I would like to start with I am new to TN and chose Dr. Bishop because he accepted my insurance...however now having him, I feel that it was more like a blessing! He took over a hour my first appointment listening to each one of my concerns and immediately booked appointments for specialist for me...I just had my follow up and he confirmed what the specialist suggested...he read my chart, ct report, blood work throughly prior to seeing me not when he was in the room with me like most have done in the past. I feel he cares and puts a lot more than most into his patients concerns. Very happy he is now my doctor and I highly recommend him!!! In addition I was seen both times within 10 min of scheduled appointment times (not just put in a room to wait longer) if your looking, stop and book an appointment with him, hes truly wonderful!

Dont get me wrong, hes an OK Dr but he just doesnt listen. His PA Olivia is fantastic! But good luck seeing her, she is the whole reason why I switched to Dr Bishop but I hardly ever saw her. Bishop takes about 2 minutes with you and doesnt listen. When I told him that I didnt agree with him when he wanted to put me on more blood pressure medication, especially when he knows I have white coat syndrome... I went to my old Dr for a second opinion, which I have a right to do. Apparently Bishop didnt appreciate that and he kicked me out of his practice. Hes petty like that. I know a couple of his ex patients and he did them he same way, kicked them out over nothing. I do kinda question everything hes diagnosed me with now.. If you DONT have any major health problems then hes the Dr for you.

I had been going to Dr Bishop for years. I had a spot of cancer removed from my face about an inch from my eye a few months before my incident with him..There was a new spot I was concerned about.. I had been calling my dermatologist for a couple of days and had no reply. I was worried because I only have one eye and the pre cancer was a kind that spreads and it was right next to my good eye. Instead of helping with my nerves he made me a appointment with my dermatologist 30 days away. Unconcerned about my eye. I left and went straight to the dermatologist. they sent me to the sergon that did the first surgery.. they did a biopsy on it and it was pre cancer and started treatment. Today i am sick and called to make an appointment and was informed that he had dropped me with no notice and no referral while Im in cancer treatment. I guess he didnt like me complaining to the dermatologist about the 30 day wait.. I just thought you should know. 2 months later I finally got in to see Dr Best. Very nice.. spends plenty of time with you..

Ive been a patient of Dr. Bishops since I was in my early teens when my doctor moved away and changed practices. He has always taken the time to treat my PTSD symptoms and taken the time to recommend and find a Psychologist to help me that was also in network and worked directly with him to help manage my symptoms as well as other psychiatric issues. He listens so well and really takes the time to understand what I need help with. I suffer from OCD, PTSD, MDD, anxiety, IBS, endometriosis and joint pain (the result of overworking myself in sports) even when i come in for a check up twice a year he goes through all my issues/past symptoms and makes sure that the medicine and therapy are helping like that should. He even spent two years going through different meds until we finally found the perfect one. He also helps my Gi doctor and GYN by to help keep as many of my health issues and concerns under control. He is such a caring and kind Doctor, i recommend him to everyone! i cant see myself ever not going to Dr. Bishop!

I was transferred to Dr Bishops care when my long-term primary care physician left the practice. I asked for an appointment with the Dr in order to meet him and change prescriptions over to his name. I was told I did not need to do this, but was given an appointment anyway. At all appointments I have had with Dr Bishop, I have waited in the exam rooms for a much longer time than with my previous dr (minimum 30 minutes AFTER the appt time), then once he was in the room, he never looked me in the eye, gave me any sort of physical exam, and rushed me through the visit. I felt like he never truly listened to what I was saying. At my last visit I was told I did not need to return for 12 months, then received a phone call telling me I would need to be seen in order to fill a (non-narcotic) medication that I have been on for years. I called to clarify this since it had only been 5 months since my last visit, had to lave a voicemail for the nurse, then later that day got a call from my pharmacy telling me my prescription was ready for pick-up. Then a few days after that I received a certified letter saying I had been terminated from Dr Bishops care due to our doctor-patient relationship being absent. I work in a doctors office and know that this is NOT how business should be done. However I am not upset by this letter as I was in the process of finding a new primary care physician anyhow. The letter just lit a fire under my feet to get me going on that soon rather than later. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Dr Bishop if you are looking for any kind of quality care!

I was afraid of being switched to another doctor because mine was leaving the practice and did not think I would ever get a doctor as good as Dr. White, but man was I wrong, Dr. Bishop is, simply put in one word, AMAZING! I could not ask for a better doctor for me and my kids, they love him as well, we could get a cheaper copay going elsewhere but the quality of care we have received from him and his wonderful staff is worth the extra money. I think anyone that has something negative to say about Dr. Bishop or his staff are just bitter because they did not get their way. #TeamBishop

Ive been a patient of Dr Bishop for a few years and think highly of him. I had to see a nurse practitioner before I actually saw him this time. I hope that not the way its gonna be from here on out. He knows my history and what Im up against.
