My dermatologist referred me to U of M after a diagnosis of aggressive malignant melanoma (from 45 years ago, all you sun worshippers). Following a number of tests, it was determined to be stage 3. When I met Dr. Sabel for the first time, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease, and the longer we discussed my condition, the more my trust in him grew. It was not misplaced. The pathology report came back clean and negative, the best possible outcome. I have another on-going issue that may or may not require further treatment, and will not hesitate to seek his care again.From the first person I encountered at U of M to the last, I was treated with kindness and compassion throughout my visits. A 100% stellar medical facility.Thank you, Dr. Sabel!

Frankly, I felt like I was treated like a walking dollar sign. Much like some of the other doctors Ive seen recently, Dr. Sabel pushed me towards getting an unnecessary surgery and continued to push it after I declined. I have a non-cancerous tumor, I went to Dr. Sabel because I was interested in hearing other options for my non-urgent medical issue, he works in Cryoablation and I wanted to hear more about it. He told me he didnt want to, not that he couldnt, nor that it wouldnt be effective, but he didnt want to. (In fact he said it would work just as well)He then tried to schedule me for surgery. I declined because Im still exploring my options and he told me he would refer me somewhere else. Several days later I got the number for another hospital and more inquiry about scheduling the next steps for surgery from his team.The only reason I was given for having surgery is that may tumor may continue to grow and could someday become uncomfortable.Overall, not pleased with the encounter.

The year I spent going back and forth for my breast cancer treatment was a very scary time for me my husband and children. .I want to say the doctors the nurses the complete staff were compassionate and caring and most of all professional ...thank you for your help getting me through this year..my mammogram on feb 13 was negative. ..Im having a hard time keeping this smile off my face..Ill now go on with my life.thanks to all of you... Again thank you all ❤❤
