Tried 3 different places in town to get my sons sports physical and was turned away each time due to clinic overload.AMS was equally busy, but welcomed him in immediately. Super friendly staff!! Would happily recommend to friends and family.

Left me waiting for almost 2 hours. I just wanted some antibiotics for a stomach bug and they said you need a covid test and just let me sit and wait. Then they said we tried to call you but you didnt answer. They didnt call me.... And even if they did, they knew exactly where I was and just left me waiting with no plans to help me. This is how you treat sick people?? I will never go here again. They do as little as possible so sad this is our health care.

Took my daughter here to get covid tested, they were quick, efficient and kind. People don’t realize how overwhelmed urgent cares are with the amount of people they’re seeing. When I got there the parking lot was full and still had everything done in a timely manner.

So cant make an appointment. First come. Sat in waiting room for almost an hour while 3 other people got called back before me. Finally get called back only to be told they cant guarantee me that I will be seen anytime soon. After 1.5 hours finally had to leave and will just have to go to anther Urgent Care on my way home from work. Been here several times and never had a problem but today was pathetic. Wont be back to this one. Heard a lot of positive things about Providence Express. Trying them from now on.

Staff was very friendly. Dylan (only remember his name because we shared one) at front desk was cracking dad jokes and otherwise keeping the spirits up. Sorry don’t remember the technicians or for that matter even my physicians name but both ladies were extremely friendly and professional. The fact they were one of the few offices open after usual nine to five hours was great as well.Thank you staff for everything. Look forward to not having to come back or something like that, ha ha y’all know what I mean.Long and short of it:I recommend this care service.Aces y’all!

We typically have received great service so we were very surprised and disappointed when after an hour of waiting for a COVID test in the parking lot we were told the provider would not see any more patients. There was over an hour before they were due to close and the person next to us, who came after us got swabbed right before we were called and canceled. The support staff was great considering the circumstances.

PA Davis has helped me and my family when it came to having issues with COVID. She listens to our concerns and takes the time to treat us, she doesn’t treat us like just another patient and away to make another dollar. She cares and takes care of her patients. The front staff is amazing and very helped especially Dylan he has gone the extra mile!! My family will definitely be coming back!

The only issue I have is why did they have to charge me $183.60 for sitting in my car waiting for forever before someone can video call me and then just suggested that I go to the ER? I understand if they will charge me a minimal amount since I was there but why will they charge me that much if I didnt even let me come in???? It might not be that much for other people but for me its a lot of money! Granted the staff are nice and all but $183.60 for sitting outside for more than 2 hours is a bit ridiculous I think!!!!

My family has been to AMS for a number of different visits and it’s always been a great experience. They’re fast, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We much prefer AMS over Providence Urgent Care for quick fixes and minor illnesses. The rapid COVID tests are also very convenient and easy for folks that travel or need to test frequently.

Ams is on our route service, so I chose to go there when Ive needed medical treatment and these guys are awesome. The wait time is next to none and they are extremely efficient! Thank u AMS staff!

This is suppose to be an Urgent health care facility. I thought health care workers were supposed to see and care for sick people. Not here. If you cant show them a recent negative covid test, they wont see you. Oh, and who do you think should be doing covid tests? Yes, health care facilities. But, not this one. Health care workers, surely those at Urgent care facilities, should be vaccinated, they should wear PPE, and they most certainly should see and care for sick people without regard to what disease they may have.

I have always had fast, friendly service when attending AMS urgent care. Besides being a beautiful office, the staff and providers are consistently knowledgeable, amicable, and welcoming!

Amazing, compassionate service. Went in for sutures and the PA and MA did an excellent job and it’s healing beautifully. The front desk staff is exceptionally courteous and fun. Billing was a breeze.

AMS staff was courteous and efficient. Waited approximately 15 minutes at 5:30pm on a week day. If you have to be tested, this is the place to have rapid or longer test done.

First one and the only one in the parking lot, however it takes forever to get seen. I waited over an hour and a half to only sit in the lobby and another 30 minutes to get seen.

We experienced very good customer service. Dylan was very helpful answering our questions and informing us of what to expect during our visit. I appreciated being able to fill all patient forms online and the ability to submit needed documentation online. Will definitely use them in the future.

I was the victim of an assault and needed x-rays on my face and they said they couldn’t do them because assaults require “too much paperwork”.

Everyone was super nice and helpful. The desk staff people are wonderful and the doctors help you out with everything.

I know this is a late review, but I love coming here. A walk in clinic with no appointments necessary. Less than an hour wait, fast quick friendly service. Been here 3 times already. And Dylan at the front desk is very helpful and knowledgeable. Anyway, thank you so much

I have used AMS several times for Covid tests. The staff is organized and friendly. They offer rapid tests that get back to you sometimes within just an hour or two. My PCRs have always come back pretty quick too (compared to stories I’ve heard about other places).

