Always a necessary trip when my step daughter is home from college. But Ive just got to have this 1 thing.Quick and easy to find the latest beauty products on the market. I like how you can just pull up and run in. Makes it my go to store, by the looks of my amex, too many times!!!!!

Went early on a Friday morning around 9:30. The staff was very welcoming and directed me to the items I was looking for. They even indicated where I could test the product and still maintain cleanliness and sanitize my needs.

This Ulta is great, specifically the customer service by Alex. I’m not someone that wears makeup but I needed brow stuff and a BB cream for a wedding this Saturday and really had no idea where to begin. She was able to recommend a light coverage product for me and color matched me perfectly (if I would have picked a color online or by myself based off the box shades I would have been wayyyy off). She asked all the right questions to point me in the right direction and was able to answer all of mine without it being intimidating. Thank you Alex!

A guy was very helpful and he helped me to reach the amount to get promoted essence. I was very happy before the cashier woman ruined. She wasn’t friendly at all and she forgot to gave me the essence I support to get.So I remind her about it politely, she didn’t say anything, turned around and grabbed it and gave to me. I’m not going to return this location anymore.

Why do I have to give you my phone number to make a purchase??? The cashier told me it helps if I need to return something (but I have a receipt for that). Them asks for my first and last name (which I refused to give her)...when I look at my receipt, somehow I have a brand new rewards membership!?!? No matter which location I go to I always end up having a bad experience. Should have gone to Sephora instead.

Keianna (may be spelled wrong) was wonderful. She greeted me warmly and helped me with my purchase. She assisted me in finding exactly what I needed and was kind and considerate. I also witnessed her deal with a very difficult customer and she handled the situation like a pro. Would go back to this location just to see her!

It’s kind of unfortunate because I’ve never had a bad experience at any ulta, aside from this location today. The sales assistant on the floor was extremely helpful but the cashier was not. Unfortunately I purchased the wrong foundation shade at a different location and attempted to make an exchange for the correct one, however the cashier refused to match the item for a $0 exchange & was extremely petty in me owing 59 cents for the tax difference. I worked retail for many many years and am very aware of how exchanges & taxes work. And I was not going to swipe a card for anything less than a dollar. I opted to take my item back and exchange elsewhere. If we can’t have competent cashiers, maybe we shouldn’t have them at all.

My daughter loves this place has me as well they have great mens cologne.

I worked with Sophia who was great sales person. Very professional very polite. She was one of the best sales agent.

Customer service at this Ulta is fantastic! I especially love the employees in the Clinique department. They are honestly the absolute best. They always know the perfect product, the perfect color and I get tons of compliments for how great my skin looks.

Not requiring customers to wear masks. Sat outside for 5 minutes waiting for the door to be cleared of customers as suggested. Closed their store one minute before 6pm as my daughter and I waited outside patiently to enter. Rude manager at the door with terrible customer service skills. Will be taking my business to Sephora as this location is absolutely not taking precautions seriously nor do they care about those coming in WITH masks who are before closing. A gentle man who works there was extremely rude to me. I was looking at color pop blush and it looked like a tester, it had a plastic cover the blush. The rude blonde headed so called customer service person walked by and rudely said thats not a tester its covered for a reason!!!! I litterally lost my mind and asked for manager she quickly came to me and told her what happened. She then took him to the back . The other women were do helpful thats the only reason Im giving a three star! Get rid of him and they would be a five star!!

Hit-or-miss with the customer service. For the most part whenever I shop here I am not acknowledged, and I literally have to hunt the staff down in order to get some assistance. Some of the employees are even impatient with me when I do need their help, thus why I would rather spend my money in a Sephora. The only time I go to Ulta is if I absolutely have to, and even then Im still hesitant about physically entering this store. On the plus side there have been A FEW employees who have assisted me and were wonderful to interact with/provided me with a pleasant shopping experience (like I said before hit-or-miss).On another note this location was fairly stocked and overall tidy.

I wish I could give this store a negative five stars! This review is solely based on the manager. So I purchased my husband a bottle of cologne - it was $104. The manager came up to the cash register and assisted me with my purchase. She seem to come across pleasant in the beginning, but my goodness, as soon as I mentioned what are the free gifts with my purchase - she looked at me as if I was asking for the entire store! Now I’ve shopped at several Ultas (Florida and Georgia) and unfortunately they typically have a terrible reputation in terms of customer service and this location was no exception which is quite sad because it was the store manager! She came across sooooo nice nasty it was disgusting. She tried offering me a makeup bag and her associates chimed in attempting to give me samples that are typically given out randomly. Seriously people! Interestingly, I know if you spend over a certain amount in Ulta, the store usually gives you nice gifts - I know because I have several duffle bags in my closet from purchasing my husband’s cologne collection. But that’s ok because I will make a nice phone call to cooperate and tell them about my wonderful interaction with this location store manager. Maybe her DM will train her on that nice nasty attitude of hers. To be honest, I wanted to initially go to Sephora and in retrospect I should’ve.

