Low quality care. The psychiatrist haphazardly prescribed pills in 5 minute sessions without sufficiently explaining the risks. On one occasion, he went as far as trying to convince me which political candidates to vote for (not exactly unbiased medical advice). The therapist failed to provide meaningful insights into etiology, failed to adequately address the family system, and had a shallow approach (on more than one occasion, all he could offer was a TV show recommendation). Look elsewhere if youre looking for healing.

Mary Betsy Gamlin is such an absolute sweet lady. She has helped me so much in my time seeing her. She is such an understanding and caring person and Im so glad I was able to get help from her.

I have gone here in the past and currently do as well. The Professional staff is great and I have recommended them to friends and family. The downfall is that you never get a call back or an email response. This is something that I think is extremely important. If I didnt like my therapist so much, I would go else where just because of this.

Mary Betsy Gamlin at PBS is a Nurse Practicioner at the Algonquin and Inverness offices providing psychiatric services and medication management. Ive had my fair share of psychiatrists and Betsy is hands down the best in the business. She does her homework, she takes her time with you, and she genuinely cares for you and your well being. I was having medication induced seizures thanks to a psychiatrist who shouldnt be practicing and Betsy safely weaned me off the unnecessary medications and kept me on what she felt was absolutely needed. Since being diagnosed with my condition I have never been so stable thanks to her. She talks to me like a human being and actually listens. Shes been wonderful enough to allow my support to come into my appointments to meet her and they were absolutely thrilled as professionals themselves and we need more providers like Betsy. She is not what they call a pill pusher and works WITH you to see what the best course of treatment would be for you. Shes honest and if theres a question she cant answer she consults with one of her colleagues and resolves the situation. I honestly trust her with my life and I cant say that lightly. I highly recommend Betsy if youre looking for a psychiatrist and someone to talk to. Shell change your world!

Dr. Gamlin & Katie Johnson are both wonderful; both are easy to talk to, genuinely caring, and very good at what they do. I feel super lucky to have found them both. The office staff here is also very kind and helpful!

I was at a difficult time in my life. I didnt know where to go with problems with wife and our kids. I couldnt solve the problems as they were too much. After spending a few sessions with a counselor and a little later, a psychiatrist, things changed. Not only for me, but my family as they too got involved in counseling and treatment. From the office staff to the providers who helped us out, thank you so much! You guys are great.
