Very long wait times. There were several times where they had completely forgot to call me in until I went down to the office by myself. Also, every time I called them, I was always told to leave a voice mail that they do not reply to until several days after.

Whoever scheduled an appointment with my mom told her to come at 9, we wait 2 hours with no acknowledgement from any of the staff. As soon as we walk out they told us we had it scheduled for 10:40, when on the phone they told us 9:00. Idk who’s scheduling the appointments but nah that’s just very unprofessional. And they wanna have an attitude when I ask for an update on the wait, I work in a health care facility where if a patient waits longer than 30 minutes, you ask if they are okay, if they need some water, just check up on them here and there. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!

Has to be the most poorly run medical office we’ve ever dealt with. Postponed my husband’s appointment with Dr. Ali for 4 months, and then the day before the new appointment, called to postpone it for 4 more. Patients are clearly not a priority. We have changed to another physician.

My grandmother had a heart attack this morning. The dr sent a nurse to the ER, to tell us he was too busy to come up! If you are hoping for doctors who care, find some where else!

One odd thing about the Amarillo heart group is that although there is a wheelchair entrance on the side of the building there is no button to automatically open the door for disabled people. My wifes cardiologist is Dr Moreau. He is a very good doctor. The reason I give this place only three out of five stars is that every time I bring my wife here we have to wait 3 to 3 1/2 hours just to see the doctor. Part of that time is spent checking in and part of that time is spent in the waiting room. In our last visit we were in the waiting room for 1 hour and 45 minutes. After that they shuffled us into the doctors office and gave my wife an EKG. Then that lady left and another lady came in sometime later to ask more questions. Its been over 3 hours and still no Doctor. He needs to work out the scheduling better. That being said, my wife has no intention of leaving him because she trusts him. So hes a good doctor but the place that he works is something else. Read the reviews. Amarillo Heart Group has lots of bad reviews.

Horrible clinic. Does not schedule appointments properly. When the patient has active insurance they claim they the patient does not and sends the patient home. A self employed patient has to arrange employees to cover duties during their absence Which costs money. They the patient arrived simply to be told an excuse and sent home. When the patient calls their insurance the insurance guarantees that they are active. The patient lost money paying employees that they did not pay and lost time that they could have used elsewhere due to the facilities inability to Schedule properly. Whenever it is the clinics job to get authorization for the scans they forget and then claim that it is the patients fault for having inactive insurance when the insurance is ACTIVE. The manager Letecia or however you spell her name will go to any extent to make sure that the patient is seen to be at fault when the fault is that of the facility. Go to BSA unless you want to waste 2 days where an out of town patient has to take time to drive to Amarillo, set up employees, and lose time at their business and is sent back TWICE due to the clinics inability to do something as simple as schedule properly. Would give 0 stars if possible.6-8-20 updateAfter the manager was rude to my mother and sister during their incorrectly scheduled visit and sent them back VERY rudely, I decided to conclude with the manager rationally about the scheduling issue. She told me “I’m not trying to argue.” Following the rudeness my family and I faced from the manager Dr. Chu decides to send a letter of Patient/Physician termination. Seems that the staff and the at least 1 of the doctors at the group is alright with the staff incorrectly scheduling appointments and with the staff rudely treating their patients. To top it all off the Dr is going to defend his RUDE staff and not even ask the patient what the issue was. My mother nor anyone in my family received a call to further discuss the matter at hand. These people will simply act childish and terminate your patient relationship with them without any further investigation of an issue that a PATIENT of theirs had to face. HORRIBLE CLINIC! At 1st I thought it was simply the staff that was incompetent but it seems that the doctors will defend that incompetency. Truly pitiful this place is.

Not a happy camper. My semi adopted son is 21 and has a family history of heart problems. Tilt table results were the worst ever. He passed out in 1.26 minutes. Two days ago they wanted to call an ambulance since his blood pressure is all over the place. He passed out driving his car reaching down for his badge and totaled it. Now Dr. Ali is telling him compression socks and water. Really? I’ve never seen him without water in his hand. Do they even care if he lives or dies? He’s 21!

I was unfortunate enough to cross paths with AHG in March 2019.My Dr was Nambiar. After 3 months of medication dosage mistakes and no forward movement with my treatment, I decided to see another Dr. AHG was very angry I moved. Sent me a registered letter stating that I had ignored their recommendations and would no longer treat me. They did absolutely nothing for me in three months and 5 visits. I had slow heart rate 26 bpm and had gained 30 lbs in 3 months. Nambiar said the weight was not an issue...REALLY!I contacted the billing department and warned them I was submitting their charges for fraud review by my insurance. Overcharges were customary. I received yet another registered letter threatening me... “ it would be in your best interest to not submit charges for review. We have issued a negotiated discount to services. If you submit we will back charge you for the discounts.”That threat tells me and everyone who reads this that they are indeed guilty of fraud. Charge me...I reached my deductible. My new Dr has diagnosed me with Sick Sinus Syndrome and May Thurner Syndrome a vascular disorder responsible for the weight. I am feeling wonderful with my pacemaker and angioplasty. Losing a pound per day.Dr Neelagaru saved my life which Dr Nambiar could not

I love my Cardiologist Dr. Marcus Moreau. Hes so nice and really cares about his patients. Great personal every department Ive ever seen. I dont recommend Dr. Chin though. He didnt help my uncle at all and wouldnt give him any pain medicine in the Hospital 🏥 or for home. He wasnt a drug addict either, just had a lot of pain from what Dr. Chin did to him. Stints shouldnt be so painful. I know several family members who have had them & their Dr.s didnt withhold pain medication then or now.