I have so much trouble choosing colors for foundation and concealer and was helped today by KL. She chose the most beautiful tones from some Pur products that matched my skin perfectly! I couldn’t be more grateful by such perfect recommendations!!

I was in there for 15 min (literally) just looking around really quick. One person asked if I needed help and I said No I was just looking. Then another person asked less than 5 mins later, I said no. Then the original person asked again if I needed help, I said no again. If I say No, I mean No. not only that; during a pandemic the less people that approach customers, the better.

This was my second visit to Ulta since the pandemic began. The first time I went on week day and there was hardly anyone shopping besides me. Today there were 2 women in the checkout line ahead of me and several others arrived to shop while I waited in line. There was a fairly long wait to check out. They could have used more rhan 2 people on registers this afternoon.

James in Clinique helped me find the perfect foundation and he has an eye for color! I loved how professional he was during the whole process and really took the time to understand my needs. This is also the cleanest Ulta I’ve been to! Thank you James! Everyone is always so friendly from the moment you walk in the door. I feel like family every time I come in.

Manager followed me around the store. I could tell she was watching me. I work in retail so I know how they do it. She would come down the same isle as me and fix something look at me and walk away. Sad part is she never asked if I needed help. I was picking up many products because im allergic to some ingredients in some skin care products so I was reading each bottle. She also didnt stay 6 feet away from me, she actually got so close she touched my bag at one point. This diamond member wont be returning here.

This location is layed out nicer than my usual peachtree corners store. Easy to navigate inside. Better selection for higher end facial care options.

Bria is absolutely fantastic. She listens and offers advice but never pushes. My hair always looks amazing when I leave but more importantly, I feel amazing when I leave. Everyone who works in the salon is awesome. Plus, theyre cool with my service dog which always puts me more at ease. I drive 2 hours to get my hair done from this location and if I ever had a trip when Bria wasnt available, I would trust anyone who works there.

Customer service can improve. Being genuine with customers could help.

Ebony, at this location went all out in helping me find what I needed and also giving me some much-needed tips!! I dont wear much makeup and she was able to listen to me and make it fun and EASY! LOVE HER and wanted to say how good she is at her job.

Love Lydia! She does a great job on my keratin. I text her and she is very accommodating with appointments. A keratin is a long process and she makes sure you are comfortable and makes the process go by quickly. She is great! Would not go to anyone else!

I got the worst haircut ever. I asked for a trim, a trim, and ended up with a new, terrible, Carol Brady-esk hair style. All I said was a trim. Now my hair is a good 3 to 5 inches shorter, not to mention what I cut off to fix it. Eva could not follow directions. That is what bothered me the most. I told her I wanted my hair trimmed and she chopped it off. Not only did she chop it off, she gave me a style that would only make the Golden Girls jealous. Im not 80! I will not be going back there ever again and I do not recommend anyone ever going there at all.

Cashier Jessica just lied to my face and said she gave me my discount electronically and did not need to scan my Ulta coupon. After hiccups with Ulta for a while now, Sephora just gained a new client

I got my haircut today at Ulta and it was AMAZING! My hairstylist was Brittaney and she was so nice and has a great personality. She was also extremely good at cutting my hair. ITS PERFECT. I love it so much! Thank you!!

Jenna Ellis is AMAZING!! She is my person when it comes to my hair, I have followed her and trusted her with my hair for 16 years now 😳🙌 😆 She has never done me wrong and always knows what to do. I trust her style completely, even if I’m ready for a change she walks me through what it will require and what it will take to accomplish. I trust her as an artist and usually let her do what she thinks will look the best and she is super trendy, so my hair always looks great ❤️

Love this placeI am almost always greeted every time I walk in and the staff is always polite. The only downside is they run out of a lot of their products easily and some shelves may not even be restocked in weeks.But otherwise, its a great place. Theres a blonde woman there with a beautiful accent who is always doing an excellent job at the counter and it really makes a difference!

This store has disappointed me time after time. They seem to always be out of what I specifically come here for and it’s not even popular items at that. I pass several associates several times clearly confused and they don’t ever ask to assist me or even acknowledge me. I am so fed up with this location. I would rather drive 10 miles or more out of my way for better service and selection than to EVER come here again. It is plain ridiculous. I see a sign that clearly states the product and price, I get to checkout to see it ring up wrong. The associate walks me to the product and says oh this hasn’t started yet but they have the sign out for some reason and then she took the sign off.. That happened to me today. I would rather go to sephora down the road and pay more than to come here again. I usually go to Ulta a few times a month, but this store has completely lost my business along with the company.

