I cannot praise them enough. I was so well-taken care of, listened to, and tended to before, during, and after my surgical procedure. The women here genuinely listen and care, its not just vague platitudes or fake kindness. My hand was held every step of the way and I felt fully in control. It was tremendously sad and I felt nothing but understanding, patience, and love the entire time. You can fully trust them with your needs.

Arrived for my schedualed appointment 15 min early. Was met at door by employee who told me they had a total system failure & have had to close down for the entire day.... she said sorry & locked the door. Not that she even asked If there was a emergent need...way to care for your patients PP!!AND dont bother going to Livonia location... they have NO CLUE what they are doing...I think the NP who placed my IUD, must have been her 1st time doing so...HIRRIBLE!!

I have been waiting for over two hours and still have not been completely checked in. When I called an hour ago I was told there was one person ahead of me and then my education person would call. I still have yet to be called and haven’t even done my ultrasound yet. This appointment is clearly going to take longer than the estimated three hours. The checkin process during Covid does not make sense and makes waiting on such a procedure unbearable. No one should have to anticipate their procedure all day after they were supposed to have it done.

Wow. I asked for the first appointment of the day which was at 8:20, got a call later that said theyre having daily morning meetings so the earliest appointment is 9:10. Okay, fine.I drove 30 minutes to get here and checked in before 9:10 and they told me they just needed to get the room ready. Its now past 10 and Im still not past the check in stage.Just now I called and asked for a time estimation, and she couldnt even give me a time estimate of when Ill move on to the education stage, but assured me I was up next when Im the first appointment of the day and have been sitting by this entrance and no other patients have come in.If the facility opens at 8 (but has daily meetings so no appointments until 9), they should still be ready to take in patients at 9. This is not a radical idea--this IS the whole concept behind making appointmentsWhen I called to get a time estimate and tried to gently say hey, its a little frustrating to drive and not be seen for 50 minutes, if you cant be ready at 9 then perhaps dont make appointments for 9 the receptionist coldly chided me and informed me someone shouldve told me I shouldve prepared for the appointment to take 3-6 hours. Three to six HOURS??? For the first appointment??? God help you if you come in the middle of the day. When I made the appointment I was told it could take UP TO three hours, not three hours minimum ffs. When I dared to speak up the receptionist essentially said you dont like it schedule a different day when you can spare 6 hours. I already am using PTO for this. At best this is inconvenient, at worst this can be a time sink causing low income women to lose time from work or even not even being able to be seen once the true time cost is revealedThis is so disrespectful and for what PP provides, a very callous treatmemt of patients. Im extremely frustrated.Tldr: Made the first appointment of the day to not wait and Im just thanking my lucky stars I dont have to use the bathroom as Ive been sitting in the parking lot for over an hour and they dont let you in the building before your appointment

I went in and got the depo shot for birth control, I wasn’t informed on all the MAJOR side effects, such as: having a “period” for over 2 months, hair loss, extreme weight gain & loss and throwing up 2 times a day since I got it. i’m very disappointed as a doctor should inform you of things like this. not to just “deal with it.”

This was my first visit to a PP. I genuinely had an all around great visit. Scheduled an appointment to have my BC implant removed. They kept me informed of information as well as appointment reminders. The staff was fantastic, all so welcoming and kind. Waited about 30-40 min before being called back and another 20ish min to see the clinician after general information was taken. Spent 2 solid hours there not a huge complaint. I suggest you not be in a hurry if you schedule here. However the clinician was fantastic, so funny and nice. Ive never had so much fun at an appointment before. My BC removal was quick and painless, just a small poke from numbing but didnt feel a thing. The staff did a great job soothing my nerves and made me feel so comfortable. Made sure i had all the info before i left as well. Keep up the great work ladies 😊

