This was our experience with this office. They will prescribe medication that will give you heart-attacks and blood clots, then theyll lie to you to make you go to same Dr. that prescribed said medication.Went to Dr. Trout initially tried changing to Dr. Merriman. Apparently someones ego got bruised and decided Dr. Merriman was no longer accepting new patients but you can go back to Dr. Trout who prescribed the medication to begin with.Meanwhile giving my spouse with out knowing a new patient appt. for Dr. Merriman.So you basically do not have a say as to who you see and you better hope the cure isnt worse than the problem.

This place is a joke. Ever since they changed offices and staff, this place went down real fast. The staff there are unhappy and they feel like it’s a burden to do their job.

These people and De. Merriman are evil spawns of satan they could care less whether their patient live or die they care little for patient on hospice and do not know how to handle us type of patients.

Unless you want 1 hour and 45 minute wait times and staff that hates their job look elsewhere. Cant even get a phone call returned after 5 calls.

Im upset because I didnt get a call or letter letting me know that I got a new dr etc. Had a appointment at 3pm. They sent me a link to be on at 3. Was on at 2:48 know one came on. Called at 330. No answer called at 4. They will let them know. Callled at 433 she will call me back. Call at 5:01 I knew they would be closed talked to the on call we will let them know in the morning. This is not right will be looking for a new doctor.

Waiting time over 3 hours for my wife to get in , and thats not the first time they will keep you waiting that Long. Very poor management ,

Ive been trying for 2 weeks to get refills on my medication. Cant get anyone to answer the phone and tried to leave a voicemail but it responds as full.

I went to Dr. Merriman awhile ago. He is compassionate, listens to you, cares about your condition. He helped me immensely. His office staff is efficient and friendly. Thank God there are still doctors like him!!

Finally I have relief!!!! I have been looking for the right doctor for many years and I have finally found THE ONE. Dr Merriman knows his stuff. I am always treated with respect. They always listen. They always answer my questions. Yes they have their rules but they have their reasons. The staff is TOP NOTCH. The best in the panhandle! There is no better!

Dr. Merriman and his staff are well trained in the pain management field. I have been under Dr. Merrimans care since he first started practicing pain management. I have found him and his staff to be very loving, compassionate and caring. When I am in pain, they do everything possible to bring me relief. I highly recommend Amarillo Pain Associates for your pain management needs!

I absolutely adore Dr. Merriman, the two women front of house, and the nurses Ive interacted with. Those individuals deserve 5 stars and are the only things keeping me from giving 1 star.I have had some sad and rather unfortunate events with some of his other staff.That said, I WILL continue to go there bc not only is Dr. Merriman highly respected within his field, but he listens to me, my concerns, and doesnt force anything on me. He treats me as the educated individual I am and respects the fact that I ALWAYS do my research before I come to see him. He is very kind and will do everything he can for his patients. Its so sad that some of his staff many cause so many not to come back because he has significantly helped me!Bottom line, absolutely go to this doctor, but be sure to ONLY see him. And, be prepared to be persistent if you have to deal with the office staff at all.

I have been a patient at Amarillo Pain Associates for several years. I love Dr. Williamson and Tim Marcyes, P.A. I am always treated with respect, and they LISTEN to me. They are good at getting me in, even on short notice. I have had (in the past) 3 epidural steroid injections with great results. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ive been a patient here for several years now. Started seeing David (NP) for fibromyalgia pain and ultimately have added degenerative disc disease to my diagnosis. Im fairly young so I went into seeing David with skepticism that he would not take me and my pain levels serious. Most people my age dont experience the things Im encountering, and other Drs werent very good at listening and understanding. David has done wonders for me. He listens to me and I never feel rushed. I even get advice from him on anxiety and other things unrelated to pain. Hes always attentive, caring, and I truly feel he has my best interests at heart. He played a vital role in helping me decide if surgery for my DDD was the right route to go. I trust him completely!

Dr. Merriman and his Staff always took the best care of me. I highly recommend them.

Not good patient advocates. Too many patients, not enough staff. The staff always seems exhausted and burned out. Often feels like an assembly line. I dont feel safe saying how I feel or asking for help. They can at times feel retaliatory if you disagree with them. When I first started going here 11yrs ago, there was a different doctor and FNP. Dont know the doctor now as Ive not had any injections in several years, but the rest of the staff dont seem very happy to be at work or interested in going out of their way to do anything but the bare minimum. Seems theyre trying to pull care from an empty well.

These people arent very intelligent. They ask for a list of medications youre taking but never check to see if the medications youre taking could be harmful. Almost killed me.STAY AWAY.

Dr Merriman is great. However, the staff is what brings this review down. if i could, i would rate them ZERO. i had called (Thurs) to schedule sppt and the girl told me she would have to send my file back to ? so they could update my insurance and they would give me a call back. they never called me back. i was hurting so bad that weekend i went to hospital for treatment. that didnt help. they referred me back to Merriam. Monday i called merriman office to schedule again. once again. no response they kept sending my calls back to nurse lines and scheduling lines. NOBODY EVER RETURNED MY CALLS. I went to my primary snd asked if they would call and get me an appt. well they got one but it 4 WEEKS LATER . i called merrimans office the next day to see if they could fit me in as emergency. they told me GO TO HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE HURTING THAT BAD. WE ARE OVERBOOKED AND CANT HELP YOU.no sad to say, even as much as i l admire Merriman i cannot tolerate a staff like that.

One star because this is not an option for negative stars. Called to get my medical records that I physically handed the Dr. And they want to change me $25 to send and then lie to me. Saying that it is a violation of HIPAA to send another Drs records to me. Really???

Very unprofessional group. I relocated from anoither state, I chose Amarillo Pain Associates prior to leaving the great care I had received at home for 7 years. I sent all the records and other I do requested as not to run into a situation where my medication would run out before seeing a Dr in my new state of Texas. Assuming everything was handled properly 1 week before running out of medication I get a call froom them stating they need more information. They stated I needed proof any litigation was settled, I explained my accident was 7 years ago and there was never any litigation. Thats when things got strange, they said they needed proof from 7 years ago when my accident happened that the litigation that never happened , never happened or was settled. This confused me because Im not sure how you prove something that didnt happen didnt happen 7 years ago. I went to eree officer and explained to them this new information I can not get will postpone my treatment I had arranged with them a month ago, they didnt seem to care that in 5 days I would be in unbearable pain and likely in the ER. I was told this is why Dr Maryman doesnt like to treat accident victims. COMPLETE DISREGARD for patient care.

1st of all, a member of the staff sent me the wrong new patient paperwork indicating that I was having a procedure (before a consultation), so I fasted, didnt take certain medications for a number of days in preparation for said procedure. When I arrived, I asked girl at front desk (Joey?) if they needed a pre auth from my insurance company for procedure, she said yes. I said Im a new patient, then she got it, gotta have consultation before procedure! My paperwork said my appt time 2:15, when I went to window at 2:40 and asked when it would be my turn, she said your appt is at 2:45, we just want you here 30 mins early😠People with 3:00 appts went before me, AND 3 drug reps went also😠😠😠I waited until 3:40pm and walked out. Unorganized, unprofessional Ill never go back!

Worst place ever!!! This place is so disorganized. They try and get you to pay more than your copay. Horrible horrible people!!!

They are an awesome bunch. They treat you and your pain with respect.

Office staff have told me twice my new patient paperwork was being mailed never have received it have waited a week.
