I absolutely LOVE my hair. Mackenzie did an incredible balayage on me. She was so professional, sweet, and very attentive to the details I explained that I wanted in my hair. She took her time and the end product really shows that. This was by far one of the best hair experiences I’ve ever had and I will be coming back.

Phoebe Ferguson did an absolutely amazing job. I did not have time to do a trial before my wedding, but she put me right at ease and created a wonderful updo that I loved.

I hate leaving negative feedback on services I get but sometimes you have to be truthful when providing service. I wished she said she wasn’t comfortable or it wasn’t up her alley to cut really short/Asian hairs idk. Mind you, I still am giving a 3 star rating for something I don’t like and still left a little over 50% in tips for their professionalism and understanding even though I ended up with a hairstyle I did not want. Showed Jasmine what I wanted and ended up not getting it. It was supposed to be a pixie cut with bangs. I had longer than shoulder length hair to start. So there was a lot of room to work with. When she was done and showed me the “final” result, I was not pleased. My whole hairstyle didn’t blend at all. She said it doesn’t look that bad and put a bunch of products on my hair. The whole point of me cutting a big chunk of my hair was to not have to do a lot with it. I’m a busy mom and I don’t have time to put a lot of products to just style my hair. She said I was just in shock 😂 I’ve had more edgy hairstyles before so I said, “no, I’m not in shock. This hairstyle does not flow or blend at all.” Even I can see that and I don’t even do hair for a living. She ended up calling someone else to help fix my hair which is somewhat livable. Definitely going somewhere else to hopefully salvage my hairstyle before my vacation. 😔

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Marissa (I believe that is her name) was so friendly and took a lot of time doing my extensions, which I appreciated. She was thorough in consulting me on what type of lashes I wanted, as well as after care. I will 100% come back and see her!

Allie did an amazing job on my eye lashes. Today was my first time getting them done by her. And I absolutely love them. she did them perfect. It was the perfect length, and fullness! And she did they in a quick amount of time. Definitely recommend her to anyone wanting beautiful lashes

I love my hair! I even brought my 11 y/o daughter and she loved the result! Phoebe stayed late to finish her hair and get it to the color my daughter wanted. My daughter is very shy and doesn’t really talk a lot but she said she felt comfortable talking to Phoebe. She did an amazing on both of our hair!

Ashley helped me fix my bad haircut that I did on myself. She was able to cut my hair with how uneven it was and gave me the look I was going for. Ashley told me what she recommended for my hair and made sure I was happy. The set up of the salon is aesthetically pleasing. Definitely would recommend going to You beauty lounge!!

I had an appointment scheduled for weeks, but when I arrived, I was informed they wouldn’t be able to fit me in to their schedule. There was no one available at any point the day of my appointment who could take the time to make me feel like a valued customer. It was incredibly unprofessional, and they lost my business and the business of the friends and family who I have told of my experience.Don’t go here if want to feel valued and respected.

I always get my hair done by Kenzie and I love it every time! I don’t even have to tell her what to do she knows best. Great service, clean place, always on time, and fair prices.

Few weeks ago my only intention was to buy hair products from this salon and I guess I was meant to meet McKenzie. So I consulted her with the haircut that I had from a different salon that turned out to be a flop. I like that she was very honest to me after showing the actual haircut that I wanted to have. She said that it can still be fixed, but there are some areas of my hair that would be tricky to work with and how it would look like if she fixes the haircut. So I had my appointment with her today and I walked out the salon very happy and satisfied because she was able to capture the look that I envision in the first place. I think I just found my hairdresser. Thank you so much McKenzie!

I booked for a consultation and a balayage on the same day but unfortunately they do a consultation first then schedule the hair color service on another day. I had the hair color scheduled the following weekend and just had my consultation with Chris. He is very professional in explaining what we would achieve given my current hair color and showed me an idea on what it would become. I also asked some tips on styling and he immediately showed me how to do it on my hair! Pretty awesome experience for a consultation. I am having high hoped on my actually hair color service coming up over the weekend with the Master Stylist at the salon. Can’t wait!

My wedding hair person canceled a month before my wedding and I was desperate to find someone to help me. This is a small town and there are a lot of weddings booked this year so that made it virtually impossible to find someone quality to fix my hair. Other places that I called either told me they were all booked or they weren’t helpful or they didn’t call me back. The lady I talked to on the phone when I called You Beauty was super professional and got back to me immediately. This place is a godsend and I am so thankful a friend recommended it. They are able to do my hair and make up on my wedding day. I am so so grateful! Being that I haven’t had the services yet, I can’t say how satisfied I am but I will make an edit to the post after my big day.

I had fallen behind on my appointments and was in desperate need of coloring. It was so bad that now I actually know what my natural hair color is-GRAY! The one and only Shelley South did exactly what I asked and I love the new color. Ive been seeing Shelley for over 20 years so that should tell you something.Megan, the receptionist (and SO much more), is always friendly and bubbly. Plus I like to see what shes done to her hair between visits.On top of my cut/color/eyebrow wax I ordered a turkey sandwich on my way out and it was delicious!Lastly, while I was there they got approved for their wine/beer license so Im looking forward to sitting outside with a glass of wine and a friend after my next appointment. :)

Ashley is definitely my go to from now on. I was a little complicated with what cut I wanted but Ashley was super easy to work with and I ultimately left with the haircut I wanted to pay for.

