My daughter recommended me to come here. I had not been to a dentist in many years because the dentist I was going to did not take my insurance. Any dentist in my plan I was not happy with. I never felt like a got a really good cleaning. My daughter told me that I would be very happy with this place and she was right. Jeannie really did an amazing job and I finally found a dentist office that I am extremely happy with. I have already told many people about this place.

I have been coming to this dentist for years and every single time, I never leave disappointed. From the moment I walk in, the receptionists are always super polite, the office is super clean and the dental hygienists are always very patient and very informative. Dr. O’Connor is amazing!! so efficient and joyful. She always takes her time with me and makes sure that I’m comfortable during & after every procedure and ensures that every question I have is answered thoroughly and honestly. I havent been to the dentist in years because the one who I had gone to regularly for my entire life slightly traumatized me by drilling into my nerve. Im horrible with names, but the people who worked here were incredibly kind and explained everything that they were doing throughout the process to make me comfortable.Im actually not nervous to get my fillings for once. Extremely clean beautifully kept office. you can literally smell how clean it is in there. very organized and efficient from the moment you book the appointment to the moment you arrive that day. my hygienist was extremely kind and enthusiastic and passionate about her job. she made the experience one of the most pleasant cleaning experiences i’ve ever had. took the time to answer any and all questions i had thoroughly. very very sweet! and when the doctor came in he also had what felt like an experienced and gentle touch/approach. very mindful of the my level of comfort throughout the procedure which was so important to me. girls at the front desk also very cool! favorite dentist office ever.

My first visit to the Smilist exceeded my expectations. My hygienist Jeannie was superb, she thoroughly explained every procedure and made sure I was comfortable and understood the why behind everything she did. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for dentist.

Dr. Sekada is absolutely great. I had a serious infection a while ago and he took me in on an emergency visit and personally called me several times to check on me. I had to go to specialist but he stayed in touch to make sure I was okay. That is a great Doctor.

Had an issue with my crown from the distant past, along with a couple other produces. Grace O’Connor was great and very accommodating, one visit she allow my 4 year old daughter to come in with me because I had no other choice. She created a memorable experience for her. Overall, I had a good experience here. The work has been pain free and this is really important to me.

Very friendly staff!! The receptionists, hygienist and dentist were top notch! I’ve never had a dentist blow up a an xray of my teeth and explain in detail to me what he needed to do and how important it was to have the work done. All throughout the procedure he asks if I was okay and if I felt any discomfort. This office and staff are nothing like what I was used to in the past! They really are great and I will be referring my family and friends there who are in need of quality dental care.

I had the most pleasant experience with The Smilist Dental in Amityville. This was my first time here and I am absolutely going to come back. Jeanie the hygienist was not only the nicest person, she was gentle during the cleaning, explained everything she was doing, very informative and knowledgeable and made going to the dentist actually enjoyable. Dr. OConnor was just as nice and down to earth and informative. She also went above and beyond accommodating me with a last minute request. The front staff was also very nice. I have been searching for a new dentist for a while because I was extremely unhappy with my previous dental office (and was a patient there for 10+ years). I am so happy I finally changed offices. I would give more stars if I could!

We’ve been patients of Dr. Cekada for years. He’s a wonder dentist. Jeannie is a great hygienist, too!The office has changed a lot in all the best ways. It has been totally remodeled with all new equipment. It’s so clean! I never have a problem making an appointment and we have NEVER waited more than five or ten minutes for my dentist or hygienist!

Dr. Grace OConnor and her assistant are not only professional and caring but they treat your smile as though it was their own. I had a flipper made for a broken tooth and Dr. OConner was not satisfied with the fit or color. They worked as a team until the impression was perfect and they spent extra time to pick the best color. You cant ask for better treatment than you get here.

The staff at this office are wonderfully warm and inviting. I personally do not like going to the dentist but here, I don’t mind. They taught me how to floss and offer tips and advice on how to maintain good dental hygiene. I would highly recommend my friends and family to go to this office for their dental needs.

