Ive been struggling to find a good hair stylist since I moved to Michigan. I saw the amazing reviews about Jen and gave her a call. From the beginning, she was extremely kind and understanding and detailed the process. She also told me up front how much it would cost which is nice for someone who never carries cash. Ive been so insecure about my hair and she FINALLY made me feel confident again! The room was clean, she was on time and got me in and out within hour and a half. Cant wait to go back. :)

Very Beautiful Studio & Catrina of Appointed Beauty is an excellent stylist. I was recommended to her & was very pleased. I got my hair colored, wash, press & curled. I was in & out no wait time & she did a fabulous job on my hair. I also took the little girl I care for & got her hair braided ( she’s very well with toddlers) & her mom couldn’t stop thanking me for her daughter’s lovely hair style.

I needed a make-up artist for my wedding, it was hard finding a salon that could accommodate six brides maid including myself. I reached out to Hair Essentials and multiple salons called me back. Everyone was friendly and helped me in a timely manor with hair, nails and makeup. Our groomsmen even got their hair cuts at the barber shop. Appointed Beauty Studio is the best!! I had the pleasure of meeting Catrina about two weeks ago when I brought my daughter in to get her hair braided (cornrows). I recently took another child in on Saturday (cornrows again) and both times I left happy with their hair. Atmosphere is relaxed and the place is nice and clean and Catrina is very nice!

Tried scheduling a consult as I hadnt been there before. Calls are routed through a dispatch center??? Everytime I asked for a manager they said the mgr is unavailable can we take your number and have them call you back. It never happened. Called today and explained to the dispatch operator that Im not from the area and would like some idea of who can perform the services Id be seeking. Without asking the operator assumed Id be getting braids because I stated that I was seeking someone familiar with African American hair. The dispatch operator said they didnt have a consult option, I suggested having a stylist call me ( THERE IS NO MANAGER) a stylist would have understood my questions. I told the operator that I was very close to giving a bad review of my experience thus far to which she replied well why do you want to come here What a good rep would have done is find out which salon I would be visiting, contact a stylist, tell them my concerns and have them call me. I wasnt a high profile enough client to be treated that way. Wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

Hair Essentials Salon Studios is has a delightful and unique set up that allows many services to be more private and give that one on one feeling without the pressure of feeling rushed by other customers leering at their watch and back to you. Chez Michelle is absolutely the BEST. Her product lines are current. Her technique is flawless. The length of time her work lasts is well beyond what I thought was normal. She listens to what you want and delivers. Her knowledge is vast and loves a challenge of producing that color by layering just the right amount in the correct way. I have been coming here for years. Loyal customer. Erica in room 1 did my hair. An amazing job for years. Now she just no call no shows. I drive an hour to see her, because I love the way she does my hair and she has been no showing for sometime now. At least a month, but this has been happening all year. Customers are even knocking on doors close to hers to see if shes even been in. They all say no. This isnt new or recent. She has lost a lot of business because of this. Completely unprofessional. Show up when you book a client, BE THERE! Because thats your JOB! As far as Im concerned she owes my $31.05 for the drive that I made to her and then back home. DO NOT COME TO SEE HER! COMPLETELE WASTE OF TIME. DOES NOT SHOW UP. WONT ANSWER PHONE CALL. AND WILL NOT TEXT YOU BACK. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

I had been contacting the owner, Andrea, for over 2 years! Calling to find out information, to see if I could tour the building. Each time I talked myself out of it. I would just go online and look from there. Well, a couple weeks ago I decided to go. I was totally amazed! The level of professionalism, just of the staff, was impressive. Very friendly, helpful...and the atmosphere of the building was just beautiful. It was very elegant in there. Fast forward a week in, and Im now leasing a suite within the building. I was completely floored at all of the things Andrea offered to set me up to encourage my success from her end. You definitely dont go in feeling alone. Being a first time business owner, I had many questions, times of excitement, and times of nervousness. Andrea was very patient and thorough with everything! I love my suite! I love the concept. ..I havent even worked my first Saturday yet, but there will be complimentary donuts for clients....I mean what more can a girl ask for?! Be careful, discovered these are independent stylists not really connected. Would never use this stylist again. Wish I remembered her name! Sent her pictures (per her request)of what I wanted & she didnt come even close.... either hair cut or color. When I asked for a correction she made me pay a second time! Should have walked out.

The lady we had do my daughters hair was nice enough but spoke in another language that I could not speak almost the entire time with the other gal. That is a bit uncomfortable.The final product though was what made me give this review. The stitching from the sew in weave was so obvious that I took out the extensions as soon as we got home.There were two african american ladies who came in while we were there and their hair looked great. Perhaps our stylist was not familiar with putting in hair extensions in white hair? But she should not have said she could if she was not sure she was capable.

Great location! I love the separate salon suites and my hair has never felt better.
