Will not go ever again nor recommend them to anyone. I went in for a checkup here because I had recently moved to Iowa full time. They found cavities and a follow up appointment was made. I went into the filling appointment in no pain, however after a day I was in incredible pain. I was told this was normal and that it may be sensitive for up to 4 weeks. I now have ended up with 1 root canal, a cracked filling that they had not even removed all the decay from during the appointment, and I will need more root canals in the future. Do not go here, I am in pain months after, the cost savings is not worth it.

I called Aspen Dental due to my insurance company recommending them. I explained to them my issue which was severe pain for the last 3 days they were able to get me in right away and assess the problem. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and understanding as I was very upset and worried about everything. Doctor Steve is great and I felt very confident and comfortable with him.

They were very courteous and showed me everything that would need to be done on taking care of my teeth very accommodating with everything from check-in through the appointment on through the exam would highly recommend them to anybody

Warm and friendly front staff. I didnt have to wait long to be taken back. There was only compassion from Kaley and Dr Steve. No judgment felt at all. Everyone was very professional and made sure I knew what was going on.

The only positive thing I can say about this place is they got me in quickly the dentist was a rough and when they started working prior I told them I still have feeling in my mouth and they started anyways and they had to stop in the middle of pulling my tooth and give me more Novacaine! Then I ended up getting dry socket which was my own fault but I returned a couple days later in excruciating pain and they said take some Tylenol well anybody that ever has had dry socket nose that Tylenol does not even touch the pain that I was in I literally spent a week in bed they would not give me anything I had to go to urgent care to get anabiotic‘s even that would work! And then not to mention also I literally sat there for two hours before they started working on me when I got there they took me back in about 20 minutes and then I sat back there for an hour and 45 minutes almost before I finally seen the dentist! The front desk lady was very nice but as for the rest of my experience it was very poor unfortunately.

As a truck driver i always have a problem to get any appointment. Now after many years my teeth give me a terrible pain and it happens when I just picked up my next load in NJ going to IA. For weekend i stop home in Indiana, but when I checked all surrounding area dentists at Monday, nobody was able to help with no appointment. I called my dispatcher Tuesday morning and explained my problem. My destination was Ankeny IA and right after my night stop for delivery I had appointment next morning in Aspen Dental Clinic in Ankeny. Terrible pain was taken all my power and slipping time off me for last couple days. I was so happy, when I received msg from my dispatcher about the plan. Visit the Aspen office at morning seeing nice, friendly and ready to help beautiful ladies. Dr Steven Yuan was taken care of my problem and after few ( terrible long) minutes he leave me out of my torture. Im so glad I stop there with this nice team. Thank you Dr Yuan, thank you all stuff.

A positive experience all around.Having a professional actually listen to my concerns and offer potential options that made sense was a real gratifying experience.Staff was also very professional in answering all my questions pertaining to their services.

I went Aspen Dental to replace my 17 or 18 old both upper and lower teeth. I was always greeted with friendly staff, on my second visit while on the phone, the young lady asking COVID questions, the last about being around anyone with I answer not knowledge and sure hope I haven’t been around that .The young burst giggling and I that giggle, she there would quite a bit of the giggles and there sure was . Like many people, I am usually nervous to go to the dentist, but the staff at Aspen put me at ease! They were kind and helpful and worked with me to make my visit affordable, since I don’t have dental insurance. I will definitely be going back in the future.

I went to Aspen Dental yesterday for a wisdom teeth consultation. I was there 5m early and filled out the paperwork ASAP and was ready a little after 4pm when my appointment was scheduled. I was not called until a little after 4:30pm. I got x-rays done and was seated. Dental hygienist came in and hardly said a word to me. Someone sent me back out to the lobby to wait at 4:45pm. I sat in the lobby for 30+ minutes before someone brought me back to the office for the quote. Out of the 1.5 hours I spent at Aspen Dental yesterday, I was only actually attended to for about 15m. What a waste!Overall, bed side manner was poor and the wait was much too long considering I heard folks laughing in the back and only saw 1-3 other patients. That said, after insurance, the quote I had on my wisdom teeth surgery was reasonable and the office assistant helping me schedule was very friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were laughing by the end of my exam. How often does that happen at the dentist! Glad I went.

