I just want to start off by saying that this has been the worst job experience that I have ever had. Out of all of the management experience if I had this has been the least to really care about you as a human being. As a worker they treat you like you’re just this person making money for them and I’ve worked hard in the past five months for this company just to realize they don’t really care about you as much as they should as their employee. Please do not ever work here it’s really sad how they treat their workers. And favoritism of their own people including family members. The disrespectfulness I have tolerated way too long from people that are my elders. The lack of professionalism here needs to be heard as an employer and as patient! H

I’m very disappointed in this place. I have been coming here for years. Dr Greenberg and Dr Bridges are very good that’s why I kept going back despite the mistakes with their accounts department and other people working there. I recently saw a PA by the name of Santos who was very through. I had to do a chest X-ray. A lady there called with my results. She said it was negative. I asked what that meant. She couldn’t explain. What was the X-ray looking for ? She said I had to make an appointment for a visit or tele visit if I wanted to speak to a doctor. Please have competent people giving out information. This place only loves to collect money. Though I have confidence in the PA I saw and some of the doctors I have seen there. Nova patient care need to improve on their services.

My new insurance plan requires an insurance referral to see a specialist. I got an appointment with Dr. Morris, with whom I was perfectly happy.>Specialist Attempt 1. The office gave me a *medical* referral instead of an insurance referral, but not knowing the difference, I took that to the specialist. Rescheduled.>Specialist Attempt 2. I had to call Nova and explain that I needed an insurance referral instead. They said they would fax it to the specialist. They did not. Another wasted trip and a rescheduled appointment.>Specialist Attempt 3. Nova now decided I needed to switch my PCP to a Dr. I had never met. Ok, if that gets this done then whatever. I called the day before to confirm they sent the document. They faxed my insurance *information* to the specialist. Another wasted trip and a rescheduled appointment.>Specialist Attempt 4, pending. Now I have to go over to their office, make them put the insurance *referral* in my hand because they simply cannot do it themselves.I’m done. So much wasted time. This is me, screaming into the void in frustration.

This is the most disorganized, unprofessional, and bogus medical office I have ever been to. Ive booked here twice out of convenience, because its usually easy to get an appointment. But of course it is - the office is basically a sham. Ive received bills for a new patient office visit for $200, and then another bill as an existing patient office visit for $220!Upon walking in there, the receptionists arent helpful or welcoming, and the doctors are consistently interchanging. Unfortunately, a friend of mine who visited while I was there, let me know a male doctor made advances on her during her checkup! I assure you, your time and energy could be spent elsewhere - without malpractice or disrespect.

We needed to go for a crisis visit and the NOVA Patient Care team did everything to get our PCR brings about a brief period. Their staff reached us at 2 AM to give the Covid PCR test result and ensured we had the option to travel. We can not be sufficiently thankful.

I Went to get tested for covid-19. I chose this location because of their 24hr turn around time. Got tested on 8/3/21 today is 8/8/21 and I still don’t have my results!!! I’ve called multiple times and their answer was “we don’t have them yet, we’re experiencing delays with the lab.” Ive also been checking my portal for updates and nothing! I’ve missed work because they require my results to go back. Just don’t advertise 24hr if you can’t commit to it. People don’t get tested for covid for fun, it’s usually a time-sensitive matter (work, travel, sickness, pre-medical procedures, etc). Just disappointed!

Convenient location, horrendous policies and doctors’ communication. When I came to set up new primary care, they gave me an inaccurate referral and when they called me at 8:30 am to confirm my 10:30 am appointment that I needed to reschedule, they charged me $50 to do so. I will not be back here.

We used NOVA Patient Care a handful of times for my husband. We needed to see someone before an overseas trip to make sure vaccines were up to date and to get some medication. In that case it was a good quick way to get what we needed done.During COVID-19 my husband had to use his epipen and scheduled a follow up telemedicine visit to see if he should get steroids (he normally gets those in the hospital, but we didn’t go to the ER). Visit was like a 10 minute FaceTime and basically nothing came of it. But the copay was only $15 so whatever 🤷🏻‍♀️The main issue I have with this place is that they (with the exception of the epipen) will barely give you any refills. And rather than calling to ask for more or having the pharmacy ask for more you have to make an appointment each and every time. The place has to make money I guess, but I haven’t experienced that with other doctors before. It seems like an unnecessary hoop, and when my husband gets on my HDHP no way are we paying the full price for an office visit every time we need a prescription.Finally- the reason I felt compelled to write the review: Medication refill visits are required and cannot be done via telemedicine. My husband was forced to restructure his day to go over there in person just to ask for prescriptions for the meds he’s been on FOREVER (like his rescue inhaler). He got there at 4 because he was told to get there at 4:15. And at the time of this writing (5:37) he still hasn’t been seenI would say they’re good in a pinch, but I probably wouldn’t use them for your primary

I received a bill showing balance and I was confused to see why I am getting this ridiculous bill when I have insurance. I called and left a message for the billing team, it took them a day to get back, but they did help me understand the breakdown of what is going on. The balance was my deductible which I was not aware of when I selected the plan. Thank you Max for explaining me this, else like so many others I would have left a negative review.

