Its not your rent stabilized community, but rather a community structured to a more quiet and conveniently amenity provided facility. Manchester Lake Senior Apartments is a community that is for the lifestyles of people who dont need the pressures of their counterparts - the youths. Geared towards a low profile style of living that is suited for seniors wanting to feel free and secure among people who have lived an accomplished life and want a lifestyle that doesnt require time constraints of todays young lifestyles. A place to communicate with like minded people who easily gravitate to one another. On my visit,I found the property very secure and with residents walking their pets or just taking in some fresh air. The property buildings are three stories tall with beautiful, spacious and well-maintained apartments. The properties have elevators and large sitting areas. Each floor has a laundry room with about 4 washers and dryers each. Try finding that in regular apartments. Furthermore, the facility amenities are very nice - sitting areas, libraries on various floors. An amazing facility for our loved ones and seniors alike.

I am so pleased with the place. I was desperately looking for housing for my mom and stumbled upon Manchester Lakes Community. That was staff was kind and welcoming while showing me around the community. The new manager Kenia seems like she will be absolutely amazing for the community. We are excited for her to start this new journey in her life

Moved here early March. Spacious renovated apartments, clean and friendly staff and residents. Lot of turnover since November but looks like staff is all set now and doing a great job.

I am so happy that I chose Manchester Lakes for my moms new home. Such a beautiful community with an amazing staff! Close to all shopping centers which makes life so much easier. My mom couldn’t be happier! Thank you for being the best around!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Nice senior citizen 👌 home

My grandmother has lived at this property for quite a few years and every 6 months or so they raise her rent. The stairway in the back smells like pee and poop door handles are missing off the doors, level signs are off the walls the walls have god knows what smeared on them. For this company to keep raising the rent of these elderly people and the building looking the way that it does it is unacceptable for the amount of money 1 person is paying to reside in the apartment complex. Y’all need to do better!

I really haven’t had a bad experience at this place. There are people that smoke and I smell it sometimes when I come out of my apartment into the hallway. The trash Shute is full for a couple of days and some people don’t keep it closed like they should. The maintenance crew need to do a little better about cleanliness of the hallway and stairs. Other than that it’s been pretty good here.

Enjoy living here, Susan ONeil, the manager, is pleasant and efficient, always takes time to listen and the maintenance team, Eric, Connor and Ed, keep this place going and give a quick response to any issues. They are an excellent maintenance team. We are close to shopping. If you like Bingo this is the place!

My husband and I have lived here for close to five years. The apartment complex is walking distance from two banks, grocery store and several restaurants. You can also catch a ride to the Kingstowne Area for shopping at great stores and eats at some great restaurants. Susan ONeil promptly takes care of any apartment needs we have and were grateful to her, we also appreciate maintenance when we need help with in our apartment. Management holds holiday events through out the year which the residents really enjoy. We love Saturday morning donuts from Dunkin Donuts and hot coffee every morning in both Manchester Apartment Buildings. Youll want to talk to Susan or Pam to get an apartment here at your new home!

If I could give zero stars, I would. To my knowledge, the ONE hardworking employee this property had no longer works here. They are incapable of providing good customer service. Avoid this place at all costs. Management doesn’t care about their residents. This place needs a whole new management team. I want to know how many bad reviews it will take for the corporate office to wake up and put more respect and concern into this property, the residents, and more importantly the EMPLOYEES.

Susan is really getting better and I have really had a fabulous time at manchester lakes. I feel generally very safe and comfortable living alone here.

These apartments are very nice! Ramona Joyner in the leasing office was amazing to work with. She was patient and kind as I had many questions. I’m looking forward to visiting my grandmother here at Manchester Lakes!

I love living here, they work very hard at keeping the place up.Ramona isnt here any longer, she was a great, dependable person.Susan ONeil is trying her best to keep us ALL happy, which is no easy task. We pray for her everyday to find a assistant that has tenacity among their tool kit.I have been here since 01/03/2013. I work part time in the Country Store on the 2nd Floor. This my seventh year living here. The location and surrounding area is ideal for seniors. Shopping, pharmacy and restaurants are just across the street as well a football field. Maintainance and service is relatively adequate compare to similar apartments.i would definitely recommend it to all my friends.

