I don’t know who the front desk receptionist is but they are the rudest person I have ever talk to on the phone they need to learn phone etiquette. Just because someone’s not a client I have a question if you don’t have an answer to my question you don’t hang the phone up on me and say you’re not a client by hangup so I don’t know who the man is but I hope your attorney sees this and find someone else to run his front desk! Sounds like a Hispanic man I wish I knew your name because I definitely will put your name on here 10.20.21 to 2:46 I was hung up on after being told that because I’m not a client they don’t answer questions. That’s fine if you don’t answer questions if I’m not a client before you up hang the phone up on me you’re in the wrong industry because if I was a client or a potential client you already lost business for your attorney!

My lawyer Spencer Reiss was very comforting, at first I had someone else within the firm and they were just treating my case like it was just another on their pile. Once I received him as my lawyer he was on top of things, answered questions, gave me the right guidance, and actually advocated for me. I first had another one within the firm who was just terrible and did not care about my case at all. He didnt make me feel like my race played a role in his level of professionality which was extremely important for me. I had to experiences with the firm and the very first one was really disappointed the way the lawyer handle my case assuming something without consulting the client (me) first. Lawyer searched and proceed for the easy way to solve the vas and get the money from me. I am really disappointed about that even though I have recommended the firm already because each case its different but still what the lawyer did was not the best option I know I made a mistake and can take my responsibility for it but I was expecting a better resolution not Ive that will stay for years in my record without even trying a little from the lawyer. I must say am really impressed with the services I received from Noval Legal Group. The first time was about a year ago when I called Mr. Wilson the morning of my court day. He immediately took interest in my case and walked me through what to say and do. Finally the charges was dropped from MISDEMEANOR to a fine of $25. In another instance, an officer gave me a ticket for reckless driving and once again Noval Legal Group was able to work and drop the charges to improper driving. This issue had the potential to cost my family a significant amount of money, for many years, into the future if not resolved in their favor. Fortunately, my family retained attorney O. Keith Hallam Jr. to handle this difficult matter. After several weeks of intense legal work, Mr. Hallam was able to resolve everything in my familys favor-saving them many thousands of dollars.

I hired this group for a Reckless Driving case that I had in Alexandria in December 2017 . I was very pleased/confident after speaking with Mr. Hallam along with the attorney that I received for my case. When I showed up at court for my trial, a different attorney (who I had never met) showed up to represent me/my case. He was ill-prepared and did not seem to know the details of my case. When we went up at trial, his only defense was to quote 1 specific case law. He seemed very nervous and did not hold up any other form of defense in the court room.Needless to say, I was shut down immediately and given the worst possible sentencing (including jail time). I now have to hire another law firm to appropriately handle my appeal. I am not sure what happened, however this is not what I paid for. When in line to file my appeals at the clerks office, other people who were also in the courtroom to witness my humiliation, recommended a few lawyers as they were under the impression that I was being represented by a public defender.

