No one was at the front when I was trying to sign up for a membership, people going to the gym also told me the worker hasn’t been in the front for a long time, hire better people

The facilities were clean and the staff were very helpful. The machines are modern and well-kept. And theres a wide variety of cable machines and free weights. I was very impressed with the Facility.

Poor customer service and they do not care about cleanliness. Don’t waste your money here. The employees will be rude, the facility won’t be clean and they’ll keep messing up the charges on your card every month even after you talk to them about it.

I just joined and I really like the feel of the gym and the staff are excellent. I am not very comfortable in a gym setting normally. Very friendly and helpful. I look forward to spending a lot of time here and becoming a healthier me.

I signed up for a membership for me and my wife a while ago.They had told me it was 9.99 per person a month with NO YEARLY ANNUAL FEES and the monthly membership fees would never change.I was very specific on the fees and yearly fees and they were specific on the membership and it ONLY WAS 9.99 A MONTH. I even paid my monthly fee while they were closed down for the virus. So I had credit for training or merchandise . I checked my bank account the other day and GUESS what, I was charged an annual fee of 39.99 per person for the year. On top of that they tried to raise our monthly membership fee an extra $8 a month because of COVID19!So long story short, everything i was told at the beginning of the membership was a lie and now they are doing and charging whatever they want. They wont refund the annual fees .So in the long run I should HAVE NOT been charged for the annual fee and I should have credit for paying my bills while they were closed down . They said they cant refund money but they wont charge me for the next 4 months. Its BS. Because I want to cancel my membership now , they said if I cancel now my membership will still be good for 4 months. WHAT GOOD DOES THAT DO ME? HAHA . FREAKING DUMB. I have a membership at Planet Fitness too and have never had any problem with them . I guess its a lesson learned on my part !

Great facilities! Very clean. Helpful staff.

The quality of the facility is 4.5 stars. Very nice and good equipment variety. However the professionalism of the staff and maintenance to the facility is subpar. Things stay broken for a long period of time. The bathroom needs to be cleaned more regularly; soap dispensers and towels are always empty or missing. It is imperative that staff stays busy in this kind of environment, refilling things that are empty and staying alert for people entering and exiting the building and offering help and support.

Good gym over all. I would give a 4 star, but I dont think they treat their trainers well at all. This leads to high turnover. You might find the perfect trainer for you and then discover they were let go for doing their own training from home or on a web site. They also only pay the trainers something like $11 for a session while you pay a ton to the gym for that session as well as your monthly dues.

They don’t make it clear how the cancellation process goes And show no sympathy when it comes to returning any funds to you For their mistakes just make sure you read all the fine print and ask all the questions before signing anything.

Small gym but is good customer service. Everyone is very friendly. I have excellent trainer, great classes and very clean gym.I never had any issue in this location. I been a member for over 7 years in body renew still enjoying and this location is so so much better customer service than the one in south location.

I love the boot camp classes! The instructors work you hard but it’s always fun. I have dropped my son off at the childcare as well and the morning person is super nice and good with the kids. I do wish there were towels in the locker rooms along with paper towel dispensers.

Our experience started out fine, but then every time I went to use the bikes or elliptical machines, there were only one or two TVs working. Either there was no sound or all the TVs only had one or two stations working. All the the TVs need to have sound and there needs to be a variety of stations. I mentioned this several times, nothing was ever fixed. Today I discovered a billing error.

I love the facility as far as the gym goes because it has things all the things I need. However, when it comes to the women’s room/bathroom area, there’s a lot of things to say. To mention a few, first, the hand soap dispenser only works on one side out of two sinks and it rarely dispenses any. It’s very frustrating waiting an eternity for it to dispense enough soap for one use. Second, the toilet seat covers need to be included in ALL the stalls. Third, the showers are not clean. I’m short, janitorial performance and upkeep need to be heavily improved in the women’s room/bathroom.

Best gym in the state. I went midtown once and realized how good we have it at body renew east.

Been going there for 3 months now and enjoy it. Staff are courteous and helpful. The equipment is still in good shape. The trainers and classes are awesome as well.

