In all fairness I remembered this place because I went here before The pandemic and it was a great massage and affordable! When I recently was there they were closed. I don’t know if they are in business right now ?

Sign says happy hour 11-5 foot massage for $29. Lady keeps trying to get me to do the body massage for $39. When I say I only want foot first she says they are busy however Im the only one in lobby. She then comes back out and say 1/2 foot massage for $20 I agree. Im sitting for a minute she comes back out and says cant do just foot too complicated we cant do too busy.. Im visiting area.. 1st place I stopped and bad service and experience.

Been here twice, both times the massage was amazing. I had a bad back and they did an amazing job. I heard one lady, as she was leaving say, you have magic fingers. They do have different pricing for different times of the day, 11am to 5pm, is the best. They do charge $2 for using a credit card. Highly recommended.

This was my first experience at Gold Massage and I absolutely loved it. The staff is friendly and very skilled! I am a school teacher and my lower back has been hurting, but after my time at Gold Massage I feel like a brand new person. I highly recommend this place. Its fantastic and affordable. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Im grateful to have discovered this place.

My review is going to be similar to some of the other reviews that I’ve read on here. Let me start with the positives:The massage was great. They were able to take me right away without making an appointment. The massage was reasonably priced.They also charged me a handling fee for using a credit card. I think when businesses charge for this, it is very cheesy. It’s 2019, most people pay with a credit card. If you have a problem with the handling fees, just build them into your price. People don’t want to feel like they’re being punished for using a card.I was asked before the service if I wanted to add a tip. As previously noted here, that is an unusual request. I get that there is a cultural misunderstanding here perhaps. But I hate when people in the service industry assume they are being tipped when they haven’t done anything yet .. having worked in the service industry for a long time, I consider myself a good tipper. You have to EARN tips ..My masseuse who is different than the person that charged me for the service, was also asking me about tips before the service was finished. Again, this is tacky. My total charge for a 90 minute massage was about $84. I tipped the masseuse $27. Now, to make things worse, they have a tipping chart at the front desk. This was well over their criteria for an excellent tip. Despite this, the masseuse was insisting that I give her more and that she “worked hard”I don’t disagree with the fact that she worked hard, but she was tipped very fairly. In retrospect, I should’ve taken the money off of the table ..maybe she would realize how rude she was in demanding more money.If you don’t have a problem with this type of thing, or are inclined to tip out rages amount of money, perhaps this is a place for you :-)In the meantime, I would suggest that the owner and employees of this business learn some tact about appropriate tipping.

It’s very pricey! I got a 20 minute massage for $40!!! & then the lady had the audacity to ask me for a tip when she over charged.

The place is unconformable and too warm to enjoy your massage. Staff are very rude and short in their tone and attitude. They spiked up the advertised price and charge more if you use credit card. Yet they expect yoi to tip up front before you can appreciate their service. Stay away from them.

They walk on your back so that they dont have to actually kneed knots out. Then the lady massaging my back would stop and talk to her friend for 3 minutes at a time. After the $40.00 this lady named COCO demanded a $30.00 dollar tip and pointed to a sign that outlined a tip rating. That wasnt cool and that is why I will not be back.

I wanted to like this place. I called ahead to see if they could take me so late. Arrived 11pm. When they tried to take my prepayment for the massage on the credit card terminal, it wouldn’t go through. Something with the machine. They said I could go down the street to get cash back somewhere. I left out, went to the gas station and went through this whole ordeal of them having a $40 limit + a store purchase and a $1.50 fee on top. I messed up during the transaction and hit the wrong button when it asked if I wanted cash back which completed the transaction, of course without giving me the cash I’d come for. So they had to recharge me another $1.50 just to do it right. Already started off a hassle. When I got back they said the terminal was working at this point. Wasted trip, but hey stuff happens right? Paid and received the massage but the majority of the time she worked over or on top of my spine. A lot of elbow work dragging over my back and ribs. And then when the pressure wasn’t extra hard, it was barely any effort being put into it. I could tell she was tired because she just wasn’t giving her best. After it was done I handed her a stack of ones I had left, about $10, that she scoffed and sucked her teeth at even before counting and complained that she had stayed late for me. When I handed her the rest if what I had left, just a few dollars more, she complained again that it was 12:30. I apologized for not having more cash but that I couldn’t get more cash back from when I had tried earlier anyway. It was still over a 20% tip even w/out adding more. I found it rude that, one, she was outwardly disgusted w/ the tip and went as far as to badger and complain about it. I felt bad at first, because I am also a massage therapist and she had worked late. But it was a terrible massage that left me sore. I am still sore and its a couple days later now. I’ve also never complained about how much I was tipped or tried to make the client feel bad about it. I will likely not return here after this experience.