It was okay. Waited an hour to get in, but I understand that that can happen. They went over financials with me and really pushed for me to apply for credit options (I think they probably get some kind of kick back if they get people signed up?) And I had to really be insistent for them to tell me how to just pay some now and some later. Overall not terrible, but could have been better.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. My bite was not quite right from a previous dentist visit at another unrelated facility and the Doctor was nice enough to readjust it for me. It was quick and painless. No numbing required and I really appreciated that I was able to IMMEDIATLY feel the difference in my bite. The DA made easy conversation and I could really tell how much he loves what he does. Definitely my best dentist experience.

The good: I got in quickly and, at least two days after the appointment, I think my problem is fixed.The bad: I wont be going back. Communication was poor. No one walked through the appointment structure. I expected a teeth cleaning with my exam/crown fix and that didnt happen. There were two assistants (both reasonably kind) who were present at different times throughout the appointment, but apparently neither were hygienists (the office doesnt have any, and if I want my teeth cleaned in the future the dentist would do it). I still dont know the name of the dentist who had her hands in my mouth and she hardly acknowledged me as a human.

I was very well taken care of buy the stuff. I had the appointment and youre not go back until an hour 15 minutes after appointment time however I was in new patients and they need to properly handle my new patient paperwork thats my guess thank you for your service Aspen Dental.

Every person I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Each person was part of their team and their role in my overall care was clear, but each had an impact on my visit. Because I currently don’t have dental insurance, I utilized the deal to have free exam along with X-rays. However, one consultant was very helpful in explaining my next steps of care, different options of payment, and was even able to squeeze me in for my first cleaning. Definitely recommend Natica, dental hygienist. She explained every step very clearly and answered any questions I had.Overall experience was amazing!!

Ankeny Aspen Dental from the time I walked in the door the time I left was a very great experience. They treated me well greeted by every staff I seen dental hygienist was very nice lady didnt seem like she was in too big of a hurry she took her time with me and I really enjoy that she made me comfortable by being a Down to Earth person once she was done the dentist came in greeted me asked me how I was doing checked over my teeth check my dentures make sure they fit a good she was very nice person i will be back in six months. Would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist.

Horrible experience at first. I made an appointment to get a cleaning and an hour after my appointment time I was finally seen only to find out that I was not going to be getting a cleaning, but a “consultation” for a cleaning which was 100% not relayed to me at the time I made the appointment. Turns out the appointment call was filtered through a corporate office that did not relay the proper information to me. The saving grace was the staff. Everyone was super nice and once we realized what the problem was, very willing to help get the problem resolved. The manager was very understanding an accommodating.

The Dentist had no regard for what I care I wanted based on what I could afford. I needed a a filling in a tooth to give a temporary fix to keep my tooth from getting worse. The Dentist said he would only put a crown on my tooth or extract it. I tried to tell him that I had been out of work since March 9 and only had about $400 for a procedure. He interrupted me mid sentence and said I dont want to hear it, take it outside. This dentist does not care about his patients and their needs. He is arrogant and condescending. Stay away from this dental practice. They just want your money and not develope a relationship of trust and personalized care.

It’s just a dental mill. Don’t bother making an appointment. You aren’t taken in at your appointment time- it’s first come first serve and they don’t tell you that on the phone. So there’s absolutely no point in having an appointment. Then they won’t do a 5 minute procuredure on the day you scheduled an appointment. They want another appointment! The office manager is completely unprofessional and didn’t give her name or title. She is supposed to talk to you after you are examined by the dentist. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Money money money grab chain. The dentist actually seemed like a nice woman. I feel bad for her.

Everyone there was very courteous. Got my teeth cleaned and whitened. Love the results. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I had a wisdom tooth bothering me and am a over the road commercial driver making it hard to see the dentist in short notice. The Gals here got me squeezed in on a Saturday after noon and had me stable and out of pain to get me in the following Tuesday to have it removed. I was in and out in no time. Insurance gal was in top of it! Doc was on top of it and I was in and out! Very please with service and price and the clear communication of what was happening and what was to come by the entire staff. Highly recommend you see this office for your dental needs. Zero shaming about the condition of my teeth and zero pushiness to have extra work done.

