Highly recommend Dr Jimmy Cui! Dr Cui is a professional that listens. He spent time with me to uncover my physical limitations and pain associated with daily work and activities. Treatment options were discussed thoroughly and treatment started immediately. It took years for a primary care physician to really listen to me and give me a true relief option of a professional provider that is knowledgeable. I am thankful I changed to Fidalgo Family Associates, as my referral to Dr Cui was quick. Dr Cui and his staff are kind, knowledgeable and have made me believe in our health care providers again. The non-invasive treatment plan he started with me has eliminated the pain limitations I’ve had to deal with for so long. Thank you!

I’ve had two prior surgeries in another state by an excellent doctor. Rust said , Dr Rodin listened, was patient and was able to provide excellent care, via a shot along with my PT which was what I needed and wanted. I was very appreciative of his caring , along with his well informed staff.

My experience was much different with this Doctor & Staff, than any of the more critical reviews left here. From the receptionist to the nurses, everyone remained professional and cheerful. Dr. Rodin did a great job explaining my injury, and possible things that could be done.Dont be put off immediately when you read a negative-sounding review, try an appointment yourself, and draw your own conclusions. Even though my shoulder was not repairable, at least I can understand what is happening when it gives me grief during activities.

I saw Dr. Rodin now 3 years ago when I literally could no longer walk because of pain in my right hip. Following examination and X-rays, it was determined that the joint had deteriorated to the point it needed to be replaced. Dr. Rodin did the surgery and follow up. I was and still am completely satisfied with his work. Professional, personable, competent.About a year ago I had a friend who needed to have their artificial hip replaced due to deterioration. I called Dr. Rodins office. They reviewed my records and informed me that I did not have the same artificial hip; they knew of the issue. They were responsive and quick to get information back to me.

During the first few appointments I had with Dr. Curt Rodin, he initially seemed like a concerned physician, but always extremely short on time and ready to move on to the next patient. He always appeared to be severely preoccupied with his own opinion and self-importance rather than listening to the patients relevant concerns. It wasnt until I requested copies of my chart notes that the facts and truths about his lack of professionalism came to light.1. He betrayed my patient confidences, despite my requests that he NOT disclose a copy my primary care doctor.2. He disagreed with a first treating physicians opinion, but rather than standing by his differing and contradictory diagnose (which an ethical physician would do) from that of the other mediocre physician, he didnt bother to include his differing opinion in his chart note. Instead, Dr. Rodin took me to task in his notes in memorializing my stated less than professional experience with with first substandard physician.3. The worst experience was when I was discussing a few orthopedic issues with him during one appointment, and he said, You will have to schedule another appointment. He was obviously more concerned about being paid for a second appointment, rather than being concerned with his patients health. This is exactly why the public, as well as other physicians, often refer to orthopedists as Having huge egos. The patient is only another means for them to get paid.

After years of wrestling with a bum knee, I went for a consult on a possible replacement. Dr. Rodin doesn’t replace knees any more, but I’d heard he was the local Anacortes “knee guy,” so I was happy to get his opinion. Long story short, he gave me a cortisone shot and began me on a series of 4 Ortho-Visc shots in my knee in an effort to forestall surgery. All I can say is WOW! First of all, his desk side manner is great; he showed me my X-rays and explained what he was seeing in easy-to-understand language. He didn’t oversell the injections, but gave me realistic expectations about the outcome. I was very nervous about the injections (I had Googled the product and read other peoples’ stories, most of them from unhappy campers...), but they were pretty much non-events! They use ultrasound to help get the needle in the right place, so there was none of the poking and pain I was expecting. In fact, when I got the last shot, I told them they could give my name and phone number to nervous patients considering the procedure...which , of course, they are prohibited from doing by law...so I’m writing this review in hopes it will help patients who are unsure about the injections feel better about the process. And speaking of feeling better, I am! I still know my knee isn’t the same as it was several years ago, but I’m pretty much without pain. I’m crossing my legs again, climbing up and down stairs, and looking forward to a summer of doing more than sitting in camp while everybody else is out walking around the lake! The guy is great, and Shawna, who assisted him, is reassuring and fun to talk with (and she wields a pretty mean ultrasound machine!). Go for it!
