Love cabelas. This store does not have the same amount of selection as some of the other locations I’ve been to. No hunter safety gear in the fall?

I like the ammon cabelas. They dont always have what Im looking for, but they always treat me fair. I always get my hunting/fishing license combo from them and probably always will till either I die or they close down. Good place for outfitting.

The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the fact that they are completely out of what I needed. Great store, great location but being out of product is very frustrating 😑 for consumers. The item I drove from another town to purchase was not a specialty item. I was told to go online and buy it. If thats what I wanted to do I would not have driven 😕 out of my way. Store is nice and clean which is always a plus.

Always treated like family here. I was looking for something and this wasn’t the place to find it but an employee was willing to recommend other places to find what I was looking for. During the time of another visit I was made aware of some deals going on that saved me a ton of money! The employee did not need to tell me about them but he did and just made a good experience great!

Always a pleasure to go to Cabelas! The staff is so friendly and they have a decent amount of items for sale. Compared to most other Cabelas stores the one in Idaho falls is tiny!!! I know that may be minor detail for some but that is what kept this review from being 5 stars. I wish so badly they would have built a bigger store.

I use to love this store but the last time I went in it was nothing but clothes! Gone was the camping gear, atv accessories, generators, etc. it was almost all clothes! What a waist of space terrible what has been done to this store!

I was trying to get a fishing license but the cashier seemed more preoccupied with talking to her coworker about her personal dating life in the middle of my our transaction. Also bought a different item but for some reason it was partially burnt but thats on me, since I did not check out to confirm it was in proper order.

Went in for ammo. (Ha. On a Saturday? As if.) Obviously nothing there. But the gun guys were, as always, friendly and eager to talk about whatever they did have to sell. Gotta be hard for them right now. Nice to see theyre still doing their best.

The sales associates were very helpful in finding what I was looking for. Keep up the great customer service!

Love just walking around this store. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful with any questions. I have never had any issues with them other than certain products being cheaper in the general area if your familiar with things around here. Firearms can be more expensive here than their competing places like Sportsmans, Als, and CAL Ranch.

Bass Pro ruined Cabela’s. I’m not the typical hunting Cabela’s target market customer, but I do like guns and quality gear. Cabela’s had that back in the day, but now they’re introducing cheap Walmart quality items. The Red Head stuff is absolute trash. I’d expect that in Walmart, not a dedicated outdoor sporting retailer. With online resources and sales just do some online research and buy from them. You’ll get more educated opinions, wayyy more convenient shopping, and more options. Cabela’s is the next K-Mart/Blockbuster. Not dissing this store specifically, I think they do a pretty good job overall. This is mostly a corporate issue out of their hands.

Great store. Very friendly folks that actually help, answer questions and seem to really know their products. Jason in forearms was one of the most knowledgeable people Ive talked to with respect to firearms. Although we did not purchase at the time, our intent is to revisit and make our purchase from this store and specifically work with Jason.

Great place to find nice clothing and boots. Went in to buy boots to walk in water and found a pair on sale. I was happy!! No more wet feet.

Ammon has the nicest people on the planet. Cabelas was packed with great merchandise and customers. Dog and pet friendly too not only human friends meet here to shop! Jamie met another large black older guy with a bit of a white mustache. Later I looked out my RV window to see the couples lab mix prancing to their RV with his prize a huge dinosaur bone that the Cabelas keep in stock for their furr customers. A recommended business for sure❤

Love this store. They have anything I can think of when it comes to outdoors, if its in stock. Recently I looked for some ice fishing supplies and they seem to always be out of it.

We went in to get a new pair of boots for my son because he had a lifetime warranty on them and they are wearing out so fast. The old guy that came to help us was so rude. He was loud and told my son that he would not honor the warranty because the boots were to old. He was not nice about it at all. He was loud and made ignorant. He could have been nice about it and not made such a huge scene.

April 7th between 1:30-2:30, my birthday.Went in to pick up a weather station for my birthday from my wife, when I went in it was all good, went to the back to pick it up and everything went fine, the old guy in the back was pretty fast in finding it and sent me on my way. After this it went south, as I was heading to the front door the only cashier was watching me suspiciously and I waved my receipt and she told me to get in line, I said what, I paid for this, get in line she said again.So I started to get mad, I had just barely recieved my first covid shor and it was my birthday, but I got in line, a short time later as I moved up behind the girl in front of me at the register, she yelled at me again, I was to close to the girl in front of me and it was THE LAW. Now Im steaming after she takes her time with the person in front, staring at me the whole time, I finally get up there, prepare to show her my receipt and she rings it up, telling me how much it is. I already paid for it, she says sorry you should have told me. I exclaimed I did, you just ignored me. I stalked out and dont plan to go back. A good argument to do all specialty shopping on Amazon and Ebay. The old guy and weather station are the only reason they got 1 ☆....

