My experience at Bare Skin was great! Jasmine was so nice and kinda distracted me from the pain just talking about random stuff. The whole process from start to finish was maybe 15 minutes. She was sweet, encouraging and THOROUGH!! I mean, she don’t play and I truly appreciate it! I found my new wax spot! Already scheduled my next appointment!

I want to start off by saying I have only received one bikini wax in my entire life, and at 29 weeks pregnant (since I couldn’t see) I decided to take the plunge and try a Brazilian for the first time! I was so scared but my waxer really put me at ease and talked me through it. She was kind and made me laugh super hard-she made the experience great. And the oils they used smelled really good!!

Sara did great, painless Brazilian and underarm waxing. I’m new here and had an amazing experience. We built great rapport and she made it comfortable for me as I am pregnant. Going back tomorrow 🤗

The price continues to go up without notice or loyalty discount. Its annoying and I dont like it. Front office Staff is nonchalant about it as if it shouldnt matter. It does matter. My income is limited. Alexis is great as usual and she is why i come from another state to get service. The steps make location inaccessible for temp/permanently disabled. The lack of parking make it inconvenient as well. However, despite this, its the best waxing within 50 mile radius.

Honestly used to like this place until I swapped waxers and i regret it terribly. I have hair that has grown back after 5 days. Not to mention they did not do everything they were supposed to and I broke out for the first time in my 3 years of being waxed. I reached out about a refund or something to make up for their terrible job and crickets… don’t go here. What a shame. Avoid the person who’s name rhymes with Era.

This was my very first Brazilian wax and I was nervous/ scared. Aziza was great! She helped calm my nerves and was very reassuring. I dont know about technique being this was my first time, but it was quick and not as painful as I thought it would be.The spa was nice, clean and welcoming. Definitely a returning customer

I have only been to Bare skin twice but each time it is a wonderful experience, especially with the new covid practiced everyone is following they really make it a comfortable visit each time. I started going because I followed my wax specialist Ashley from her last location, and honestly will probably leave if she does :) Ashley is wonderful! I was referred to her by a friend 2 years ago while she was at EWC and since have referred more of my friends to go see her. I will not let anyone else wax me, I travel from Maryland to see her shes that good. I tried someone else and came right back to Ashley. She will teach you about your skin, explain to you how she waxes all while having a wonderful and fun personality and making it fun. Weird right but true, she makes it fun and less awkward. I look forward to seeing her every time. If its your first wax and scared youre in great hands with her. Once you see her and love her please try not to book up all her time cause I still want my appointment slots.

I went here for a Brazilian and my waxer was named Sara I believe and it was the worst service i have ever had. They are so unprofessional she was talking rudely to the lady at the desk while also talking bad to another coworker. I honestly could not believe how unprofessional and rude they both were and on TOP of that she was late and the wax was obviously too hot that my skin was burning and irritated DAYS after. The worst place Ive ever gotten waxed and Ill never return again.

I come here regularly when the weather is nice (Ashley is awesome!) but I was disappointed by my last expirence. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:45 on Mar 20th but the email confirmation they sent me actually had the wrong time on the calendar invite (1:45). I assume this was a daylight savings time glitch but when I arrived at 1:45 the staff didnt seem very sympathetic. I dont think they believe me when I told them it was an error on their end.They offered to reschedule for 5:30 that day or tomorrow but unfortunately I had to pick someone up from the airport at five and I just wasnt interested after paying for parking and running down to make it in time only for it to be implied it was my fault that the calendar invite they sent me (attached to the email) was incorrect.

I’ve been coming here for years, and I usually go to Kassy but I went to Aziza based on Kassy’s recommendation. She was amazing. She was very fast but still very thorough. She was also very sweet and had great conversation, which helped pass the time. I totally recommend her to anyone!

Ashley was personable, funny, and made my first time in a long time much more bearable. She was fast and efficient and though she added jokes to the session, she clearly knows exactly what shes doing.

Facility was warm & inviting, pricing was to what I am accustomed, and the new products I am trying are great (blackberry scrub...got the Vanish product also, but I will have to wait to see results). My esthetician was wonderful. Careful, courteous and efficient.

