Dr Whetten is very honest person. He is there to help people, I absolutely loved the his staff, Brittney is the hygienist who cleaned my teeth, she definitely made the appointment pleasant for me. I highly recommend them.I need some work done on my teeth and I am looking forward to it.

Excellent in every aspect from making appointment to services provided. Staff is professional and client oriented. Theresa, the hygienist I was assigned, did a terrific job. I especially like that the practice uses modern water spray method for cleaning instead of the old pick and scrape. Dr. Whetten is just like his picture leads you to think he will be - completely down-to-earth and tells you exactly what you need; and, more importantly, dont need done. Every charge is explained in advance, discounts are given to seniors like myself who no longer have dental insurance, and no unnecessary services are advised. I went as a new patient for a cleaning. It took an hr and half for everything. Not terrible, but not great. Then I was charged for something extra that I wasnt told about during the process. Which seems funny, because they didnt do anything that my previous dental office didnt do, and I never had to pay extra for a cleaning before. All this with the same insurance plan and coverage Ive had for 3 years.

I have always hated the dentist. The ones I have been to have always made me feel awful. I went to to this office today. They were kind, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend them!

They were all extremely friendly and professional. What so really liked was that the dentist and the hygienist don’t just tell you what they see and what needs to be done, but they take pictures of what they see and show you what they are looking at. Could not have been happier, even though I found out I need a crown! 😁

My first visit went well. The facility is very nice and they have pride in their cleanliness. Appeared to have top of the line equipment and programs to serve well. All staff was very kind and helpful. Dental Hygienist, Brittany, was incredible and walked me through every step with new tips for teeth health. I give only 3 stars because the rooms were not sound proof and I could hear the discussions going on next to me. I prefer to have a more confidential setting with my doctor. I am also a coward and need all the calming agents to get me through a procedure. Dr. Whetton doesn’t cater to ones like me. He does not use gas to help calm nerves. A numbing shot won’t be enough for my needs. His expertise and care was top knotch and wasn’t questioned at all. He isn’t the right fit for me but worth trying.

Friendly staff and quality cleaning, but they charged me for what should have been a free cleaning. I questioned the charge, but was told its because it was a deep cleaning. However, I didnt request nor was I asked about it. The first time I went it was free with my insurance, so Im not sure why it wasnt on my next visit. If they are going to charge extra for cleanings they need to inform patients prior to checking out. I pay for dental insurance specifically to get my cleanings and x-rays covered. If I knew there would be a surprise extra charge I would have used a different dental office.

BEST experience at a Dentist that I have ever had! I had an old crown fall out. I decided to try this place out. I was totally amazed at the process. At other places, when they would put a crown on, it never fit right. They would take it off, work on it, put it back on, grind your teeth on the carbon like sheet, take it off and repeat over and over until it would work. Dr Whetten put that crown on and it was perfect the first time! The staff is so friendly. I wish I had found Windmill Dental a lot sooner!

Very impressed with the entire office, the staff, and the technology. It was so cool seeing everything on a big screen TV and having it explained to me. He removed a permanent retainer for me. He was super quick and skilled. It feels like it was never there. My teeth feel so clean and amazing. Most importantly my young children who were very nervous left with huge grins and light hearts. Amazing!! For sure a 5 star impression. Highly recommend!

Today I went to an EXCEPTIONAL dental office, Windmill Dental!!!! This office is very interested in building a foundation of trust by treating you as a special individual. From the very beginning of my appointment I could totally tell this is their standard of care and Dr. Whetten and his amazing Dental Assistant Ray made me feel that I totally deserved every bit of it. I was seen today for a Limited Exam for a tooth that has been giving me so much agony!!! They used some of the coolest equipment/technology to provide a very thorough exam and were genuinely concerned for my dental health! Dr. Whetten gave me several options and spoke to me as if I was family. Windmill Dental made every effort to see and care for me this morning, but due to my schedule I needed to make my appointment a week out. BUT..... this is what really sealed the deal for me...Windmill Dental has appointments available at 7 am and until 7 pm!!!!! WOW how amazing is that for all of us that have busy schedules!!!! I cannot say enough of how amazing Windmill Dental is and ALL the staff!!! Im so fortunate to have finally found a dental practice in Amarillo that is truly invested in my dental health!!!!!!!!

They take the time and effort to explain everything, answer any questions, and offer help for PREVENTATIVE CARE! I was so shocked and ecstatic.Most dentists (Ive visited) just fill cavities as they come, and passively comment about flossing. I thought my teeth and gums were simply too far gone to fix. But in my first visit here, they showed that they cared.The cleaning was far better than any cleaning Ive had in the past, taking the time they needed to do it right. They took twice as many x-rays than most, making sure they didnt miss a thing. They recommended and explained options that I didnt even know existed.Ive bragged to friends and family, letting them know I found THE dentist, not exaggerating. I have been so pleased with my experience here, and I would recommend them to anyone. So happy I found them.

With little or no time in the waiting area, I was immediately taken back to the room for my every 6month cleaning. The Hygienist was very thorough at explaining what was going on and why. Dr. Whiten then came in and went over in detail my treatment plan, allowing me plenty of time to ask questions or obtain clarification. I have recommended this practice to many of my family friends who are extremely impressed as well.
