I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out. I was super nervous lady name Georgia was wonderful keep me calm and she was very kind. On top that Dr. Schlott was amazing took him 20 minute got all my 3 wisdom teeth out. It was very painless!! I highly recommend this place to anyone!!

I was nervous, and everyone went out of their way to make me feel very comfortable. I truly appreciate the kindness and reassurance before, during, and after the procedure. It made a world of difference to me. And I’m on the day after surgery with almost no pain. I wish you could be my regular dentist. Thank you so much!

I have had multiple procedures performed by Dr. Schlott. His impressive bio drew me to his office and I have been very pleased with his skill and expertise. He and his staff have always been very courteous and professional and appear to have state of the art equipment in a very clean facility. Really appreciate too that I could fill out and submit most of the paperwork online before my appointment.

This facility has wonderful, kind, and personable staff. My husband and I both got our wisdom teeth removed a day apart. His surgery was done at the Alton location and mine was performed at the Edwardsville location. Most of the staff was the same from the 2 different days and they were all fantastic. They even remembered our decision to do the surgeries back to back and multiple staff members checked in on how he was recovering before starting my surgery. The Alton locations lobby is more spacious and comfortable in comparison to the Edwardsville location but since the staff is mostly the same the care was still impeccable at both.

Pretty great experience! I was able to get in and out. Facility is super clean and inviting! I will say that staff isn’t overly kind. To put it in lame terms, I feel like they have to warm up to their patients before giving super awesome treatment. Not that big of a deal but it is something to keep in mind.

Wonderful experience. Dr. Hammon explained everything in detail and made sure I knew every step of the procedure. He gave me other options as well and allowed me to choose which I felt was the better option for me, he never tried to pressure me one way or another.

I had a very positive experience when I visited to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. During the consultation I had before the procedure, Dr. Schlott and staff went through the plan for the surgery with me and made sure I would be able to have IV sedation. The day of the procedure went extremely smooth and, after following all the post procedure instructions, I feel wonderful. Thank you to all staff for helping me get my smile back on track! I had a technical error (my fault) and am unsure if my comments were properly transmitted and documented. So, for fear the positive experience I had is not recorded, I’m doing this, again. Dr. Schlott and his staff have that perfect balance between professional seriousness and personable calm. It is necessarily a sterile environment with highly educated and trained personnel that could easily become intimidating. Nonetheless, the “team” shows such interest in the patient as a person that the seriousness that is always present is covered with care and concern that allows relaxation without intimidation. I was and remain amazed with the painless procedure that included an extraction. The natural pain that followed has been minimized by following sensible and simply worded patient instructions given both verbally by a nurse and in writing. It is not often that one is seen by someone one as brilliant and kind as Dr. Schlott, a medical doctor AND a dentist. However, with all his experience and expertise, I suspect he would be the first to tip his hat to a great staff. Everyone was wonderful. I happen to remember only two names. Take a look at the other low star reviews and you’ll see their true colors. The office staff (particularly Amanda and David) are extremely rude. They act as if they can treat customers however they want without repercussions. You would think a business would make sure their employees are equipped with basic customer service skills and an inkling of compassion, but I guess those days are gone, at least for this place. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment somewhere else and you’ll save yourself a headache. There’s a reason this place can get you in faster than others. It’s because most people would only use this place as a last resort. Who wants to use a place that employs people that clearly only care about collecting a paycheck and the bottom dollar they’re getting from a customer? The owner of this place needs to re-evaluate who’s working for them before it’s too late.

The doctor and staff were great. I had a couple of wisdom teeth extracted with only minor discomfort. It didnt slow me down at all afterwards and still feel fine 3 days later. My daughter has been there before, and they did a great job with her too.

Implant procedure went well, but I should have know if I would be awake or not beforehand. Was told twice I would be put out but was not. Made a difference to me.

Abcess tooth 10+ years, had it pulled (abstract by a dentist in TX) and had to deal with a BONE infection for just over a year by the time I got to this place. NOT even a joke, cried like a baby ear/sinus and jaw infection when I went in (on antibiotics) and this team delt with it and saved my freaking LIFE. NOT JOKING. The initial consultation went very quickly. All pertinent information was reviewed and then the surgeon examined the issue. A treatment plan was developed and an appointment scheduled.

Affordable, compassionate team, smooth process on day of surgery.