My dentist of 25 years closed his business and the search for a new dentist began. Hours online reading reviews and I decided to stay local and try the Smilist in Amityville. Good choice!! I couldn’t get to my my regular (wonderful) dentist, and this office was recommended by a dental hygienist I know. I’d needed a cleaning when Covid restrictions started and finally made an appointment, prepared to walk out if protocols weren’t absolutely perfect.Happily, the offices are immaculate and everyone was careful about masking and other safety measures. The receptionists were friendly and efficient; the assistant was fabulous; the Dr. was nice; the hygienist was great and did a good, painless cleaning.I would recommend this office without hesitation!

Its my New home for dental work The entire Team in Amityville Helped me and I am Smiling again ! I have never been to this location. My normal location was bayshore but i needed more than just a cleaning and There unfortunately could not take care of a filling that got dammaged and The earliest they coud take care of me was on my 6 month cleaning Appointment in the book for August 25th at 2:10pm Note i called 2 weeks Eailer ion August 12. when it happened and they said oh your cleaing appointment is on the 25th of August we will see you then 😢 i waited got my teeth cleaned and Dr.Rafiq seen me too busy Seen receptionist gave me appointment fror 29 of September mind you i am leaving for Florida on the 31 of August they said you can try calling to see if we have a cancelation i said i be call you you evey day. next moring Thutsday the Aug 26 call no good got a service said the could get me into North babylon on friday got call from Norh babylon they do not take my insurance. Then I was Talking Yana the receptionist in Amityville they take my insurance She was able to get me in on Monday August 30th At 4:30pm To Have The truly amazing Talanted Hands Dr. OConner & Assistant work on me . Treated me like Like i was a King.Fixed me Right up From this point foward i will be going to this location for all my Dental Needs. Note parking in rear and location is well staffed. 🙌👍❤😁

Im glad to have found this dentist office 2-3(?) years ago on a Google search. I use to be terrified going to the dentist after having a horrible experience when I was a little kid. However, this was not the case because from the first visit the receptionists, and dental hygienists (especially Jeanie and Pamela) have made the experience a pleasurable one. Both of them were sweet and gentle taking care of the teeth as well as informative easy to understand. I dont think Ill ever want to go anywhere else but here for dental care.

I like this place cause there staff is friendly and down to 🌎. Also my dentist OConnor is the best... makes me feel right at home. I would recommend anyone there for dental needs

2nd time here today and at the front desk Desiree, and the dentists o Connor and Jeanie were all such a pleasure. I am not supposed to be afraid of the dentist at my age lol but the experience here has been really great. From talking to me during my procedure, explaining things step by step, and even taking breaks if needed...it all eased my anxiety with getting my teeth taken care of. Im glad I found this dentist and would highly recommend anyone to go here especially if u hate going to the dentist I believe this place could change your mind like it did with me. Customer service means alot to me therefore needed to take the opportunity to acknowledge great service.

I was looking for a dentist closer to where I live, versus headed into the city as I have been for years. I came across The Smilist Dental right here in Amityville, less than 5 minutes from my house and boy I am glad I did. My first visit was sadly an extraction, however it was flawless and I was out in less than 30 minutes. Will be their full time patient now. Looking forward to my normal routine visits with them now. They take my insurance plus have their own very fair plan called- The Smilist One its excellent and keeps it affordable.

I want to leave this review for anyone out there like myself that has an aversion to going to the dentist. From my first phone call to my first appointment everything was a piece of cake to set up, and everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. The hygienist Pamela did an amazing job, was extremely friendly and made the experience a pleasure. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Quite some time ago, I had two teeth on the left side of my mouth that needed crowns. I was financially unable to get them at the time, so Dr. Babeck worked his magic and they have held all this time, even through eating hard crackers and nuts!! I will soon have the money to fix them properly with crowns, and of course I will have Dr. Babeck do the work. He also recently gave me a root canal and crown on the right side of my mouth, for which I now am so grateful . I have also had the most wonderful experiences with the hygienist, Jeanne. She is just so gentle when she scrapes my teeth and so encouraging about brushing and taking care of my teeth. She is also friendly and courteous, an all-around excellent worker. Thank you, Smilist staff!!! I plan to return, time and time again, and refer as many people as I can!!!

