Nurse rushed through my visit completely. She barely would let me talk or explain my concerns and symptoms. How can they properly treat if you cannot even explain what is going on? Doctor wasnt as bad but he still was very detached from his patients it seems and didnt help me what so ever. Modern day medicine doesnt suprise me anymore, my husband told me not to schedule an appointment with a doctor lol prooves my point....they treat you like a sub human and never help. Money money money and rushing the patient out as fast as they can. What a joke.

I have personally found this facility to be very good, if not excellent. However, I did witness a situation at the lab today that was disheartening. A little old women in a wheelchair went up to the counter to get bloodwork done. It was a very cold and snowy day (6 or so inches of snow on the ground this morning). The roads were terrible. It was 6:28 on my phone clock and 6:31 on the wall clock. The labs were said to be closing at 7:00. The woman behind the counter refused to do the paperwork for the elderly woman (so that the elderly women could get her lab work done) because it was “past 6:30” and she wouldn’t be able to be finished in time for closing. The little old woman began to cry and said, “How could you.” She sat there upset and the security rolled her away. I wish I could have helped this little old lady at the time, but at least I can be a voice for her now. Hopefully some flexibility based on individual circumstances can be considered for the future.

Very nice building, extremely fast service (we barely could sit down in the waiting room before being called back), and the ultrasound technician was incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of her way to make my 10mo old son as comfortable as possible - she was even able to get a few laughs out of him during the process. Wonderful overall experience that I certainly wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others, thank you very, very much!

I have stopped going to U-M facilities because of they charge visits as an outpatient procedure. I saw this ENT doctor for 15 minutes with no answers about my issue. It was not worth the amount of money I paid. I also have excellent insurance through work. They just dont pay on the facility charge. I would encourage you to find a non UM practice. You will save money and get the same care.

If you are an infusion patient this place rates the highest for me in the area. They have an infrared vein finder, a nice view with spacious bays and your own TV to keep you occupied. My infusion visits are long (4-6hrs based on treatment day) and the staff was accommodating and made sure I was comfortable. They have snacks but if you have to be there for a long day they will even heat your food up :) I felt like I went to infusion heaven!

Let me just say, I took my nine month old in there for blood work. The ladies there were so good with her and distracted and played with her while she got her blood drawn. And the doctors here are very professional and thorough. I drive 45 minutes to come see these doctors, if that gives you any idea.

I am so happy with the beautiful new facility and with the care I receive there. I felt so much better after seeing Dr. Ostafin there yesterday. I have been experiencing post-lung cancer surgery complications and went in an emotional mess. The nurse was caring and compassionate as well as my dr. I feel so lucky to be a patient at West Ann Arbor Health.

After a month of calls, emails, messages and an appointment...this place is a HUGE disappointment. I have always, almost always, received excellent within the UMHS. It is hard to believe my last doc office and this one are run by the same health care system. It is unfortunate my doc switched offices.

I scheduled an appointment here for an issue with my nose and when I saw the doctor, she said I’d have to be seen by a “nose specialist”. So my first visit was a total waste of time and I had to reschedule on a day the nose specialist would be in. I got a call the morning of my appointment saying that it had been cancelled because that doctor called in sick, which is fine, and I can understand that. So, I rescheduled it again and showed up to my appointment only to find out they had rescheduled my new appointment to a different date and time without ever speaking with me. To top it off, they rescheduled it on a day the nose specialist doesn’t even work. The doctor then told me they could get me in with a “general specialist” a couple days away... well, I don’t think it takes a U of M graduate to figure out that the general specialist is going to tell me the same thing, that I need to be seen by a nose specialist. So now I’m out two vacation days and it’s been 4 weeks and I still don’t know whats wrong with me. Highly disappointed!