They are great to work with and explain everything so well. I sat in with my boyfriend to get a couple teeth extracted and the Dr and staff was so go with him and talked him through the procedure as well as supported him. We will defiantly refer family, friends and co-workers to this office. We also do not have dental insurance and the finance department was so great to work with and they made sure that we could still get our work done and be seen.

Save yourself some time, money, frustration and go else where. You are going to want a second opinion anyway. Been here 2 times for teeth cleaning as they used to be the only place in town to accept my insurance. They always try to get a little more from you, such as having to talk to the manager in order to decline fluoride treatments.

I have a severe case of dental phobia. These ladies are freaking rockstars! They helped me make sure I was comfortable and were always checking on me through the procedure. To make sure I was doing ok.

Went in for wisdom tooth surgery scheduled at the last minute. The staff and technicians were absolutely phenomenal and reassuring. Dr. Belil was very informative and made sure I was comfortable and understood everything. Definitely a great team.

I had a great experience with Aspen. I went there as a walk in having extremely horrible tooth pain after my regular dentist wouldnt do much for me. The check in process was super quick and I was seen very quickly after I was checked in. Everyone there was very friendly and made sure that I was comfortable. They explained everything that they were doing to me and I was aware of all the costs up front before the work was done. Very impressed.

0 star experience. Scheduled a regular cleaning and spent 30 minutes getting a screening before finding out they dont do cleanings for new patients on the first visit. Had to schedule a second visit to get my teeth cleaned. They performed a $71 cancer screening without asking or informing me that this was not covered by insurance (I had previously told the hygienist I only wanted services covered by insurance). Will not be back and will actively discourage others from visiting.

Aspen got me in asap on an emergency basis, however, other than x-rays, they couldnt do anything else. The dentist was somewhat abrupt and really didnt listen to me, idk if it was because she was busy or because she knew my insurance didnt cover anything there. But the woman who helped me apply for credit there was amazing, and shes the only reason Im giving it 3 stars, otherwise it would be one star. Mind you, this is only my experience, Im sure if you can pay and make an appointment in a timely manner youdy be treated differently.

The doctor did such a great job on my husband. He had 2 teeth extracted and the day after he is in a lot less pain then he thought he would be. Thank you Aspen Dental. The cost was also a lot less then we were expecting. Win win.

I arrived 15 minutes early as requested and then waited 45 minutes past my appointment time before I got in. No explanation, nothing. Apology from dental assistant once I got in. Another wait for the exam from dentist. No introduction or questions from the dentist. Very pushed through feel. This was an urgent appointment and Im out of state visiting so I really just needed minimal work to get me home ok. I did not know the dentist had left the room and I had questions. Got pushed to the finance person and they dont know the dental answers just money. Here was very nice kind and professional. The cost was going to be 2200. I walked out. I just couldnt afford it. So fingers crossed I can make it home to my dentist.

If I could give 0 Stars, I absolutely would.We visited the Ankeny location on a Saturday, and were happy with the flexibility provided. However, my husband and I spent a total of 3 hours to complete our examination. Most of his time was spent waiting in the waiting room and then waiting for the dentist to enter our exam room. By the end of both of our examinations, we were told we needed $3,000 worth of work done. This was after the dentist spent 10 to 15 seconds looking at each of our mouths and x-rays.We left, feeling uncomfortable with the work being suggested as neither one of us have had serious dental issues in the past. After getting second opinions, it turns out that I only had a cavity (that was missed), and my husband did not need any of the work suggested.I frequently warn everybody that I know against going to Aspen dental and would encourage people to not use this dentist.

2 of 4 appointments were changed by the dental office with short notice given. Dr. Sharma is awesome but desperately needs stronger office support staff.

