Dr. Florence Barnett saved my life when she removed an extremely large tumor from my head. Nearly 10 years later I am here to tell you that she is the best. So grateful to have had such an amazing, attentive, talented, generous human being care for me in such a way. She is still the only one who I trust to read my MRIs and she does so out of her commitment to her patients. I am blessed by Dr. Barnett. There are not enough stars to say how GREAT she is.

Can we say attentive, analytical, honest, intelligent, caring, directly to the point, all in one surgeon. Dr. Barnett can access your symptoms, review your records and tell you want she can and can not do and come up with a plan. She did surgery on my spine when no one else would give me any hope. She did an emergency surgery on my hubbys neck which literally saved him. You are in the best care with her hands and mind. I cant be any more pleased with Dr. Barnetts skill. She is a warm and caring person along with her staff.

I had surgery with Dr. Barnett a couple of years ago and ,it was the worst mistake I have ever made. She left scars on my body that will never go away. I am in more pain now than ever before. Please do not allow this Dr.to perform surgery on you. Now I am seeking plastic surgery too make me look and feel human again. I literally considered suicide after looking at the damage too my body.Signed a disappointed patient.

Having an emergency situation and surgery at Emory was met in the biggest way of “hitting the jackpot” w Dr. Barnett arriving at ER to take care of me. Today is the 7 year Anniversary of my neck fusion surgery. I was very sceptical of having any surgery on my neck but, I am very glad I did. She is the best for a reason. My wife and I have been coming to Dr. Barnett since 2009. She has performed major surgeries on both of us. One of the surgeries she performed on me was a full lumbar fusion in 2013. She shared the work with Dr. Elias Dagnew, another excellent neurosurgeon. Dr. Barnett stated she could help solve my situation but needed the extra eyes and hands in order to facilitate a successful surgery. It would be too long for her to do it by herself. This type of decision underlines the concern she has for ALL of her patients. She wants to give them as strong a life after surgery as possible, with as much pain relief as the surgery will allow. She is not a judgmental practitioner; however, she wants her instructions followed, especially by the patient. The instructions she gives for after care are designed to create as rapid healing process as can be expected. I have put my life and future life in her hands more than one time. I am very glad I made those decisions. There are times when your appointment may be delayed. This is almost always due to the fact she has received an emergency life threatening situation and is called in to help a person. All her long term patients understand that there may be times when an appointment may get delayed. She is well worth the wait.

Dr. Barnett is everything a doctor should be. Her caring attitude has made trying times easier. She performed 2 brain surgeries on my son which gave us about 8 extra years with our son. The tumor finally won and our beloved son passed away in 2016. She rebuilt my neck and my lower back. After recently seeing 2 other doctors, she was the only one who caught that I had spinal meningitis and most likely saved my life. I have MS and my blood work doesn’t always show infections as with folks without an immune disease. I will always be indebted to her for the care she gave my son and myself. We refer to her as “Mama” Barnett as she cares for her patients as she would her own family. If I could give her a 20 star I would!

Shes simply the best. I would NEVER let another Dr perform spinal surgery on me. I could repeat all the nice things other reviewers have said but theres no need. Ill simply add: if she were out of my insurance network, I would pay the full ride myself rather than let another. I think that says it all.

Dr.Barnett has saved my life!!!I had previously scheduled my Total Hysterectomy in January 2019.However, when I first visited her in December 2018, with my MRI, I was a high risk for spinal cord injury or paralysis. She brought it to my attention that if I proceed with the Hysterectomy, theres a great concern that I might wake up paralyzed. So, I canceled the Hysterectomy & rescheduled it for a later date. The neck had to come first.At the age of 57, this was my first major surgery & I was quite anxious. She alleviated my anxiety when she held my hand & got down in my face to tell me that she was going to take very good care of me. She performed a Cervical Discectomy & fusion in 3 areas.C4-5, C5-6, & C6-7. I did very well b/c she is so AMAZING!!! PLUS I know b/c I know, that God was working thru her!!!I stayed 2 nights at Emory Johns Creek & everyone was so professional & they made sure my stay was beyond excellence!! The PT & OT team were very good & the ICU staff were phenomenal!!My neck has yet to fuse & Im still off work until it does. Its been a long 6 mos. I must say. However, I cannot say enough about my doctor. I believe she is the best doctor in the whole wide world!!! She really genuinely cares about her patients.She is very knowledgeable & very thorough with her evaluations.I feel very comfortable in her presence.I consider her not only my doctor, but also a very good friend. ❤

Dr. Barnett is amazing! She has performed back surgeries on me and her skill and expertise are excellent. She is also very down to earth and easy to talk to. I would never use another neurosurgeon as long as she is in practice. I trust her and she cares. :)

