This Life Time Fitness center is really large. They have several pools, and a kids daycare center as well as a kids club. Large variety of machines but no old school stair steppers. Tons of electric machines so there are always plenty open, however the weight machines are not plentiful and when its busy, you have to wait. I wish they would enforce some sort of Covid protocols. They no longer ask people to wear masks. They do spray and clean the machines and provide lots of wipes and hand sanitizer. Their classes are great.

The amenities seem endless here. Every interaction with the staff has been exceptional, especially the aquatics instructors that are teaching my son how to swim! Love the classes, kids programs, towel service, eucalyptus steam room, and outdoor pools!! The Cafe and spa are nice perks as well.

Everything about this place is pretty nice - the locker rooms are really cool, the extra amenities like the pool and basketball court are nice and the cardio area/selection is huge. Now I only go on a guest pass every now and then with my roommate, too expensive for me - but I will say that some of the weightlifting equipment is pretty old. Everything works and is good condition, just at the price point per month they are asking I would expect some newer equipment with more features.

We called ahead and were told we could bring our 6 month old baby to swim at the pool, and that we could bring our own flotation device for him since they didn’t have any available for his size. After we got inside, carrying the floaty the whole way, changed the baby and ourselves into swimsuits and got outside, THEN they told us we couldn’t use our floaty. The staff was rude about the whole situation and refused to accommodate us or help us so we had to pack up all our stuff again and leave. If you’re going to require guests to use your flotation devices you should have them available for all size babies and kids. They did offer one smaller size life jacket for under 30 lbs but it still seemed too big for my 16 lb baby and the pool manager couldn’t even tell use how it was supposed to properly fit on the baby.

I love this place! Staff are super friendly and constantly cleaning. Lots of great workout and class options. Great aquatics areas. My only wish is that they could get machines repaired much faster, as they seem to sit for months inoperable.

The amenities are great! But the swimming lessons are disorganized and the aquatic management lady is rude. I had to look for the kids’ instructors on arrival and it takes a while until they figure out who the instructor is and what level the kids are supposed to be… need some level of professionalism here

For years we have been members, happily so.Today however, the level of disappointment and the inexcusably bad approach to client service has scarred this “relationship”. The gym’s staff/policies seem to be operating as a “cash grab” approach. It’s such a HUGE change from how they have operated in the past. No idea why/what has happened—perhaps the company has taken a bigger financial hit from covid.It is SUCH a shame, especially so given the gun and their leadership has historically had a client centric, professional approach.

I’ve been trying to find a new gym for months because I hate paying $130 a month to just use weights and cardio. There are so many amazing amenities for families but as an “empty nester” I’m never going to use the water slides or rock climbing wall or kids activities. However, that being said, this gym is so nice and so clean there is nothing else out there that even comes close. As much as I hate paying the crazy high monthly dues I am in love with this place. So until another gym comes along and offers similar foe cheaper I’ll keep paying the money.

Love this gym! Well worth the $90 when it’s 24 hours. My issue is that it still is not 24 hours and prices are the same. I was going to cancel in October but was told they would be going back to regular hours in November. I ended up keeping my membership for another 3-4 months and was only able to go about one time average in that period.Membership is canceled now; but will gladly resign up to when gym hours are back to being open 24 hours

No one showed up to open the gym . Something I have seen at other gyms but those gyms are 4 rimes less money per month. I don’t blame the person who normally opens. I blame management for not having a sound backup process

This place has gone far down hill since I have been coming for the past 10 years. The gym is always crowded during the day especially in the summer with everyone’s college kid home for the summer with nothing else to do. So you are constantly fighting for a spot to work out, and there is always someone breathing right on top of you. The personal trainers with their trainees and fitness classes take up an already maxed out gym, and heaven forbid you should get in the way of one of the trainers they will bite your head off or use one of the cardio machines “reserved” for one the special fitness classes. You might have rocks thrown at you. The gym culture is interesting... A lot of the women I see are dressed up to the nines ready to go to the prom with full on hair and makeup done. All they are missing are the high heels. It’s a competition to see who can wear the skimpiest and most coordinated outfit to the gym. It’s definitely not an environment to go and enjoy just working out with other people just focused also on working out. I would say for the $100 price tag per month it’s not worth it if you are wanting to just work out. If you are wanting a place to go to socialize, be noticed, and show off your $250 perfectly coordinated lululemon outfit it might be the place for you. I will say all of the staff are very friendly and I will miss that.