I always like going in Cabelas. Their current staff is friendly and helpful. I had to do a return/exchange the day after black Friday, they were still fairly busy but I was helped promptly. There were still some good deals that day as well!

Looking for snowshoes. Had to ask 3 staff before I was finally told they were out a month ago. This is the intermountain west and winter still 6 weeks away. But you could buy fishing rods and clothes. Dont waste you time

We are on a long distance road trip and have been stopping at every Cabelas along the way. I have a medical condition that makes it impossible for me to wear a mask and makes it unreasonable for my family members to wear one around me. Last town we stopped in, I was told to leave the store because I couldnt wear a mask. Being denied service because of a medical condition is dehumanizing and it really ruined our night as I cried the whole 50 miles to a vacant rest area to use the bathroom. This morning, I had my boyfriend walk into this Cabelas to Guage the mask situation. Last thing we need is another incident over a mask on our family trip. Fortunately, this Cabelas, along with all the others weve been to, has a mask policy but respects individuals right to privacy of their health circumstances. It really was a sigh of relief as I went into the store, being treated just as every normal customer. As for the 2 reviews that I saw condemning this location for lack of enforcement, I decided to spend a few extra hundred bucks for that lack of discriminatory enforcement that a select few Karens are demanding. Thank you Cabelas for making me feel welcome. And Thank you Jacob in archery for discussing my new bow purchase with me!

I can find all I want for fishing, hunting, camping. If not at the store I shop on line.

Cabelas is great. To bad they got rid of the candy nuts that they use to make all the time. There archery service is gray and friendly and fast.

Pricing needs to come down a little but great service and staff know what they are doing when helping you select gear.

Staff is very friendly and willing to help with all my questions about the guns and support for hunting. Good deals are available if you watch for them. Wish the lifetime warranty was still valid on Cabelas brand shoes.

I am really disappointed with Cabelas. I over paid for a pair of Cabelas brand boots that when I bought them had a lifetime warranty. I took them into cabelas because they were no longer water proof which would have been under warranty. I took them to Customer service. The kid working was nice and told me that the boots no longer have any warranty. They now only have a 60 day warranty that only cover manufacturer defects. Which is fine but why are they not honoring warranty on items that were pre- bass pro. Now that cabelas doesnt have a decent warranty go buy your hunting goods anywhere else and save 20% or better. The best thing cabelas ever HAD was a good warranty.

Great place to get ammo or fishing equipment . they have everything you need and more , The staff are awesome and if you have a problem or question they are willing to get your answer for you . My wife hates it when i go here because i always spend to much money lol .

Today I wanted to trade a SCR for a traditional AR-15. After clearing the weapon, we walked back to the guns & ammo department. They acted like I was wasting their time, and it took 1 hour 15 min to offer a low-ball price. I politely declined, and the perp-walk to the register’s began. Since I was purchasing $60 of merchandise, the “functionary” had to wait w/my gun until I want through. This displeased him, as he handed the weapon back, he turned and stormed off. Cabela’s does NOT want your biz if they are inconvenience in any way.

I called needing to know if they had a certain product in stock, the employee who answered the phone did not introduce themselves, they were unable to answer my question so they cold transferred me to another department. No one answered and it automatically switched back to them. Again I was cold transferred and again it rang back. At this point I was told to just call back some other time.Phone etiquette is important, being able to find answers to questions is important, you should know how to find the answer. No one needs to know everything, they should know how to properly search.

Clean and well stocked. Nice staff and plenty there to help on a busy day.

Great store. Outpost store, so not as big as other cabelas but they pack a lot in. From my experience, dont expect archery pro shop level knowledge and service though if you are shopping for a archery equipment.

I feel like this store is a massive joke. Idahofalls waited and waited for this store to finally come here and it has massively missed the mark. Every time I have gone in they never have what I need. The store is beyond over priced and with limited stock. Walmart has a better selection of gun bags then cabelas does. Every time I have gone in it’s a major disappointment and I walk out wondering why I even wasted my time. The staff our rude and it’s a bother for them to help anyone. I won’t go back

On July 26, 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act became law and requires stores to have handicap accessible entry points. The last 3 times I’ve gone to this store, I’ve mentioned it to employees that their handicap door is not functioning. I was given 1 apology, 1 “not my job” and 1 “corona virus” excuse.100% unacceptable. 100% will not visit again. 100% not getting a penny of my money, online or otherwise.FIX THE DAMN DOOR.