Good gym overall but not enough squat racks. Only one for the whole gym and always in use. Worked with chris for training, he was great.

Seems to have problems keeping good staff around, but the gym itself is clean and well maintained. Not a lot of preening weight lifters. A place for me that I feel I can go and not be judged.

Had my brand new Nikes stolen by an employee here.Spoke with management over and over regarding the occurrence to no solution.Then they had nerve to continue trying to charge me.Management did not even as so much offer to give me a month off in compensation, or even offer an apology.They acted like it was my fault. Or that I was not being honest.The part that angered me the most other then the dishonest employee,Was the shoes had been a gift from my aunt who is battling cancer.In these cases, one always can hope karma exists.Take your money elsewhere.Most of the employees were not very kind anyways.I joined planet fitness and Couldnt be happier.

I love this gym (Eastside) and work out there every day. My wish list for additions would include a smith machine, seated calf raise machine, and fixed straight barbell weights. My workout life would be complete and I would stop thinking about changing gyms next February.

Nice small local gym. Not enough free weights, just one weight rack. Plenty of cardio machines upstairs, childcare available during certain times, and a nice sauna and tanning thing if thats what you want.

Went in to cancel my account a few weeks prior to delivery of my baby due to not being able to work out for some time post-delivery. I was told that instead of canceling my account that if I brought in a doctors note about my pregnancy that they would be able to put my account on a hold for up to 12 months. I brought in provider documentation and was told my account would be put on hold for 12 months with no charges to my account. Two to three months post pregnancy I noticed my card was still being charged: I called, they apologized and said that it would be fixed. I have yet to receive a reimbursement and as of today six months later my card is still being charged monthly and I have not received a reimbursement even though every time I speak to a representative my account states that a hold is in place. I would not recommend this place due to the lack of disorganization and inability to follow through with their commitment.

Be careful when you sign up. The sales team will not tell you fully about fees and terms. You will end up paying more than you think. Youre better off going to another gym.

I like the East gym location. All new equipments. Great trainers. I love the spinning class.

I was doing month to month on the Denali plan. I had wanted to go to their $9.99 a month plan but they said there would be a $50 downgrade fee. So I decided to cancel my policy and had paid my first and last month upfront, but now they are saying I owe the annual enhancement fee even though I wont be there anywhere near a year. The customer service is absolutely terrible. Avoid at all costs, theyre a ripoff. They dont care about keeping customers happy.

Id give this gym a 0 rating if it would let me. The gym itself is just ok at best but the personal training is an absolute joke! PLEASE BEWARE before being sold into their BS training program!! The contract is only to the benefit of Body Renew and they are not liable for anything even when it’s their professionally trained and certified staff that causes the injury. DO NOT put you trust and faith in these under trained so called certified trainers.The personal trainer I hired injured both arms within a month of working with her after talking in depth about my concerns when the pain started, and the gym didnt care about any of it. After taking a few weeks off and seeing a doctor I requested to cancel my training, which wasnt an option even for a sports related injury, so I took the only option available which is to freeze for a month. I could have extended that freeze with a doctor’s note but that would have been another dr. visit and fee to be reassessed and seen. Again, you cant cancel a contract as apparently you sale your soul to the devil when you sign up with Body Renew. It took over 6 months to recover from this injury and the gym happily charged me monthly because it’s what the contract says. The policy of Body Renew is to admit no wrong doing but charge the hell out of the customer to make money.Please be careful doing business with this company. Theyre unprofessional and the training they offer is a complete joke. You get what you pay for so if cheap is your goal then expect cheap service.

Ive been going to this gym since Jan never had a problem, the classes are great! How ever today I walked in and immediately the new manager gave me an atittude and was rude to my teenage daughter and my 11 year old. Im very disappointed and angry

This facility is brand new, very tidy, and after a year open, still pretty empty. You will never have to wait for equipment. The staff are friendly, helpful. Its simple. There is nothing that feels special about this gym. Just the basics, and a handful of classes. That might be all you need. This location might need to be avoided if you love Krispy Kreme donuts, since the smell of fried sugar will hit you in the parking lot.

