My dog had an emergency this week. We went ALL OVER trying to get her help. I called VCA Pine Ridge, even though wed never been there. The AMAZING customer service started with that first phone call - she was incredibly empathetic to our situation, and was very calming and understanding. While she couldnt help us immediately, she focused on what she COULD do. She got us in early the next morning, which was perfectly fine with us. The visit itself was awesome - Dr Mitten was wonderful, very thorough and caring. She was understanding of cost concerns and helped balance that with finding the answers we needed for our situation. Everyone there was wonderful and clearly care about what they do. We have found our new vet clinic!!

I recently moved to the area and used to use a different VCA, so I transferred to this one. My first visit to VCA was great. I got my dogs in at a decent time. Now, I dont know if theyre understaffed or taking too many new patients. But my dog is limping. I call at 8:22 on a Thursday morning, 22 minutes after they open, and they tell me that I cant get her in until Monday because theyve already squeezed in 4 emergency appointments. In 22 minutes? On top of that, theres not a regular appointment open for 2 weeks. When I went to the other VCA, I could regularly get my dogs in earlier than that. Bad management!

Thank you so much Theresa for getting us an appointment for our beloved Otis. My wife and I have been taking all our pets to PineRidge for over thirty years and our experience has always been very good. Thank you to Dr. Bear, Hartmann,Mitten, Roe, and all the technicians for your care over the years.

Our dog has a lot of anxiety about many things and getting her nails cut is one of them. Even though she is kind of a pain to deal with they are all so nice to her and to me. We have been taking our dogs here for about 5 years and have been very happy with them.

I took my puppy here for his first appointment. I paid for his visit and the office charged my credit card unauthorized service. I will not be returning and file a complaint for the unauthorized service charges. Very disappointed, I heard such great reviews.

Been going here for at least 15 years. My association started with the vets in this clinic when I began Greyhound Pets Of America - Minnesota...a chapter of racing greyhound rescue. After a terrible relationship with a vet who also raised and raced greyhounds, bad vet, I was relieved to find people like Dr. Hartman and Dr Bear to help us out, first with the group, (way back when) but then I began trusting ALL of my cats and hounds to them. We have been through thick and thin with them over the years, 20 greyhounds and several cats later, we are still asking for Dr. Bear or Dr. Hartman as our first choice. The staff is usually spectacular and because we often brought in 9 greyhounds in...broken in a couple of appointments so we wouldnt have to bring them all at once, we would sometimes monopolize an entire Saturday morning for said vet. They have been kind and caring even in the face of the worst issues. Now we are down to one greyhound and two kitties and still SO many years later and after experiencing SO many vets in this area....we stick with them. Some of their staff have fallen in love with the retired racers and began being foster homes for our group. Their place is clean and has facilities for care that other clinics dont have. I think when you want the best for your pets, you have to stick with those you have the best experiences with. Thanks to Dr. Hartman and Dr Bear for all their years of help, and to the staff at Pine Ridge!

They texted me to tell me that my dog tested positive for something that transmits to humans. I called immediately to get additional information but the vet was busy. Hours later I got a call back from a tech who was unhelpful to say the least. When I asked her about it spreading to humans and what I need to do, her response was “I don’t know wash your hand I guess. I mean don’t people normally wash their hands before they eat”. She said they would give me additional information when I picked up the medication and when I got there they gave me a print out from the Internet that talked about the disease in general and not specifically what type my pet had. They never discussed my pets individual results with me, follow-up, etc.

I took my cat to PineRidge Animal Hospital to get a second opinion. She wasnt doing great. Come to find out she was having a allergic reaction to medication that another vet clinic had given her, I called the other vet clinic and they just didnt really care. They told me to keep giving my cat the medication, But I wasnt going to do that, so I made an appointment right away with Dr. Hartman at PineRidge Animal Hospital. He is the best Vet that I have ever taken my animals to. He was kind, caring and compassionate! Thank you Dr. Hartman, you put me at ease, and took care of my cat. Dr. Hartman did blood work and changed my cats medication. My cat is doing much better now. I even got a text today from the clinic to see how my cat was doing, and Dr. Hartman called me today also. My animals will only go to PineRidge Amimal hospital from now on.

My dog needed to go in asap. It was by appointment only. Took the first one they offered and called me back 10 minutes later asking if I wanted to come in earlier because of a cancellation. Easy to find and the decorations are cute. The vet was nice and took care of my dog and gave me many options. Went through the treatment plan with me and printed them off for me. Very clean and overall a quick and nice experience.