The selection of products is amazing. This was my first time going to an Ulta location and Ill definitely be going back. They had all the items that I was looking for. The associate even went in back to check for an item that wasnt on the shelf. Much appreciate the great service.

Hair stylist Lydia Betenia is always on time and professional. Lydia is skilled and knows her products as well as state of the art technology. The entire staff is friendly and welcomes you from the minute you walk in the door well organized and clean store. I enjoy going there once a month and leave feeling 10 years younger.

I got a haircut about a month ago and the stylist was amazing and the haircut was only $21 for a mens haircut. I went back a few days ago and the stylist was gone, but I needed a haircut so I ended up getting one from the salon manager. She did a hack job on my hair and charged me $37 - which I would mind paying, IF the person actually did a good job. They should inform customers in advance that different people have different pricing - dont advertise a mans haircut for $21 and almost charge them double.

Brea did a great job when I had her, but I had Kylee another time because Bree wasn’t available, and she really struggled with my curly hair cut. It turned out really bad, past the point of being fixed because I didn’t want more length taken off. She had soaked it down after I reminded her how my curly hair boings up when it dries, and she cut it too short anyway. She also didn’t offer to dry my hair after wetting it down, and it was freezing outside — I had to ask, and then she started to blow it dry without using any product, so I had to ask her to do that, too, because she was drying it like you would straight hair.It was just a really clumsy service, all told, from the conversation to the haircut itself. I understand Kylee is probably really new and I still tipped her 20%, but I was really sad about my hair.I’m scared to go back to this location, so I’m going to find a stylist in Atlanta who specifically does dry cuts on curly hair.Update 3/3/2020: I was just informed by my new stylist at a new salon that the gloss I received from Kylee at the same time as my haircut was NOT a gloss, but that she had put permanent dye on my hair! I told Kylee specifically that I did not want permanent dye; I had just wanted a pigmented gloss! I am really frustrated with myself for ever trusting her with my hair... and by the way, the Ulta customer service email service blew me off. What a mistake. Changing rating from 3 stars to 1. Kylee straight up misled me, butchered my hair, was rude to me while I got my hair cut, and made chemical changes to my hair behind my back that I specifically asked her not to do.

I ran in for the first time since the relocation and was looking for a anti aging product. Everyone was super nice but I happened to talk to an employee Christy Lynn who was so helpful and friendly!! She gave me great advice!! She really knows skin care and I am so glad I met her!! This is a great Ulta and I will drive a little farther to shop there!!!

Great place for the ladies. Not a.man place unless you really like grooming with super expensive products. This place is so insanely expensive. Thats my biggest complaint.

Good selection but many times less expensive brands like Nyx have completely empty displays. Clean and bright. Nice variety of salon hair products.

I have been going to Lydia at the Ulta Salon in Alpharetta for almost 10 years. She does a great job on my cut and color every time and always listens to what I want. She makes my short hair look great every time I go and I wouldnt see anyone else!

This review is for the salon only. Love Lydia! Been going to her for about 4 years now. She gets my thick, curly 4A/B hair smooth and sleek with out damaging it while providing awesome customer service! She’s on time and always has a smile on her face. It’s hard to find someone in the burbs or in general who’s timely and knows how to do AA hair. Lydia certainly does. Go see her!

Terrible, terrible customer service. I went in at 3pm to get a fondation match for juvia place. I stood around the product counter for about 5 minutes that was a few feet from the front checkout counter. No one asked if I needed assistance, I then walked around the store and a vendor for smash box told me I had to ask the women at the counter. I asked the women at the counter who said hold on, I waited 20 minutes, no one came over and no help. I wasted a total of 30 minutes and no help, I left and wont be back.

Lydia does an amazing job in the salon with hair and makeup. I’ve been going here for more than 8 plus years. Sevice is quick and the stylist listens to your requests. Luv Ulta!

I always have great experiences at Ulta but this one in particular has the most amazing manager. She allowed me to return a product after 2 months because I couldnt go to the store earlier due to having delivered a baby.

I have been going to the Ulta Salon for over a year now for my hair needs and my stylist is Lydia. Lydia always does a great job with my hair, shes very professional and courteous and sweet. I just brought my entire bridal party and mother to her to do my wedding hair and I was extremely pleased with the results! Lydia is my go-to girl!