I want to give a shout out to Oscar :) My 5 yr old is obsessed with lion king characters. I showed him the picture of the lion king cut outs they had at the entrance. The next day i brought him but they had changed. The characters. He was sad to say the least. The manager there told us that shed let Oscar know eho had created these for kds.My son was ecstatic to see the lion king cut outs today he was literally jumping with joy. Oscar gave him two cut outs as souvenirs.Thank you Oscar for going above andbeyond! Thank you so much! Lifetime is our go-to now because of you!

Just because they can charge $110 Just because of the name of the facility and it’s because in Allen.The a guest services I guess her name was Hope or Casey be aware she’s all about charging you. she was really rude and she had an attitude and she telling me that we cannot change any pricing. I was told to upgrade it’ll be $50 more than the other club. which I have no problem with if it would come with something as Appreciation that you’ve been doing business with us for a past 8 to 10 years. Also, most people sit on the machine and take space, and their machines are so old as their gold club. So again what am I paying for. My problem is I have been with the club for that long and since I am one person I have to pay 110 and no discount this is absolutely robbery, and for them to tell me just because of the location At least change your machines and then say because of the location your machines are the same thing but even worse you can’t even change your filter in woman’s locker room. Most of their water Fountains need a filter or they’re out of work most of the machines are out of work till further notice their old that’s my problem you’re collecting money for WHAT?

Lifetime fitness is great. I told myself I would never pay that much money a month for a gym but i wouldnt go anywhere else now. The kids club is great. My kids like to go to the gym and play. They offer tons of classes and all the instructors are great. If you do go at 9 to 10am or 4 to 6pm the gym is busy but its not like all the cheap gyms that all the kids are hanging out. Everyone there is there to workout not sit on there phone or hangout. They do have there own shampoo, soap, and conditioner in the showers so that was a plus for me so i didnt have to bring my own. If you have kids they do a parents night out at least once a month thats included so.if you take advantage of that then your kids membership is pretty much free. My kids love going to the parents night out.

Great place for cardio but only an ok place for anything else.Firstly I must say that this location is kept very clean by a very hard working staff. They seem to do regular rounds of the locker rooms and work out areas. The staff are all friendly, professional, and always helpful.That being said it does get pretty frustrating that the gym has a pretty small area dedicated to benches and machines. You gotta be pretty flexible with your workouts to get anything done.All in all it’s a decent place for the price

It’s a great gym, the only things that keep it from being an amazing gym are things like the super coarse towels in the locker room and the fact that the pools are always taken by the swim team. Otherwise, it’s my favorite gym!

Lifetime is definitely the most expensive gym, however its completely worth it! Its more like a club rather than just a gym. Sure, its got top of the line equipment and workout space. But what really makes it worth the extra money is the surrounding perks..... Pools, hang out spaces, rock climbing, the cafe, the spa, and mostly the childcare center. The staff there are SO sweet to the kids.I stay at home with my toddler, and the last time I took her to the childcare center and just hung out. There is a comfortable seating area in the locker room with a TV. I was able to take a break, answer emails, make phone calls all while my toddler was getting worn out with the other kids. I never even made it upstairs to the gym😅 but I loved having a mommy break😍

Adding to my review, it is now March, Friday the 13th 2020 and traveled to other LTF and ALLEN still holds on to their low ranking. Corona grows more incense. ALLEN does look like they cleaned up all the gross hair but not doing good to show a presence upstairs constantly cleaning. It was 90 minutes before seeing someone. See the additional pics I captured.By far the worst cleanliness LTF in the nation as of March 7, 2020. I travel for a living and workout at several LTF locations from Orlando to Denver. I have complained and showed pics to the ALLEN, TX management and they offer you LT Bucks to make you go away. Enough is enough. I would think with this Corona thing going on they would step up their game. Just horrible.