I have been coming to this office for over two years and they have been great! I have had the pleasure of seeing both Dr. Bridges and Dr. Morris. Both doctors were super knowledgeable and friendly. They have been encouraging during my weightloss/health journey and offered advice as to how I can improve my health moving forward. They both also came with natural way to improve along with medical suggestions, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this office and their entire staff.

Ive been a patient here for years and its gotten a lot worse. Before it was decent enough to put up with the rotation of staff and unpleasant and outdated medical office but dont waste your time. They are extremely slow moving and the billing office or Mr. Jay is impossible. Horrible bedside manner.

Excellent experience. Very professional and accommodating. I met with Dr Megan Soltwisch and she was very attentive, knowledgeable, and didnt make the appointment feel rushed in any way. We talked through the purpose of my visit, and she went out of her way to provide me with advise, treatment protocols, and even helped me save money on my scripts. If youre looking for that local feel in a medical practitioner, NOVA Patient Care is the place to go.

We had to travel for an emergency visit and the NOVA Patient Care team did everything to get our PCR results in a short period. Their staff contacted us at 2 AM to provide the Covid PCR test result and made sure we were able to travel. We can not be grateful enough.

I’ve seen a few different doctors at this clinic since relocating from Chicago 3 years ago. Each one was nice. The standout here is PA Kathryn Jenkins! She asks questions, listens, shares her ideas as well as her knowledge and also doesn’t make you feel like you’re being talked down to or that she is the only expert in the room. Her approach to healthcare delivery is the model that all physicians should adopt.

Do not use this clinic! They employ either an incompetent billing department or possibly are intentionally over-billing the patient. In mid 2020 they sent me a final notice, this was my first bill, for over $300. I spoke with their billing manager, Max, multiple times who immediately threated to send me to collections. Finally, Max accepted the fact that my insurance already paid what they would, and if he wanted any further money he had to re-bill my insurance. My insurance statement and customer representative assured me I did not owe anything. Now a few months later I receive a bill for the same $300+ bill and $30 in co-pay from a 2018 and January 2020 visit. My insurance company is very clear I do not owe anything for the $300 bill. This clinic feels like they can come after the customer if they dont get enough out of the insurance company. This isnt how it works, if you accept my insurance you accept the rates they pay. The billing department is either very incompetent or intentionally over billing in attempts to get more money from customers who dont know better.

Unfortunately, after 8 appointments with 7 different doctors, each one re-explaining the situation, I am fireing this practice. It is amongst the consistent worst medical treatments I have ever received and is consistently the same. You will not be able to speak with the same doctor, you will book an appointment with that doctor and 15 minutes before you will have a new doctor. I really liked the first doctor I saw but each time it is a new doctor, each session is rushed, each time you feel like you have to convince a doctor into helping and listening and each time I leave more stressed with more questions and less answers. Today will be the last day I ever use their services, which is very unfortunate considering the amount of time/effort/energy and money and the fact that ive told so many doctors my story. I really wish this was not the case. Good Bye. I am finally going to search for a real practice

Front desk was rude in person and on the phone. Dr Diomi was incredibly rude and didn’t even give me the time of day. Wouldn’t listen or pay attention to what I was telling him and hardly would look me in the eyes. After waiting ~40 minutes gave me 3 minutes of his time and didn’t even assist with what I was asking.Don’t waste your time here as I now need to go to another office just to get a simple check up, and spend more of my time.

As embarrassing as it is for me to say, I worked for this practice for literally 3 weeks, and after realizing how unethical and irresponsible the management/owners are, I had to leave. It made me feel guilty working for people who are okay with scamming patients and compromising their care.Also, they had a staff member with positive COVID and told this employee not to tell anyone, clearly not caring about the safety of other employees.The providers are great, and knowledgeable. Its just unfortunate that a doctors visit is followed by a huge medical bill after. And its scary to know what else they dont disclose to their patients and staff....

