Staff is super friendly. Membership options offered me a month to month. Price was decent I suppose. They have the machines I prefer to use, and some other stuff my family enjoys. Its pretty much the closest place to where I live. Laid back atmosphere. Hours of operation work well for me at this point in time. Pretty cool. I cant complain.

Golds gym is a wonderful place to workout! I highly recommend Golds for anyone and everyone looking for a wonderful gym to join and kick off the 2019 New Year, not just for the month of January, but for years and years to come! I feel so comfortable here, and have been a happy member for going on 7 years. I plan on many more years with Golds Gym myself, and I have no interest going anywhere else. The staff and group fitness instructors here are great. There is so much workout equipment here to choose from- there is truly something here to suit everyone’s workout needs. Golds gym is my gym family- come and be a part too!!

Joined several months ago in which they waived the initial fee due to me being a member from very long time ago which made me feel great about signing up. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and great at making recommendations. Classes are constantly scheduled, but you can just go in and do your thing without pressure. Hours, although not always open, are convenient enough to not cause any issues. Highly recommend.

I just bought a month membership while visiting the Knoxville area. This gym has lots of new equipment with plenty of variety. It is very clean with sanitizing stations close to all areas. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The cool-off area is a brilliant idea, wish gyms back home were more like this one!

My most recent complaint is that they are no longer 24-hours. Extremely disheartening. I liked that in most of The Rushs promotional material and signage it always said 24/7. Went there to cancel today. I dont care if hardly anyone comes in at those odd hours. Its also really sad that they are so cheap that they had to cavalierly eliminate or cut back hours for the one person who would be working the desk on the overnight shift. Talk about cheap and shameful. If you go by there, all the lights are still on. So there are no savings on electricity. Like other recent reviewers, Ive been extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness at this gym lately. Ive almost complained to corporate on multiple occasions. Last time I was there I had to get on five treadmills to find one working properly. Also, the devices to relay the TVs sound to headphones are always broken. So even if you find a machine working, chances are the sound relay device will not. I do understand that very few people probably use the sound relay devices. However they should still be functional. I literally had to try 6-7 to find one that worked. Some arent fastened to the machines and are just hanging. I told a manager today about my past experiences. She was nice. The problems that I noticed were particularly in the locker room - crooked locker doors, trash and powder scattered about the floor. I will temper this by saying the club was at least clean today. I do take into account that it could indeed be challenging to the keep locker room clean when people are tossing trash on the ground, especially in the later hours. Overall I just loved this club when it was The Rush. It was localized, fun, and endearing. They had small touches like the three local high schools sports teams emblazoned on the wall, with spot on colors and fonts. Since the switch to becoming Golds the club has clearly taken on a tampered down appearance and atmosphere. I know the owner of the Rush wanted to punch his ticket by selling the whole lot of clubs to Golds for a hefty sum. But did he have to? Also, must say that Ive been going to this club since around at least 2006.

The most meanest people I ever met in my life. I drove 30 minutes to go there with my girls, and what they do is send me back. Why you ask? Because they said they canceled the bringing kids free in my membership. They wouldnt even let me stay there to finish the class. Im only gonna finish this yearly contract, and then Im done.

The manager at this location is a fairly rude and cavalier about getting members. The gym is dirty, NO ONE re-racks their weights, and youll have to go hunting for clips. With better gyms only a couple minutes away, youll be better off going to another gym.

The general membership is affordable but when they talk a person into unnecessary training sessions the month dues increase substantially. I dropped my membership and went to planet fitness. 10.00 a month instead of 180.00 a month at Gold s gym.

Signed up for a 24 hour gym and they have gone to opening at 5 a.m. during the week and 7 a.m. on weekends. Joined because of the 24 hours. Have to be at work by 5 a.m. No one has offered me discount or cancellation. Poor way to do business. National Fitness in Maryville in offers more for the money for these hours.

I was considering joining, but was told the sales rep was already busy. I could come back later or on another day. Lost my business, going to Planet Fitness.

Been a member for 5+ years. I am currently sitting outside the gym at 5:16 AM, waiting for them to open as the posted hours are to open at 5. This happens 3+ times a week. The men’s locker room is not very clean. The only reason I don’t hange is because of location.

Other than unable to use chalk its a nice gym. Could use more of some of the equipment due to volume of people at certain times. Overall good gym.

The Rush Fitness Complex in Alcoa is awesome! Not only is the equipment up to date but the staff is incredibly helpful and very approachable. They really care about your goals and your struggles. Teneil Ethridge is the man he will hook you up if you go there now and ask for him! I also recommend Dave he is one of the many personal trainers who is very knowledgeable and will let you know the steps to achieving your goals! I definitely recommend him hes the one walking around with a fanny pack!

This location has some issues (NO WIFI FOR MONTHS) but nothing and I mean NOTHING is as ridiculous than the front desk AM worker. (Female, redhead) I have never in my life witnessed a more unfriendly, miserable person in my life. Every single morning, this lady acts like you are the biggest inconvenience to her by the simple act of scanning your card and god forbid you actually ask her help for something. One morning when I was brand new, I asked for her help picking out a protein shake. She asked me how much protein I wanted and I explained I was new and didnt know. Her response was Do you know how to use the internet and actually educate yourself? This morning I needed to pay my monthly dues and she rolled her eyes way back in her head and let out a loud excel of breath like you could imagine a teenage child doing. This went on for a while and she kept mumbling something under her breath. I finally asked her if I was an inconvenience to her this morning. She went on to complain about how no one ever leaves her enough money for change and people like me keep giving her 100 dollar bills. Then she said So to answer your question, yes, you are an inconvenience to me this morning! I was absolutely floored by this and was unable to speak. As I walked away she mumbled something again and I walked back and asked what she said. She, very condescendingly said What, did I not move fast enough for you this morning?!?! in the biggest smart*ss tone Ive ever experienced!Golds is aware of her because I have read here and other reviews complaining about her.Its hard enough getting the courage to go to a gym to begin with for most people and to come in and be treated like garbage by this person is unbelievable!!! I wont, WILL NOT, ever set foot back in this gym again! Life is way too short and hard enough to be around miserable people like her!