Disclaimer: Its the first and only place Ive been to for waxing so take my review with a grain of salt.Ive only been here about twice and only for Brazillians but my 2 visits were great. Alexis is nice and knows how to hold a conversation, she also plays movies or shows during the wax so that helps to keep you distracted if you like that. Since its the only place Ive been to for waxing I wouldnt know what to say a good experience is but for me this place nails it on the dot. It is in Old Town Alexandria so expect to have to look for parking before your appointment.

Simple, I called to cancel my appointment called multiple times never got an answer I had a legit medical emergency. I called and left a message with my name and phone number and NO ONE called me back I had to keep calling. And I was charged for the service when I kept calling back about my charge I was told they were to busy to contact me back and that they were told I would just have to accept the a credit didn’t matter that I had a real emergency. I never got a call from anyone I had to keep calling myself because no one felt it was important to call me back. Never mind the fact that I have a loved one in the emergency room fighting for their life. So yea this is not right to me because I searched the website and never seen any policy about this. Even after all the trauma I had to go through that doesn’t matter to the owner, I bet if anyone was in my situation they would feel the same way. I called multiple times and asked to speak with a manager or owner and was told she doesn’t come in and I won’t be able to talk to her. She refuses to call and talk to me or they won’t give any type of contact for her either. If I didn’t have a true emergency then I would be fine but I did and felt like a company would work with you in a true emergency.

Excellent! Fast and not painful. Tracy is professional and efficient! The salon is always impeccably clean, but I also appreciate the extra precautions being taken for the safety of guests and staff as Virginia phases its openings due to COVID-19. This was my first stop off of stay at home orders, and I felt completely safe and comfortable.

I moved further out of the area & I still come back here (for waxings). Although theyve had a fair amount of turn over in technicians in the past few years, they are still solid. I recently been going to Tracey and love her demeanor. The place is always clean and no frills. Its just a comfortable place to go, get in and out. Also, there is multiple parking garages close by and often street parking.

Aziza is amazing! Shes kind, extremely thorough, and I always look forward to seeing her!

I made a last minute appointment online. I took whoever had the first opening, which was Tracy. My previous technician left a couple of months ago, so, I had to try someone else. Tracy was so nice and professional! I went in for a Brazilian. The front, top area is really sensitive for me and she had zipped the hair off and was ready for the back before I knew it! Ive had great service from each technician who has ever worked on me. I recommend Bare Skin to anyone who is looking for excellent service at a great price.

I have been getting bikini and underarm waxes from Juliana for over a year. Her waxes are painless. She keeps me distracted with her funny conversation and she always seems to remember details that I told from previous waxes. Her work is superb and her customer service is even better.

I loved the professional who waxed me. Absolutely the best. However, the receptionist, very unprofessional and rude. Scheduled an appointment and when I got there told me she had me for another time, luckily I got there early and was able to be seen, however, she did not bother to inform me before hand. She also closed the shop at 5pm although the website says they are open until 6pm on Momdays. When I asked to talk to the owner or manager she said the manager does not come into work and that there is no way to communicate with her. Again, the professional who waxed me was great! However, the receptionist looked as if she hates her job and it impacted not only my experience there as first timer but also others too.

DO NOT GET THE SLEEK BROW SERVICE!!! I got the Sleek Brow 3D Complete service and I walked out looking like an Angry Bird (per my nephew)! Not to mention the look only lasted a few days(thankfully) when it was supposed to last a month or more! I’m not sure about the other waxing services but before the service started the lady “cleaned up” my eyebrows and almost left me with no eyebrows. The picture with me wearing glasses is after the eyebrow service and the picture of me without glasses is a few weeks later when my eyebrows went back to normal.

This place is adorable, clean and safe. It is very calming and welcoming. My waxer was easy to chat with and it makes the treatment go by very quickly and you really dont realize your done. I have been coming here for the last 5 years for Brazilians. Everyone Ive seen here does great work. Alexis is who I book with. She friendly and does a great job of chatting with you to keep your mind off of being waxed. She also does a great job and really quick. I was terrified of getting waxed for the first time for my wedding. I went to Angie and she made me comfortable and it hurt as little as your hair being pulled out can.