The staff here is absolutely fantastic. They were patient, kind, attentive, and caring during the entirety of my procedure. My literal only complaint is the wait time, but that’s understandable with both covid and with how they want to (and succeed in) treat every patient who comes in. There are protesters in front of the clinic that are extremely pushy, but the staff here does a well job informing you on how to avoid them entirely. My procedure (while painful because of how bad cramping was. Completely normal for me seeing as how bad cramping has been through my whole life with everything lol) was extremely quick. They do give you medicine before and after the procedure and are with you through the entire thing (with the exception of before, while you prepare, but even then there’s a nurse available around the corner if you need anything). They helped me find a birth control that works for me that I didn’t even know was an option, that has no hormones so I’m both not Allergic like I am to almost everything else, and it doesn’t effect my manic depression like I’m used to the pill doing. They help you make extremely well informed answers and make sure your comfort is their priority.

Initially I was extremely nervous about coming to this facility. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I was greeted by a nice older gentleman that helped me steer clear of a protestor that was located outside. I was thankful for that. When I entered the building I was greeted by the front desk administrator and she was nice as ever! She was well informed about all the information I would be needing throughout my time there. Im extremely surprised at these negative comments and reviews about this particular PP. Every single person that I encountered here was warm, friendly, and well educated. The entire staff genuinely cared for every person that walked through that door. If I am ever in need of services again from PP I will be coming here. You guys are truly amazing and compassionate people. Im am so thankful for that.

I had an amazing experience. I was a little nervous but sure of my decision to have an abortion but the staff set my mind at ease. Everyone was very helpful and sweet and although the procedure was a bit painful there was a nurse there holding my hand and talking to me the whole time. And afterwords they gave me snacks and juice and had me rest with a blanket and heating pad. Very very pleased.

For those coming here for the first time: Do not fear! The staff and surgeon are absolutely a delight. The procedure is quick, and the pain is bearable. They give you medication *before* the procedure and a *prescription afterwards*. They also have juice and snacks for you while youre in the recovery room waiting :). In the waiting room, they have movies on. I was very nervous before coming here, but rest assured you will be very well taken care of! For anyone who needs services from planned parenthood, this is the place I will recommend!

3.5 hours and $50 just to get a prescription filled for birth control I was on for 6 months before I needed a prescription refill. The only reason they get more than one star is because the receptionist was so nice. Will never return here again. That was just the prescription price too. The birth control was $124.

Bad look Planned Parenthood. I made an appointment weeks ago for today, just to sit for 30 minutes after my appointment, to then be told I still wouldnt be seen for another hour. I always come to this location specifically. After today, Ill be looking elsewhere since what I made the appointment for is something I consider to be a priority. Not to mention I set aside the time for this appointment, when I could have just been working. Im so disappointed.

Stopped by for the first time as a walk in, and they were able to see me within thirty minutes with minimal paperwork. Very friendly and polite staff. They told me right up front that since I have no job currently I would pay on a donation basis, completely optional - they have a sliding scale. Nurse assistant was thorough and non-judgemental in her questions. Doctor was obviously very experienced and put my mind at ease. And I walked out with the meds I needed on hand, no waiting for a pharmacy. True to their word, there was no bill, even for the medication. A very efficient and effective trip - I donated and I would again.