I want to start by apologizing to attorney Keith Hallam for taking this long to write my review. I want to thank Mr. Hallam for his professional and caring service during a recent consult. My family and myself found ourselves in a situation that had nothing to do with us (can’t get into detail of case) when I got a call from a family member that police were in our home. Shortly after arriving home I realized I needed legal advice. I googled and called a referral line. I was directed to Nova Legal Group and spoke with attorney Keith Hallam. From the first moment I spoke to him to the last time I spoke with him Mr. Hallam has been very professional, kind, caring, understanding and almost like family in providing legal advice. He provided me with his cell phone number same evening as it was late at night and he had picked up my call as he was leaving his office. He availed himself for several hours that night while we dealt with the legal system providing timely legal advice to resolve the matter in a favorable outcome. I want to commend Mr. Hallam for not mentioning once about cost for his services while he was providing the service that night. When discussing fees for his service the following day he was understanding and adjusted his fees as well as offered a payment plan. I could say a lot but will summarize by saying that finding someone to take a call at such late hour of the day, avail himself directly via cell phone and listen with compassion like a family was beyond what I could have asked for. I never had to retain a defense attorney in my life, pray that I will never have to in the future but I am glad to have met Mr. Hallam and I will not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family or use him myself if the need arises. Mr Hallam is great! very nice and friendly and provides tons of information. Went out his way and called on a weekend and late at that! However, I went over my dui case and with the information I provided and its information they still have (nothings changed) I was told that most possible outcome will be to plea to a wet reckless (which I was ok with) before I hired them. I was told that Josh would be handling my case but now I am working with another attorney. Since Ive hired them Im getting less and less confident that they can even help me get that plead and Im pretty much paying them to just have legal representation and to plead guilty to a DUI but get a very unnecessary refusal I was charged with dismissed per current attorney Im working with (and even that might not be possible!). Im giving a 3 star review because they are very customer service friendly and offer great information and payment plans but so far they arent what people state they are in the reviews. its hard to speak with a attorney even with left a message to have a return phone calls for days. I do plan on giving more or less stars depending on how my case goes on the 19th but for now I say they are an ok law firm and one I would look into if you dont have the money to pay anywhere in the range of 2k-5k all at once. Im hoping they can prove me wrong and really help me get the best outcome!updateGot John for my last court appearance, as expected I did get convicted of the dwi with the refusal dropped. John is really great! he did put a fight up with this very tough prosecutor but sadly he was only able to get the plead with guilty to dwi and all the problems that come with it. Terrible, railroaded and then tried to double charge me after they did a terrible job representing me. Their disorganization shocked me and the different lawyers showing up to my court dates with no knowledge of my case was scary, do not trust the other reviews they are purchased not earned! Keep all proof of payment because they slack on that trust me they are still trying to charge me extra money and want me to provide proof that I payed. I have proof but case has been over for 5 months and now are saying I still owe $200. Please sue and I will win. Last payment was made 3/6/16, I think its shocking they do not record payments, you have to prove it once you pay it off??????? Terrible stay away.

This a letter I wrote to NOVA Legal Group: I am writing this letter in commendation and appreciation for Mr. John Spurlock Esq. My DUI/reckless driving charges were what brought me to your law firm. You agreed to take my case and informed me well as to what to expect going forward. Because of last minute issues you sent John to attend my arraignment. He was prepared and diligent for the extensive travel to Westmoreland County Courthouse. Because John was most familiar with my case by now and the judge having met him now, it was wise to assign him my case.I must say John put in more effort than I have seen in other attorneys with whom I have worked. The man watched the dash cam video several times to see if he could pick up nuances to challenge. He worked at home and on weekends on my case. He looked at all angles of the case. John also cared! I could see the pain in his heart when he had to let me down gently about things that would derail my success in prevailing – a past incident found out by the prosecutor, the absence of probable cause and the statutory nature of many of the penalties. He felt it.But John fought. He worked over that stubborn prosecutor relentlessly. He was honest about my dim chances and helped me set lowest expectations, but he wasn’t done. When the police officer showed up at the hearing, John went after him. Good old boy style, he engaged that officer and got him to flip the prosecutor. They dropped the DUI. I was in court watching John talk to the officer and prosecutor and when he turned to me motioning to exit the court for consultation he was BEAMING. My heart started to soar cautiously and he couldn’t wait to tell me the good news. I could see he was happy, not just for winning one, but for ME! My son received a reckless driving ticket thanks to John Spurlock talking to the police officer who gave him the ticket who wanted to teach him a lesson. John was able to convince him that my son was sorry for his actions. John spoke to the judge with many evidences of my sons character and taking driving courses to help his driving. John Spurlock convinced the officer to be willing to lower the charge to a improper driving with three points. This was a blessing to my son. A reckless driving ticket would hold six points and take 11 years to get off his record. The improper driving is three points takes three years to get off his record. Plus it is not a criminal offense misdemeanor. We praise the Lord Jesus Christ first of all for tenderizing the hearts of the judge and the officer involved. Thanks be to God. Also thanks to John Spurlock for helping us through this situation. Im thankful that the law firm chose John Spurlock to represent my son I believe it was God ordained for whatever reason God knows all things. I would recommend John Spurlock as a attorney if youre in need of one.

These idiots are lucky I even have them a 1 star. When I called they would rarely return my calls. Wasnt able to reduce anything do to complete incompetence. I had 2 different lawyers, and the last one reminded me of the idiot friend from Breaking Bad. Go somewhere else, especially if youre white.
