Within a week of my grandma being admitted she passed away even though the doctors gave her a longer expectancy. They continued to increase her medicine every day to the point she couldn’t talk and wouldn’t wake up. I believe the over medicating is the reason she passed at the speed she did.

Our mother spent the last week of her life at the Israel Family Hospice House just prior to Christmas 2019. She passed away peacefully and with dignity. The nurses and caregivers were gentle with my mom, monitoring her pain meds regularly and turning her as needed, always aware of her comfort level. Each staff member was 100% professional and seemed very well-trained in the care of terminally ill patients. In addition, they were also very caring to our family, answering our many questions thoroughly, and providing comfortable mattresses so that some of us could stay all night with our mom in her room. We also used the large family rooms to play with grandkids and made use of the kitchenette to store and prepare simple meals. I would recommend this facility and staff without hesitation to anyone who needs hospice services.

It feels like they wish my uncle would die. Had I known they were given a nurse like cindy who doesnt care and mixed messages about whether he has reciebed the medication he needs i wouldve placed him elsewhee. Please dont send your family here to save yourself from further heartbreak.