I am 18 weeks pregnant and unfortunately my baby was diagnosed with several abnormalities. These include a multicystic dysplastic kidney on the right kidney, no left kidney and no bladder. Due to these complications my baby has no amniotic fluid which doesnt allow development of the babys lungs. No amniotic fluid also means I have no barrier from bacteria entering the uterus, so I can contract an infection at anytime. An infection could make me infertile so I wouldnt be able to have another baby in the future. Obviously I want my baby as I have taken my prenatal vitamins daily, quit caffeine, no medications, and been eating healthy including no nitrates, no canned items and sufficient water throughout the day. Even though Ive done all I can as a mother, the baby has a 0% chance of living past the point the ambilacal cord is cut even if Im able to carry the baby to term. Due to no lung development my baby wouldnt even be able to draw a breath before dying if it manages to survive to term. Currently my baby is being crushed by the pressure of my own organs and is still trying to grow in an environment that wont grow with it leading to severe disfigurement and limb mobility. This planned Parenthood offered to help but wont allow me to get my baby cremated for whatever reason. All I am asking for is to have my babys remains so that I can do everything I can to honor my baby and show him the respect and love he deserves. Two days after making my appointment and the night before driving hours to get to my appointment to get there at 9am, Planned Parenthood chose to tell us our wishes wont be able to be carried out. They wanted to give me and my husband time to process this and come to terms of not having our baby cremated. The person who told us this sat on this information for more than a day before thinking of disclosing this important information to us. She delivered the message as though it was only a hiccup and that we will still move forward with the procedure. Obviously they dont care about these precious babies that come through those doors for them to not even give loving parents their last wish for their terminal child. Please remember, not everyone that is getting an abortion necessarily wants it, sometimes its just the cards theyre dealt. My husband and I tried for over 13 months before our son was conceived. I have now lost another 3 days that I couldve been getting help through someplace that actually wanted to help me. Dont go through this place if you value what happens to your baby afterwards. Goodness knows why they wouldnt at least let a funeral home transport him to let our wishes be carried out. Thank you for reading this long review, not everyone cares but I do.

Overall, my experience was great. I came to this clinic twice. One was for a surgical abortion at 5 weeks. (Though my abortion failed due to how extremely early I was, I do fare warn anyone who is under 6 weeks to PLEASE wait until your pregnancy is further along to see well enough under an ultrasound to consider abortion because failure rate is higher and I didnt know that till after words)! Just a heads up. But anyway... my second visit was due to the failed abortion. I ended up finding out and having another surgical abortion at 13 weeks and 6 days... scary I know. I would have continued my pregnancy at that point but the risks were high and I just couldnt unfortunately. However, my experience there was great. Although it was a hell of a lot scarier the second time around because of how far I was.. I was treated with respect and the entire staff was amazing. They were all so nice and understanding and due to my sticky situation, my second visit and procedure was done at absolutely no cost. The nurses and doctor were great and they informed me with everything that I needed to know. They treated me as if I were family before and after my procedure. Very loving envirornment and even one of the nurses recognized me from my previous visit and told me how sorry she was for what happened. They were all so compassionate and I really felt like I was treated great. I would reccomend to any girl or couple looking for love and support.

I called this planned parenthood and the other planned parenthood in Ann Arbor to see if they gave you a ultrasound because my period is irregular and I wasnt entirely sure how far along I was. They both told me no, they dont do ultrasounds. The woman at the front desk of the PP on Professional was EXTREMELY rude and treated me like I was stupid for asking a question. The other woman at the pp on stadium was very kind, but neither informed me that YES you do do ultrasounds as long as youre going in for a termination appointment. So I waited two extra weeks to get a ultrasound at a obgyn when I was aware my pregnancy was unhealthy and that I would ultimately have to terminate anyways. Got that ultrasound. I called again to schedule for termination. I MADE SURE to ask about IV medication because I did NOT want this procedure done without being sedated to the fullest effect, NOT ibuprofen or a pain pill. They failed to let me know that there is apparently a limit on how many IVs they give per day, and didnt mark in my chart that I wanted the twilight sedation. The woman educating me on the day of my appointment left to go speak to her boss about this as I told her I was no comfortable doing this procedure without the sedation, she comes back only to inform me there is a weight or bmi limit to this procedure. The person who took my appointment knew I had pcos (causes obesity) and never informed me of this. I am obese but I weigh less than 300 lbs and I see women and people in general bigger than me every day. If the bmi limit is that low for the sedation maybe you should let your patients know beforehand. So now I have to be sent to U OF M which costs extra, not to mention when I arrived despite two different locations telling me they dont do ultrasounds the first thing performed, before discussing sedation, was a ultrasound so I left paying 200 $ for ABSOLUTELY nothing except pain and the dragging out of a situation that is extremely stressful and painful to me, I support that you support women pp, but maybe you need to be reminded to support all women this includes women with issues like pcos.
