I have been a patient at Kingstown Dentistry for well over 10 years, even before the current dentists took over the practice. Their latest pronouncement to charge a penalty fee for anyone who wishes to reschedule their appointments within 48 hours is out of line. A call the day before is customary, and shouldnt be penalized. Ill find another dentist who is less grasping and more courteous.

New to the area and I was looking for a new dental home. I was really impressed with Kingstown Family Dental, they had great bed side manner, very informative about what was going on. I’m glad I found a great dental home!

I’ve had excellent care at this office. Dr. Miranda and Dr. Pham take the time to explain the necessary treatment, answer questions, and make sure you’re comfortable. The dental hygienist provided thorough instructions following both procedures I’ve had and the receptionist is friendly and great about reminders and follow up.

The team here is extremely professional. Dr. Dow and Dr. Phan listen to my concerns with my teeth. The dental hygienist know my teeth are extremely sensitive and they take care cleaning my teeth. I am not worried when I go into see the dentist. I know they only recommend what I need. Only once did I have an issue.The office works to accommodate busy schedule and schedules impacted by virtual learning schedules for parents. I I will be happy when they can start giving out the new toothbrush and sample dental 🦷 floss again. Like so many others I look forward to that when I finish my routine cleaning. I smile even more. Just like kids do when they leave a dentist with a colorfully brush and goodie bag. 😁

Do not trust this dentist!!! I hardly ever write bad reviews, but I had to in this instance. I went to this dentist one time for a general cleaning because I got new insurance my old dentist didn’t take it. For one, it was the most painful cleaning I’ve gotten in my entire life. The hygienist and the dentist were both very rough, and although I told them it hurt very bad they didn’t get much more gentle. Made me realize why some people are scared of the dentist. Then, my insurance wouldn’t pay the bill. I was so confused as to why until 6 months later I finally figured it out when I got a bill for over $300!! This dentist had charged them for A TON OF THINGS THEY DIDNT DO!! They even charged my insurance for an X-ray! This is INSURANCE FRAUD!!! I specifically told them I only wanted a cleaning, and come to find out this dishonest practice had tried to get a ton of money out of my insurance for random things. And they didn’t even have the decency to spell my name right. Somehow my insurance paid most of the bill, but here I am with another bill for the $15 they didn’t cover out of the over $300 bill!! I don’t care if it was only 15 cents I’m not paying it. If I don’t hear from this place soon I’m going to call my insurance and report the fraud they have committed.

Always a wonderful experience, never rushed. Every procedure or new findings are always explained to us. Angela at the front desk is always our go to person. My family has been going there for 7 years now.

They are very capable dentists who helped me out when I had to have an emergency root canal. My dentist at the time couldn’t figure out which tooth was hurting me— they diagnosed the problem immediately and referred me to an oral surgeon. My family and I have gone there ever since. Nice hygienists, too—gentle and receptive.

I was so impressed with how smooth both the dentist and assistant Geraldine were. They are really fast and efficient. Had to get a few root canals and they really were professionals in every sense. The front desk were also so nice and easy to work with as far as scheduling and insurance. Thanks !

Always have a good cleaning. They will do manual cleaning as opposed to the ultrasonic if not needed. I like that since I’ve been sensitive to it before. Friendly front desk and technicians.

Kingstowne Dentistry is absolutely wonderful.The doctor and staff are patient and gentle. My son has gone from being scared of dentists to being comfortable and easing into the cleaning. He even let them have his X-ray done today and everything wentsmoothly.

I had several root canals with crown done in this dental office and all were done right without any pain. The staff is awesome, they know what they are doing. I definitely recommend them to anyone.I am updating my post because I went for another root canal and crown. The root canal procedure went very well and it was done very well. Worst experience at this place. Specialty the front desk person, her name is angela bush, she is the rudest person I have seen. They didnt check my insurance coverage because they were so lazy and didnt want to do their job and I end up paying extremely unacceptable bill just because they didnt do what they supposed to do. I will never go back to this place ever again.

*An update to my review*.....Instead of addressing my review the office manager canceled my appointment and refused to see me when I explained that I urgently needed to be seen by the dentists. Be careful before you post because this office will retaliate against you...I wish I could give this place zero stars. The staff is so rude, uncooperative, and unprofessional. When I called them on the phone to verify if I was on their roster, the receptionist talked over me and when I asked her to please let me speak she hung up the phone. The dentist is not any friendly either. She just enters with frown on her face and starts poking at your teeth without even a greeting. I dont know why I put up with this office for two years.

Ive been going to Kingstowne Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for years. Ive been very pleased with every visit I have had here. These reviews are completely wrong everyone in this office speaks english and has always been respectful and polite. Even peers have noticed the difference in my teeth upon leaving here, they have a great hygienist. The waiting room is charming and has a variety of reading selections. I would defiantly recommend coming to this office, it is a great dentist office and I have never left unsatisfied.

The whole staff is wonderful! They work with you on your dental plan and they make every experience enjoyable. They show you they care about you and not just your teeth!