Man the maintenance people here are rediculously good here. I had a leak in my kitchen due to like a broken faucet or pipe. Anyways I called the maintenance people and they guys came really fast like less then 2 hours. It was fixed that day which was awesome

As an former employee of this property. I do Not recommend anyone to live here. You get what you pay for. It’s many cases of bedbugs & some residents won’t allow pest control to come treat their homes. Not to mention the many leaks & other hazarous issues such as mold, Mildew, A/C units aren’t all working and the list continues. This property does have some great employees such Romana, Conner, and Darnell. They do all that’s needed to try to keep this property together. It’s just so many things that need to be done you would think the property manager would be doing something about It. Residents comes with problems everyday, but never can get a complete hold of Susan without them receiving an negative attitude from her.But then again you get what you pay for. So if you enjoy smelling spoiled smells & complaining about things that won’t get fixed right away or not at all. Come on down to Manchester Lakes Senior Home.I also Suggest talking to some of the current residents before making your final decision on if you would to move in.

A great place covenient and quiet. Security could be improved

I only gave it one star because the option to give it no stars at all is not available. My elderly mother has been living at Manchester Lakes Apartments for the last 15+ years. The complex USED to be well managed and maintained. However, within the last few years, when management changed hands, the upkeep has become increasingly DEPLORABLE. Constant water leaks inside the apartments creating mold problems, broken heating systems, no trash service (trash being piled up in the hallways because the trash chutes are full), rodent infestations and poor management response to these problems has made this place a seniors dump. These people are taking ADVANTAGE of the elderly while still escalating rent and charging upwards of 1500.00 for extremely poor living conditions and health hazards. I hate to see people take advantage of the elderly and that is what is being done here. So, this a word to the wise. Check this place out by talking to the residents who live there BEFORE you sign a lease. Most times you can find plenty of them sitting out at the smoking gazebo. They will probably be happy to share some of their horror stories with you. Also, the local TV station, channel 9 did a story on Manchester Lakes a few weeks ago after the residents complained but still nothing has been done. Dont let the outside appearance of the place fool you. Check inside for whats really going on.

My mom stayed at this place and had a horrible experience with the management there. They are unresponsive at first and then combative in their costumer service when something goes wrong with the unit and requires maintenance. The on site manager onbsconds the facts and tries to get the tenant to pay for things that are not the tenants responsibility. I would not have a family member stay there unless they had no place else to go. Fairfax County should really wake up to the reality of what some landlords make the elderly go through.

Do NOT move to this apartment complex. Maintenance is VERY poor, and the attention they show the seniors living there is abysmal. Just check out the Better Business Bureau rating for the Property Management Company, JRK Residential. If you escalate a complaint to JRK, you will NOT receive a return call; you will be ignored. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE.

My mother lives here and things with the management has gotten wrost! They cant keep a regular professional maintenance staff to keep up with the work orders. So my mom is asthma and suffers with allergies real bad! So apparently the water heater or something must have went bad, but the water submerged into my moms unit she discovered the wetness while cleaning up one day and happened to move her bed and seen that mold was starting to developed! She contacted the office to make them aware of it! SO YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD HAVE MADE THIS A PRIORITY!!! Well they didnt!!! When the maintenance guy finally came my mother pointed out to him where the mold was. So as days went by and she found out that the guy QUIT! Now at this point my mother is starting to develop more frequent breathing issues! So apparently they had some contractors to either temporary fill this maintenance guy position or permanently, Im not sure however when he finally did come into my moms unit he sprayed some type of chemical where the mold was! Now as I stated earlier shes asthma and have severe allergies, well her breathing got worst! Now Im no professional but from my understanding of getting feedback from other people who knows about more about mold then I do says, THE AREA WHERE THE MOLD IS HAVE TO BE CUT OUT, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS BLACK. Well this wasnt handle properly!!!!!! My mother have been admitted to ICU for respiratory distress! At this point these people will now have to deal with US!!!! Since they didnt care about her well being she has children that care about her!!!! And justice will be served!!!!!If this review doesnt make you aware then I dont know what will!!!!!!

Great place and convenient to everything my mom needs!

This place is horrible. Stay away. There are drug deals going on, the heating and air conditioning are always breaking down. Etc, etc.