I came here to get a rapid test and it was really quick, customer service was great, and everything was straightforward. Shout out to Dylan for the amazing customer service!!! Always good hearing a familiar voice

This was my first time in and was an grate experience, from the call for an appointment to to the professional service I was given.

FOA I’ve been coming here for like 2yrs SUPER STAFF never have an issue getting in pre or post COVID shutdowns. Staff has done employment testing for me and lab work and really everything I’ve needed and not wanted to wait to get into my PA. Highly recommend. BTW luv Dylan lol

I came to Ams to simply get a covid test for work and upon further testing it was discovered that I had Strep, Dr Jenny Davis knew exactly what to do and what to prescribe and thankfully I’m feeling much better and on the road to being healthy. Should be back on my feet in no time. All thanks to the AMS Urgent care team!

Every staff member was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to help us. The front desk staff, especially Dylan were transparent and kind and made the sometimes confusing process of insurance easy. The medical staff were also really great and explained everything in detail and with care. The facility is clean and accessible. We felt safe entering because the staff took all of the proper COVID-19 measures when checking us in. Really cant say enough how much we appreciated the quality of our experience at AMS Urgent Care. :)

No matter what I have gone in there for, whether it be for covid testing or stitches, they have always gone above and beyond. Its always calming to hear Dylans friendly voice when I call in. Because lets face it, nobodys calling when they are calm or for happy reasons.

This was my second visit to AMS, this time for a jammed finger. Even with COVID-19 precautions, I was seen quickly and everyone was SO KIND. I was impressed with the professionalism, promptness, and true care everyone exhibited. Between the check in, triage, x-ray, and diagnosis, I felt taken care of for all stages of my injury. This place is THE BEST, definitely my go-to when something unexpected pops up, but also for flu shots, Covid testing, school physicals, stitches/staples, etc. Dylan in the front office, PA Davis, Dr. Davis, and the rest of the team are efficient, caring, do their best to see patients quickly, and most importantly, are really good at their jobs.

This facility and others like it are jeopardizing the health and safety of our community and are largely at fault for the sudden spike in confirmed covid cases in alaska... please continue to read...AMS Urgent Care staff and providers are knowingly diagnosing potentially infected COVID19 patients with NEGATIVE results and then sending them back into the community putting everybody they come into contact with at risk of infection because of AMS lack of knowledge and training using these rapid test result kits.. AMS is Claiming a 97% accuracy in ALL rapid result tests conducted onsite. The BD Veritor Rapid result COVID19 testing kits... are ONLY 97% accurate in people displaying symptoms of respiratory infection... ALL asymptomatic persons receiving these tests with NEGATIVE results are INCONCLUSIVE.... I must Repeat!! Due to improperly trained AMS providers and staff performing these tests they are sending potentially infected people back into the community with a false sense of security that they are 97% sure they dont have covid WHEN INFACT THEY ARE STILL AT RISK AND ARE POTENTIALLY SPREADING THE VIRUS because of their negative rapid test results..

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Today was my fist time in there. I went in for shoulder pain that the doctor at OPA couldn’t figure out. Dr. Davis took the time to work with me and found what was triggering the pain within a short time. He was wonderful and seemed to really care about his patients. All the staff at AMS Urgent Care were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The facility was extremely clean too. I will definitely being going back there for my medical needs and I would highly recommend this clinic to everyone.

In the midst of medical clinics being ran up the wall with COVID worries, AMS Urgent Care shows that they have an efficient systems for handling both COVID and non-COVID related needs. Everyone I spoke to was helpful, kind, and polite. Dylan at the front was especially resourceful at answering any questions I had regarding paperwork, insurance information, etc.. and keeping my patient experience on track!

