Their auto renewal is made to rob people of their money if they want to cancel their memberships after a year. Their use of a third party financing is an on going battle of one saying only the other can help. There are better gyms around that are easier to finance.

Great price, offers Anmed Health discount (you need your badge, ID, and employee number the first time). Great equipment, good amenities during business hours. You can badge in during off hours to utilize the gym. Staff is knowledgeable and has been the better experience in this location than other locations. Has options for sign up with contract or without contract. Definitely recommend it 👌

The female workers are rude and do not have good communication skill with the clients. Do not recommend working out between the hours of 7:30-8 while they are working.

Great no contract option. Great equipment. Decent variety of music. They play both metal and pop. I dont like the mix of plates, I wish they were all the same size/thickness.. But thats only a minor issue. Personally, I like this gym better than Golds. So far the best gym Ive been to.

Awesome gym. Everyone is friendly and social distancing is easy and the sanitation is constant but not bothersome. Highly recommend switching or joining if your looking for a serious gym to workout in.

I havent tried to cancel my membership so I cannot speak to that. Overall the gym is very clean and has an excellent variety of equipment.

1 year later.... still no AC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The AC is either never working, or they never turn it on.Every time I have been, there is always someone there cleaning!The equipment is old and run down. They serve their purpose, nonetheless.

As many have said the cancellation process is ridiculous. Wish we would have read the reviews prior. We are still not canceled and have gotten the run around from the finance company. Like others have said canceling with Plant was easy and straight forward. This is an attempt to hold customers hostage after they have already fulfilled their obligations. STAY AWAY!! Just another tid bit....they refuse to use the air in the summer so working out was too miserable.

I highly recommend the Zumba toning class on Monday and Thursday evenings. I dont like the way they do memberships where they take your credit card information upfront then pressure you into giving them your bank account information. If you read the fine print it is also very difficult to cancel your membership. You have to write a certified letter and go through a whole process. It doesnt need to be that difficult, it is clearly a way for the gym to make extra money (although admittedly this is common practice with gym memberships, I still find it to be dishonest).

If you join here understand youre still signing a 12 month installment agreement. You cant cancel and if you try you have to pay 59.99 plus the next month. It is also through a third party. Be aware of what you are signing. The girl at the desk told me I could cancel at anytime, but failed to mention I was also signing an installment agreement. This is suppose to be a no contract gym. Im livid!

I have been a member now for a week now but before that I was coming as a guest with my aunt. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The guest themselves are very nice and respectful too. They are family oriented, which is great when you have 4 kids. I highly recommend 10star if anyone is looking for a gym family.

HORRIBLE customer service! I called months ago to cancel (I haven’t been in Close to a year) and was told that the membership would not renew. Just realized 5 months later that it had been renewed and that it couldn’t be cancelled at the location. The girl I spoke to at the front desk was terribly rude and Offered no apology. All she did was give me an email address to send my request and lots of attitude. There are many great gyms in the area, this is not one of them.

I actually enjoyed my time with 10 Star but I moved over 50 miles away and had the WORST experience closing my account. It took over 3 hours, I had to speak with 5 different employees and I was pressured and bullied the entire time. 10 Star outsources their billing to ABC financial and it is clear that they are in cahoots to pressure customers and attempt to make the hassle too great that customers opt into paying a buyout fee or continuing service. This reflects poorly on 10 Star and shows that they do not care about their customers when they leave because it is advantageous for 10 Star to get extra payouts and ruin relationships. I will no longer recommend this gym and did not appreciate being bullied.Examples (to name a few)1. They would not accept my mortgage documents that I provided showing I purchased a new home2. It took speaking to 3 individuals and a manager before they would accept closing documents on my house signed by all parties and legal representation3. I was told that lawyers don’t complete closing documents and this is only done by banks...hmmmm4. They wanted me to send in THE TITLE TO MY HOME... ummmm NO5. When you send in a document for review, the employees are unable to review the document on hand and tell you that you have to wait days for it to be processed. This led to me paying membership fee for an additional month due to their timeliness.6. 10 Star doesn’t take care of their customers and hired an outside source to bully and do their dirty work

10 Star Fitness is awesome! I have purchased 2 paid in full years at this location because of the cleanliness, friendly staff and positive atmosphere. They have the best trainers- the Anderson Ultrafit team. Vernon and Antwan are amazing trainers as well as the other Ultrafit trainers. 10 Star Fitness is a family oriented gym with a very clean childrens facility. I gladly chose 10 Star Fitness over any gym in Anderson! I can walk through the front door and be greeted by name before I scan in. I love 10 Star Fitness!! Thanks guys for being the best!

