I must say it was the best massage Ive ever had Pam was so knowledgeable and could pinpoint problems in my back without me telling her. I am so happy I found Pam! The massage was excellent! I love deep tissue massages and generally do not like women therapist because they cant apply the amount of pressure I require. Pams pressure was very heavy and thorough, she relieved all of my tension and knew where to find all of my trigger points. I felt like a new woman when I left. Attended June-October 2019....My experience SpaLyfe and with the owner Pam was very professional and friendly. The treatments I received (cool sculpting) was explained very well and I definitely got results. I just had my treatment today after the lockdown from COVID-19 have been eased. The entire facility is spotless and I was very pleased to see them take everyones temperature to make sure nobody is sick. The service has always been great and Pamela + Candice are the best!

She does excellent massages with lots of pressure if you want it, she can add hot stones and customize to your wishes, she let’s you pick the music and aromatherapy and is very attentive and considerate. The new location at Platt and Packard is great! The massage service is my go to in recovery. For the last 3 years I have been running a marathon per month. Pamela helps me recover, reset and get ready for the next one. You will love the massage if you are an athlete who gets sore.

I purchased the Cavitation Package at SpaLyfe of 10 treatments for fat reduction and skin tightening. I have already started to notice a difference in my stomach after only 2 treatments! Pamela is the best massage therapist Ive encountered in the past 20 years. I was lucky to get the groupon, and signed up for a 3 massage deal after the first one, when I noticed she really does have healing hands...shes not just doing her job like many massage therapists are...shes got that special touch and cares about the well-being of her clients. Very strong and lots of stamina, so if you like deep tissue massage youre going to be happy...but doesnt need to be if you like it light. Adaptive, versatile, you can pick your own music, and such a joyful and compassionate person, its the reason I keep going back. TERRIBLE customer service and unproffesional owner. I had bought a service yesterday ahead of time before I even got it done and wasn’t told about their “refund policy” before buying so when I changed my mind because of their difficult scheduling and terrible reviews I just didn’t even want to get a service done anymore so she tells me I can’t get a refund. I didn’t even get this service done I just payed an invoice so I found that weird so I was confused on why she couldn’t just refund me. I went up there and I let her know that she did not let me know about her refund policy on the phone when she was talking about the service and her response was she didn’t have to and how Kroger’s doesn’t either but funny thing is they actually have it listed where you are purchasing...She also stated that basically I have to look for it on her website under the frequently asked questions when I didn’t even pay on the website which makes no sense it should’ve been posted with the invoice that was sent to my EMAIL and made clear, I wasn’t directed to the website to pay but apparently I’m just supposed to know to go look through the frequently asked questions for the refund policy.Any PROFESSIONAL place wouldn’t let this happen and if anything they would make an exception to make the customer happy but they LACK in customer service skills.

It was really important to me to have clear skin for my wedding. I was trying everything I could think of, but having no luck; until, I met Pamela. She was incredibly knowledgeable about skin types and treatments and, soon, she had me on the right track. In about 8 weeks, I went from mild/moderate acne to clear skin and my wedding photos were flawless. Additionally, I sometimes struggle with neck pain and my husband has chronic lower back pain from doing dentistry all day long. Thanks to the Spa Membership we are able to get affordable massages monthly and that has really made a difference in how our bodies feel. Thank you Pamela!!!

Pamela Pettway at Spa Lyfe on Washtenaw is a con artist, unprofessional, and completely sadistic in the way she gives a massage. She will try to pressure you into buying additional packages, and even if you ask for a refund the same day and cancel your appointment she will refuse to refund you. She has a NO REFUND policy hidden in a FAQ page on her website so you cant see it. There is no sign posted at checkout.During the massage, she grated her thumb into the stop of my skull until I had to scream OW! to get her to stop. My head still hurts 5 days later. I also have pain in my shoulder from her shoddy techniques. She also kept pressing her thumb into my spine which was extremely uncomfortable and made me worried she would snap my spinal chord.She is rude and will bend you every which way without asking if it is comfortable. If you want to feel like you are getting a massage from a bull wrestling rodeo clown in an unfinished construction site come here.

I used Groupon to find this place. The lady doing my facial was really nice, but honestly, it was lackluster. There was no towel keeping my hair out of my face, so little strands kept falling onto my face while she was applying masks and stuff. In addition, the light was very harsh and it was hard to find anything relaxing with the noises in the other rooms. The worst part is that my skin looked worse afterwords! I specifically told my facialist that I was worried about cystic acne and blackheads. However, instead of helping my skin, she ended up making it look worse and more acne showed up when I woke up the next day. Would NOT recommend.

When I came for the first, Pamela barely looked at me across the counter to find me ineligible for this service and proceed to try to sell me a more expensive one. She called this “a consultation”…Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam.Beware of the NO REFUND, expiration of packages, and late/no show/cancellation policies.Think twice before pulling out your credit card to schedule an appt. online, and above all DON’T PREPAY!!!!!

I used a Groupon to get lash extensions here. It was for one classic set and a fill. Candace was very nice and accomodating when she had to come in on a day she doesnt usually work. The lash application experience was very nice (nice music, environment, etc). However, her technique wasnt the best at all--she glued extensions half way on some lashes (which fell off before the others) and completely missed sections of my lashes. To my disappointment, all of the lash extentions completely fell off within the first week, and thats with top care. I came back in recently for a fill and she missed huge sections of my lashes again. I am writing this the next morning and about 5 extensions fell out through the the night. I really wanted to love this place but I am simply not getting good results.

I really wanted to like this place. IMHO though I think theyre trying to be too many things for too many people. Their menu of services is way too extensive for the limited room / staff and it showed.First, I got a Groupon for a foot massage. I was surprised when there was no pedi style chair or something like that. I was seated on an ottoman with no back, although a round bumper was given to me to support my back. Then one of those drug store style foot baths was brought out. I was left alone for a foot soak and then notice a fly in the water, which kind of icked out the whole experience. Then when the foot massage started I was moved to the table. She definitely is strong so I imagined her table massages might be good -- as some have reviewed.I had eagerly purchased a body wrap special sent in an email *before* my foot massage, or after that experience wouldve canceled it. So I went with low expectations. Ive had a body wrap at Jessicas which was phenomenal so new sort of what to expect.I was told to disrobe to my underwear and lie on the table. Nothing to cover myself with so I grabbed something to at least cover my chest.She put oil all over my body, but it was just Now oil, which isnt as great as I expected. Then she applied some type of scrub, which smelled great. I was then wrapped in mylar (I think) and covered with blanket and left to doze.Upon return, she proceeded to wipe me down with warm towels to get all the scrub off. Problem is she only had a couple small hand towels that came out of the warmer. After she was finished she left one towel I could use before dressing. By the time I was home there was still scrub on me.As already mentioned, I just think theyre trying to be too many things.

Absolutely horrible experience. Incredibly rude owner. Purchased a COUPLES spa package from groupon. Called to schedule and was told we only schedule online. Bye. Looked online for the package and couldnt find it, so I called back. Was told its there, youre just not looking hard enough. Its called like mini spa day or something. She didnt even know the name of her own service.Showed up for our appointment and she told us they dont offer a couples package, Groupon screwed up. So I said Id called twice to ask how to schedule and she immediately snapped at me with woah, calm down. Do you want a good service today? Because the way youre acting youre not going that direction.We walked out and will be contacting Groupon for our money back. Would rate negative stars if I could.