I have been going to this clinic since it opened. I have had a couple of vets there but they were/are all good. I do believe there are vets that specialize in dogs and vets that specialize in cats. Dr. Bear referred me to Dr. Roe because I have cats. I dont know how the price compares to other vets but I have always been happy with the staff and the service I received.

We got a free appointment for adopting from the Humane Society. It was a quick appointment, but they treated us like rockstars. We left with stickers for my daughter, care for our pet, and a fun experience. Its a cool facility, dedicated cat area, nice staff, plus its a grooming place too!

VERY EXPENSIVE! $100+ for a 5-10 minute visit with a vet. That was just for the visit, the medications came to $95 which was also very high. We are established clients. We took our dog in as he had developed a cough. I walked in WITHOUT my dog and explained the situation. No one let me know that I would be charged for an emergency visit as I did not have an appointment. I certainly would have made one if I had known they were going to gouge us for the walk in. It was not an emergency! We were the only clients in the waiting area. I do not need a vet that has fancy furniture and an aquarium in the waiting room, just one that takes care of my pet and doesnt take advantage of me. The staff was friendly and the service adequate.

I transferred my dog to this clinic last winter due to what I thought were high prices at his first and only other clinic where they had changed hands after the original owner retired.VCA told me the first office visit was complimentary which was a nice surprise. Well, little did I know that Id be paying for it down the road. They did do more troubleshooting about possible allergies causing the ear issue, but the tech came in acting like he had to have a culture done for a recheck. I informed her that I wanted the doc to look at him first before it was processed, to which she was snotty about that it would incur charges if they did. (As if I didnt already know that). I am on a fixed income and dont need random and needless extras. So the doc came in, ears looked good, so no lab necessary, and the tech had already forgot that he was to get the Bordatella in his nose, after I scheduled when the appt. was made, and she already knew as I had remarked about it again. But I was blindsided by my bill which was quite high for a recheck, and the only reason I brought him in was to get the coughing vaccine. So I paid almost $90 for about 15-20 minute visit, and they offer no Sr. discount. That wouldnt be so bad, but I just paid $150. for the exam and (medicine was for half if it) in a really small bottle. (He had just had his regular check up 2 months prior for other separate charges). I dont think I can afford to come here anymore.

I adopted my cat from the humane society. She was extremely malnourished and rough looking. When i called to make an appointment they didn’t tell me to bring in any samples of poop or anything. When I brought her in they didn’t seem concerned about her wieght at all. I’m young and this is my first cat which I explained so I was hoping for more input. A month later she was throwing up roundworms and peeing blood. I had issues with her peeing outside the litter box too. I went to a different animal hospital to take care of everything. Now, a year later, I came back here to get her yearly shots because it’s close and they sent a reminder email. I hated how dirty everything was. They have cat towers with other cat hair all over them. I just think it’s unsanitary. The doctors were nice and showed me how to clip her nails. But I am currently looking to bring her in somewhere else because she just puked up worms again.

Although not my regular veterinarian, I have used Pine Ridge as a backup ever since they opened. Had I not already had an established relationship with my current vet I would not hesitate to use Pine Ridge as my primary doggie doc. They are very responsible, the center is immaculate and the staff are all top notch.

My Miniature Schnauzer has a very complex diabetes issue, and my Vet, Dr. Rebecca Stever, has been taking excellent care of him for the past couple of years. She is very smart, and she is wise enough, and not at all arrogant to know that there are times when she needed to consult with other professionals located at other facilities. She does whatever is necessary to get the best medical advice possible for my best buddy. I thank her, and all the staff at PineRidge. They are all very professional, knowledgeable and caring people.

Although Pine Ridge has and continues to be a pricier clinic, I have always trusted them with the care of my dogs.....Goldendoodle Ellie age 12 died in 2016 and my new puppy, a goldendoode, Looni 1 year 4 months. Took him in for an itchy tummy July 3 2018. Dr. Ihnen was AWFUL. My puppy is skittish with people he doesnt know and I told that to the assistant who was fabulous. She took time to get to know him, gave him treats and took his temperature. Dr. Ihnen took no time to win the little guy over, muzzled him for his examination and told me his behavior will most likely get worse and to get some extra training provided at the clinic. She also criticized breeders for not carefully screening dogs for allergies, temperament, etc. Looni is great with his groomers and was always picked by the trainer at obedience class to model behavior and learning. He is skittish but with a little patience and understanding the visit would have ended better for him, for me and for the 2 assistants who had to hold him down by the Doctors orders. Also, I think the Dr Ihnen could have found, at the very least, 1 positive thing to say about my dog. Never again....I will take him to someone who has the patience and love for animals to provide care for my dog and future dogs.Sharon Hettrick
