My toe nails look great!... from far away. I went with my mom and friend.I have three complaints:-My nails look fantastic from far away... but the woman who did them did not cover the entire nail.-They were very expensive for their cheapest option! Overpriced.-A product they used made me break out, start swelling, and got hives all over my feet. I do have very sensitive skin, so I dont blame them too much for it, but I do wish they had a sensitive skin option.Over all, it wasnt too bad, but it definitely could be a lot better!

Got my nails done here last week; really happy with my experience! I was a walk in but it didnt take them too long to get to me, which was awesome. Amy did my Mani/pedi and I will definitely be going back. She was very careful with the cuticles on my nails because I bite them; Everywhere Ive had my nails done before they werent careful at all and it hurt. Thank you, Happy Nails!

This was the worst shellac manicure I have ever had. Not only did I pay 20 dollars more than I ever have for the same service at other nail spas, but my nails all chipped and some even coming completely off the next day. When I went in to get them fixed the ladies said they might not even be better once they fix them and might not be able to fix them today. Very unimpressed with the service. Will not ever be going back.

I came here like a week and a half ago and called and said I needed a FILL from my current full set w gel polish. I then, went in and told the guy who was doing my nails TWICE that it was just a fill. I seen him start clipping my nails and made sure he was only doing a fill, he said yeah. Service is over, he took off all my nails and re did them all, didn’t do the shape I even asked THEN charged me $56. Ive never paid thag for a full set in my life. Not to mention it was only supposed to be a fill. I didn’t even say anything when he rang me up because I was so livid. I will never go here again though. If you can’t speak fluent enough English to understand the words FILL, you shouldn’t be doing people’s nails. Ask questions, don’t assume. Will never be back.

Happy Nails sure made me happy about my visit today. Came in with a friend as she is a regular and she has been suggesting us two should go to have our nails done together so we did. I am actually a little impressed with the way they run their business, really care about their customers experience. Staff is very nice and professional. Techs are very skillful and easy to communicate with. I had a spa pedicure and manicure. The lady showed me their great selection of good quality products and beautiful colors to choose from. The pedicure felt really great and my nails now look fantastic as she took her time to make sure everything is right. The shaping is perfect just how I want it. The place is clean and well organized. We did have our quality time together. Price is very reasonable. I really wish there is a place like this near where I live so I could come more often. Highly recommended !!!

All the employees are super nice and professional. Jessica has been doing my nails for months and she is marvelous. Shes awesome at nails, pedicures and waxing. I highly recommend her. Its a great place and I love going there. They even treat you to a mini massage.

Best nail salon Ive been to for sure! Jessica is AMAZING! Ive never had an acrylic nail break or chip and she always makes sure Im happy with the shape and color. She also has stayed open late to finish my nails and never rushes through. I live 30 minutes away from the salon but it is well worth the drive! I refuse to go anywhere else. Please give my girl Jessica a try, you wont be disappointed!

One of the best nail salons I have ever been to. I tend to try new places and look for good ones wherever I go so I know what to expect from a decent place. Everything is just right. Good customer service. Techs are just way over qualified for the job. They use good quality products and have a great set of beautiful colors to choose so I doubt anyone wouldnt have their favorite color here. The place is clean and well organized. Price is super reasonable considering what you would get to come here. Highly recommended !!!

Kathy provided us with terrible customer service. A friend of mine was getting her nail fixed and then started talking about her in a different language to the lady doing nails next to her. Then my other friends and I were standing around my friends chair and one of them wanted to look at the nail color palette so she asked to see it and Kathy yelled at her and the male worker because my friend wanted to look at it. Kathy is rude and has a terrible attitude. I do not recommend coming here at all

Havent been there yet. I was looking at reviews to find a place for my granddaughter and me to get pedis.I dont often let other peoples opinion dictate what I do but this will be the exception. When many of the complaints are basically for the same problems, Ill pass. Also, when I see an owner or manager make excuses for poor service and, in this case, suggesting the customer was wrong and that people should EXPECT bad service. If your business does not treat walk-ins in same way as appointments, dont take walk-ins. At the very least, that would help you a lot more than the reviews of being rushed, being hurried, and having no conversation with staff. Pretty simple.I see one time you said if the customer had made you aware of a problem, youd have made it right. Lots of complaints; no more offers of making it right, only telling people thats the way it goes.Its not the way it goes everywhere. Ill keep looking for another place.

Cant believe that this salon does the perfect fill set for me for a good reasonable price. I came in and the were very welcoming.  They did an amazing job on filing and filling my nails. It was really amazing experience. They were really professional and i feel very happy when i leave with such great results! They fix corrections without any hassle it is amazing experience. Recommend to anyone!