Never ever go here if you want to live , the only provider that is even worth seeing is Jenkins trust me I am an ex staff member I was fired because I report them to the local health departments for not informing us of staff members testing positive for COVId 19 I was the only African American on staff and two of there office they have a total of 3 African Americans on staff they are not HIPPA compliment and failed to protect us from employees who they forced to come to work sick they do not care a patients which explains the poor ratings this is not an urgent care they can do. I thing for you here as there staff meme Er have no medical knowledge and makes childish mistakes regarding patients health / medical records daily and the billing is like something I have never seen due to the owners being from Pakistan there billing company is stationed there and clueless on medical billing !!

The front desk staff asked me for my insurance upon check in. It wasn’t until after my entire appointment that they notified me my insurance plan had a problem. I then had to pay over $200 out of pocket for the appointment. I would never have scheduled an appointment in the first place if I’d been notified by my insurance that something was off. That’s certainly my insurance plan’s problem. The frustrating part was that Nova patient care seemed to know this beforehand and then charged me anyway.

Listen to other reviews! They are co-pay leeches. They will try to get you in the office as many times as they can. When you get in the office you are in the waiting room longer than you are in the patient room. All they care about is money. Not to mention, very rude front desk. Use your hard-earned money at a better practice, not this churn and burn.EDIT: Please view below where the practice replies to my review and writes about prescription refills. No where in my review do I refer to refills as my main gripe (because it’s not) but the practice thinks it’s okay to reveal this information and ignore the customer service issues I laid out. Isn’t that against client/patient confidentiality? Do you want to go to a practice that only cares about reviews, so much so they will reveal your personal information? I definitely don’t. Avoid. Some of the staff is very rude. They are also very disorganized, I scheduled my appointment for the Alexandria location then they told me the doctor wasn’t available when I showed up and that he was at the Fairfax location. Then, I called for them to fix a prescription and I was supposed to hear back and I called 5 days later and they had no record of me calling. Now, I have to pay for another doctor appointment for the same appt I had 6 days ago. Then, I scheduled an appointment for today and they called me more than an hour early during a time that I’m busy. My doctor martinez was nice but the support staff needs to get it together

I somehow booked my appointment through ZocDoc instead of through the NOVA website.When I arrived my temp was taken by the front desk staff member. I was told it was too high, probably due to the heat, and to go sit in a room and cool off. My temperature was never retaken.After sitting for 10 minutes I was told the person I booked with was on sabbatical and that no one had availability. I had booked and canceled other appointments and taken a half day from work because they said they had availability. The staff member from the front desk that informed me acted like it was reasonable that this happened, and didnt even apologize. After I complained she left and eventually someone came in. This front desk staff member did not wear her mask over her mouth and nose the rest of the time I was present.The Dr. I saw, was nice and got me in and out quickly, so was the other health professional. They did seem to have a lot of technical difficulties and in general seemed very disorganized. I was asked to fill out a form with all my information and also asked all the questions out loud so someone could type them in. I did a urine test on site and didnt really know if I was to wait for the results there or if it was being sent out. They finally came back and told me they tested it there but would send it out for a more extensive test. That was 2 weeks ago and I have still yet to receive my results from that test.I left this appointment feeling like I wasted my timeI will say the past few times I have called the woman that answered was very nice and understanding so I appreciated her.I would not recommend this urgent care nor will I return.EDIT: After reading some of the responses below from NOVA I have changed my review to one star. They responded to someone with a prescription issue by REVEALING THAT PERSON HAD A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PRESCRIPTION?!?!? HIPPA VIOLATION !!!SECOND EDIT: The Dr. finally called and told me my UTI results were negative. When I reviewed the bill and my actual lab results several months later they showed I did in fact have a UTI.

Dr. Bridges is a top-notch Primary Care Physician and I cant say enough great things about the quality of services he provides to Nova Patient Care. He is very easy to talk with, an utmost professional, flexible with scheduling appointments, and really takes the time to understand the overall health of his patients. I was admittedly hesitant to visit this establishment thinking they were just an Urgent Care facility, but Dr. Bridges has proven that fantastic Family / General Practice services are also provided here.

Then the doctors office decides to deny that we ever hadn’t telehealth appointment and that we have to do another appointment just to get a refill prescription because they forgot to send script to the pharmacy. I have been going here for a couple of years because i followed my doctor from his private practice to this place. 2 of the receptionists there are NOT very friendly. every time i call they sound so mono tone, and as if they don’t want to be there or they’re tired. i called today with a question about insurance, and the lady kept interrupting me, she wouldn’t let me talk, and then she didn’t even answer the question. i almost felt like i was bothering her?? i’m a shy person, and i don’t like to make a fuss but when u are working at a doctors office, u need to have the upmost customer service. especially because the patient might not be feeling 100%, so to deal with another’s bad attitude, whom is supposed to be a professional, is not okay.i’m a little nervous about my appointment tomorrow, but the only reason i’m staying at this location is because of my doctor. don’t get me wrong, the MEDICAL staff is awesome. but the 2 receptionists i spoke to today? they need to be reavulated.