I live in Woodstock, but drive to Alpharetta because of the customer service at this location. It is top notch. Today for instance I was so tired, but went by after work to get my Benefit makeup. I was looking for some new eye shadow and not only did they help me find some but also offered to try it on me to see if I liked the colors. When I left I had a pep in my step, much more so than when I came in! Isn’t that the way excellent customer service should make us feel? Bravo to this location. Bravo!

The managers at this location arent good at their job. I cannot say more on what they did to my friend, but I will say, she was not treated well as their employee. I would give this location zero stars if possible.

Marissa was the most helpful and knowledgeable associate i have ever met and she was a delight to talk with she helped me find the product that nobody else knew about and even helped me pick out another product that worked with it also! Will definitely be returning!

Amanda did fantastic work. She did a great job repairing the damage another salon inflicted on my poor hair. I made a last minute appointment and she made room in her schedule to take me in on a Sunday. She was a true professional and didnt try to up sell me on anything. She was honest and upfront about the corrections she could make without damaging my hair. I left her chair happy and looking great. I made a follow up appointment to see her in 8 weeks.

I would recommend Lydia Betenia in the salon department if you are needing od any hair services. She has been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair for over 10 years. She has taken care of several of my friends upon my referral and they have all been so happy with her services and coloring. Keep up the great work Lydia, see you on my next visit.

One of the worst experiences of my life! The lady that gave the makeup lesson kept messing up resulting in a 2 hour lesson instead of 1...then she charged more money because it took soo long. She didnt do a lesson at all...I had to keep asking her to teach about a technique she was doing. She would give a sentence or two and then move on. Worst of all, the application resulted in a severe allergic reaction. I contacted the manager to speak of my experience. A week has passed and Ive yet to hear from anyone.

Great products, they almost always have what Im looking for. They have a great variety of brands. They checkout line, however, is ridiculously long every time I go, to the point that I dont even enjoy shopping there anymore.

I had my first appointment for a salon service at Ulta yesterday and I couldnt have been more pleased. My stylist was Kylee, and she had the challenge of tackling my long, easily tangled, super faded hair that hadnt been touched by a professional in like the last 8 months. Not only did she make my hair a gorgeous deep, dark, red but she made the entire process extremely relaxing. Usually since my hair is so long and knots up so easily, there is some discomfort involved in separating the hair for dyeing and blow drying. I dont know if Kylee is magic, but somehow she managed to get both processes done with no real tugging and pulling. I think she was the gentlest stylist on my hair that I have ever been to. She also gives a wonderful scalp massage at the shampoo bowl. I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately Everytime I come in here the customer service is awful, staff does not even greet you or offers help instead they are always up in a corner talking and minding their own business, and when you ask for help they have a very lazy attitude , I came in to return something and to purchase more stuff I had to ask a lady to match me , she was not even doing anything she was just standing there looking at the door like milking the clock and she match me to a very orange concealer and then when she was done didnt even offer makeup remover , are you serious??? do you want your customers walking around looking like clowns with an orange aye and a white eye???? My stylist, Bria, is amazing. She is the only person who gets my color shade, and cut perfect everytime. I have gone to so many high end salons in alpharetta who always messed up my blonde hair. I jumped on a limb and booked a appointment at Ulta, in a pinch, and it was the best decision ive ever made. I was so surprised. My hair looks perfect!!!! I have referred so many of my friends to Ulta now, their salon is amazing.

Ran into the store for their great shampoo sale and ended up talking to Deanna who is with the salon services. I talked to her about my hair woes that I experienced in Boston and she was quick to evaluate my hair color and recommend a solution. She took it a step further and said if I had time she could squeeze me in and get it done the same day. Long story short, she did an amazing job and my hair color is right back to where it shouldve been for a long time. Thank you so much Deanna- you are truly a wonderful professional artisan, knowledgable about the Redkin color line and so sweet with my two little ones. Best of all you delivered one hell of a color job for a lot less than Im used to paying in very upscale salons in Boston that botched my hair. I Highly recommend her and word to the wise she books fast!

I spend way too much here. The Perimeter location is usually much better stocked than the North Point location.

A Labor Day week vacation at the beach ended up with a lost, missing makeup bag. This bag contained my life. From foundation, blush, brushes and gloss to tweezers and hair clips. Shadi, sweet girl, I have no words. I was on the verge of tears realizing I needed to quiclky replace over $200 worth of cosmetics. She was sweet, helpful and even dug into her own supply to help me out. Thanks to her, I have a fabulous new array of makeup. Such a great and heartwarming experience. There are really great people out there and Ulta has an amazing cosmetics team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Staff needs to be trained on customer service to its diverse clients as much as the brand is dedicated to its diverse products.