TIME IS MONEY!Just imagine you have been waiting more than 40 mins to get a tour and in the end you don’t receive besides hearing their apologies.Sorry not sorry! If it was your shift time and no one would assist us you should’ve told us to come back another time. But making someone waited longer than the time (5-10 min) you promised is not acceptable. You lost two members.

I have been a member of lifetime for over 2 years and the Allen site doesn’t take the covid virus serious at all. As soon as I walked in the weight room 12 people were not wearing masks. 3 trainers on the floor never once said anything to them about putting a mask on. 5 of them didn’t even wipe down the equipment after using it. Lifetime cares more about the membership dues, trainers getting paid to train members than they care about keeping members safe by enforcing the mask required signs. If stores can ask customers to leave why can’t a place that encourages healthy lifestyles do the same? I only gave 2 stars because I saw an employee cleaning the bathroom

After reopening from the pandemic close down, they still close early (10 on weekdays and 9 on weekends.) Theres literally no reason to close early because their workers walk around spraying down all of the equipment 30 minutes before they close, causing you to sit in drenched equipment because theyre in a rush to get out at exactly closing time. Still paying full price even though theyre no longer a 24 hour gym. This place is no longer worth the cost, will be looking at other gyms.

At this place they kept this rope for over 6 months broke. I spoke with their employees several times without an action. They were always telling me that they ordered one and it has not arrived. the weight of this rope is around 25 lbs. After they replaced, they got another rope over 50 LBS. As of now , they have tow rope that over 50 lbs.As a professional Gym, you should have two ropes with two different weight.By the way, this rope is $69 on Amazon

The equipments are good enough. However, all the pedals of the ellipticals are very dirty, just like some one had a muddy shoes and stepped on it but Lifetime never clean them.Common, you charge a lot of money please keep the facility classy with your price

I have been a member at Lifetime for close to 10 years. They normally increase their fees annually and recently added 2.5% surcharge for credit card auto payments. I rarely see many companies charging surcharge for auto pay except governments or IRS. They said they sent a notice, but really with all the emails they sends daily, do they expect us to follow all changes? So to me, this fee is avoidable and secondly, they should come up with a better way to notify when fees are changed. For example, we use the app everyday, why not have a pop up alert so we can see it right there.On top of that, they tried to cut classes, removed good teachers/trainers. I have to go to Plano for classes even though i live closer to Allen ( double the time, 30 mins trip instead of 12 mins). If not because of the Planos classes, I would have cancelled my membership.

I have been to quite a few Lifetimes all over the country but this is the one closest to my house. I took away two stars because star# 1. The pools are only available sporadically and the water slides as well. They are closed for the year well before it gets cold and open for the year well after it starts getting warm outside star #2. The ladies locker room showers are not cleaned thoroughly and there are usually big clumps of black hair on the walls and in the drains. I would highly recommend wearing shoes into the shower area. Other than these two things this is a decent gym with friendly staff and good equipment that is in working order

My experience at Lifetime does not meet basic expectations. The staff, especially managers and trainers are the worst. No customer service, youre lucky if they acknowledge your existence! Moreover, they DO NOT CLEAN well at all during this Covid-19 pandemic. It is a breeding ground waiting to happen. But then again, this club has gone downhill and is not known for its friendliness or cleanliness! Go elsewhere!

Apparently the personal trainers aren’t paid enough salary, so they make unauthorized drafts from your account. A trainer by the name of Jaylynn is not interested in your personal fitness goals, instead he wants to manipulate and STEAL from his clients for financial gain. While training you, he walks away and goes to talk to female members he is trying to date. I put my membership on hold, and he harassed me about trainings sessions that I did not need. Obviously he couldn’t wait until I returned to the gym because he drafted over $900 from my account. I should press charges.