The doctors are amazing! I would definitely give 5 star or beyond for the the physicians assists but unfortunately the billing and front desk not up to the same standards.I had a physical back in September, I returned in December as my insurance started to charge me extra due to not having a physical completed, which in fact I did. When I went into the office the receptionist didn’t really want to assist, I had to keep asking questions to finally get a print out of my entire health record, then I find out it’s been months and they have not billed my insurance therefore it reflects as if I haven’t gotten a physical and my insurance premium went up. It’s been 8 pay periods where I’m having higher deductions due to the practice instability billing department.I’m not the one to leave reviews, But I’m leaving a review in hopes that someone can assist and have this issue resolved immediately. The longer it drags the more difficult it’ll be for me to get a refund for the additional premium I’ve been paying.

This place has a common theme going on here, which you can catch if you read the reviews.Here is a brief summary:While the doctor visit was great and the staff were very accommodating, but the sole purpose of this care center is to charge you for every single question/second you spend there. Since my work provides top of the line healthcare, I decided to go to this place for a physical (in-network). It is a norm during physical visit for the doctor to ask do you have any question or concerns. So I asked a few questions, which I could have literally googled to find the answer the doctor didnt even had to leave his chair, and I got charged for all the questions in their respected category. I double checked my bill statement and verified my insurance did pay for lot of the charges (lot more than they should have), and yet I still ended up with a leftover balance. I got the bill statement months after my visit, which I dont understand either. Tried calling the billing department number from the statement several times, but no one picks up the phone.In summary, unless you are in severe need of attention, go to any other care center but here to save you and your insurance from hefty bills.

Avoid this place. It’s a churn and burn type office. No respect for people’s time- takes about an hour after your scheduled appointment for anyone to see you. The doctor I visited rushed through my physical and it was clear that they wanted to get in as many people as possible.They’re also very disorganized. I came in and got my vitals checked twice because there was a lack of communication with their internal teams. If I am visiting a doctors office- I expect a well organized place- IMAGINE the mistakes they could be making medically!As other reviews have said- they are crooks. They’ll charge you to review your physical results. Never in my life has this happened.They spend more time calling and confirming your appointment than putting care into their patients. What a joke.

Very mixed experience at NOVA Patient Care. I went in for a yearly Physical. The Physical was quick and easy and they were very professional. A few days later I got the results. They said I had some abnormal results however they would not give me the results unless I went back in. This meant I would have to pay to get my results. They said they could not release the results over the phone because of HIPPA Laws. My family works in an ER and they said that is simply not true.I called back and was later told this was a company policy and I was informed that they would not tell me before having my tests. The doctor that did my physical said that she would call me with my results and if anything was wrong would want me to come in. Not hold information about what could be wrong until I come in. Very different things. So a company policy is to charge their patients more to find out what is wrong with them.Finally, I learned that I could download the lab results online but they would not tell me what was abnormal about them over the phone (other than it was not life threatening) because of company policy. thanks While I understand they are a business and get money by charging my insurance company, had they been upfront about what was abnormal and asked me to come in for a follow up I would have been more than happy to come in. Instead they held a doctors interpretation of my health hostage for more money.As a doctors office NOVA Patient Care is great. As a business they are terrible. As a result I will no longer go to any NOVA Patient Care, and am left wondering what is wrong while I wait for another doctor to look at the results.

My experience at Nova Patient Care in Alexandria was great. The staff was amazing. Their service was very quick and fast. This nurse name Hania was very helpful. It was my first time seeing her but she treated me like I was her regular patient which was great. Thank you for being so nice Hania. Staff was very friendly and I was very glad to have been taken in on such short notice. At first it looked like there was no patients at all because the waiting room was so empty but I noticed people coming and checking out and realized that the rooms in the back were full which made sense on why i was waiting. I was new the the practice and I wanted to get some antibiotics for a sore throat and the doctor was very kind and helped me out and it was as painless as could be. It’s not like most doctors offices where you wait hours to be seen like at Patient first or any place like that. Faster than most other places and reliable. Don’t knock it till you try it!

Recently went for an initial visit for a general physical at the Falls Church office. Excellent experience with Dr. Greenberg, very thorough and very much interested in my well being. Subsequently had to go back for another procedure which led to the discovery of a serious condition. Cannot say enough good things about how Dr. Bridges handled it, even called the ER to give them a heads up on my situation. Was very impressed with his personal dedication to my health.