I guess 10 Star Fitness is fine... as long as you stay a member...The membership cancelation process is equally painful as losing a limb. You must call and call and call some financial company that isnt even 10 Star Fitness (apparently they own it) and finally get on the phone with someone and talk for 20 minutes...to THEN finally email the company and pay a Buyout Fee of $60 PLUS you have to pay for a full month after you want to cancel.So it costs a total of $81.99 to cancel 10 Star Fitness.Not sure why there isnt a Cancel Membership button in my account. I guess they want to make it as difficult as possible to leave.

I’ve been a member at 10 Star fitness for over 5 years. The staff is very friendly and I always have a great time working out. Powerlifting, body building, or simply going to the gym to lose a few pounds this is the gym for you.

Been here about a month now and I absolutely love it. I go 5-6 times a week, the staff is always helpful and friendly. Joining a gym is probably the best decision Ive made in a long time, couldnt recommend Coops enough.

Horrible customer service. Ive had a membership here for years...since it opened as Coops and then became 10 Star. Fitness Gyms are notorious for not appreciating their members but 10 Star is the worst. I will miss my workout friends but have nothing positive to say about 10 Star.

As a former member, I did enjoy the gym when I went and the equipment was satisfactory. The problem I encountered was when I needed to cancel my membership. I was told that I have to go through a third party to do so. Once I contacted the third party, I was told that there was a cancelation fee and I would be charged 30 days’ worth of membership. If this was explained to me when I signed up that would not have been an issue but I signed up under a promotion and told that this was a cancel anytime membership, this was one reason why I went with them in the first place as I knew there was a possibility that I would need to make this change. I feel I was lied to and do not appreciate this what so ever. I was a member also back when it was Coop’s and they lost something when they switched cause there was not any of this mess when it was Coop’s.

NEVER join this gym if you think you might want to cancel. It is crazy what you have to go through to cancel your membership. I having been trying for a year and they are still taking it out of my account😡

If I could give no stars, that would have been most accurate. I rarely visited this gym during my year membership due to unforseen issues with scheduling, car issues, and childcare dilemmas. This could have a been a monthly charity payment and I would have benefited more from it. My biggest issue is with the cancellation process. I cancelled with Planet Fitness in less than 5 minutes before, no questions asked, no hassel. This place, has you call another company to get the details on how to cancel. I was told I needed to send a written cancellation request, so I do. It gets lost in the mail. So I call this week and ask if I can just email, and they say yes. So I send and email today. They responded with I can cancel when I pay 49.99. I feel like this whole thing is a money siphon. I paid my year up and now, after I honor my contract, they want more money. Or they will send me to collections. I will never sign up for this scam again. And believe me when I say, I will let everyone know what a shaddy place this is!

I call him backwards hat long hair guy.Then theres the silly haircut guy who never works out but sits on the equipment and looks at his phone.Mind you I dont have a problem with them, Im just bored right now.Theres the guy who only ever does chest and crop dusted the hell out of me one time. I almost threw up.Theres the smoking hot blonde who I feel like does legs every time Im there and I try my damndest to not look like a creeper.Thats all for now.

Weve been members for close to two years. While it may look small from the outside, its never overly crowded.There are plenty of weights and machines for everyone there. Its clean and the staff is very friendly.

Contract NIGHTMARE!!! The contract is almost impossible to get out of. I havent been to this gym in over a year yet I still pay. If you are looking for a gym that caries a hellish contract that ties you down worse than a housing rental contract and charges a top gym premium membership... this is the gym for you!

They use a third party billing agency and the only way to cancel is to send a certified letter to the billing agency. Even then they will continue to charge you 30 days after they receive the letter if they receive it at all. Not worth the trouble for a below average gym.

14 day trial is a rip! Guy at the front was rude kept pressuring me to get a membership. I wont be coming back to this gym. Joke!

When I wanted to cancel they put a lot of trouble on me first that they dont take care of those problems that you have to communicate with another company, which is the one in charge of financing when you call the other company that you have to do it in writing on paper and by e-mail and When you want a refund, they have to approve it from the other company and they just want to continue withdrawing money from your account and they dont care what you tell them and that they hadnt used the service for more than 6 months.