Amazing gym. You only get one life why not go to the gym that has every possible need available and more. Luxurious and well maintained. This one is especially a great location because I don’t have to wait 15-20 min in between workout machines/free weights. Perfect for those who have a busy schedule and want to get their workout in everyday. What was a 2-3 hour workout over at the Plano location is now 1 hour max due to the availability of equipment. Regional manager is an awesome guy. I can’t wait to take advantage of the free training and spa treatment I received. They truly take care of their members as I have been one since the mid 2004. Best gym for a reason.

Used to be a great gym. Unfortunately with coronavirus many of the customers dont comply with the precautions. The staff tries their best.

Great club, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, full spa with sauna, steam room, showers, indoor and outdoor pool, soccer field, basketball arena, rock climbing wall, yoga studios, and of course elliptical, treadmills and free weights and training machines. Towels galore! Nice music too! Smoothies and snacks and salon!

I stared going to this gym recently and I’ve had a good experience. They offer good classes with your membership. My favorite has been the AMP Cycle class with Adriana. She makes it so fun. I also like their Shred class. I also drop my baby off at the child center and the girls are so friendly and take good care of the children in there. I’m comfortable dropping my baby off and having a peace of mind while working out. I also like the cafe there. They have different food options and smoothies. I haven’t tried any spa services but it’s nice to have the option there.

Pretty consistent with other Lifetimes, reason for only 4 stars is that this location needs more cycling bikes in the cardio area. There is i my 1. The rest of the “bikes” are the ones with seats that are not true cycling bikes.

The place is great. BUT.... they are raising monthly dues. Not Sure why if reduced hours translates into reduced operating costs. Times like Covid 19 is when we help each other. Not raise prices....

Life Time Fitness for me is one of a kind. I have had gym membership for over 15 years. I have tried them all from Baileys, to 24 Hour Fitness. Its my opinion that the others are on a lower level. I work out at the Allen Location. Everyone is super nice. They make you feel welcome every time. Its clean and the machines are new and utilize the latest in technology. This location has it all, free weights, classes, yoga, steam room, sauna, inside and outside pools and free towels. You almost feel like its a spa, vs. A gym.Life Time Fitness in Allen gets 5 stars in my book.

Im a new member, and I joined because all the safety rules regarding COVID. After my first visit, and disappointment the staff don’t care about the rules neither safety of the members in regards COVID-19. In the workout area there are lots of people without masks, and not following any of social distancing recommendations. All this makes working out in peace very difficult, cause I had to move away or stop using a machine cause right next to me someone started working out with out mask. The LF staff in other locations will ask you to cover your face.

Truly blessed & grateful to be a member of the LT Fitness familia! Everyone is absolutely phenomenal, from the team at the front desk to my membership consultant, Brady, to put the icing, sprinkles, and caramel drizzle on the top!My only area of improvement requests are that the bathroom stall areas (in the men’s, at least) have a bit more refreshing smell, along with being tad bit cleaner.Outside of that, the gym is truly phenomenal! 👌🏼Many Blessings in The Love of Christ, to you all! 🙏🏼

This spa is amazing! They have weekend and evening hours to make it convenient. Your kids can be supervised in the childcare center while you get you hair done. And Everyone at the spa is amazing. Christine has been doing my hair. She’s a phenomenal colorist!

Unbelievable customer service.They want your money and want a LOT of it- and then put people in charge that have neither the inclination nor ability to assist customers.Half the items on the cafe menu (Cocoa Nibs, amongst others) are constantly not available.I went in and asked for the manager- I had tried to order several items in January (I know - $9 for a smoothie it’s my own fault) and they were out.Everyone make excuse after excuse WITH ATTITUDE - how hard is it to keep something you can buy literally down the street at Costco in stock that is on your menu?Anyway I said screw it- I’ll just stop getting anything there and will take my meal $$$ elsewhere.Decided to try it again this weekend.Guess what? Don’t have several items I asked about available yet.I asked for the manager- was given some guy who actually said to me “Oh, I can’t help you. It’s not my department and I don’t know anything about it”So there you go. Never again. What a waste of a beautiful - once beautiful brand.