I wrote a review before - after getting feedback & thinking about my experience that I had with this clinic I think I am going to re-post my thoughts. I went there for a simple UTI, got sent to emergency room which I drove myself to due to a heart rate that was elevated. I left the hospital because I felt like I was going to get sicker sitting there with people not using masks correctly. I think my heart rate was elevated due to the stress caused ftom waiting to see if I could even see the dr. I kept getting told we dont know if you have covid or not. Dr is going to call you and we might do a rapid test....it went on and on. End result of 1st visit: $422.82 of charges, negative covid test, untreated UTI, and a useless trip, more lab work, and an ekg at the hospital. Days later I get a call telling me the doctor wants to speak with me and he would call me in an hour to an hour and a half. I told the person who called me - Im at work and I dont have time to wait for an hour to an hour and a half for a phone call. You need to ask the doctor a specific time so I can make myself available. $272.70 undisclosed charges & 10 min later the doctor confirms what I already knew to be true - UTI. I didnt know that I I told the dr about my experience & thoughts about the treatment I received. Few days later I felt nauseated again. I made it to the to the trash can outside of where I work barely in time to toss my cookies. My boss came outside to help me inside & wanted to send me home. I had deadlines & a new hr manager that needed help, to me going home wasnt a viable option. I dont know how I did it, but I made it through that day. The medicine I was prescribed made me sick. I called AMS twice on Fri. I was finally called back and offered a telemed appt. with another dr. Something told me to ask if i was going to be charged. Im convinced if I hadnt asked they would not have disclosed the charges. I declined to speak to the doctor & told them find the dr that prescribed the medicine. They said they would try, that was on Friday. No phone call or follow up after that. Monday I call them again & got a new to the job receptionist. Bless her heart she was sweet & did the best she could. I called another office to see if I could get a hold of the dr. that way. Between the time of me calling AMS and him calling me back I wrote a review recounting my experience with them. The Dr. called me back while Im laying on my couch feeling sick. We talked and I told him what happened with my reaction to the medication he prescribed and the fact Ive been waiting since Friday to hear from him and that I needed another prescription. He said a good thing is that there are other things that can be used to treat me and then he brought up my review I wrote. You know Im looking at this review that was just left... I told him I didnt feel good & I didnt really want to talk about that right now. He persisted. I related my experiences to him again and told him I didnt really feel like talking...he persisted, said he would follow up with his office and wanted to know what needed to happen for me to take down the review I wrote. We basically made an agreement that I would remove the review and he would call in a prescription for me. I got off the phone not feeling good about that conversation. I told a colleague of mine what happened and that I felt like if I didnt agree to take the review down I might not have gotten the replacement prescription. I received encouragement to re-post it because everything that happened is a factual true experience. I thought carefully about it and my promise and how professionals, especially if we are of color need to support each other; and then I got the bill. $695.52 of which I have to pay $138.10. Another urgent care which this same dr works at where i was treated for the exact same thing charged 240.53, my out of pocket was $40.53. AMS - Home of the hidden non-disclosed fees where its more about money vs medicine. Community Beware!

I broke my clavicle and at the time I only thought I needed urgent care.Being a new patient they helped me speed through the paper work.They had a great nurse, doctor and front reception.They also helped me with the bill since I was paying out of pocket. So needless to say I was very please with my visit. Thank you for the good experience despite the circumstances.

I went to this place after calling my insurance company and reading the reviews. I was having medical issues while on official government travel. I arrived at this facility to only discover they bill like a business. They wanted me to pay EVERYTHING up front. If I need lab work or XRays, I would need to pay that before I left. My insurance company told them and me that they would pay the claim after they submit it. But after further review, my insurance company discovered that balance billing is legal in Alaska. This allows these urgent companies to charge you up front for services. The reception then told me that they spoke with my insurance company and the insurance company said I have to obtain a PRE-APPROVAL that shows they will pay AMS. THIS WAS A LIE. My insurance provider LET ME HEAR THE RECORDED conversation. My insurance company informed AMS of all my benefits and copays. My copay for Urgent Care should be $20 but AMS wanted to charge me $274. BIG DIFFERENCE. I was in Alaska on official government business but NOW I FOUND A NEW PET PROJECT. Preventing other individuals from experiencing the same thing I went through.Thanks AMS...

I went to see PA there due to abdominal pain. The PA seemed clueless as to what the issue was. She kept asking me what I thought and what I should do as if I was the medical professional. She wasn’t confident on any diagnosis as to what was wrong. Sent for a blood test that wouldn’t be ready for 3 days!!!! What if I had some serious medical problem???I was very disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. It was a waste of time and money. I when to see a real doctor the following day and diagnosed me in 5 minutes and gave me appropriate treatment.Don’t waste your time going here as they won’t give you any good medical advice or care.

I would give this urgent care 100 stars if I could! The staff was incredible, friendly and very knowledgeable and I was in and out within an hour! The facility was also incredibly clean. This was for sure the best urgent care experience I have ever had.

Influenza A; turns out this is what I had. I dealt with Jennifer Davis PA, she was awesome. We pleasant to work with. I went in on a Thursday and filled out my paperwork and they got me back quickly. Now I work in different type of providers office and Ive seen patients wait for awhile. I will be using this place again, it was clean, front desk was helpful. Going to make Jennifer as my PCP.... Thanks again I will be back.. HAHA!!!!

What a great Urgent Care clinic!! We went in and hardly had to wait. The service we received, from front desk staff to the CNA to the doctor has been amazing! Professionalism at its best! Great rapport, not only with me, but with my son. Dr. Davis provided the information with options so I could make the best decision for my son. I have never had such great service or care for my son or myself at an Urgent Care Clinic. We will definitely continue to use AMS Urgent Care for future care needs!! I was that jerk who walked in 2 minutes to close (albeit accidentally -- I didnt look up their hours before I went). They took me anyway, with a smile. I really appreciated that, since I have infant twins at home and didnt want to be gone longer than necessary. The tech and doctor I saw were both professional. The doctor was really helpful, and answered all of my questions. She called in my script and I was able to go pick it up straight after leaving. Also, Dylan, the office attendant, was really helpful (again, with a smile). He gave me billing info right away - before I was seen - and even gave me a bottle of water while I waited.