Horrible place of business showed up to my appointment on time from my free X-ray and exam had to wait 20 mins and I’m the only person in the waiting room and 1 person in the back getting there teeth worked on. I finally get called to the back and get the X-ray done then they put in an chair and leave me there waiting for an hour until the hygienist comes in nice lady apologized for the wait and walked me through everything and recommended I get a teeth cleaning but after she left it was another 45 min wait to actually see the dentist and the dentist looked at my teeth not even 5 mins and said I should have all my wisdom teeth pulled which is not even the reason why I came in there for but after only seeing me for not even 5 mins she leaves and the nurse comes in and trying to sell me all kinds of extra stuff that I don’t need. Stay away they will have setting for hours and then try to shove sell after sell down your throat

I have worked with unpleasant dentists in the past, going to the dentist is intimidating enough without this.Dr. Fatahs patience and kind demeanor went a long ways in easing my trepidation. Went in for wisdom tooth pain, got free x-rays and exams for being a first time visitor! Staff was extremely polite and helpful. They identified the issue among other issues which I have chosen to put off for now due to cost. They scheduled me two weeks out to see their oral surgeon(luckily my pain subsided after a few days).Fast forward to D-day. Oral surgeon was amazing got me in the seat quickly but had a complication with seditive machine making it impossible to put me under. I was nervous and they told me I could reschedule but I decided to go ahead anyway. I am glad I did, it only took him 10 min to get the tooth out and other than the needle hurting at the beginning to numb me up it was completely painless! Im glad I was not drugged up. It seems unnecessary now that I have done it without. Great team that took care of me start to finish I will definitely be back!

The surgeon Dr. Bellil was incredible. The team took great care of me even though some other appointments had run long that day. I definitely recommend this Aspen to anyone.

I was there for the veterans appreciation day and after paying $1,600 out of pocket, having 12 teeth pulled, a set of upper dentures put in that didnt fit and cut my gums up so bad that I now cant wear them they then sent me out of there with no pain Meds and had to go to the emergency room that evening to get some pain relief. When I tried to express my concerns to the office manager Jessica Malmberg of how Ive been treated she got defensive and dismissive. My suggestion is that if you want to show your appreciation to the veterans you should encourage them to go elsewhere. I left there in more pain then when I went in and feeling like I just got screwed over

I had a tooth extraction, and they gave me anti anxiety meds to calm me down. The process from when she started drilling took all of 10 min and she was wonderful about making sure I felt no pain.

Fair experience! We feel we got the run around at this dentist office. We have been going there since October, 2015 and still dont have permanent dentures and the prices go up every time. Hopefully we will get it done sometime in the next month or two.

I was blown away with how rude and attacking the “office manager” was on the phone with me. I’ve been trying to get an incorrect bill figured out for the past couple weeks because I received a letter from a collection agency. But I’ve called 3 or 4 times and every time they say we’ll call you back(they don’t) so I finally explain that I’m upset and I need this taken care of. 5 min later I receive a call from a private/restricted number and as soon as I confirm who I am, I’m verbally attacked because “she is the only one handling insurance claims, she’s over worked and I need to give her time”(would of been great to tell me that the first time) but thank god I gave my wife one of my headphones to listen in because otherwise I’d have no proof, with her not telling me her name and calling on a restricted number. It nonstop yelling at me, I had to tell her to calm down, she responded very angrily “IM NOT UPSET” I finally said “your clearly upset so go and calm down and give me a call when your ready” I felt like I was at work. That was 2 days ago and I wondering how long I should wait for this “office manager” attempt to do her job before I call back and risk having to deal with her again. I’d love to hear back from a higher up in the company, we were completely blown away with her hostility, I wish I got her name but she said she’s the only one who takes care of insurance claims so it shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out who she it.

My wife and I havent been to a dentist in years. We finally decided to due to tooth aches for both of us. Made an appointment for us both online. Went to our appointments, had x-rays done, had our exams, talked to the dentist who explained different treatment options, talked to office manager to go over pricing and scheduling, got everything set, and were able to get in later the same day for getting tooth pulled. Very grateful to all for swiftness and ease of process! Side note, I had seen the dentists father (orthopaedic surgeon) 20 years ago. He was just as nice as his dad was!

I went in a awhile ago. They informed me I had 7 cavities.... They also told me a tooth that has been bothering me was fine n I was just crazy...Got a second opinion. I have 1 small cavity, and that tooth that was bothering me has a giant absess and I need an immediate root canal....Highly disappointed with service, and honestly feel like there ripping people off.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very particular about who works on my teeth, and this is hands down one of the best dental offices Ive went to.