Been a member of this club for many years - it is one of the most well-run clubs in the country. The sales staff is well-trained from the very top. Lifetime should be proud to have this club as a part of their fleet.

Matthew the Assistant Manager was very helpful with my membership issue. Gilbert and Zachary are great trainers and the facility is top notch. Definitely worth paying a little more for the amenities.

This place really needs to step it up. The gym always has issues with one thing or another . The staff, other than a few great trainers and check in staff as well as salon are horrible. They take these jobs and lack motivation or concern with keeping the gym clean and up to health code. It is mostly the locker and cleaning attendants ,again most of them not all, just could really care less. Its too bad for what has potential to be a great gym.

My experience was with Gill to discuss memberships offer. I never met account manager full of lies, not professional and very rude like her. Don’t waste your time and money.

I’m a fan of the facilities but this company is a complete disaster in terms of customer loyalty and service. But somehow they always manage to increase the rates without fixing any of the problems. Even a replacement card cost 5 dollars when you are paying 100 bucks a month to workout here. I guess I will have to take home some towels to offset the price 😂

Kudos to the Allen Lifetime Fitness Mgt and staff for a primo re-opening.They were all prepared and ongoing cleaning and sanitizing is exceptional.This place is cleaner than most hospitals.The CDC and CNN should take note of the benefits of keeping healthy people physically and emotionally healthy.Chronic cabin fever and living like a hermit cave person can take a toll on your immune system and morale. This can manifest into obesity etc.LTF sets the pace is healthy and fitness.Bravo 👏

We have been going for over a year now and weve had some positive experiences and some negative ones as well. I gave a 3 star rating due to some of the trainers. For the most part we get along with the majority of the trainers, but two of them were completely unprofessional and rude, i.e. one experience I had with i believe Jeff, I was literally in the middle of my set and he approached from behind and says how many more sets you got, I didnt answer hoping he would get a clue, but he didnt and continued, so I grab my stuff and walked off... how about waiting till a member is done with their set and how about introducing yourself, just a thought, I pay money here too and I was there first, trainer or not wait your turn, Ive never once in my 20 years in the gym interrupted someone mid-set. The second negative experience I had with one of the trainers ( tall guy with glasses, I just did my first set on the ab bench, he comes over and yet again doesnt introduce himself, and ask how many more sets you got, I say 4 as I just did my first set, apparently that blew his mind because he gets a rude smirk on his face and goes wow and then turns his back to me, even after that treatment I still offer the old do you want work in with me he says no and continues on... they need to take some notes from Zachary (trainer) hes a good dude and a professional and seems to have respect for everyone in the gym not just the ones his training. My suggestions are simple, dont interrupt members in the middle of their set, introduce yourself and be respectful, itll go a long way!

I would like a refund every time you have more than one machine out of service with 2-3 trainers using the ones that are good. Today there are 5 machines out of service, this gym decided couple years ago to remove lots of machines to add some jungle bar thing but rarely used. Lifetime, you are not cheap, fix your issues.Edited on 04/19/19 ⭐️⭐️ To ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I have to say that they did a good job upgrading the equipment. Still some things that can improve but overall good so far. I still think that monkey bar should be gone.

The A/C is annoying. The racquetball courts are always super cold and make your muscles tight/cause dizziness. It’s annoying that they are like that because of how expensive of a gym it is. You’d expect it to at least be somewhat warm in the racquetball courts since it’s summer. Hopefully it’s fixed soon because it isn’t what someone would expect in a gym that costs so much.

Ive played professional sports. And in one word that I can describe this place is —vacation. I love Lifetime. Lifetime has everything you can wish for, on any level.From Pro levels to just once a week dance class. I genuinely feel privileged to have an opportunity to work out here. And yes, the staff is super helpful most of the time; plus-minus, some front desk staff that can skew the image into a negative one. If I can suggest anything it would be—please, select front desk staff with little more attention to details, sometimes the feel like cops/bouncers and they make you feel unwelcome to the club.

