Review №1

I dont like to give bad reviews, but in this instance I didnt want to walk away in silence as someones health could be on the line. Also, my review may be biased as Ive worked in research & data analytics at one of the top health institutions in the nation located in San Antonio, TX. So Im honestly not used to anything less.Either way, I have a chronic illness and have to obtain infusions from time to time. Im currently in Georgia visiting family and have been feeling light headed and dizzy for months so I knew I needed to have some labs run and to obtain treatment from a doctor. The facility is nice and they hand you a packet that instructs you how to be proactive in your own health and basically take control of your own medical care (which I believe puts less owness on the doctor to do her job).I took the time out to send Dr. Ninan my past and recent lab results to understand which lab tests I needed to take. Unfortunately, this was not enough information to make a decision on treatment, but the doctor ordered more lab results and told me to take an over the counter medication with no instructions on how much to take. This was odd to me as she told me that the results she looked at werent worrisome, but told me to take medication and then ordered more labs.I went to a lab facility and got my bloodwork done that day expecting to receive results by then next business day from the doctor. A week and a half went by and no word. I received one of the lab tests back which showed one of my health metrics was critically low. So I called the office asking when I should expect to hear back from the doctor. They said that they were still waiting on the other lab results and would contact me on Thursday with results. Thursday went by and no word from the office.Friday a nurse called me to report that the lab metric they received showed that one of my levels were critically low. So I asked them about the other lab results and they still had not received them. This let me know they were willing to make a determination of my health with a fraction of the story. They claimed that the lab didnt send part of my report and that they would be able to make a determination off of one lab metric (that was critically low according to the report) and told me to continue taking over the counter medication (again with no instruction on how much to take). If this was the case, then they should have made this determination on Monday when I initially called or when they had first received the low metric a week and a half ago.Either way, my previous hematologist didnt make similar determinations off of one critically low metric, leave me waiting for 2 more weeks suffering, have me trying to figure out my own lab results, or have me pay for and order labs they werent planning to use. Now I have to figure out how to see my original hematologist in TX because this doctor doesnt desire to give out timely, proper care.Ill say the staff and the nurses were very nice, but spend your money somewhere where the doctor is thorough and clear about your medical results and treatments. Nobody has time to be chasing people around about medical results when theres facilities who do things right the first time. And again, I might just be a one time case but I wont be taking another chance with my health at this center.

Dr. Kristina Bowen is a lifesaver. Her team of nurses is second to none. If I need a test scheduled they take care of everything. The chemo room is bright and sunny. They always have warm blankets ready, hot and cold beverages, snacks and television. If you have to get treatment I wouldnt go anywhere else. Lots of free parking too. Thats a bonus!
