This cabela’s store is beautiful inside. Everything is where it should be. The shelves were stocked and nothing just crammed where it might fit like other stores I have seen. Took some time for a first gander and was incredibly pleased. Every department was well stocked and beautifully maintained. The only downside was the lady at the entry yelling at people about discounts. Totally annoying to be greeted with her shrill voice. However, the checkout employee was very kind and the employees throughout the store were busy doing their jobs but helpful IF needed.

Amazing place with all kind of stuff to fish, hunt and etc, etc.

The archery department went above and beyond yesterday to get my wife and I set up and ready. It was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. Great job archery department!

I went there to sell my handgun. The price they gave me was fair, better than other places I contacted. Their pricing method (algorithm) was transparent and I understand how they determined the price. The paperwork was thorough and I left knowing that the weapon is no longer registered in my name.

I went into the Cabelas in Allen TX to look at hunting boots. Dolores Murry that worked in the footwear department was extremely helpful in showing me what was available and getting boots from the back that weren’t on display to try on. I look forward to put the boots to work and thankful for folks like Dolores that came into work to help me out! :)

The epitome of outdoor gear and supplies. This place is massive with practically everything you want from hunting and fishing to swim wear and dog supplies. Truly a one stop place for all of your needs. The selection of product is impressive and affordable. The boat selection has a knowledgeable sales representative there and helped buying one a cinch. Definitely recommend this store to those looking for a nice walk or for actual equipment.

I love walking around Cabelas. The store has just about anything you could want for hunting fishing boating. Huge gun counter and they actually have a lot of guns in stock.

It was ok. They didnt have my daughters size in shoes that she really wanted. The workers tried their best.

I havent had too many experiences with Cabelas but every single trip to this location has been stellar. Some of the nice people Ive encountered in any store, hands down. They made my recent exchange easy and effortless.

I havent yet had a bad experience at Cabelas. They had the product I was looking for, the people that helped were knowledgeable and great to work with. They made sure I was satisfied with my purchase and that I had everything I needed. There was no pressure to buy more than what I came for. Excellent experience overall.

Who doesnt love cabelas. Even in these trying times with shortages almost every where, they manage to still have an excellent inventory of almost everything.Stop by for any of your outdoor needs and Im sure they can accommodate you with what you need. Just make sure that your wallet is full before walking in because there are almost no bargains here

Store was super clean. Employees were really nice. I was restocking all my fishing equipment and there was an employee named Jimmy working the fishing section and he was going above and beyond to help me find things I was looking for. Super nice guy.

Only giving one star because that is the minimum I can give. In my own opinion ever since Bass Pro purchased Cabelas customer service ( phone & in store) has gone down hill. I used to spend lots of money in my local Cabelas store ( Allen, Tx. ) & I am also a current club member as well. Today I called my local store to get a simple question answered & got transferred 3 times before I ultimately got transferred to the right department the 4 time just to have a employee say he cant hear me. I am going to have to think hard if I want to remain a club member & card holder if this is the type of service Im going to get.

Called for verification of a rifle in stock and was told that it was there. Drove 2 hours to buy it and was told it was only in stock as a technicality and sent off with a too bad.

Good selection and some staff were friendly. Havent been back to Cabelas in years. Selection of guns are good, not much ammo still.

Called in to see what ammunition was available. Was told that there was ammo available. Drove 25 minutes only to be told that they wont be putting ammo out until the following morning. I was frustrated, however, I understand mistakes happen. The Manager called me and said she wasnt willing to even put aside any ammo, not even one box, just to make it right.Today I called in and was transferred not once...not twice...not three times...BUT 8 TIMES to different departments only to continue to be transferred because ABSOLUTELY NOBODY THERE cared to actually do their job and simply go check a shelf.Finally, I get to Seth who was actually helpful and didnt just transfer me to whatever counter that had nothing to do with ammunition. He helped me and told me that they were out of anything I needed. Shocker. However, Seth was the ONLY PERSON after a 20 minute transfer brain damage process that was willing to actually help. Thank you, Seth! Glad to know someone there gives a damn about customer service!

Great place for shopping or just to visit. Staff doesn’t hound you but are there for assistance if you ask them. They have everything here, camping, hunting, fishing, archery, cubs, tents, outdoor wear, grills, boats, you name it. There are always good deals to be found if you look for them. Good stuff.