My experience at AMS Urgent Care was excellent. The clinic was clean and welcoming. The front desk was very helpful and prompt as we walk in the door. All the staff were friendly throughout the process. Definitely recommend this place. Great team and facility.

AMS Urgent Care has the words URGENT CARE on their door but they do not bill like an urgent care. I went to AMS Urgent Care due to an injury. I chose them because I drive by them twice day. I did not know they were out of network with my insurance. I paid the bill up front with full anticipation that my insurance would cut me a check in return. All of this would have worked out great but AMS bills as an office instead of an Urgent Care as advertised. My insurance has contacted them and asked them to change it. I have also contacted them multiple times and they still refuse. This changes my patient responsibility from $50 to $784.50. In my opinion this business does not care about the patients they are helping. At this point it isnt about the money for me. It is about the principal and doing good business.

They are so nice and caring here from the time i walked in and walk out. The receptionist are nice and helpful, the CNA is caring and friendly and Dr. Davis is awesome, kind and caring doctor. The best thing the clinic is clean. Highly recommended to come here. I am from east side and I am glad that my feet take me to this clinic.

Dr.Davis is a very caring and dedicated Dr. My whole visit was excellent from the time I signed in till left. The whole staff is genuinely caring and perfessional. This was the first time I saw a Dr that truly was practicing for the right reasons healing people. I give him rating of 10. I wish he was my regular Dr. Thank you for everything

AMS has helped my family 2x. Once with a late night physical and the next time they provided me with great information and solid direction on how to care for my son. MACKENZIE is awesome. I will return.

We called and did our research. We were here on vacation so from out of town. They said they would accept insurance. Once we got there we were turned away and told that we could not even pay cash and submit our own insurance. So now we need to find a new place. Get a new taxi and find a new place. This place is not the place to go!

Marvelous staff!!! They are stupendously knowledgeable, caring and efficent. Went in for a simple physical during which blood pressure was elevated. Megan generously considered all my health She preemptively moved to help lower blood pressure while I am waiting for physicians appointment at local medical office.Megans diligence is not what was expected from a walk in clinic. She is an exemplary example of her profession. Her bringing skill and talent where needed most is ABSOLUTELY changing lives.Definetly choose AMS Urgent Care.

I was treated kindly, and like an individual, even though we were paying cash and had to set up a payment plan. Dr. D was personable, attentive and professional. We will be going back.

The staff have always been very kind and understanding. Ive never had a bad experience, and the people Ive recommended go there havent either.

I called prior to going in & was told they took medicaid. Well, many people who have medicaid also have medicare but they didnt bother to mention that they dont take you if you have medicare. So they informed me of that after I arrived then gave me a sheet of paper with some other urgent care places on it. They told me which one was closest. I dont have a car & it was Sewards day so the buss werent running so I had to take a cab which I could not afford. The place they told me was full service & just a mile or 2 away turned out to be 6 miles away, (per the cab receipt) and that place wouldnt take me as they didnt have X Ray equipment for what I needed. (Follow up from having been rear ended) The Dr there also accused me of wanting pain meds. A rotten experience. They need to knew more about the places they refer you to. Also to tell you about their policies re: insurance.

Our son cut his hand on a fence and the staff and Doctor there was kind, considerate and friendly. If they were not an urgent care, I would love to make AMS our primary Doctor

This place is a joke. Dont even bother going. I told them my problem I asked if they could help and they said they may or may not be able to and that I would have to pay $65 to see the doctor to tell me if he could or could not help me. Talk about a disservice and a waste of time. I thought doctors work for the patients. Not the other way around. Change your stupid policies or I will never come back to this place. Why is it that you cant see the patient find out if you can help them and then determine if a charge is appropriate! Severely disappointed in this place. I Will not look to them for future services. No wonder the cost of healthcare is crazy with the stupid programs and policies they have in place to drive up prices. They charge you before they can even see if they can help you. Am I the only one that thinks this is wrong?

If I could give NO STARS I would! Awful! The lady at the front desk said my insurance doesnt pay fast enough so she wanted me to pay $250+ for service?! Excuse me, but no. There is a process to have claims paid in a timely manner, and if you are not getting paid then you are not submitting them correctly. I will go to BBB and the health administration about my experience here!

Awful! They cannot figure out how to bill insurance. They took the incorrect information down when I went in for my visit. After a 10 minute visit by the practitioner, they said the sent a prescription into the pharmacy, which they did not. Seems like they can’t get it together...obviously extremely poorly run.
