Be aware of the consent and disclosure forms youre blindly signing on the digital signature pad. They may not be the ones youre actually signing. I made them print out the forms before signing and the ones they hand you are old, like 13, 8, 6, and 2 years old. An 8 year old privacy statement? And although this hospital has no official religious affiliations, you can expect to be proselytized to by Christians (including the misogynistic Gideons) quietly but repeatedly. If your not of the Christian faith, expect to feel rather uncomfortable. The admission desk literally had scripture in your face during the check-in process on bright yellow paper to get your attention. A Gideons bible, renowned for only allowing men as members, is on the waiting room table displayed and illuminated prominently. The good quality of care and the general staff diligence is overshadowed by antiquated administration systems and an overt religious presence.

Employees were nice. Waiting room got crowded real quick. They didnt have enough beds or staff. There were beds in the hallways too. They could not figure out anything and said to follow-up with provider then scribed pills that contained something on the allergy list. We got that fixed on the phone at CVS while waiting, good. Other problem is everything gets thrown up so what good does a pill do? Meanwhile next day severe stomach pains come and goes, vomiting and dry heaves too.Only have 7 hour driving home like this to look for with less than 100 calories a day for the last few days. (Guess as patients we need to look up things like transdermal patches and such for someone with a probable blockage).

Everyone wonders why people wont get treatment at a hospital for certain things. Well this hospital is a prime example of why. Here it is Easter Sunday and my husband has been here since Friday. Visiting hours are 10 to 6:30 and even though no one else is in line they still wont let me in until 10. I have to stand in the cold because Im not even allowed in the lobby. My husband hasnt slept since he has been here and he keeps telling them that the only he will is if Im here. He is hard of hearing and panics if he does fall asleep for 10 minutes. But this hospital doesnt seem to care about anything but following the rules. He is not in icu. Patients need their families!

Clear signs of a stroke of some sort and yet here we sit in a damn waiting room for 3 hours. To make matters worse we finally get placed in a holding area and the sheets were stained. Their only excuse is its only one doctor seeing everyone tonight. Why would you only have 1 doctor in a HOSPITAL ? 3rd shift or not , they need to become a little better staffed. They dont really check in on you. Then you have a roommate and theyll check on one and walk out and come back 30 minutes later to check on the other. Please be careful to get explicit co-pay information from AnMed Health. Ive had two bad experiences. One time I went in for blood labs and was told my medicare co-pay was $15, just like other labs where I checked. Then I got two other bills for over $200, I should not have paid it without complaining, but I did (my bad). Then I was asked to take a nerve test to confirm neuropathy in my feet. I was asked to sign a statement that my copay could be $1200. The secretary said the test was only $750 total, so not to worry. She could not explain or find someone who could why the co-pay could be so high. She also could not reduce the $1200 or find any one who could. Since I would not sign the statement that I might be responsible for $1200 copay they canceled the test. My nurse practitioner at Anderson Neurological Associates was upset with me because the test was cancelled. She did not seem to care that Id had a problem with the hosp about co-pays or try to resolve the problem, Isnt it reasonable to want clear information about possible charges up to $1200.I was called on the phone by AnMed to give a review. I politely explained what happened. I did not receive a call back or any other response.I plan to avoid AnMed Health in the future.

Then I APOLOGIZED sincerely to both the nurse and doc for being impatient and rude. And all I got back was a well that doesnt matter other people dont want to hear you. Quite frankly, I wouldnt be complaining if it didnt take you 6 hours for a cat scan. My mother worked the medical field for 22 years in the army and not once have I ever had this bad of an experience in a hospital. Also, not the first ER visit. I have had several procedures done at AnMed in recent years. In every case, the care has been excellent. Those were pre-scheduled procedures. Also, I had a visit to the AnMed ER about 7 years ago, on the day of the Clemson-Carolina football game. I fell from a ladder and was taken by ambulance to the emergency department. They got me stabilized & in a leg brace quickly. I was back home only two hours after the accident! Amazing but true. Regarding negative comments about the ER, my guess is that they come from people who use the ER in place of a family doctor.

So this hospital is a nice facility, and the patient care there was fine. It seems that the previous people were griping not about the wait to get into the ER, but the fact that it took several hours for them to be cared for and discharged. Im not sure what they were there for or were expecting to happen in an emergency department but it sounds like their problems werent serious and they went home the same day. None of them provided details. Ive never had a bad experience there nor have I ever known anyone else to. The people there are super caring and attentive, not rude and entitled like in South Florida where I used to live. This hospital is a joke!! My sister went here after being viciously attacked by a dog. Her finger was hanging on by only strings and she was bleeding profusely from both her leg and hand. She waited for nearly 3 hours in the waiting room, bleeding all over the place, in horrible pain and worried they wouldnt get her finger reattached in time. When they finally moved her to a room, she then sat without seeing anyone for another 2 hours! At this point she has spent 5 hours bleeding profusely, finger hanging off, and in excruciating!! When they finally got someone in the room to get her patched up, they reset her finger, and stitched her up. For whatever reason the doctor who patched her up only felt the need to clean the wounds he was stitching shut, and didnt even look at any of the other wounds. After stitching her up and pretty much nothing else they sent her home. She woke up this morning to her finger looking horrible and infected, as the doctor barely cleaned the wound on her finger. She is now going to the hospital in Greenville to avoid this catastrophe of a hospital. This place should be shut down and if there are any further complications of their poor actions, they better be prepared for legal actions as well. If you can, avoid this hospital at all costs!! Will drive to Greenville in the future!

