Had an early weekend morning appointment with Brittany. She was amazing, her soft calm demeanor and perfect pressure during the massage was spot on. I didn’t want the hour massage to end! She was quiet during the massage which helped me to relax and gave some helpful tips at the end. Will definitely be booking with her again. Overall the staff created a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Took one star off only because my appointment was at 9, and at 8:58 when I arrived the therapists were waiting outside and the door was locked. By 9am it was unlocked by another woman and we got in promptly after that.

Do not sign up for a monthly with this company. They are scam artists, you will not be able to cancel. Sara Collins is a terrible manager and their staff is equally as bad.I am usually not one to write bad reviews but after my experience here I feel its important to warn others. I have some pending emails to their corporate and have a call into the Better Business Bureau. I signed myself and my son up for the monthly plan to support his track workouts. Once track was done, he decided not to continue. I called to cancel our account in May. The front desk assured me the manager would call back. After leaving 3 messages over 2 weeks I saw they were not going to cancel and would keep charging I decided to go in and process the cancellation in person (I had heard rumors they were hard to cancel and thought it was just the persons isolated experience). I went in and filled out the cancellation paperwork, asked questions multiple times to ensure the cancellation would be processed. I was told we had already paid for 2 more sessions and should make appts. I did so.I also cancelled the card that was being charged recurring, its for this reason I dont do recurring payments and how I ensure I wont be charged. My son went in for his 2nd to last massage, hes 17, he was charged $128. I called to find out what was going on, the front desk lady said my account was SUSPENDED due to non payment and she showed no history of a cancellation, this was 6 weeks after the cancellation, 8 weeks into me trying to cancel. She assured me there was a new manager, the old one was fired, and Sara Collins would be calling me back. She acknowledged the error and stated that his account would be refunded. It has been 2 weeks, I have called 3 times and each time this mysterious manager Sara is not in, I leave a message no one calls back. Ive been to the location in person, same answers. I will never work with this company again and I suggest you find local massage therapists in the area and work with them instead. We are now with another local company and having a much better experience for $40 per month (60% of what Massage Envy was charging).

I used to go in about once a month for a massage. The massage was good and all that, I went for a few months, but I ended up moving 45 min away so I didn’t have time to go anymore. I tried to freeze my account so I wasn’t paying the 60 a month anymore, but they kept charging me. Even after 3 attempts to freeze my account. I ended up canceling my card and getting another one thinking that might help. Somehow they got my new card and won’t stop charging me. Is good for a quick massage but I wouldn’t recommend EVER getting a membership here.

There’s been some management changes at this Massage Envy and they used to be one of the best Run franchises for Massage Envy. Unfortunately now they’re the worst they’re selling skincare products that been expired for over two years and trying to tell you not to worry about it. They’re also telling you things are on sale and when you try to ring out they tell you they were wrong and don’t honor it. They also set up several appointments for you and then cancel them right before you go. Very disappointing Massage Envy I definitely recommend you find another location. I’ve been a member there for over 13 years and they treat you like dirt now. They definitely need some re-training.

Honestly the WORST massage that I’ve ever had. I, like someone else, asked for firm pressure and all I got was a light rubbing. The massage therapist was personable but the technique was definitely lacking and had no pressure at all.Once my massage was finished and the receptionist asked if I enjoyed it I promptly told her no, I didn’t, and mentioned the issue with the pressure and technique. Afterwards she asked me if I wanted to leave a tip, and when she gave me change she only gave me large bills. I had to ask her three different times for smaller bills and she was visibly annoyed. I cleared it with her before I went in for my massage that they would be able to make change, so it wasn’t an issue of not having smaller bills. Customer service skills are so important and I’m so disappointed that I spent money on a “massage” here. Don’t waste your time or money.

I was told my service provider would be able to provide medium to firm pressure. This was not the case during my session. The amount of pressure was too soft for the issues that I expressed that needed attention. My service provider Carrie talked the ENTIRE time during our massage. One of the immediate benefits of massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. It is extremely difficult to relax and remain calm when someone is talking to you during the entire session. At one point, Carrie did shed light on medical information was beneficial. However, it would have been nice to receive this information at the conclusion of the session. A note for future reference, don’t assume everyone wants to have a full blown conversation during their massage session. I am not a one size fits all client and you should never lead with that attitude. What may work for one client may not be the case with another. Also, I paid for a 60 minute massage. I did not receive a full 60 minute massage. The massage didn’t begin until 11:07 AM but ended at 11:57 AM. About 10 minutes short of what I paid for. I arrived 15 mins prior to my session, completed the necessary paperwork with 10 minutes left to spare before my massage. Also, once I got home, my back was in more pain than it was before I attended the session.

