I made a reservation for a 1pm massage. Rena Wilson wrote me back saying there was an error in scheduling and that 1pm was not available but they could do 11 , and if I would be ok with that. I said yes. Showed up to my appointment and the door was locked and the lights off. I called the number in the window three times. All I got was full voicemail. I emailed Rena Wilson back. No response yet. Total waste of my time on my one day off.

I came to Step by Step with soreness and pain in my left shoulder. This was a bit more than ordinary pain too and it got to a point where I needed to do something more than a typical relaxation massage. I found Rena from a quick Google search and she made me feel welcome right from the start and was most accommodating in getting my appointment made. On my first trip she assessed my condition and explained the methods she would use to help unlock the tightness that existed in my shoulder, collar bone and down through my shoulder blade. The treatment was great and got right to what was ailing me. After three visits of deep tissue massage, positional releases and some cupping I was feeling great and could actually sit at my desk comfortably again. I have had severe back and muscle pain for 20+ years. Ive done all kinds of natural therapies to help loosen the tight muscles and keep my range of motion. I went to Rena with a sore shoulder and neck after wrenching it getting into a car and she did awesome work. She was able to get the shoulder and neck to not be so stiff and she incorporated essential oils which helped with the pain. She was able to give me some therapeutic exercises to strengthen those muscles that where totally exhausted from excessive computer work. Overall she was very helpful and really cared about making me feel better, I would highly recommend her sessions!

Ive been seeing Rena regularly since 2014 when I started running marathons. Since then, I have run through pregnancy, qualified and run Boston, and run my first 100 mile race. I see Rena regularly for therapeutic massages because of my line of work. She provides extensive deep tissue therapy complimented with essential oils. She is very knowledgeable and customizes each visit according to what I physically need. Its not a fru-fru spa massage and she often talks through it to provide necessary distraction but I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I have had TMJ issues for the past 10 years. Rena has been able to specifically relax my neck and jaw muscles (along with general body massage), providing relief from long term pain. I started seeing Rena approximately five years ago. I have fibromyalgia and at that time I suffered from severe muscle spasms most of the time. Since I have problems with my neck the first time I saw Rena she spent most of the massage working on it. That was about 15 years ago and I have had a standing appointment with her ever since.As with that first session, Rena starts each session asking you whats going on with pain, etc. But I think she could find the problem without asking because muscles seem to talk to her. She knows whats going on with your muscles and makes sure the problem is worked out before she lets you off her table.Rena considers all your health needs. When I started having problems with allergies she went to a lot of trouble to find an oil that would not give me problems yet allow her to do her best work.
