Reservation system is very hard and i was at the pool and their precautions for covid are great here BUT there was an older woman in the pool just blowing her nose into her hand and flushing it in the water... Ive never been more grossed out. maybe putting some common etiquette to the site might help because YUCK.

Clean, modern, big, plenty of equipment for everyone except during the busiest hours. But even then the wait is rather short. Great classes. They seem to be taking COVID precautions seriously and I feel safe using the facility. I wish there were more open family swims times though as they seem to be in rather high demand...

Hands down the Best gym in the area. The price was so inexpensive and the place in practically brand new. The gym is always so clean and especially during the crazy times with covid running rampant, this place has all the precautions in place in order to prevent it. From temperature checks- to having people make reservations online ahead of time in order to make use of the upstairs weight room.

Newly expanded and AWESOME for whole family. Kid programs, multiple pools ( family and lap pools). Rehab / Senior workout facility in basement ( drive up to the door). Huge selection of cardio machines ( many hooked up to cable TV - bring your ear buds). Yoga. Saunas. Kids pool / play area. Life guards. Free weights. Machines of all types. Smoothie bar. Kind staff (Linda at front desk is a favorite) and Bryan is a popular P.T. and Exercise Physiology expert from MM College.

Absolutely amazing. This Y is huge. Everything you want in a gym and community center. It is worth the price. There is a wide assortment of fitness equipment for all ages and uses. The gymnasiums, pools and classes bring this Y into the upscale gym range. The dry sauna, steam sauna and the hot tub really help to round out the amenities of this Y. I highly suggest becoming a member.

I am giving this gym a 3 star because I don’t think it is worth the price for what you get. It seems like a large gym but when you practically use the equipment you quickly realize that it is not well laid out. There is not enough treadmills and the equipment seems squeezed together. There is so much space wasted on a huge staircase through the middle of the gym. The classes are great though and they have good instructors. The locker rooms could use an upgrade- the showers aren’t great and the towels run out fast.

I love this Y. It is, by far the best in the area. There are 3 pools, so there is always some form of swimming available. There is also a water play area for young children. Other features of the facility include a least a dozen treadmills, recumbent and upright bikes, ellipticals, and 2 coveted Concept rowers. There is a full range of resistance machines and a separate upstairs area for free weights. This branch is well worth the somewhat hefty cost of membership.

Since the facility upgrade, this YMCA is fantastic. Feels more like an Equinox than a local YMCA. Every machine has its own TV and the pool has a sauna and a hot tub. The classes are great too, with big and new studios. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because my Dad had an incident where someone broke into his locker, which was locked and stole his gym bag.

I think the renovation of the facility is absolutely great with one exception & this is why I DID NOT give 5β˜† rating. What were people thinking--there is one small set of bleachers in that beautiful gym. I believe the gym was not part of the remodel plan BUT who is going to stand all that time. There is adequate room for more bleachers. The score board should be dropped 6 inches. It can not be properly viewed.

Nice clean gym with lots to offer but WAY to overcrowded. If youre simply looking to work out and take a few classes there are lower priced gyms with equal amenities in North Andover. Something else to keep in mind, an individual membership wont get you class discounts for your children. Im not willing to pay a family membership for my 3 & 1 year old in order to get the discount on swim lessons . The Y should rethink this policy.

Ymca Policy are in favor of Y. No make up for swimming class and recurring payment is a big rip off. For me, even though I put my membership on hold, they keep charging my account on file. When I asked them to remove my credit card info from the file. They refused to remove it. Even if I went to the facility personally. Recurring payment is a BIG rip off. Staff has zero consideration for Customer. They refuse to help anything related to account or fee. VERY DISAPPOINTED. JUST CANCELLED my ACcount. I was with Y for more then 7 years. Before Y used to respect customer. Listen to them and respond to them. New staff is money oriented.. All their policy are in favor of Y and no consideration for customer time or money.

I usually have a good experience when I go to this YMCA, but people have always told me they have bad experiences and thats why they dont go here. Yesterday 2/25/19 at 5PM I went with my 6 month old baby for swiming lessons and the front desk guy was really unhelpful he lied about us making an appointment with the wrong YMCA. I had the confirmation code and when I called the YMCA customer service the lady refunded me the money and told me I was registered with the Andover MA YMCA wich was this one and she didnt know why they would tell me I wasnt registered when I was showing them the confirmation and no were in there it says Kansas. I was there for about 15 minutes in the front desk. Never BRINGING MY KIDS HERE AGAIN IGNORANT AND RUDE STAFF.

One of the better YMCAs in the Merrimack Valley. Has lots of high-tec equipment, was recently remodeled, and a snack bar. An added bonus is that the snack bar is healthy food. This is a very nice, recently renovated YMCA.They offer a lot of lessons and programs. I havent tried any of them. The weight and cardio rooms were redone a couple of years ago, so the equipment is still in great shape. They have Expresso bikes, stair climbers, ellipticals, and treadmills facing towards large picture windows. They also have a large selection of free weights and cross-fit equipment. They have four pools, all of which are indoors. These include a lap pool, a very warm teaching pool, a family pool with splash pad and a smaller lap pool attached to the family pool. In the winter the lap pool can get very busy, especially when Merrimack College teams are using half of it for their training. The locker rooms are nice, though the family locker room seems to get dirty very early in the day. For some reason, the family locker room collects a lot of standing water, which can be gross. No issues in the adult rooms. If you only have a few items, like a wallet and keys, there are lock boxes in the hallway that you can use. They have a towel service, which is convenient. Even at peak times there are always towels available. There is a cafe that sells drinks and snacks. The staff is always very friendly and energetic. They are happy to help with any requests.

Supposed to be a negative 1mil.I rate it this because they have NO RESPECT FOR KIDS.In riding bikes,to splashing in the pool, they always put THE ADULTS IN FIRST.IT IS LIKE RACISIM.JUST BECAUSE THEIR ADULTS,THEY GET A SAY BUT KIDS DONT .FOR EXAMPLE,I went to the running and and the Person working said that I went on the running thing too long, but I only got to go on for a few minutes and the person working at the front said that I have to get off because of it.Sound like ROSA PARKS MUCH?AND at the swimming,I was just playing with someone else, and the adult gets a say in it but we don’t.Doesn’t that sound like British Parliament saying rules when COLONISTS HAD NO SAY IN IT EITHER.That is why I rate it negative 1MILLION.They should let the kids have a say in things too.

Trying to work out there is somtimes impossible and it ruins the vibe and motivation when you have to wait 20 minutes for a bench becuase 3 people have after each other. When you get lucky and get a station youl beinterrupted 4 times with the question how many sets you got left bro? Im thinking about changing gyms just do to the volume of members.
