Working with the counselors at Johns Creek & Alpharetta Counseling has been a great experience for my child. His counselor is caring and has been tuned in to his needs as he transitioned from elementary to middle school. His counselor has been very helpful in teaching him the skills needed to manage significant transition and the instability that can come with life changes.

Ive referred clients to Erica (the Owner) for years! She has a very calming personality and my clients have spoken very highly of their experiences with this firm. They are growing like crazy and I will continue to refer people to them.

Ive had the pleasure of working for JCAC for (almost) a year now as the office manager. This is a wonderful practice that takes care of their staff, and care greatly about the quality of care the counselors give to their clients.

It was okay at first, but they like completely lied to me and they were like “oh yea we’re a great fit 🥺🥺”, and then dropped me after 3 sessions and now for some reason my mother hates me bc i wasted her money. i genuinely thought it would work out, but i said too much and they talked about medication, then completely dropped me. this is also the SECOND therapist to drop me. i didn’t even physically run away from this one either, they just did it for some other reason. I’m bipolar, and it turns out this whole time I had early onset schizophrenia. still no therapist now bc the one that diagnosed me with that ALSO dropped me. lol. I was always told I was so brave for getting help, but the help doesn’t even want me. anyways, if you are too too bad, don’t bother, you’ll shiver their timbers and they’ll tell you to go somewhere else. probably the only place that would take you would be the psychiatric ward, and they would hog your insurance money and hold you hostage for 30 years.

Their caring, compassionate and knowledgeable therapists serve the entire lifespan and are ready to support you. The counselors will meet you where you are at and journey alongside you helping you find healing so that you can grow and thrive. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about JCAC!

If I could give zero stars I would. The counseling was fine; However, do NOT use them if you hope to ever be reimbursed by your insurance company. My insurance company has reached out to their offices through mail and phone approximately 8 to 10 times and they have received no answer/reply to their questions. Once they have your money they apparently do not care. I had to change therapists in order to continue with treatment. I will be quite happy to remove this review once the situation with my insurance company is resolved.....in response to your comment of my review.I know you do not take insurance but I was told that I would be provided with diagnostic codes so I could submit out of network claims to my insurance. The codes provided to me were not connected to the therapist seen or the practice itself which is why my out of network claims were denied.I was provided with at least 6 copies of letters that the insurance company sent out. None were responded to by your office.. In addition my husband (insurance holder) called the practice numerous times to rectify the situation. The person who answered said they would reach out to the insurance company but our respentative from the insurance company never heard from them.

What a breath of fresh air! I can honestly say that I truly enjoy working with such an amazingly competent, warm and professional group. It is apparent that the practice has a heart for not only the clients but also the staff. Fair treatment is an understatement at this establishment. I look forward of years more to come growing with this practice.

I have been working with Erica Gregory since December of 2016. I still remember how nervous I was to see a therapist. From our very first meeting, she made me feel at home. I love her quality to empathize with me and her intuition for some beautiful insights. I started seeing her for postpartum depression. She was and still is a very important part of my healing journey. I am very impressed With her knowledge and understanding of anything I present to her on the table. She is constantly growing and learning with me and I feel the same way. I have gained a lot of trust in her with time. The best part about her way of practice is that she lets me sit in the drivers seat and I get to decide the pace of therapy sessions all dependent on how I feel.I highly recommend Erica Gregory and her wonderful practice to anyone who needs some help with relationships, mental health etc

I’ve been a therapist here since 2017 and I absolutely love this kind community! As soon as I walk in the door there’s calming music, essential oils, helpful resources all around the lobby, as well as reassuring faces. The flexibility of this workplace is exactly what my family needs as well! I highly recommend!

There aren’t enough amazing things I can say about the counseling services Erika LaCaruba offers. She is the perfect balance of reason and comfort and was always supportive in my journey of healing. She is committed to her clients and makes working on your mental health an enjoyable experience. Erika always knows exactly what to say no matter what situation I was in and truly changed my life for the better. The office is always clean and cozy and the online scheduling system allows me to schedule my own appointments.

Great experience and helping me a lot

I have been seeing Lindsay Richards for many residual issues related to anxiety, PTSD, as well as addiction. Im a veteran when it comes to counseling, and I can honestly say that Lindsay has been the best at helping me move forward in the amount of time Ive been seeing her. Her approach is one that is way more versatile and from the heart. Her method isnt one size fits all. She caters her therapy to the individual, and thats the biggest impact that I have felt. I feel like Im growing in the right direction and recommend her to everyone I feel that could benefit. (I think everyone should be in therapy to reach their ultimate potential :))

Erika LaCaruba was my counselor. I recommend her to anyone looking for a patient and caring counselor. The moment I had my first session with her, I felt reassured and safe talking to her. She not only listened to all of the issues I spilled out to her, but she also talked things out with me to make sense of why I was feeling that way. Im very thankful for the time I spent at those sessions because I always felt motivated after leaving. Ive been to other counseling offices in the area but I felt the most comfortable with Erika.

I scheduled an intake appointment with Erika LaCaruba earlier in the week for today at 12pm. I even received a text confirmation yesterday regarding the appointment. My husband and I arrived right around 12pm today. We waited for an HOUR. My husband finally took initiative to go ask about our appointment. She pulled us into her room with her laptop only to tell us that she couldn’t find us in her system. She did, however, tell us she was sorry and said she thought she was losing her mind. She then asked us if she could schedule us in for ANOTHER DAY. I feel this situation was handled very unprofessionally and we will be going elsewhere!

I am a therapist here and love the caring atmosphere. The offices are warm and inviting and we work so well together as a team to help our clients.

I am so happy with the treatment my daughter received here. Rachel Butler was kind, engaging, and made my daughter feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend them!