Workers were rude and unhelpful. We didnt get a tour after we got our membership and spent more time figuring out where everything was than we did working out.

The gym is ok. There is only one power rack and no bench or squat rack. it would be nice if there was two power racks, or an additional bench or squat rack. They also dont have bumper plates or mats for dead lifting. Im afraid to go heavy in fear of damaging their equipment. Also it would be nice if one of the tvs was tuned to a sports channel. Nothing keeps you motivated like watching CNN, Fox News, or HGTV.

Great hours, clean, new equipment, no wait for equipment. Hmmm. No pool, nor spa services connected. Class schedule is still building... I.e. 30 spin bikes but no spin classes. Cardio theater is good, but several of the new machines are not connected. Overall a decent club with good value.

Rude staff. A girl named Kiera or Ciara called me about some promotion and I said no thanks and she hung up on me. I now go to another location other than the guy Dontavius(i think is his name) everyone else looks like they hate their jobs. Especially this girl who sits in the daycare. I took my children there ONCE and she didn’t speak when we walked in just looked up then looked back down at her phone. (EAST LOCATION by Begich) I accidentally posted on the wrong location.

I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism with Body Renew. I signed up for personal training in September with the hope of seeing results and having consistency within my training sessions. Instead I received a trainer who was always late and would still end the session on time and who would consistently make comments about being tired/hungover and not wanting to be there. This trainer is no longer with the company and I have still not received a call about switching to a new trainer. I was still charged for this month even though the trainer hasn’t been there since the beginning of December. I have been trying to end my contract and I have been getting the run around from both the managers and costumer service. Body Renew expects for me to just pick up with another trainer and hopes that it doesn’t happen again however one bad apple DOES reflect for the entire gym as I would never recommended Body Renew to anyone. Even with all of this going on, they still expect me to continue paying them regardless of this circumstance. I urge everyone NOT to sign a year contract with them because even in the event that you received poor service that will not be enough to end a contract with them and you will be forced to just deal with it.

Great facility, classes, and staff. Only reason Im giving it a 4 is their training contract is pretty restrictive.

The gym is nice, on the small side, but clean and new. Its the staff that give this place the poor review (there are some good staff though). If I didnt know several people that work out here I never would have joined. When I went to use my 7 day pass to see if I liked it, they didnt even bother to tell me where the locker rooms were, or about anything they offered. I had to ask them about their memberships, and ended up doing the research online since they didnt seem to have the time or interest in selling me on the place. My second visit, as I was talking to the front desk girl, a trainer walked around the desk just to ask me if my shirt was on backwards because usually when the graphics are placed that way its on the back I assured him it wasnt (I bought this shirt from my work, and Im not a moron), he just looked at me like I probably didnt realize it was on backwards, and said hmmmm and said something similar to what he had said before and just walked off. So arrogant, and unnecessary. Since I joined Ive overheard several complaints being made to the front desk about the attitudes of the staff. Its like they ecxpect you to feel grateful to be allowed in the place. They have been open a while now and still dont have wi-fi set up, when management is asked if they know when to expect it, they just smirk and say nope. Luckily a different staff member stepped in and explained the situation a little. If Im paying the same as other members at other locations with wi-fi though, I feel I have the right to it, or a discount on my membership. Bottom line is they need to work on their customer service.*UPDATEIve been going here a while now and it seems a large majority of the people that work out here have no idea about gym etiquette. This location only has one set of each weight increment for the dumbbells and people will pile them up four sets of weights at a time while also using the squat rack, and a second bench. Theyll also drop weights from a standing position while yelling over their headphones to their buddies. Ive never seen a staff member say a word. There have been times Ive cut my workouts short because I got tired of waiting (Id ask to cut in but if they are that inconsiderate theyre not very friendly either). They need more dumbbells and squat racks if they arent going to have rules. Oh, and its been over six months AND THEY STILL DONT OFFER WIFI!

Crappy management.... And staff... Yall need to work on what professionalism is.