I love Cabelas so it hurts me to only give 3 stars- but the story must be told. I was going there on one of my regular trips to look for ammo (they are one of the few places I know that still has a > 50% chance of finding handgun ammo). My grave disappointment was because they had a sale price marked on one of their floats outside. I tried to buy it inside and they didnt have it. They said i had to order it online. Well, the online price was $40 more. I asked if they would sell me the wall display and they said no. I asked if they would take $40 off any in-stock model and they said no. The only choice was pay full price for the online order and then come back after it was delivered and appeal to the manager to perform a price correction- which they would not commit that they would perform. They said if i received it and they wouldnt match the price later, they would refund my online purchase as a return. POUND SAND CABELAS!!! Ill keep going here for ammo because I must- but ill look elsewhere for my other sporting goods purchases first.

I have gone online and to the actual store. They pretty much do things by the book. As for the website user friendly and no issue finding what I need. At the store it is nice and plenty of inventory to look around for a couple of hours

I called to find out if I was able to return a firearm and asked several times during the call if I was able to, I took off work early and drove over an hour to make it before closing. When I arrived I was told I was unable to return the firearm and I could sell it for less than I paid on consignment, I paid around $1000. I understand not being able to return it but please train your customer service reps on your return policy, I lost 2 hours of work and gas just to be told no. It was a waste of all parties time involved.

Great selection and the staff I have encountered were all knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They have something for everyone. I usually spend longer than I had planned there because they have so much to look at.

Will not shop here again! I purchased a pair of $200 dollar Oakley sunglasses on Saturday Morning. A lens fell out and broke while wearing them on Sunday. I took them back to the store on Tuesday and was informed that they do not exchange damaged items, the best they could do is offer me 50% off a replacement pair of glasses. This was obviously a manufactures error as they did not even last 24 hours! I do not think it is unreasonable to expect a store to exchange a product that was so blatantly defective. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere that takes pride in the products they sell.

If Cabellas doesnt have what you think youneed in terms of hunting, fishing, paddeling, and boating, you probably dont need it. My wife has to keep me on a short leash when Im in there. Sometimes I sneak in by myself.....Heaven! Fishing is my fav.I think Im ready for everything. Ive got a lure for every fish on the planet and a few for nearby solar systems. If somebody comes up with 12 step withdrawal program for overaccumulating fishing kit, I might be interested!Bottom line: Give them a try!Ive met a lot a lot of fishermen there masquerading as Cabellas employees andthey are ALL fun and good people!

Really nice and big store! Definitely recommend everyone to go and check out the wide array of items ranging from clothes to just about anything you can think of.

Tim is amazing and patient working with customers who have never touched a firearm ever. He gave brief effective instructions,with great weapon suggestions.

Its a big box store so they are usually well stocked. Great selection of clothes and accessories for camping hunting fishing ect. A little light staffed, but the ones I encountered where knowledgeable of the layout and pointed me where I wanted to go. Also good gun selection if you are lookin for a new bolt gun and had some common calibers on the shelf including 5.56, 9mm, 10mm, .308win and a few hunting cartridges

Cables, what is there to say about this outdoorsman or outdoorswoman mega store. Just awesome, fair values. The merchandising team dont just buy the highest margin generic items, but also the names brands you have grown up to trust.

Had a really great customer service rep help me out. Spent 45 minutes looking the huge place over. Go to check out. 10 registers, only 1 open with 5 others in line. Club member staff just standing around. Have to ask to get help. The checkout is the Last AND Most important part of the whole experience. Unfortunately, this check out ruined the whole great experience I had.Take note Cabellas. Quit acting like Walmart. You have those registers for a reason and its not to collect rust.Oh, another thing. All the USA flag clothing should be made on the USA, not China, Iran and Pakistan. Get real.

People here seem a bit overworked. Besides the greeters at the front door, everyone is pretty low energy. The selection is great though.

I went in looking for couple of guns and the sales people that assisted had no personality, and was of no help. I have got better assistance purchasing a used gun from a pawn dealer then here. Whole experience rubbed me wrong. I WONT ever step foot in this establishment again. By law this statement!!!

Went to get my first rifle, have handguns and shotgun already. First time looking at guns here and Chris was awesomely patient and knowledgeable. Ended up buying two! Extremely good experience here and I got an awesome deal. Highly recommend!