Not a bad LifeTime the layout is similar to the Plano location which is nice. It does need a bit of an update a few of the machines were broken and the lockers have seen better days but all in all I liked it. Not very busy late at night which I love. This will be the other location Ill be frequenting.

I have loved Lifetime for years. You just cant find a more attentive staff with all the amenities provided by the gym. I rejoined this month for the first time in four years (away at college) and I am thrilled to be back! Immediately got training with Ryan Killough and have enjoyed every session. He is attentive and adaptive to my knee problems while pushing me to work harder. I expect in the next few months to see the results I have wanted from my health routine as well as an increase in my knees strength. Love being a lifetime member!

I love Lifetime! You get what you pay for! Yes, it is a little $, but the place is clean and the equipment and classes are wonderful. They have a kids club, hair salon , pool with slides, cafe! Lifetime is amazing!

Lifetime is a great place for you to come for the entire family to live a healthy way of life. If you arent sure how to do that then they will gladly give you some direction and knowledge to get you started. I reccomend checking out the 60 day program.

If u need a trainer Eric is the person u need to ask for. I have never stepped in a gym before and he made me feel so welcomed, he took his time teached me and explained to me what matchine do and how to keep a pose and i had so much fun for my first day assessment. Thank you Eric your the best

This location is busy Monday - Thursday mornings, noon and night. Come after 8:30 pm before 6am if your not a fan of crowds and actually want to do a full workout without waiting for equipment. I love the brand and the amenities

Love it here. The child center is always helpful and my kids always want to go back. Everything else (pool, yoga, spin, rock climbing, racquetball, basketball personnel etc) is spot on. Its certainly a bit pricy, but absolutely worth it if you actually go.

If you play basketball this is not a the gym for you. They have 4 basketball gyms but they use any and all chances to close all but one down for any kids camp (during Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, Whole month of March cause of Spring Break camps, pretty much all summer while kids are out of school) outside tournaments or anything else they can find. So makes all the pool that actually pay for a membership have to squeeze into 1 court and cant even play a real game, kind of hard to do when 50 people are shooting on 2 baskets. Way to be greedy Lifetime!!

I LOVE LIFETIME FITNESS! SO MUCH TO DO. IT IS CLEAN AND TOP-NOTCH EQUIPMENT AND PROGRAMS. IF YOU MOVE, YOU PUT YOUR ACCOUNT ON HOLD FOR A FEW BUCKS A MONTH AND A FEE UNTIL YOU COME BACK. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CHEAP GYMS, THEY ARE OUT THERE.

Fabulous place. Its pricey but they deliver a higher level than others. Their equipment is top notch and is always in perfect condition. Everything is clean as well.. They obviously hire real hard as they have a high level of professionalism. Much more than I would expect from the younger persons on the staff. Wonderful people.

Im shocked on all the negative reviews on here! My husband and I go to lifetime four times a week. My husband also runs basketball camps through the Mavericks there in the summertime. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Bathroom area has always been very clean and fresh towels every time I walk in the door. This is not a low time fitness arena. You pay for what you get and I pay for good service. Good Job staff!

Have been a member of Lifetime fitness for the past 5 years I currently have a Diamond membership which is one of the most expensive memberships available. Very rarely I come to this location 3 times in the past 4 months because I recently moved to this area. Because I work out once a month to with a one of my friends that live in area.Every single time I have come to this location the front desk person by the name candence has been rude completely unapologetic about it.The first time he came to this location my friend had given him a week pass that I requested for him and she made it a big deal and had him do all the process of signing up to end up using one of my 3 monthly guest passes.The second time I came in and she had the same attitude and I told her I did not wake up an extra early to talk to her and yet she held my friend at the front desk until she talked to someone to allow him back in.And today we arrive and we had the same issue. Even though she know us. Already she denied access to the facility because she wanted to and denied the access because he did not bring his passport with him even though we have fillies our that form 3 times already.I don’t know how many people you have kicking your door willing to pay hundreds of dollar in training and memberships but with this kind of costumer services you will drive them all away.I will not recommend This location while Candence is still working the front desk.
