I worked at Windmill ponds and loved it until Chris Carter took over as Executive director. She was horrible to the employees, didnt talk to residents or get to know them. My in laws lived there and were happy prior to this change of executive director. But then the halls started to smell and they had never smelled in all the years we had my in laws there. We decided to move them with all the changes.Employees would quit (HUGE turn over ) and Chris Carter would write up letters telling them they could not come on the property ect, extremely rude. All in all Windmill ponds is a beautiful building but when you have someone in charge who is not right for the elderly population. Its wrong. Getting people to pay a monthly rent is not what assisted living is about. This is only my opinion but ask around for yourself.

As a past manager at this place & owning my own business for over twenty years, I can tell you that the root of most problems stem from their Executive Director Chris Carter. If a clean room with proper operating heating & air conditioning and windows that you can function, along with consistent care is what you are looking for? Look elsewhere! If you want to fall on ground and hurt yourself and wait 5-6 days for on staff RN to look at you only to then tell you you need to see doctor, then this place my be for you?? Very High Employee Turnover!!! Executive Director bad mouths employees, residents, and resident family members all the time.

They do NOT pay their employees very well and the residents are charged up the wall for rent.. Many of them complain how they don’t like living there and wish they could leave.. sad

Chris Carter is an outstanding leader. I have worked with her for many years and although our lives took us in different directions I think about her daily. The guidance and direction she gave me was outstanding and I owe alot of my success to her!!!! Anyone that works with or for her will not regret it!