Getting bills for unknown services. Account number and SS number do not match. Cannot get anyone on the phone. Another time, I went to ER with my 4 year old daughter who was having symptoms of appendicitis, could not get seen for 6 hours. People in waiting room were waiting with chest pains. This place is a mess!

I wouldnt even give it a rating of 1 star. Waited 3 hours to get seen because of an precedure I had a week ago on a removal of an engrown toe nail & a nerve was hit. Its swollen, purple and blue and hurts to the touch when I FINALLY got seen he pulled what I had it wrapped up in off an didnt even look at it and prescribed me an antibiotic and with it being INFECTED let me walk out without wrapping it back up & told me go back to the doctor who messed it up to begin with.. its a wonder this place hasnt been closed down yet.. would rather be in pain and suffer than visit here again.

Took my Dad for his arm being cut open. Dr never washed it or used gloves to touch it. Told nurse would wrap and we were sent home. That was on a Wednesday night and Friday his arm smelled terrible. Went to a skin specialist and Tuesday of the next week he had to have skin draft. Need to care abt patients!!!!!

If I could give a zero star I would. The only helpful person there was the nurse I had when i finally went to a room. I went in with a severe allergic reaction that causes my tounge and throat to swell. As soon as we get there I have difficulty explaining what is wrong because I cant speak correctly so my boyfriend was teling them in having a reaction to seafood which the triage nurse decided to tell me that I am basically faking it because there was no visible sign of a rash on my body except my tounge. Then she had the audacity to ask me what I was on because I was going crazy then set me in the waitin room while out of it in a wheelchair while completely out of it. At that point saliva was pouring out my mouth as we try to catch it all with towels ( which took about for) because i cant swollow much less breath. So when i get to my room the other nurse saw me and knew exactly what was going on. I am allergic to benedryll also so it took two shots and a small pill being shoved down my throat to bring me back to normal. People if you do not have the heart and or knowledge please do not pursue a position in Healthcare. There is a lot of crocked ones there that need to be reevaluated. I for one have worked in Healthcare and wouldnt dare put someone in that situation. Rant over.

I was in Anmed Hospital for a total of 6 days. I was in CCICU for 2 days and then in the cardiac unit for 4 days. I had some of the MOST amazing Nurses in both CCICU as well as in my room. They showed so much love, compassion, and care for me and really took care of me. I had some really awesome DRs as well. I made myself friendly and showed a great deal of respect to both my Drs and my nurses and in they in turn, were super friendly and respectful to me. They all made sure I understood exactly what they were telling me about my condition and my progress. This is a great hospital with excellent staff members. Im so glad that they were a part of my recovery!!!

My last visit to the ER I presented a complete list of my medications as well as my allergies along with a current lab report. I was admitted and the mistakes started... A young I assume Nurse entered my room and was searching the room computer and was about to inject insulin...This was hours after my scheduled time for evening medications I did not receive. I ask about the insulin and she provided an old insulin I no longer used. I explained I did not use that insulin and my current list of meds were in my file. She began to argue with me as she said the information in her computer was correct....I explained to her I was well ware of the meds I take and the reason I take them.. I refused to allow her to inject me with the insulin she had brought in...Another Nurse, I assume the head Nurse came to my room and I was explaining to her about the mistakes and I was aware of mistakes made by ANMED employees. She then looked at me in a very stern voice said Why the hell did you even bother to come here At that point I said to myself These people could kill me and I would not be able to do anything to stop them. I decided it was time for me to leave. Before I could get my clothes on and leave they had security to come and escort me out.....I will; never subject myself to this facility again.....

When you walk into to any company the first people to greet you are the face of that company. I brought my son into the ER Labor Day weekend. The 2 women at the check in desk were rude. We were sent down to fast track where the woman there was also rude!! Thankfully once we got into a room the nurse and Doctor were great. We were transported to GHS by ambulance and once I spoke with the pediatrician we shouldve never been transported by ambulance considering my son had a head injury. So glad we were sent to GHS to get the exceptional care he needed and EVERYONE was very nice and caring!! Thats something you dont get at anmed hospital!

My mother worked at ANMED from 1962 til she retired. I worked there in 1963-1964 as a ward secretary. This is not the same hospital that it was. I would not take a dog to this hospital. Ive lost three of the closest family members I have in this hospital. I could have filed lawsuits on two of the deaths. As I look back on the timeline and remember what took place, it seems as though the hospitalists were trying to kill rather than treat. However, they used the bodies as long as possible to collect insurance money. I forgive them and release them to God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Judge. If I didnt speak the truth now, I would be held accountable. I just spoke to a friend who just lost her daughter there who received the same treatment. St. Francis Hospital in Greenville is a much better place if someone must go to a hospital.