Do not enter this facility unless you want to die.On Monday, February 24, 2020, I was having heart attack symptoms. It felt as though an elephant was standing on my chest, and I had pain going up to my jaws and into my face. Traffic was heavy, but I lived just 10 blocks away, soI thought I had a good chance of getting immediate help instead of waiting for an ambulance. When I walked into the facility, there were only two people in the waiting room; there were two young women working the front desk.Barely looking up from her computer, I explained that I was having a heart attack to one of the women. Would you believe the young girl told me that the facility “had no availability to take me?” I responded: “Seriously? You’re turning me away? Can you do that?” She snapped: “We are privately owned and we don’t have availability!”I turned to leave. I drove five miles away to a facility on Duke Street in the Giant parking lot. When I walked in, I told them I was having a heart attack. Three minutes later, they called me into examining room where I collapsed onto the floor and went into instant Cardiac Arrest — in short, I died right there. Sixty-three years old—my life was over.Fortunately, due to the quick thinking of the medical staff on Duke Street, they called 911; they used compressions, used a defibulator, and brought me back to life until the ambulance arrived. I was rushed to Inova Hospital where I have been ever since. The cardiologists have both said that had I collapse anywhere else but in that facility on Duke Street, I would not be alive today. The doctors couldn’t even believe that I could speak as I was unconscious without oxygen for two minutes.Please go anywhere but NOVA PATIENT CARE!! They’re horrible!

I came in and it was a pretty fast visit. I was seen by a female doctor and she apologized for taking a bit long since the patient prior to me had a bit of a procedure and she had taken care of everything i needed with a timely manner. I understand no one likes to wait at the docs but it’s a part of the health field no matter where you go you will be there for at least 1 hour. I was seen and checked out within 50 min or so definitely changing them to my primary care doctor.

I came in as a walk in for a new patient and I was told it was going to be about 30-45 min which was not too bad compared to other places and actually I was seem way before 30 min. The doctor was very kind and helped me out with what I needed. I will definitely be coming back! Everyone has their own experiences and every doctors office is different lucky this one was a painless experience!

It’s horrible. Don’t go. I’m new to the area and needed to get a general physical for my 10 month old before she starts daycare. Nova Care popped up on my search and someone who works there called me the day before to change my appointment time and confirmed with me that the physician of the day could handle the physical and immunization shots.I arrived to the appointment with my baby and the front desk staff said the doctor doesn’t see babies and just provided a “sorry, go to the hospital.”You’re dealing with people’s times/schedules. Horrible in-person customer service.

I have been to this office about 8-10 times over the past few years. The front desk staff have always been courteous and helpful. It is very easy to get a walk-in appointment or call in an appointment and be seen quickly. They do blood draws on-site, which is very convenient by not having to go to a separate blood draw/testing facility.

THEY ARE OUT FOR YOUR MONEY! Wow, what a huge disappointment. I went in for an annual physical and they charged me and my insurance company for a physical AND a doctors visit. Dr. DeSandis asked me, Are there any issues you are concerned about? and if I knew I would be charged $225 dollars for answering that question, I wouldve simply said I am okay. Then, he writes in our visit summary that he has diagnosed me with some vitamin deficiency. He had NO way to prove that unless he took my blood work - which he didnt. Never ever going back. I would advise the same to you as well.Ive read some reviews below and I am NOT alone...THEY REALLY ARE OUT FOR YOUR MONEY! I am so disappointed about how corrupt such a highly praised profession could be.

I was able to forgive the first misstep by this doctors office, by sending a prescription of a drug to the pharmacy, in a pill measurement that doesnt exist. I had to physically drive up to the location to receive the right prescription in paper form.Recently I was given a call that a bill I supposedly owed was going to collections, even after I had my insurance on file the entire time, and its showed Ive paid every claim? How the hell do you all stay open?Edit: This place cant even get their story straight in their reply. I didnt ask for a refill, I needed it filled to begin with. And my insurance has not changed since my first visit from them. Unbelievable. Do NOT give this establishment your money.

I love the staff so kind and very helpful I first spoke to someone on the phone and they were as helpful as could be. when i came it they treated me very nicely and with much respect love the way they handled each patient and love how quick they are! Of course the doctor was wonderful as well, it was such a great experience, definitely recommend going there

I’m definitely coming back to Nova Patient Care for my future visits. They have the nicest staff that is so welcoming and took care of meso well. They made sure that I was comfortable as well as offer me the best treatment. I’m going to recommend them to my family and friends for sure.
