I have been sick for months and instead of trying to help me, she keeps telling me the same thing over and over which is not helping. I have seen her a few times and I am not getting better. She rushes you out of the room and does not listen to you. I will be going elsewhere to someone who actually listens and helps me because this provider doesn’t do that.

Deeply unimpressed. Wish I could give zero stars. Earlier this year I experienced a sudden onset of reflux symptoms which progressed to daily nausea and vomiting. After a new patient video visit and subsequent calls to the office I was prescribed anti-nausea medication and scheduled for an endoscopy. I should note that support staff and nurses were very compassionate throughout.After the endoscopy I had a lot of discomfort in my throat and esophagus when swallowing on top of my already very uncomfortable symptoms. My video follow up with Dr. Punglia was very brief and showed she had not reviewed my chart at all (she advised me to follow up with the dietician - completely unaware that I had already seen the dietician several times). She told me nothing showed up on my endoscopy and I should revisit in six months. When pressed about my continued symptoms which caused me to lose a lot of unintended weight she said, “a lot of people would like to have that problem.” Really? A lot of people would like to sick, see their quality of life suddenly diminish, throw up, and be underweight? All in a five minute follow up. This is not compassionate care.I’ve since sought a second opinion with another doctor and had another endoscopy (because she did not biopsy everything). Guess what? Nothing hurt this time and I was actually listened to. I would not recommend her to anyone. Seek another doctor at U of M.

My experience with Dr. Punglia was terrible at best. Not only was she incredibly rude and ill mannered, my entire appointment took place from her bed, which even in recent times, strikes me as highly unprofessional. She didnt look at my chart or any test results prior to my appointment and ordered the same tests I just had done less than six months ago. She seemed bothered anytime I would speak without first being questioned. Overall, a terrible experience and I wont be going back.