Had somebody new. I asked for a drawing on ring fingers. Two colors all of that. But they turned out really good. Got super busy before i left but i still saw them working together to get everyone in and started so nobody was waiting.. good team work...

First time at Happy Nails- I walked in on a Tuesday night an hour before close. I was greeted then high pressured into buying the hand dip even after I explained I didnt want to try it today. I chose a shellac manicure. My nail techs name was Emily. She was very annoyed with me the entire time and didnt make me feel comfortable at all, so much that the customer next to me picked up on her attitude. She was rude to me for not doing the nail dryer properly and said it wasnt working because it was my fault for moving my hand too much. She made no effort to be friendly or personable. The other nail techs were making light conversation and were patient and gentle with their clients which I did not feel Emily made any effort to do for me. I honestly should have just left as soon as I walked in but I thought I would give her a chance. Although amazingly, I think my nails turned out very well, but unfortunately the entire experience left me with a bad memory. It is my recommendation that Emily could benefit from customer service training. Im hoping that this review will prompt that to happen!!

I just went here for the first time, the lady who did my nails hardly said anything to me. When she did talk to me she pressured me into getting a more expensive nail polish so i could “leave faster” and made snotty remarks about me biting my nails. I gave in and told her to do the same color in the more expensive polish and i ended up with a different color. I left the salon with said nail polish on the skin around my finger. She never asked me what shape I’d like my nails to be and i ended up leaving with nails I hate, not only are they not the color or shape I wanted, but they are also crooked. I would recommend looking at ANY other salon.

I went to this salon with my mom and we were supposed to get matching nails and they gave my mom total different color and then I got acrylic and they gave me the wrong shape and length and they charged my mom $ 40 more then it was supposed to be and they were just not professional and they kept pointing and laughing at us

Good Atmosphere, nail tech did a great job. My nails werent completely dry when I left. It was close to closing time, so I felt rushed. Another tech checked my nails and said I was good to go. They were not dry, I got to my car and the polish got messed up on my thumb. Might go back earlier in the day, to give adequate time for my nails to completely dry.

I went here for the first time with one of my friends because our regular nail place was closed for a family reunion. We both got a shellac manicure. My coworker and I both experienced bleeding on our fingers. At first we thought that the manicure was decent, but it has been less then a week and both of our nails are already chipping. I will not be going back to this establishment.

A friend and I randomly selected Happy Nails out of several options available in Altoona. We both have had experience with other companies but wanted to try something ‘local’. Happy Nails Customer service was lacking and we were disappointed. We won’t be ‘choosing’ them again. (Nor recommending to others)Details - We did not feel the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting....we were rushed to choose nail color; only conversation from employees to us was pressure to upgrade pedicure/more $; Neither employee smiled, greeted or even talked to us during pedicure. Simple Questions were not answered; etc.

I came here for waxing and was very happy with my experience.With such a friendly staff they have here. I was greeted upon arrival was very friendly and considerate and the waxing was one of the quickest, most thorough and pain-less I have had. The atmosphere and the interior of the place is lovely, and I have already booked my next appointment and would strongly recommend it going to Happy Nails!

I have a very picky teenager and Tom was very patient and did an amazing job. Very satisfied with his work. We will be back.

Went in to get a pedicure with my brother and we had to wait an hour and a half, they kept telling us it would not be very much longer. When they finally got to our pedicures they seemed rushed. By the time we left it had been hours and the results were not that great. My feet are still rough and my nails did not look as good as they could have. They were polite but did not talk to me nor did they apologize/offer a deal for patiently waiting. Will not be going back.

I went here with my mom for her first ever pedicure. She had no idea what to do and nobody talked to her about anything. The younger gals doing our nails were very OBVIOUS in that they were talking about us. It was a very uncomfortable experience for us both. I’ve never been to a nail salon where the staff was so rude... when I tried to make conversation the lady just kept saying she was tired and wanted to go home. Won’t be returning...

I just had my pedicure and dipping Saturday. The staff are very rude and they talked Vietnamese language so loud in salon.The man did my dipping so rude. He tried hurry on my nail and mostly of My dipping nail color chipped off in next day. They did terrible job of my pedicure. This my second time but still not happy place at all. No come back and no recommend anybody.

I had been going there for awhile. After the last pedicure I got where the dug out a ingrown toe nail which is not there job to do. I paid for shelac that peeled off in less then a month and it didnt cover my whole nail. Then after my last nail fill where I had to yet have another nail replaced and the owner nicked 2 of my nails and they got once infected because she was in a hurry. I still have a sore spot and cant get my nails filled yet. Plus nails where uneven and left the sides sharp where I ended up cutting things. I had to file myself. Wont be going back. They dont listen and are in to much of a hurry. Dont practice safe procedures.