UPDATE: I responded to Massage Envys comment and received an email from Massage Envy Corporate. They quickly made things right and were very responsive. I found a fantastic massage therapist and have been pleased with their service. Way to recover, Massage Envy!I purchased a prepaid 6 Month Plan beginning in January 2020 at the WINDWARD PARKWAY location in Alpharetta, GA, and was told that even though we are in the middle of a global pandemic, I could not put my account on hold or extend it.I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago, and the day before, I wasnt feeling well, so I called to cancel to PROTECT the Massage Envy staff. I had another appointment today, but my 81 year old mother who is a widow and lives in AL is having lung issues and is having a CT scan today (in the middle of COVID-19). I obviously raced to AL and completely forgot about my appointment. I offered to provide confirmation from her doctor, but they still are charging me one credit. I am appalled. The Massage Envy franchise is doing NOTHING during a global pandemic to support their members--no extension of plan when the world has been shut down for 60 days and no exception when I needed to care for an elderly widow. Quite frankly, Im appalled. I will use my remaining credits as fast as possible and will NOT do business with the Massage Envy franchise again. I would think a wellness company would be better than this. Frustrated and disappointed.

I have been a loyal customer since the doors opened in Alpharetta. The entire staff are helpful, friendly and go the extra mile to make sure that I enjoy each visit. I have a standing appointment every other Sunday. Jill keeps my appointments scheduled out for a year so there is never any confusion. The manager, Marcy is absolutely fantastic. She alwaystakes time to have a friendly conversation and make sure that I am happy. My massage therapist, Charles is the best. He is punctual and never waste time. He will adjust his technique to ensure that he has addressed my stress points.I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to relax.

I was at first skeptical, but then after my first massage with Marcy Ive become a regular client and now my husband is also. The therapists are well trained. Many have their specialties, the management team is very accommodating to packages etc. its really easy to get an appointment and the early/late hours 7 days a week is perfect for the working person.

I have been a member at Massage Envy for several years & the Windward Parkway, Alpharetta location has always been outstanding! Cynthia is an awesome deep tissue massage therapist – she took the time to get to know me & takes care of all my issues & concerns. I schedule 90-minute massages, bi-weekly, & I am always scheduled at least 6 months in advance to insure Cynthia is available. I would also like to compliment the manager, Marcy, & the front desk staff (especially Jill) – for always being so friendly, professional, & efficient. This location was recently renovated, looks beautiful, & creates a relaxing atmosphere immediately when you enter. I have always had an excellent experience & highly recommend this location.

I held off writing this review until after I spoke with the manager at the Alpharetta location as I wanted to give her the opportunity to right the problem we incurred. Long story short, she didnt. She actually blamed another location for the problem! We only wanted to transfer a credit to a friend of ours so that she could enjoy a free massage. Simple enough, right? After about 30 minutes on the phone with the Johns Creek location (where our account was originated) we were told that the credit had been transferred to our friend. I then went into the Alpharetta location to schedule massages for myself and our friend (we wanted to go at the same time). I spent another 30 minutes trying to confirm that the credit had been transferred and that we were good to go. I gave the employee at the Alpharetta location my phone number to call me if there were any issues with the transfer being completed. I never heard from her or anyone else at this location or from Johns Creek. Six days later, my friend and I arrived for our appointment, checked in, got our massages, and then checked out. Sounds great, right? Well, the manager from the Alpharetta location called our friend the next morning to tell her that she had checked out without paying. Seriously!? Apparently, they were going to just run her credit card on file but it was expired so they wanted to get her updated card info to pay for the massage. Can I even tell you how embarrassing this is for all of us?!?!?! When I called to speak with the manager about this she did everything but take responsibility for the mistakes that were made at her location. All she did was place blame on the Johns Creek location. Both locations screwed up; however, I took time to go into the Alpharetta location to schedule our appointments, in person, to make sure there would not be any issues on the day of our appointment. We have had similar issues in the past and I wanted to try an avoid another embarrassing incident. This was clearly the responsibility of the Alpharetta location to handle this issue. Needless to say, we will never go back there and we are cancelling our membership with Massage Envy! Customer service is extremely important and Massage Envy is totally lacking in this department.

Clean facility and it was easy to find. Staff was delightful. I was able to schedule an appointment easy through the website. It was fabulous! Wish I can afford to do it every week 😀Edit: 9/4/18 I have called to ask about membership. Young lady Desaree (not sure about spelling) answered the phone. I am not sure if she is new- but she was not prepared to answer about the pricing and what the membership includes. She was asking someone who was next to her. (not a good look for the customer services call). She was also laughing through the phone, as if she had another conversation while we are on the phone. Definitely a training opportunity.

