The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because I have been using this pantry for awhile. And most of the time theyre so nice however this week when I was in desperate need of food for my 4 children and showed up 5 minutes after they locked their doors 3:05 but on the sheet says 3:30 I was turned away I told the director my situation and she told me unfortunately theres nothing she could do. I dont think that was the right thing to do especially with having to drive from out of town to get the food I wasnt even able to receive. I will continue to pray. May god bless the staff..

Operation Love Ministry is such a wonderful organization. They are wonderful at trying to reach as many people as possible in Madison County to help with needs that the community has. The assistance the organization gives with their food pantry, helping the community with clothing needs, and the prescription assistance program are greatly appreciated. I am a volunteer at Operation Love and the staff and other volunteers are awesome to work with. The staff and other volunteers are caring people who hope to help and make a positive difference in the Madison County community. I look forward each week when I get the opportunity to volunteer and help the community.

As a pest control owner operator, I have worked with Operation Love Ministries, for about 4 years. Andrea and her staff care deeply about helping the good people in Anderson, and it shows. A truly wonderful place. David Knight, President, Knight Pest Control

I have been donating for a very long time. I save my items for them, even though there is a Goodwill very close to me. Last month, they didnt show. This month, they called again, so I set stuff out Friday night for Saturday pickup. NO ONE showed up. I have an uncovered porch and when it started to storm, I went out and struggled to get plastic bags over everything. Waited all day. Left voicemails 3 times, and sent a detailed email. Still no response. Today, 3 days after pickup, I drug things back in the house. PLEASE NOTE: I am 71 years old and on a cane.

Very caring and helpful. The food pantry always is well stocked and volunteers are very pleasant. They offer many helpful services over and above the food pantry as well.

Compassionate and helpful staff. The food, clothing, and household pantries are great resources. The back to school and Christmas programs are also well done and as specific to each child and family as possible.

Had bags of clothes and crafting supplies out and waiting for them and they never showed. A month later asking for clothes. I told them I had stuff for them and they didnt show. I asked them to put my number on the do not call list. Now they call everyday playing music and hanging up! It is driving my mom and I nuts! Its harassment and retaliation! Ive reported them to the fcc!

I have been giving donations to Love Ministries for the past few years. I am now skeptical about them bc their tax receipts, IF they leave one, do not list an address. On 2/20/18 I left a whole front porch full of nice household and baby items, toys, books, side tables, etc. tagged with a sign that said Love. When I arrived home I saw several items were not taken...a nice wooden desk chair in good condition, a decent floor lamp, a wood/wicker trash basket filled with misc items in it, a clay quiche dish and 4-5 glass mixing bowls with lids. ??? What kind of charity discriminates against the items being donated? There was no tax receipt, even though I left a note reminding them to leave one. Now I have to track them down to get a receipt for the hundreds of dollars worth of goods I donated. No one answers the phone numbers of the volunteers who called to ask for the donation. After further investigation, I think this may be a scam from a group called NSpire out of Atlanta, using the name Operation Love Ministries, to STEAL from unsuspecting people just trying to help others. Beware of any solicitations from this place.

This is the SECOND time I have been contacted by Operation Love and asked for donations. The frist time, my husband and I put our items out early that pick up morning.........and no one came. We drug them back in that night ..........I called, complained and spoke to several people in leadership and was told they were sorry, it was an oversight....ect...etc..... I have been contacted over a dozen times since then, and always said NO because I was just unsure.Wel......this past Friday, Operation Love promised to come. I even received an email reminding me to put the donations out, what time, and other details. We got up at 6:30 am......bagged and boxed items.......took everything outside, tagged it was required with labels saying LOVE.... and all was out by 7:15 am. Of course............and Im sorry to say.........the stuff is STILL HERE. No one came.....once again, Im beyond amazed and disappointed. There is a severe disconnect between departments within this ministry. Get it together Operation Love........Im losing the love for this group.

I can never adequately express my humble thanks to this agency for times they have assisted me and my family, without disdain, or judgement for the financial difficulties weve battled. God bless you OLM, and I pray sincerely that others in an even more privileged status than your organization, will be able to give abundantly to your cause of helping the needy and distressed.