I had an appointment at 10:20 A.M. 02/19/2018. I arrived at 10:05 A.M and filled out the basic paperwork. I was in the waiting room until 10:54 when I was finally called back. it did not appear to be busy, but from what I was told the doctor had 3 other patients they were attending. It was not until 11:57 A.M. that I finally saw the doctor. I asked them if it was a busy day since I was waiting so long (an hour and thirty-seven minutes after my appointment). They told me they were explaining. Understandably I did know what that meant so they went on to say that they needed to explain to other patients who it seems didnt understand easily (I assume they just had lots of questions) what they were dealing with and how they would be preceding.Anyways Ive been dealing with a lot of symptoms with my ears, throat, sinuses, and (recently) eyes for about 9 months (starting from an ear infection) that were getting progressively worse. I had dryness in my mouth, throat, eyes, and sinuses. I also had crackling in my ears when swallowing, along with constant pain and differing degrees of autonomy in my ears. In my left ear I got autonomy while yawning/humming and in the other it happened if I talked too loudly. There is always a sensation of swelling and discomfort around my ears/sinuses and I started getting a pins-and-needles tingling sensation in both my ears that was quite uncomfortable. I always feel parched but water doesnt help alleviate it and I have been developing build up of phlegm that Ive never had issue with before. A few weeks of my symptoms progressing I developed inexplicable acid reflux that would occur despite attempts to change diet and even when I was on an empty stomach (it didnt even burn when it came up). I was suppressing it with prilosec but it seemed to be a symptom that arose with the worsening of other problems. For some context, I am only 27 years old and have otherwise been very healthy up to this point. The doctor asked me what I hoped to achieve here. I told them I wanted a diagnosis at least, or some helpful advice on how to precede. They did a quick 2 minute examination and simply said my throat looks dry (yes I know! Everything is dry. It hurts!). I said that I did use biotene a few times but didnt want to become dependent on it. I want to know why these problems are happening and potential solutions; not just keep taking biotene and other moisturizing products to cover up the dryness forever. They responded that Biotene isnt addictive and I should keep using it... of course its not addictive. Thats not what I meant. What really got me was a snarky response before they left that I should stay off the internet. Like Im some hypochondriac that makes up symptoms or exaggerates the ones I do have to get attention. No, Im in a LOT of pain and need some actual guidance on what is causing it, along with potential solutions. Even recommending tests that might give some answers or having a doctor with some actual time on their hands to see me would be appreciated. The doctor spent less than 20 minutes with me and was rushing away at around 12:15 P.M Presumably to catch lunch or another patient that has been waiting hours after their scheduled appointment.I held my tongue as they left but it wasnt easy. The receptionist on the way out asked a couple questions, like if I would be returning to see the doctor. I said no. It was on the way out of the building that I couldnt take it anymore and actually started to cry in frustration. I dont cry very often but it took me a while to stop. I took a day off to spend 4 hours driving and waited over 90 minutes to see a specialist doctor only to be dismissed and insulted.

Although I do love my childrens ped, Dr. Rao, and I did have extremely good delivery experiences, my billing experience has been horrible. Ive been on a billing payment plan for almost 2 years sense my son was born and all of a sudden they just sent me a letter saying if I didnt pay the balance due ASAP then they were sending it to collections! Ive made their payment requested every single month within the month that I recieved the bill, minus the month of April from being out of town so the bill didnt get sent out until the very last day and they received it a few days into the next month, but also received the May payment 2 weeks later so all was caught up by the end of May. And on June 1st I received a letter saying they were sending to collections. 1 month late and sent to collections doesnt make sense and the rep I talked to had no answers, because she saw no other issues in my account. Thank goodness I will never be having another child through their hospital because I do NOt trust their billing department at all! Check every statement people before you pay your bill, one time they tried to charge us for something my son never even had done!

One of several Michigan Medicine satellites, it offers a convenient alternative to the Main Medical Campus for a range of services. It is the current site for drive thru COVID testing. For those procedures available, it provides a handy alternative to paying the Main Campus parking fees. COVID screening is conducted at this site. A mask is required for entry just as in all Michigan Medicine facilities.