Dr. Sharma is incredible. She does extremely well with making new and nervous patients comfortable, and her work is exquisite. I had 2 teeth extracted(took 2 minutes per tooth to pull), which I went in terrified, because I am scared of dental work as it spooks me, but 4 hours later the numbing agent wore off and I had no pain, and my blood clots have formed perfectly(no dry socket). She gave me advice on how to take care of myself after the operation, which I took very seriously, and things are going great. You can trust Dr. Sharma with all of you and your familys dental needs. Thank you so much once again Aspen Dental!! My appreciation for you is incredible.

Besides the receptionist, the dental hygienist, dental assistant, dentist, office manager never introduced themselves to me. The dentist actually walked into room with full mask on and talked to dental assistant for a few minutes about what I was there for and then came over to adjust chair, she first adjusted wrong way then leaned me back and went to work without saying a word to me. She didnt take mask off and actually talk to me about what she found and some of my options until she was done. Office manager went over options, tried to upsell me on everything. Prices were crazy from what I researched they should be for partial dentures. Finally agreed for her to let her print up quote for just tooth extractions which was reasonable price with my insurance. She tried to get me to sign the form that said Payment arrangements and acceptance but said it didnt obligate me to anything. Worst dental, optometry or doctor appointment I have ever had in my life. Very unprofessional and unfriendly.

Some of the staff is excellent. With that being said the problems is that I went in with a toothache and some other dental work to be done. They itemized each visit that was going to be needed and the correlating out of pocket that it was going to cost, long story short I left my last appt.with a 26 dollar credit to my account now two months later I get a bill for $700. Laughable. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to take care of you.

I will not go back to an Aspen Dental ever again. If you choose to do so I WOULD NOT let Dr. Nivedita Shaene work on your teeth!!! Ive used several of their locations because of flexibility of scheduling but no more after the last experience. She had to numb a tooth that she was trying to repair a cavity on 3 times (with several different shots each time), the 3rd time I could feel the needle hit and scrape around on my jaw bone. Basically gave up after drilling for several minutes several different times and told her assistant (NOT ME) that she couldn’t fix it and it would need to be pulled and puts a temporary filling in it. Leaves the room and comes back with a prescription for antibiotics and Tylenol 3 and walks off. Doesn’t say anything about how or when or why I should take either of the drugs or even which tooth it is that she’s wanting to pull and why she couldn’t fix it. I get to the pay-out counter and had to ask the secretary which tooth they are wanting to pull and why it couldnt be fixed and what were my instructions and reason for the antibiotics were. That night and the next day I had some of the worst dental pain I’ve ever had even WITH taking IBP AND T3. When the numbing subsided I quickly realized it mostly wasn’t even from the actual tooth itself but from all the stabbing, poking, and gouging with the needle that she’d done trying to GET the tooth numb. Furthermore, when the numbing wore off I realized that my bite was severely off in the back of my mouth where the fillings (both the temporary AND the permanent) she had just put in were because they were left extremely high so they hit before any other tooth in my mouth did. (I couldn’t feel this in the chair because my entire face was so numb by the time she’d finished murdering my gums with Litocane).I decided to get a second opinion before letting them pull it and found a different dentist that owned his own private practice and got in to see him a few days later. He numbed it twice (with just a couple shots each time) and I couldn’t feel ANYTHING while he began drilling out the temporary filling. He determined that luckily she had not drilled into the pulp of the tooth. He cleaned the cavity out and put a pulp cap in and then filled the tooth and was done. Later after the numbing wore off there was no pain at all without taking any drugs and my bite was perfect.That Doctor Nivedita Shaene was going to pull a tooth that didn’t need to be pulled. It was a hard lesson learned but I will let all my teeth ROT before I go back to Aspen dental ever again. That was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had in 34 years. I’m absolutely appalled that not only did they let that woman graduate dental school but that Aspen continues to let her work for them!Dr. Joseph at the Aspen Dental/Mills Civic location in West Des Moines is very good. Ive used him in the past but Ill never go back to another Aspen again after this experience just because I know they let people like this last doctor work for them. If you live on the west side of town, Dr. Ames Cross at Stuart Family Dental in Stuart IA is one of the best if not THE BEST dentist Ive ever been to.

They got me in on a Saturday checked me out had me back Monday and fixed everything great.