Good luck with Dr. Cabrera. I can’t say anything about the rest of the doctors at the heart Group but his staff and communication are the worst!!!!! No one knows anything EVER, if the Dr does something at the hospital the hospital nurse does not communicate with the clinic and nothing gets documented.I talked to one of his clinic nurses and she said that the hospital nurse does not always communicate everything with the clinic and thats just the way it was! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! So if the patient needs something they dont know anything and thats supposed to be OK? And then they try to blame things on the patient saying that the patient cancelled the appointment when it was the doctor that cancelled the appointment. No one is aware! And if you have paperwork like FMLA, good luck! since no one knows anything ur paperwork will be delayed or denied. And to make matters worst, the doctor ended up lying on the form, saying that he never prescribed any medicine when he did, saying that he was not referring the patient to another doctor and that the patient did not have any follow up appointments this is negligence to the highest level, it’s the heart and lives of the patients that are at stake!Needless to say we switched doctors

My husband had some vein procedures done. Very clean building, well decorated, the staff in the vein department were second to none. Waiting room was very comfortable. Our vehicle started having severe problems due to hitting a wild pig. So our car had to be towed to the body shop. We were trying to figure out what to do bc we didn’t have a car and were stranded at The Hesrt Group.A nurse with a very large heart actually gave us a ride to a local restaurant for us to wait for a friend come get us as we were 90 miles from home. She was so sweet and helpful. Thank you Yvonne. A true angle.

I have gone their for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Dr. Moreau is wonderful. Im just not crazy about Dr. Ray or Dr. Chen. Chen was my uncles Cardiologist and my uncle was in so much pain when he would be in the Hospital and Chen doesnt believe in pain medicine. My uncle wasnt a druggie, so if he said he was in pain he was. He scheduled testing for the week after his last Hospital stay, had he scheduled the testing for the week or two before my Uncle Johnny might not have passed away in January 2017. Do not see Chen, but they have several other wonderful Cardiologist and I just love Dr. Moreau, he has taken fantastic care of me for over 10 years.

If I could put zero stars I wouldGood Luck getting Dr. Haddads nurses to call you back. It took a month and a half for Dr. Haddads nurses to call me back for refills for my dad. Even after they called they sent the RX to the wrong pharmacy and it still took 10 phone calls in one day, speaking to the office manager Laquetta (see her reviews), and the nurse manager to get it sent to the right pharmacy. They scheduled his follow up, cancelled and rescheduled it with out notifying us, he was going to be out of medication once again. When my dad was able to see Dr. Haddad, I explained to him my dad is self pay, Dr. Haddad basically said pay or dont come see me. I do not recommend this place at all!

I had an appointment at 8 AM. I have had three other 8AM appointments and they tell you to be early and you sit in the parking lot. My last appointment was at 8 got there right at 8 and waited for Dr. Ray until 8:45 and then was called back and then sat for another 45 minutes in the room and finally I got up and left after waiting a month and a half for my results. I STILL do not have results. The staff is rude told me that We are busy. I am busy too and if I have an appointment at 8 I should not be sitting there waiting for the Dr. at 9:30. Very poor planning and no respect for your patients time. YOUR time is NOT more important than mine.

Very Disappointed ....I had been seen had some test done been there awhile. I had a stress test, Heart Cath, Sonogram ect and all test were stood no problems he said. My pharmacy sent a refill request for my Blood pressure meds I and then I got a call from the nurse for Dr. Haddad saying I didnt have an appointment set up so they couldnt refill.I said I will follow up with my primary Dr since she had been managing my Blood pressure meds before.Next thing I know I get a letter telling me that I can no longer go to Amarillo Heart Group or any of their Drs. WOWBecause I said I will follow up with my primary Dr. Remember all my test were good but in the letter Dr. Haddad says my Medical Condition requires continuing Physicians Supervision. So I called and the other nurse said this is what we do if you dont want to see us( which I never said). They should tell you if you dont want to make an appointment or follow up you will be terminated or let go.I would of made an appt.I will no longer refer anymore family or friends here if you cant be upfront and honest of what would happen if you dont want to make an appointment.Very Very Sad.

The staff and Dr is the worst.....waited an hour to get called back and that is with an appt. Then was told can only have one person go back in the room and there was only 2 of us going back. It is not stated anywhere in that office about limited people to go back with the pt and that needs to be posted if the Dr wants it that way. The nurses states because the Dr. had emergency caths to do but what does that have to do with anything. Every time I have come the wait is ridiculous and once you r back in the room you still have to wait at least 30 mins to see the dr and then the dr only spends 10 to 15 mins with you.....it should always be about pt satisfaction and maybe he shouldnt book so many pts in a day so he can have that of satisfaction

This Heart group Clinic is the worse I have ever seen in my life. I took one of my family member went to this clnic after one month appointment. Than when we were there seat in the waiting room for over an hour . I said it to myself I better check back the front desk cause why my name not call. The front desk lady said to me sorry her mistake forgot put my name on the system that why I was waiting so long. Thereafter I came in the room the nurse bring out the KG machine put few stickers on my chest not even two minutes and then she said it done then she told me wait for the doctor . After the nurse left the room for about another 20 minutes then the doctor came in not even said Hi. He not even used the ear listen to check my heart sound etc. Anyway he asked me what make you come here today for. And I told him exactly what I was told to the nurse. Then the doctor spent his time to look in the computer for couple minutes then he told me come back next time to run on the machine so he will find out what happens to my heart. So he said to me go back to the front desk make appointment come back next time February 14/2022. .PS: This Clinic is Rob Insurance companies need to investigate for scams and cheating.