I had an appointment booked 2 weeks in advance,for color and highlights. I called twice to reassure my quote was still the same, and was told that it wouldnt and shouldnt be more than $150. I understand that pricing depends on how much color is used and the type of hair style. But if youre gonna charge me beyond my quote and claim because of color. Please make sure that I see it , because all I see on my hair are the left over residue that wasnt wash off properly and 2 streaks that I can visibly see, while the others are HIDINGING and CAN BARELY SEE!However; after reading all the reviews and being referred to by one of my coworkers, I went in thinking I was in good hands and what I wanted (even showed a picture & called numerous times to be sure), but i was unsatisfied!!! The lady that did my hair said so many things of what she did to my hair that I DID NOT WANT !!! & OBVIOUSLY DID NOT PAY FOR !!!!! I wanted highlights that would stand out instead I got peak a boo highlights and 2 highlights in the front!!! & then to top it off she got color all over my face!!!!!! And I still walked out with left over color in the front of my forehead , in my ear.So would I go bacc and spend another $150...oh Im sorry $200 on highlights here ? I DONT THINK SO . Sorry to my friend that recommended this place. Maybe they only take good care of their regular customers. Dont judge a book by its cover, they say!!!!!

I had My lashes done at another place and they didn’t really bad job there was tons of glue all over my lashes they were falling out clumps it was horrible. I came here the lady was so kind and so gentle and fix them removed them and put on beautiful lashes.

I actually liked the haircut a lot, and I thought the dye was very good despite the difficulty my hair was giving with the toning. Everything felt a bit rushed near the end, I think because there was another client waiting, and it was making me feel pretty anxious. So that was unfortunate, but it didn’t make for a bad haircut at all. The team works together well, and all the workers are very skilled, professional, and personable. I’d definitely go again.

Had my lashes done by their senior aesthetician and she was barely able to get my lashes half full in the hour-long appointment. When I asked her if we could work to make them more full at the next appointment she said “you can book more time but I have other clients to take care of”.. yikes. I’ve been to a bunch of lash artists in the 8 years I’ve had extensions and they have all been able to complete a fill within an hour. I was really looking forward to going here too! Bummer.

My hair was over processed and way too treated. My hair was so many different colors. To make things worse, I cut my own bangs during quarantine and I wasn’t even what I wanted (every stylist loves when a client comes in like that) but she was sooo patient and worked with me and I LOVE my finished hair. Absolutely will be going back.

I love this place! I see Shelly and she is just the best! I have dark brown hair and she did a balayage in blonde and it came out better than I I ever thought it would! Not to mention the haircuts are always cute and exactly what I’m looking for. She asks the whole time your opinion on things to make sure it’s the cut you want but doesn’t hesitate to give her professional opinion. Everyone is very clean and professional. When I made my appointment I asked for a haircut and for the stylist to curl my hair after and the receptionist said she would do that. When I got there the stylist said that she didn’t have time and that I would have to pay extra. I ended up paying 65 dollars which is a little to much for a haircut and I didn’t even get my hair curled after.

Best salon in town. The owner is a hard working small business owner, who goes above and beyond to service her clients. Salon is professional, beautiful and in a great mid-town location. When your image is your business, it shows.

I walked in and was instantly greeted. My lash stylist Mackenzie was literally so sweet and patient. I’m pregnant and my back bothers me but she didn’t seem to find me adjusting myself to help support my back. She was quick, friendly and overall the best service I’ve ever received. Their prices are so affordable I had to give her a nice tip. Would 10/10 recommend this place over any other lash place.

Omg thank you so much to the stylist maddie I came in with a disaster and she did magic to my hair I had bleached it than died it bright fire truck red I than tried to get the color out after I got tired of it so I used 3 different brand box dies I ended up with salmon flamingo orange brass blond hair litteraly had all those individual colors and patches I than said I have to get this professionally fixed I look up every picture review and website for all anchorage hair stylist I found you beauty lounge located inside the cafe she was on time straight to the point showed me pictures of my options to fix my hair and it came out more than amazing better than the picture and better than I expected I was scared to go dark so she used a light and dark brown 🤎 and I asked for the front of my bangs to be blond my hair was also very damaged and I didnt want a hair cut so she used these solutions and treatments for my hair to wear it brought it back to life my hair feels like certain soft healthy hair and looks amazing thank you again Im literally going to her Everytime now she did wonders I am also going for my wax facial lashes and all services they are 100% with honesty service and so sanitary every time they used a comb they sanitized the one they used and grabbed a new one they wiped the chair floor the sinks to wash our hair I complemented on how sanitary they were there kind people fun to speak with so caring and really I lf I could give 20stars to put this place at top number 1 place I would this is the spot to go for everything great prices and great service awesome professional products I would love to post my before and after pictures but its not letting me? Once I can post them I will.

I’ve lived in both Seattle and San Diego, and have been spoiled by fantastic hairstylists. Sadly, the same has not been true in Anchorage... until McKenzie did my hair! I almost didn’t want to write a review, so I could keep her to myself. I’ve wanted highlights that can grow out without the harsh line and this is exactly what she gave me. Finally!! The cut she gave me makes my hair look thick and healthy. McKenzie knows what is in style and what the latest trends are. If you want the perfect highlights and cut... look no further! I have been to many different salons and tried out many stylists in the past 2 1/2 years in Anchorage and had had mediocre results. McKenzie is an amazing stylist and I highly recommend her! She keeps everything clean (especially during Covid), is on time, listens to what you want, gives great suggestions and really cares that you love your hair. Mckenzie saved my botched hair! Got a bad dye job and layers at a different place but luckily I found this place. I will definitely be coming back to Mckenzie, she did a really good job at listening to what I wanted done to my hair and performed exactly that. The price was fair for what I had done. The solan was clean and the other staff seemed friendly and fun. Everyone who walked out of there had really nice hair. This is definitely going to be my go to solan now.