So big and so rich and so professional with sales promotions everywhere

Awesome place, lots of taxidermy everywhere and great attention by the personal staff even tho they tried to make me subscribe to some thing. They have all sorts of equipment for camping, hunting and being out there in general. I bought a simple Jansport bag that has come out great. Also really liked the little aquarium they have and the little land with animals they built.

They were able to deliver the boat that Id been eyeing for a while at an awesome price. Chris was awesome through the process. Thanks Cabelas!

I enjoy going in but the people at the front are at the point of harassing when approaching about the credit card program. Even after informing of my existing card they still persist in applying again.

I love this store! It has almost everything you may need. I was here the day theStore opened and Im still coming here.However, now that Bass Pro Shops has bought Cabelas, corporate is making changes in the gun dept. Not for the better.

Connor was a great help, but we had to wait at least 15 minutes in the shoe department for someone to help us. Several other couples /families/individuals were also waiting. Most of their shoes are right there so you can self serve, but the ones on the wall were not... Including the snow boots (which were what I needed).Once we got Connor there, though, he was great! Very friendly, knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful. In fact he was the main reason I felt comfortable going ahead and buying the $189 boots.Mostly the ratings online are high, but a few people said they didnt keep their feet warm. But, Cabelas assured me they would be returnable if I wear them in Montana next week and they dont keep my feet warm, so I went ahead and bought the expensive ones (I hate having cold feet). I did try the Cabela version, but the lacing was a struggle and couldnt be made tight enough in the ankle to offer any support at all for walking on ice and snow, so, even at 1/3 the price, they didnt feel like a good deal. So, I hope these are worth the cost. Theyre rated to - 25° F so I should be set.

I went to purchase an accessory for a handgun. An employee (who’s name I will omit) decided to show me how it would mount on one of the handguns. He then decided to muzzle sweep me at least three times while demonstrating how to mount the accessory. I don’t care that (it is not loaded). Really bad muzzle awareness by this employee. However, Mike in the sunglasses department was very helpful (I was also looking for good eye protection). Unfortunately, the good didn’t outweigh the bad for this shopping experience.

Went to see Santa, it was very nice. They had activities for the children to do, and the nativity scene was great!

The place is huge and there are tons of options for every possible item: rifles, mounts, ammo, grills, hunting supplies, clothing, etc. I would live here if they allowed me.

Effective Mar 10th they will still practice virus mitigation but not require customers to wear masks. They can if they want but otherwise customers choice. We have shopped here several times since they opened years ago. Lots and lots of great stuff and helpful staff. On this trip we got a new water jug but no joy; still out of stock on popular rifle/pistol/shotgun ammo. One clerk suggested coming before store opens and get whats on shelf. Best of luck.

I have been able to get ammo before they increased the prices due to demand. Glad I shopped early. Wont pay these outrageous prices !! 00 buck is now basically 2 dollars a round..

Mixed review. Great selection but some staff have a chip on their shoulder. On several occasions we’ve visited and received inaccurate information and then scolded by other staff. One example was “club hours.” We were told when we signed up for the card we would get access to the store an hour early then we’re laughed at when we followed up. Went to buy ammo and we told about limits. We get to the counter and see everyone else with 5X what we had and customer service was like oh well rules change all of the time. Another time we went during an ammo delivery day and staff were filming and mocking customers. I get the rush and the controlling but even that is disorganized. Sadly I watched 5 employees walking off with handfuls of ammo that they went and hid in the store. I sadly filmed three employees hiding ammo and the mocking statements. 🤷‍♂️I like the store and the selection but leadership can set a better tone a communication to customers.

Love the store but the cashier that check my husband and I out was rude and disrespectful. He snatched money out my husbands hand when he paid and he never gave a smiled, he didnt speak and he had an attitude. He is the kind of person that will make your customer service and sales go down. I stayed professional because of my kids and we was in a hurry. Next time Im needed to see his boss face to face. So Ill update you all on my experience when I go for the second time(whenever that may be). Maybe it will be better. Ill give them a second chance because everyone deserves a a chance. But Your First Impression Is Everything. 😉

This store refused to let me return an item that was paid for with cash without a receipt even though it was brand new unused they also refused store credit on another item very very poor customer service. This was a father Days gift it has Cabelas tag on it and original packaging.

Very friendly staff and helpful even when theyre very busy they still found the time and Santa Claus town was amazing our granddaughter and Santa Claus they were absolutely professional we will be going back.