Had An AMAZING experience with Doctor OConnor at the Smilest today. I went in with the worst toothache. I started to feel better as soon as she started talking to me. New patient, I was greeted with a smile, very comfortable feeling right from the start. friendly, knowledgeable, experienced assistant. The Dr. was understanding of needs & they make you feel comfortable & give you your information so you understand what needs to be done.

I was very pleased by the staff...Ashley the dental assistant was great...Dr. Connor was great...and the office manager was stern, but professional...I have to wait 😢 for my approval, from Medicaid, before they can do a root canal 😞 ...But, the office was clean, and well run...So...I am recommending, them, at this location, to anyone...

Today was my second visit. First was for routine checkup. Today I needed to see Dr OConnor about a broken crown. Was able to get an appt with her quickly and she repaired it for me. I was thinking the worst but she came through! I love her!! Very professional and pleasant. Office staff is great too. Would def recommend them.

On my last appointment, I had the pleasure of having Jeannie do my cleaning and X-rays. She did a phenomenal job and was very informative with how to better care for my teeth, the different whitening packages offered by the Smilist, and all other questions I had. She also eased my anxieties regarding COVID-19 by following the proper protocol and ensuring that all surfaces that I made contact with were covered. I would highly recommend the Smilist Dental!

My Experience with The Smilist was five star. Very courteous and friendly staff, even among these times of Covid. As for my CLEANING. My hygienist PAMELA, went above and beyond to put me at ease in the chair. The process was as painless and as gentle as It could be, especially with all the work she had to put in to my teeth. I know how nerve-racking it can be for people when they have to go to the dentist and I am no exception. But she took her time to explain everything to me and made me feel completely comfortable in the chair. I walked out with a brighter smile and not dreading my next trip to the dentist. Actually, looking forward to it.

I came here for a second opinion and exam. The staff was really friendly.. I think her name was Roxanne? At the front desk was the absolute sweetest!!! I was looking for a new dentist after having subpar experiences at my last one. I also needed to get a post and crown after an emergency root canal that was done at a different dental office right before Christmas. I found that The Smilist in Amityville was on my insurance’s list of providers and they had good reviews so I figured it was worth a shot. Dr. Bobick (if I spelled his name wrong I’m so sorry) is wonderful. I just had my post and temp crown put in today and the visit was quick and painless. I’m glad I visited them for a consultation and will continue to go to them for regular dental visits.

I had an amazing experience here and if I could give this dental office more than 5 stars, I would! The ladies in the reception area were super nice and friendly. I came in for a dental cleaning/exam and I was in and out of there within an hour. Not only was the service fast but they did everything they could to make you feel comfortable. I was seen by Jeanie who is a fantastic hygienist. She’s professional, knowledgeable and most importantly: caring. Dr. Grace was also fantastic! The Smilist staff is the reason why I will come back for any and all dental services I need from now on.

Went to get a cavity filled today with Dr. Sasha Cekada. Such a pleasant experience. Absolutely painless and really fast too. My appointment was at 9:30am and I was walking out the door by 10am!!!! His staff is also really great!

I appreciated covid protocol. Had emergency and was happy that i could get appointment. Was seen right away upon arrival. X-rays taken and analysis given by dentist, antibiotic prescribed with follow-up appointment.

The attitude of their office manager was disgusting.Was informed 2 days before an appointment that I had scheduled months in advance that I would no longer be served by this office because they were no longer taking my dental coverage.She said if you pay for your visit we can reschedule.During this crisis we are experiencing, a little compassion would go very far.I will never use the Smilist again and encourage others to go to another provider or risk having to find another provider abruptly because they will no longer serve you.

Absolutely worst dentist Ive ever been to. Cancels appointments last minute. Cancelled multiple EMERGENCY appointments I made. Put a temporary filling on a front tooth and left a huge hole in the back of the tooth which causes the filling to fall off. Then refused to do a follow up appointment to fix the mistake they made. Receptionists are rude on the phone and rarely return calls. Cancelled an appointment without even letting me know. Then told me that they cant see me anymore as they wont be accepting my insurance starting the following month. Horrible. They do not care about the well being of the patient.