I had been having tremendous neck and shoulder tension causing daily headaches. I’m not a member but I called in the morning and they were able to book me an appointment same day. All of that was great but I’m really giving my 5 stars to Darlene. She did a phenomenal job. I left her table feeling amazing. I could have cried with relief at no longer being in pain. And not just in my neck, she relieved so much tension in my lower back. She’s the best masseuse I’ve been to, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I work out 2-3 times a week and play golf 2-3 times a week so at my age my muscles stay sore and stiff. A truck hit me earlier this year so Ive had back issues. For me, a deep tissue massage is required on a regular basis. The massage therapists at Massage Envy are the best in the area. The best 90 minute therapist is Nataliya. I dont know how, but Nataliya has the highest energy level from the first minute until the last minute and performs the highest quality massage custom designed for me. I have to book her weeks in advance. Ive been a member for 10 plus years and Ive used my membership all over Atlanta area, Nashville, Knoxville and other cities. The best for me is no doubt the Massage Envy at Alpharetta-Windward location. The management there has always been pleasant, professional, courteous and very helpful.

I went in as a first time customer and explicitly asked my massage therapist to focus on my neck and shoulder blades. With the exception of literally several minutes on my shoulder blades, the whole session focused on my back--neglecting my neck and shoulders. I even pointed out the knots on my shoulder blades during the few minutes that area was focused on.Upon providing this feedback to the front desk attendent, I was offered a second session at the introductory rate of $50.Heres my question Message Envy,If I paid $50 for you to massage my neck and shoulders and you did not provide this service, why would I pay another $50? Should you not provide the service for which I had already paid for before even considering trying to get more money out of me?

Review №23

When my initial appointment was scheduled, the representative advertised a $60 fee for the introductory rate; however, I did not know at that time said rate was for a 60 minute massage. I was scheduled for a 90 minute massage; arrived at my appointment, received an excellent massage; and found out after service was rendered that there was a difference in price. Specifically, I was not entitled to the $60 introductory rate as my appointment was for 90 minutes.I acknowledged that, that was not what was explained upon scheduling. The representative discussed with manager, Marcy, who refused to honor what her employee incorrectly stated to me upon scheduling the appointment. The representative offered if I signed up for membership, I would be charged $60. Otherwise, the session fee was $90. That was unacceptable as leadership should have honored what the employee stated in error. It was not about the money but directly about principle. As a consumer/customer, how would I know the difference in price unless it was properly explained? And why would I want to establish membership if such a mishap could not be resolved adequately? Where is the trust for the customer that the company will hold themselves accountable?Marcy, the manager did not even take the time to speak with me (about this) in person. She and her employee brushed me off as if it was no big deal. It was not until I emailed my concerns via the Massage Envy website did the same manager (Marcy) I saw while present in the Alpharetta location offer solutions. However, when I was there, I was dismissed. Thus, I declined any further retribution to this matter.I would caution all future customers to steer clear of this Massage Envy. I recommend taking your service to a different location for a better, professional experience. If you do obtain service from the Alpharetta location, be certain to ask clarifying questions about price PRIOR to your appointment so you are not blindsided.I plan to NEVER go back to the Alpharetta location.

The worst demonstration of professionalism and customer service. The manager is a simple minded relic from an era long gone, training should be the word of the day for these folks and no, not everyone can or should sit behind a counter and engage the public.Save yourself the time. If I could give zero stars I would. I made an appointment because I have had some serious ongoing pain in my shoulder and after trial after trial of specific medications and treatments, I thought the only way to relieve it at this point would be massage therapy. I made a last minute appointment on Saturday to have my massage Sunday. I had a family emergency Sunday and could not make the appointment, and ended up having to pay the full price of a massage for not even making my appointment. Now I know that it was unfair of me to not call, and I understand that they need to make up for the lost time when scheduling the appointments and missing out on other clients, but in this case... when I had no other option.. I do not think it was fair to charge me for the full appointment when they did no work themselves. Also, I would not have even bothered writing this review if it werent for the very indecent, rude staff I was on the phone with while calling right after my appointment was supposed to start to let them know the situation. They would not hear me out... much less let me get three words out before they demanded that I go somewhere else but make sure I have enough money in my account before I hang up to cover for missing an appointment.I may have chosen this place because I was in desperate need of a massage and they had the soonest appointment available.... but rest be assured... I will NEVER be entering a Massage Envy store again. If anything, they have caused me way more stress than I was hoping to get off my shoulders.

I looked up their website Thursday morning and filled out the scheduling form for my wife and I to get her a Birthday Massage. The website accepts all your information readily enough like phone number and email and then tells you that someone will call to confirm. Friday morning no phone call so I called them. I told the girl who picked up that I had filled out the appointment form online and she proceeded to tell me in 2 different ways that scheduling online is not a confirmation of appointment. She then told me they could fit me in next week. No apology for not following up to let me know they did not have that time available just a recitation and justification of their rules. If that works for you, then call them dont use website, if your like me and expect a business where you spend your money to have simple follow up processes dont bother with this business because they dont.