I went in for my initial consultation on 05/14/21. The entire staff from scheduling, billing, the surgical assistance team and Dr Schlott was outstanding. The practice is nice, clean and state of the art. Safe work practices for the patient as well as the staff are in place. I returned the following Friday 05/21/21 to have my lower rear left and right molar extracted. Again the entire staff at Bi-State was outstanding. I was given a topical numbing before Dr Schlott came in. He administered the novocaine and i didnt even feel a little pinch. After it took effect the precedure was completed in a few minutes. There was no discomfort what so ever and i felt i was in good care. I highly would recommend Bi-State Oral and Facial Surgery and would return for there services if needed.

They were very kind and got an appointment for me squeezed in early when I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Schlott was very helpful and nice. I will definitely be going back.

They open at 8 my appointment was at 9. I did not get called back till 9:45. So within a hour they were 45min behind.

Dr. Schlott actuallly sighed when I said I could feel pain. Also basically had me in a headlock in his armpit. Not friendly at all! The office staff is even worse. I did see in the other reviews that David is gone, finally. Too bad so many patients had to have horrible experiences before that happened. The unethical lack of compassion throughout this office is shocking

I am deathly afraid of the dentist from a bad experience. Told the staff numerous times, they didnt seem real understanding and when it was time to do my surgery they kind of rushed at me all at once freaking me out even more. They did however keep the pain to a minimum and for that I am grateful. Maybe they should take dental anxiety a little more serious. Thank you.

My son had his wisdom teeth removed in January. The doctor and office staff were wonderful. However we are still waiting on a refund of approximately $300 because of insurance overpayment. We have tried to contact the office numerous times and no one returns our calls. There is no reason it should take 6 months for a refund. It seems to be a consistent problem with this office based on other reviews that I have read.

Receptionist was very cold, no compassion. Also their price quotes were much high than any I received in St Louis. They must not be too interested in client care, the bottom line seems to be their only concern. Luckily there are many other surgeons in the area.

The doctor and the nurses are rude to their patients if youre in pain and your feeling what hes doing he does not care he still proceeded without numbing you more and gets mad and walked away during the procedure because you are feeling pain all Sarah care about is getting money and thats it theyre not worried about their patients safety of feeling pain or anything like that so if you want to feel pain go to this doctor if you dont want to feel pain then dont go to him Id rather let a homeless man on the road pull my tooth then go to this doctor I give him negative 10 on Starz it wont let me post without giving them at least one star but its negative 10 for me

Very poor experience with the Alton office. Speaking to the Dr was fine, but the office staff is difficult and rude. They told me a $180 copay on the phone, wanted to charge us $580 when we got in the office. Additionally, we arrived at 2:45 when we were told to arrive at 3 by the Dr; they told us we should have been there at 1:45. Both “miscommunications” they blamed on me by claiming they told me & I agreed when I did not, and called me a liar to my face. Extremely bad experience. Would never recommend to anyone.

My daughter and son have both been to the Alton location to see Dr. Schlott for wisdom teeth removal. I have nothing but good to say, from the moment we checked in until the time we checked out superb customer service! I highly recommend this practice to anyone, very nice staff and professional. I must say Amanda was very knowledgeable and kind when it came to answering questions about my insurance and scheduling our appointments. Thank you for your wonderful service and for taking good care of my children.

I was very worried about sedation for my son. He has a disability that makes IV sticks very difficult. He and his nurse discussed other options as needed to make him comfortable during his procedure. They got an IV on one stick, which is remarkable!!!!! Excellent skills and bedside manner.

UPDATE: Focusing on just the service this business provided, I sincerely doubt there are better Docs doing the business. Dr. Heidenreich will follow-up after surgery and the care he provides is second to none. I have always been nervous about having work done on my teeth and would allow them to do surgery on me any time. A little disappointed it took so long to get some money back that we were owed, but that disappointment is easy to get over when it comes to the actual services they provide.

Dr. Schlott was very nice and reassuring. His nurses, assistants, and office staff were also very sweet and understanding about my anxiety. The nurse (Amy, I think?) was excellent at getting the IV in, even with my bad veins and IV fears. I was initially completely terrified to get my wisdom teeth out, but I’m glad I did now. I don’t remember a thing and felt no pain. It was actually somewhat pleasant. It felt like I was only asleep for a couple of minutes. I would like to say I would go back, but I hope I don’t ever need to! I’d also like to thank all of his staff for being incredibly professional and caring.

I took my daughter in for a consultation with Dr. Schlott and found him very personable. His office however has been difficult to work with. Its taking what seems to be an unreasonable amount of time to tell me what my portion of the cost to is going to be. Ive reached out multiple times and keep getting brushed off. ***update-after almost 2 weeks I do now have the information that I needed.***

Very rude over the phone while trying to set up appointment also they told my referral dentist a price that I would need to pay and when I called to pay over the phone tried to charge over 100 more I definitely won’t be giving this place any business
