I’m a new patient North Georgia Endocrinology. I have been dealing with menopause, as well as an under active thyroid. I have been seeing my regular primary care doctor who has been treating me for my thyroid issues. However there is truly something to say about seeing an endocrinologist. Dr. Ahmad has been on maternity leave so I was a bit apprehensive about seeing Carolyn Lawson, the nurse practitioner. I was told that Carolyn talks to Dr. Ahmad and is still involved with each patient’s appointment. I’m so happy that I went to see Carolyn Lawson. I was truly impressed by her. Not only does she have great bedside manner but she is super smart and knowledgeable. If she was a book I would seriously read her. She took her time to explain everything to me. She was very patient with me. The office is definitely one of the nicest and cleanest offices I have ever been to. Gloria, Trinity are so warm welcoming and helpful. I have to admit that I haven’t been feeling like myself these days, as well as feeling anxious. After my appointment with Carolyn Lawson I truly felt a lot more relaxed and at ease. I love that I am connected to the patient portal that has all the notes that were discussed at my appointment. I highly recommend Carolyn Lawson.

I was very impressed with this practice and feel thankful to have found them. As a new patient to Dr. Ahmad, I had a LOT of health history to cover. She was extremely patient and thorough, and while I don’t have answers (yet) for the problems I’ve been experiencing, I left feeling confident in the game plan we put together and knowing she’s willing to dig deep in order to identify root cause. I am so happy I have found Dr. Anbar Ahmad.After going to Laureate Medical Care for 7 years and not having my A1C and my thyroid levels improving at all I finally found her.For the 1st visit I had an on-site appointment and even though she was talking 10 mph I felt very informed. I left that 1st appointment very satisfied impressed with how much information she wrote tor me. After the appointment I called up my brother, who is also a doctor (a gastroenterologist), and he was even impressed with how detailed and thorough she was in the notes she gave me.After she got my blood test results from Labcorp she immediately followed up with me and told me what I should be doing to control my sugar and what time I should be eating every meal to control my thyroid function in my body.For my 2nd and 3rd appointments I had virtual visitdms and I was impressed with that call as well, even though we had a bad connection. She called me back immediately, apologized for the dropped call, even though it was not her fault, and we continued our conversation. She followed up that call with my labcorp results again, advised me on what I should be doing to correct my sugars even further and told me the prescription she was calling in. She even recommended natural solutions to my problems when I told her I did not like taking more medicine and then she answered all the rest of my questions.For the 3rd appointment, she even called me from her car when she found out that the nurse practitioner that was filling in for her was behind on her calls.Now that is a great doctor. She really cares about her patients and how well you are doing.If you are looking for an endocrinologist I would really recommend you go see Dr. Anbar.Even the front desk customer service is great.

Dr Anbar Ahmads visit made me cry because her attention, care and listening skills really touched my heart. I was looking for a doctor to partner with who was exactly like this. Prayers do come true in time that is for sure. I love who she is. She has 3 year old twin girls and another 1 year old baby girl and she is such an attentive doctor. I did not expect that. After hours I called to leave a VM on their machine and I heard someone answer the phone with kids in the background so asked surprisingly who this was and it was Dr Ahmad the same day I visited her. My personal experience has been, either great office, not so great doctor or the reverse. At this office you will get both. (Great office and Fantastic Doctor) Let me explain...First impression was the office staff, When I called to make an appointment, I spoke with Ashia who was very professional and so efficient. She scheduled my appointment with Dr. Ahmad, and also set me up with the patient portal, all during the call. Upon my scheduled appointment, the office is very inviting, well designed and relaxing and not the boring Doctors office you visit. I was checked in on time and taken back to see the Doctor immediately. Dr. Ahmad is a Gem. She is a very caring Physician. She truly cares about her patients and takes the time to not only explain what you may be feeling, but takes the time to let you know that she is in it with you and will do everything she can to help find a solution that you can both feel comfortable with. She is also very knowledgeable about the Endocrine system and explains in detail your illness and how your body functions. I learned a lot. When I checked out, Gloria was so personable, she printed me instructions on how to get to Quest to get my labs done which is not too far from the office. She also scheduled my next appointment and I received a confirmation while I was still standing in front of her. LOL. My first visit. Nice friendly staff, office clean, doctor has great bedside manner. I didn’t feel rushed during my visit. I felt the doctor listened to my concerns and she discussed treatments options that were suitable for optimal health versus just taking meds. Very informative. One of the best doctor visits I have ever had.
