Dr. Dholakia is fantastic. He truly listens to you, gives incredible and accurate advice, and delivers help when you most need it. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. He is a rare combination of intelligence and friendliness. Perfect for this area of medicine. Front staff also super responsive and helpful!

Worst doctor ever! Overpriced and offered no real help for my daughter. Prescribed medicine that he admitted wouldn’t help. Sorry we wasted so much time here. Dr. D is THE best I have ever worked with. You get what you pay for and Orange Psychiatric has helped me more than any other ADHD practitioners and I have worked with several over the last 20+ years. Others give you 30 minutes max for an appointment then churn you out the door to crank out their next appointment. Dr. D and his staff take their time, seek to understand deeply if or how they can help then partner with patients to come up with the best path forward. Cant recommend Dr. D and Orange Psychiatric enough.

Dr. D is phenomenal. He takes his time to make sure you understand what’s going on and is excellent with my daughter.

My daughter was being treated here for the past six months. She gradually got worse under his care and ended up in a life threatening situation. We feel that this could have been avoided because I spoke with Dr. D multiple times about our concerns over a three week period that lead up to this situation and he never changed or adjusted her medications or even suggested that she come in to be seen!

I was hopeful because this physician sounded like a good fit for me but then I learned the cost involved in seeing him because he doesnt accept insurance. I should know better to get my hopes up anymore. I think that should be discussed in the front page of the website or at least a choice in the menu so you dont have to search for it so hard. If I wouldnt have dug any deeper and by chance found it in the frequently asked questions. I would have been even more upset after calling the office. There is a fee on the website of $650 dollars for children, adolescent and young adults up to age 21. For older adults the fee is 500 dollars and it states that a second appointment may be necessary at 250 dollars per visit. Then on top of this you have the cost of any medicine, if given. know this is his choice to not contract with insurances but if seems to me that he just wants the rich people. I cant afford this kind of money up front. Then who knows if I could even get the insurance company to pay some of it back.

My son and I both really liked Dr. D! This was only our first visit, but we both felt very comfortable and listened to. He also explains things very clearly and it is obvious that he is very knowledgeable. My son felt very much like he could have easy conversation with the Dr. We drive 1.5 hours one way to see him, but the drive seems well worth it so far. We are very happy to have found him:-)

Dr. Dholakia is amazing! He listens and really figures out the best ways to help without just giving medication. That was very important to me because I didnt want to put my child on medication unless I absolutely had to. He explains everything thoroughly and is a great person to have on our team!! He has really helped change my sons life for the better and my son loves going to see him. He is always available to us and you get to talk directly to him when needed! He helped us through one of the hardest times with my son and reassured me to keep going and follow my gut. He picked up on things some others hadnt. So many questions are now answered and we have the clarification to get my son the additional help he needs. He the best at what he does and I feel confident we are in the best hands with him. This is my second review for Orange Psychiatric Associates. My son continues to see Dr. D and his ADHD is managed well. We have been with this practice now for 4 years and unless it closes we will remain. As a teenager my son is now more involved with his treatment plan and Dr. D is supportive, attentive, and respectful of his questions and input. He listens and provides education that is understandable and applicable. Without a doubt the best Psychiatrist in the area or I wouldn’t drive 30-45 minutes to see him.

Dr. Dholakia was a breath of fresh air. Haven’t had an experience like that with a doctor in a very long time. He’s patient, kind and listens very attentively to you. He doesn’t make you feel rushed. Poor business. I called for price for a visit ( as instructed by their website ) and she didnt want to answer and speak about it. Then i ask to speak with doctor and she refused saying that we are very busy over here. I decided to walk in at their business and they said open until 06.30pm. I arrived 05.30 and they were away. Stay away!