Jessica has been my nail tech for at least 10 years. She gets my eyebrows waxed perfectly and makes sure my hands and feet are taken care of. My schedule doesnt always allow me to have much flexibity with my appointments but Jessica is quick to adjust her schedule and stay late or come in early to meet my needs. Its rare to find that kind of customer service and personal satisfaction. Thank you Jessica youre like one of the family!

Me and my friend got our nails done a little less than 2 weeks ago and 3 of her nails have completely broken off, and most of mine and her nails are starting to lift off the nail at the tops and sides. We have both had our nails done over the years and have never had them go bad this fast. They should last at least 3 weeks. Its barely been 2.

Happy nails is a relaxing and professional atmosphere.It can get busy at prime times so plan for that.Even when they are busy they dont short cut and rush through your nails which I appreciate.Brenda Miller

They dont always do the best with pedi... even when asked to scrub more where needed. I went home and finished what she didnt understand. Nails are nice but this place does not have Alot of options for gel nails. And they are not very creative..

Called in at 7:15 pm and they close at 8:00 pm. They were willing to see me at 7:20 pm. They didnt rush the service and she did an awesome job on my feet! Ive never had any bad service from there. I live approximately 30-45 mins away and this is the only place I would go to. Very friendly people and is well worth the drive. Thanks.

They atmosphere of the place was very poor. Two of the employees were eating and on their phones, they didn’t have any money in the drawer for change..and one of my nails paint has already gotten messed up..I’m not sure if I’ll return to this place.

The lady that did my daughters nails said a Childhood Cancer Ribbon was too excessive, and that she did not want to put it on her nails. She was very rude and unprofessional towards my daughter.

The staff that helped me was very rude, she rolled her eyes when I hadnt picked out my dip color after 3 minutes of looking. When I asked her any question, her response was short and snippy, I finally had enough of this treatment & wanted to know why I was being treated so rudely and asked her if she was having a bad day today? Her reply was more eye rolling and she responded that they were trying to close as it was close to 5 pm & she was ready to go home, so I replied oh ok so you just want to hurry up and get me out of here, so you can leave, I see, she never even replied and just told me to hold on a minute, shed be right back, then she shuffled me to another person to have my dip nails done, the new nail tech asked me if wanted to change the polish on my toes and I replied no , the other tech was very rude to me and made it clear that yall are trying close so Im not trying to do anything extra. Only the 2nd time Ive ever been in there , 1st time was over a year ago for a pedicure, and I will never go back nor recommend anyone I know EVER go to this place. No one deserves to be treated like that no matter what especially when theyre spending money in your business. I work hard for my money , and Im a mother of 5, I pamper myself with getting my nails and pedicures to relax and unwind but when the customer service is terrible ,they make you feel like a burden, and their work is just okay, Ill take my hard earned money else where and give it to business owners and their employees who treat people with respect that come into their business. Happy Nails was NOT a happy place, I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there.

They were OK they did do a great job they don’t talk to you much so it was a little awkward just sitting there in silence with you. She did ask few questions but I did like my nails and was happy no pun intended with the results I would definitely come here again as my back up nail place when my people are not in town.

I have been a customer of Happy Nails for 9 years now, I have always gone and seen whomever was available. This past January I sat with Yen. She is now who I prefer. I have very dry heels and have always been embarrassed by them. She is the first one there in 9 years who has never made me feel embarrassed by my dry feet. She suggest some things to me however she always ensure I feel beautiful when I leave and never pressures me to buy items to help my feet. Because of Yens caring personality I now come every other week and never feel like I am the client no one wants. Thank you Yen, you are amazing!!!

I had a great mani-pedi this morning, and wanted to add my voice to those who recommend Happy nails. I was fortunate enough to get a walk-in appointment first thing, but they seemed quite busy, so I recommend calling ahead for appointments. I met several of the tech, all of whom were friendly and welcoming. A perfect balance here. All in all, a very pleasurable experience.

I went to the nail salon with my mom and they immediately asked us to pick our colors. My mom had a nice woman who did a good job with her nails, but the woman who did my nails made half of my fingers bleed profusely and my fingers became infected soon after. I also had nail polish on my skin, not just my nails, and had cotton stuck in my nail polish as well as little air bubbles that formed after she painted them. I have been having to put hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic cream on my hands to help my fingers that are extremely red and sore. I will not be going back.