Everyone at the office is wonderful, with one exception. The woman at the front, Angela, was quite possibly the rudest person Ive had the displeasure to experience in my short tenure here in the DC area. It seems she is deeply dissatisfied with her life, not to mention her job. I am just curious why a woman like that wouldnt attend university and perhaps acquire the skills and knowledge to match her ambitions. Her rudeness was so striking and confusing that I spent the entire afternoon reviewing what I could have said or done to trigger it. As soon as I worked out that it was completely unwarranted, my concern changed to pity. What a miserable girl. Perhaps she should be in touch with the right doctor to prescribe the proper medication. Either way, I hope that she finds what she is looking for. I know I have: a new dentist.

This was not my most favorite experience. They were less concerned about my oral health than they were their money. Also-in addition to being scolded by Dr. Dao (yes, there were issues but they were secondary to a health issue...which was completely ignored when I tried to explain what happened), I was fraudulently billed for services that are completely covered by my insurance company. Buyer beware.

I have been going to this dentist for a couple of years now. I need to get some major work done on my teeth. I was given a quote for all of the extensive work in writing twice. Then, after a couple of visits to start the work, I was in the chair getting the work done and the office assistant came in and told me after I had already been numbed by the doctor that it will costs me twice as much for the work and I needed to pay an additional $800 the same day. I have reached out the owner about this issue. I hope my issue will be handled professionally and that I can come back with a good rating because they care about their customers and their mistakes.

Dr. Dao himself cleaned my teeth so he could get a better idea of my dental issues. Then I went back for fillings on two upper left teeth towards the back. Dr. Dao was very thorough in doing the filling and in smoothing the areas affected. He spent time to do my dental work. ( A previous dentist did a previous filling in a rush, and until now my tongue senses the rough surface left by the filling)

Dr. Phan is the best! She is all business, efficient and professional. She recognized exactly what I needed to have done and did it to my full satisfaction.

This business is a sham. I had to lodge a complaint with the licensing agency for violating my consumer rights following the treatment I received there. I came the the dentistry to get basic teeth cleaning done. The doctor told I had to get a crown and root canal (which I DID NOT). The receptionist/account never provided me with costs and out of pocket costs (based on the submitted insurance). During the root canal procedure, the doctor decided to fix yet another cavity (why wasnt it pointed out to me during the exam and x-rays I had to pay off? And, without my permission!). The procedure itself was never explained to me and I had to endure two weeks of pain waiting for the permanent crown. In the end, I was presented with almost $2000 in out of pocket money (and I never received an itemized receipt) and they denied me payment in installments that they brag about on their website.

Exceptional dentistry, from every employee there. I was asked, , whether or not I felt safe, when I visited today, due to the pandemic. My reply was. an immediate yes. Everyone was professional and safe. Love them.

I love the Dr and the assistant! They are so sweet and considerate and sensitive to your level of comfort. They are much farther away from my house now but theyre so great I plan to stay with them.

I went in for my first cleaning and the Dentist and assistant did a great job. I felt that my teeth were very clean afterwards. They provided me with an accurate plan of what fillings and root canal I needed. I have a tooth with a big hole in it and they scheduled me as soon as possible so I can get it done quick since it was getting extremely painful. I would definitely recommend this office for all dental work they also offer implants, dentures, and other cosmetic work!

I have been going here since 2015 and must say today I experienced such disrespectful service that I have taken my business elsewhere. The office manager is completely unprofessional and can not explain what has been billed. The office doesn’t disclose fees properly. Lastly I had a balance unbeknown to me from 2016 that even though I was recently in the office on three separate occasions this balance was never made aware nor did I ever receive a call or correspondence. When asked to speak to the doctor they are unable to have a conversation regarding what they bill you and the office manager tries to continually interject not allowing me the customer to ask the doctor the services in which they billed. Absolutely not the kind of service I want for myself or anyone else

Said I should get my cleaning done at the same place I got my bridges done. I went to the other place too and they said you can have a CLEANING done anywhere because its a SIMPLE cleaning.... Well thats just loss of business for no reason.

I wasn’t looking forward to getting fillings today, but they made it as comfortable and quick as possible.

They didnt check my insurance and billed me for what they didnt check and was their job to do so. They said my insurance pays for it and Im responsible for 20 percent of it and after 3 months I find out they denied because I had to wait for a certain time which they had to find out first and was their job before having me for the procedure. Im getting lawyer to teach them they have to do their job and if they didn’t, they have to be responsible for it.

My family and I have been patients here for many years. We have always enjoyed our bi-annual visits. The Hyginest does a great job at giving you a gentle but very through cleaning. I have seen Dr. Phan for a Root Canal and let me tell you it was painless and quick! Angela at the front desk has been there for many years. My wife always enjoys chatting with her and she always remembers what our kids have been up too. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

Three negative points in my experience with them:1. I asked them to send me my X-Ray results. It took more than 3 weeks.2. They forced me to do fillings when I asked for cleaning. They said We cant give you a cleaning time till you do your fillings. I showed the X-Ray to another dentist, she said I dont need filling now!3. In my first and the last appointment with them, they were not on-time while I was waiting there.Hope it helps you.

I had a doctor recommendation to check my jaw because of an ear infection. I have continuity as a patient since 2013. I was seen, xrays taken and checked out. Really appreciate it.