My husband and I were tired out and sore from walking at Parks and sitting for days at a convention so we stopped in for combo foot and back 30 min massage from Coco and Phanie they did a firm, neck, arms hips, arms Chinese style massage it was therapeutic and relaxing. We recommend them.

So I was confused with the discrepancy between all the 5 star and 1 star reviews for this place, and I think I figured out why. If youre getting a body massage, this place is TERRIBLE. She was only using one hand, and actually sitting on the massage table beside me. Halfway though, I told her to stop and just do a foot massage, which actually wasnt bad (maybe 3 stars). As the other reviews promise, they will hustle you for a tip with the girl awkwardly standing between you and the door.

Gold Anaheim is a really great place to get a massage right after walking through Disneyland. I dont go to Disneyland much, but I like to go there and get my neck, head, and full body massage. They are great. I give them a 5 star.

After walking all over universal studios and Disneyland for days, went here for a foot massage. Not only did she massage my feet she did my entire legs as well. Felt like I was walking on air when I left. Really one of best massages Ive ever got.

This place is solid. I tweaked my neck working at a conference at a hotel nearby. I walked in, asked for a lady, told her what hurt and she did a great job working that area but balanced the rest of the body throughout the massage. Good pricing too.

Massage was a 4/5. They took me and my husband in right away. The room was dark and nice relaxing music was on. Smelled clean. Obviously advertised price had a catch. It was only for certain times. Odd thing was we were about to tip her and she refused it because she didnt think it was enough. Husband tipped her more but it didnt feel right lol. Not cause of the money but because of how she refused it.

Prices are different based on time of day...no real training displayed in my half hour foot massage.Just rub up and down.Would not recommend.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY REASON. This place does not look as “nice” as advertised. It is super sketchy and quite plainly scary. I went there for a massage and I’m 100% never going back. There was a creepy man behind a curtain WATCHING ME get my massage. It was extremely traumatizing. Also they make you pay (including tip) before the massage. This place should be shut down immediately. Do not come here for your own safety.

If youve ever had a remotely decent massage before youll know that this place sucks. The masseuse spent half the time just going up and down my back with her elbow. It was clear she was untrained and had no idea what to do. Even I know more pressure points than she did. And at the end she blocks the door asking for a tip, and when I declined, the man at the front repeated that I should tip her (intimidation?). I had to say I didnt think the massage was very good so I couldnt tip. Sorry, cant recommend this place at all.

I dont usually feel compelled to write a review, but this place was SO bad that i needed to. This was the worst massage Ive ever experienced and dont understand how theyre in business and it makes total sense to me now that they make you pay first. For one, theres absolutely no communication - at the very least they should be asking if you have/had an injury or any sensitive areas in general. They rushed me in and were quite rude to be honest, the massage was SO rough, it literally just felt like intense pinching he was pressing down so hard i felt his arm shaking. I asked FOUR times politely to please be gentle and less pressure and that just seemed to offend him. Im one of those people that it takes a lot for me to have to speak up because i feel uncomfortable and dont want to cause problems, but I had no choice. He also put a scorching hot towel on my back at one point without any warning or ASKING if the temperature was okay and proceeded to roughly scratch it across my back. Not to mention he left the room 3 times to help other customers, the music was awful and it skipped frequently. Overall, they only seemed interested in getting my money and after that I was a nuisance. Do yourself a favor, DONT go here.

I have been delayed more than 20 minutes prior to start although I have reservation. The massage was so bad, and I was disappointed. The cashier said that pay tip or I will call police, but I refused. Come on which type of customer service and respect they have??!!