I was in there on Valentines Day, even the techs mentions how slow it was. The gal who did my pedi was fantastic, after that the whole visit went down hill, I had put on and powder dipped my nails. They had non of the colors I chose. I ended up having to pick something I would never wear, it was rush, rush, rush. The nail tech finished my nails no thanks you nothing picked up her phone and left after only saying dry 3 minutes. Thankfully I looked my nails over. There was a huge bump in my pinkie nail. I asked for it to be fixed, another tech comes over fixed it and it now looks like none of the rest of my nails. 2 other tech come over to check them out, 1 being the gal who did my pedi, she was concerned about how all of my top coats looked I am assuming the manager jumped in and fixed my nails. She never spoke a word to me and was rude. The end result is needless to say awful. For 5 years I have traveled 40 miles 1 way to go to Happy Nails, they are who I recommended to everyone. When you spend over $100 you expect some respect and decency. Neither of what was shown from 3 or the 4 techs trying to fix my messy nail situation that now looks even worse cause the put top coat on and pooled in between my nail and skin and chipped off and now my top coat on my nail looks awful. I wish I had the options to post pictures of my end results.

I took my 11 and 4 year old daughters here for their first-ever pedicure experience. At the same time I was getting a fill and was unable to guide my children through the experience. I found out my 11 year old was in a chair that had a massager but she didnt know how to use it and no one told her about it, she felt like the lady was irritated because she didnt know what to do and said she was very unfriendly and told me that no one even talked my four-year-old through the experience and seemed like they were just trying to get us out of there. The lady who I was sitting with I kept trying to talk to and she didnt talk back hardly at all and didnt seem happy when she was and sighed a lot while she was doing things. I paid $100 and left being very sad that my daughters first experience was at a place that was not welcoming or friendly & seemed like they wish we just werent there. Also, the lady got me really good with one of the Sanders clear through to my skin and it burns really bad when she put on the acrylic and I asked if the burning would go away and she didnt even answer me and then said what is burning and I said where the drill got me and she just said oh. My fingers are still burning in several spots and I paid extra for the nail polish she said that would last longer but she didnt even cover my old French tips on some of the sides of my nails. I am just very disappointed and sad. I tried to be friendly and even tip but that doesnt take away the fact that it was a horrible experience and I hate that that was the first experience for my kids

Terrible service! My nail tech was Emily, she was on her phone half the time . I tried to make small talk and she would barely respond. I went in to get a pedicure and gel manicure. I have never been there for gel manicure before so I didnt know where the UV light was. She got an attitude with me when I didnt know where to stick my hands after she had applied the polish. I seriously just wanted to get up and leave. I was so uncomfortable.. Easily regretted spending my $60 there.

The work was pretty ok. The lady who did mine spent a lot of time talking to her friend and not moving her hands.

I went here and got a shellac manicure (which is supposed to last 2 weeks). In only 3 days, my nails were NOT “happy”. The shellac was peeling off. I called and a guy named Luke was very nice and said to come in and they would fix them for free. I went in the next day (Luke wasn’t there, it was all women). They were blaming me for the shellac to be chipping this early. The lady who did my nails fixed them in a very quick rush. She barely filed them, and now they’re uneven. She was rude and rough with my hands, and I could tell she didn’t want to be fixing my nails. They do not look very decent. I still feel like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Right before leaving, a lady sat down next to me and was talking about how her dipped nails needed fixed already. If I could rate this less than 1 star, I would’ve. NEVER go here. WASTE OF MONEY.

A customer that I had just met at Happy Nails sitting next to me paid for my 35 dollar bill which wasnt nessasary but A very kind gesture thank you so much Mam, I was so shaken by this kind gesture that I forgot to ask her name! I was so uncomfortable letting a total stranger pay for my nails, I didnt even know that she did that until after. like I said her heart was in the right place, but just felt wrong to let her do something like that!!! Its something Ill never forget!!! I would definetly reccommend Happy Nails, a very nice salon with staff who are great at doing nails and The customer service is fantastic as well!!!

I LOVE Happy Nails! I wont let anyone else touch my nails and havent for the last couple years! I always just walk in and get great service every single time, no matter who I get. I work in health care so they understand I cant have sharp edges and shape my nails perfect everytime. They stand behind their work and will fix any issues that pop up in the week or so following your mani, zero questions asked! I can bring them any design and theyll match it everytime. Several people a week say they love my nails and ask where I go. I proudly tell them Happy Nails in Altoona! Sometimes there is a wait, so if youre on a time crunch I suggest making an appt ahead of time. Me...Im just happy to be off my feet and will wait in their big comfy chairs. If youre in the area (time at adventure land, bass pro, state fair, etc) and looking for a spa day or to just relax after being on your feet all day, I HIGHLY suggest this nail salon!

It had been three years since I had tried this place and it has not improved! They are pushy and wont give up on making you get a more expensive service than you want. I left with the worst pedicure I have ever had, polish on my skin, nails are cut crooked, only 1 coat of polish, no top coat and no leg or foot massage. To top it off it was the top pedicure that cost 15.00 more!!!Wont be going back.

Great people but they nicked up my middle nail really bad but I didn’t really want to say anything because I thought they’d offer to fix it after paying $53.