Dr. Barnett is unbelievable. She performed my cervical spinal surgery almost 10 years ago and the one or two times I have had a complication she has also contacted me after I reached out...even though I was no longer her patient technically. I just reccomendI just recommended another person to Dr. Barnett so while looking up number I thought I would put my experience.......I had a disc leaning on my nerve yet couldnt get any doctor to believe something was wrong. I brought my .Cervical MRI to Dr. Barnett crying to please dont tell me Im crazy something is wrong, she could see on MRI that C5 C6.disc was sitting on my nerve.I had my surgery 2 weeks later which by then my disc had shattered. I awoke from surgery saying Thank you . This was back in 2007.I will forever be grateful for Dr. Barnett❤

After three weeks of waiting for an appointment with Dr. Barnett, I finally went today. My appointment was at 3 pm. I arrived 2:45 with all my paperwork filled ahead of time, my MRI disk, CD of x rays and copay ready, I was called back to the consult room at 4:15, a nurse came in at 4:30 and took some information, another 10 minutes goes by and finally Dr. Barnett comes in. She is a lovely, pleasant doctor with great interest in your conditions. But by this time my nerves were shot from the long wait. It took me several phone calls with her staff to get this appointment that I dont feel was well worth the wait. I hope, I dont have to return to this office. My time matters also!

Awesome. I had surgery twice as I had TWO accidents, one year apart. I would NEVER alow anyone else to touch me ( unless emergency!) other than Dr. Barnett. I would hope beyond hope I could get to her or her to me if I had an emergency. I would fly her to me. My surgeries were 2007 AND 2008. I had the regular return appointments and was released to return as needed. I have never had to return. I have had NO PROBLEMS. I wish that for everyone. I had two disc replaced and have a plate with 6 screws in my neck. I have almost full motion. No pains. Nothing. Thank you Dr. Florence Barnett, you are MY HERO!!

Referred to Dr. Barnett after a previous surgeon told me that the physical damage was so severe that it was beyond his ability to help me. Maybe a bit more anxious than I would have ordinarily been, I met Dr. Barnett and was inspired by her manner and quiet confidence. The job Dr Barnett did with my cervical fusion exceeded my expectations beyond even the best hopes I could muster. Im looking at a couple more procedures in the future and couldnt be happier that Dr. Barnett will do the job!

No doctors ever really listen to you. When I finally found her and she asked all kinds of questions about where my pain was I had already been to several doctors that took no time with me and my Mri was not showing what was wrong but when she finished with her questions she said I believe you and I cried with relief. When she did surgery she found a over grown piece of bone and behind it was a cyst. What a amazing person she is she listens.

I have had spine surgery twice. Seen a ton of doctors, had dozens of tests, taken all kinds of medications. After 10 years of chronic pain and a previous ACDF surgery, I was referred to Dr. Barnett. After one visit discussing all of the previous treatments and current MRI, she suggested surgery, but something less invasive than the two previous doctors I had seen. She was very clear in why she recommend what she wanted to do and set clear expectations. A month later, she does the Laminectomy at Emory at Johns Creek. She was so gentle and comforting the day of surgery and held my hand as a went under. Three weeks later, I am walking, literally pain free, without any fusion and without tons of post operative meds. I have been so pleased with her care, her staff, and the experience I would recommend her over any other neurosurgeon in ATL. She is truly amazing at what she does! God Bless Dr. Barnett.

Ive been waiting at least 2 months for an appointment with Dr. Barnett. Ive called twice. The referring physicians office has called multiple times. My information has been faxed over twice. Still no appointment. Im not impressed and am looking for another neurosurgeon.

Its been a year since my back surgery with Dr. Barnett and my back feels great. I even started bootcamp recently. A year ago I could barely walk without constant back pain and siatica pain down my leg because of my broken disk. I am so grateful for this second chance. I couldnt have asked for a better result. I had been hurting for months. I and my medical Dr. Thought it back. Dr f. Barnett knew it was my neck. She performed surgery and I am home, walking, in control of my feet and arms. She has helped me two times. Excellent care, excellent dr.

Dr. Barnnett has now performed 2 surgeries on my mom. She performed one on her lower back 5 years ago and performed one on her cervical spine yesterday. She is an amazing person as well as an amazing surgeon. She genuinely cares about her patients. She will listen to the patient and family, so she can get the whole picture of what is going on. She spent 30 minutes in the room with our family on Friday night (that was the third time she had been in to see my mom that day after my mom was admitted at 3 a.m.). She then spent another 20 minutes in the room with our family on Saturday afternoon. She has a God given gift, and I am sure that He is pleased with her use of talents that He equipped her with. My mom was so at peace knowing that Dr. Barnnett and her team would be taking care of her. There were a lot of answered prayers over the last week and Dr. Barnnett was one of them.
