Terrible! Hate it! You have to go through hoops to get your meds and then suspend your medication because the doctor hasnt gotten back to them, but no follow up. Besides, its all the robo assistants and you have to go through transfer after transfer to get to a person and then they have no answers. One start is too good for them!
Haven’t seen this bad of a company in awhile. Hopefully you don’t get stuck with them.
After reading the reviews, I was dreading having to call them for help. And though the Q/A through the menu in the beginning was annoying, I finally figured out to enter a bunch of 0s (zeros) and they put me through to a rep. She was Extremely helpful, kind and efficient and took care of everything. Happy I called!
Horrible - do not use Express Scripts. Your information is being sent to the Philippians. They do not know how to charge your insurance correctly. They do not understand what you are trying to say. I was never told my personal medical information was being sent out of the country, including my bank account information for payment. I deleted my account immediately and stopped any prescription refills with them. This company needs to disclose they are not in the United States and your personal information is being sent to another country!
I would give them a negative rating if I could. I get my birth control filled using Express Scripts insurance provided by my husbands company. I have been receiving my pills regularly since 2009 except for a stretch of time in 2015 when I was pregnant with my daughter. I never had issues getting my medication until after my daughter was born in September of 2015. Since then I have been having issued getting it fill in a timely matter. The pharmacy where I fill it at says it is a time issue on the insurance end and the insurance says its an issue with the pharmacy and this is the same back and forth I get every time I call to fix the issue. I am due to start a new prescription this Sunday 11/19/2017. According to Express Scripts I have filled my Rx too many times since July of this year and they are refusing to fill my prescription till the beginning of 2018. They say according to their calculations I should have enough. It is 11/14/2017 there are 48 days till the start of the New Year. I am supposed to start a new a pack this Sunday 11/19/2017 and take 4 weeks of pills and start another pack on 12/17/2017. That is at least 2 more scripts I will need before 2018. I am being denied my medication!!!! I have been fighting this battle for 2 years. They refuse to fill my script until it is 100% done. This means I have to go 2-3 days without pills until my script is filled. I find this to be unacceptable. I would like to fill my script a few days before I am out so I dont go for days without taking my medication. I thought that with the new medical laws that to deny a woman her right to birth control was no longer allowed. That is what Express scripts is doing to me. It has caused myself and my family large amounts of stress as my family all works in the medical profession and have tried to help and have received the same song and dance. Being without pills in-between prescriptions is affecting with my mood and therefore my metal stability and has started to affect my relationship with my husband. I want them to fill my script when I request it. I don’t feel that is unreasonable. It’s not like I’m asking for narcotics I’m asking for my birth control pills. I have contacted the BBB in regards to this issue as well as my state senators, state representative and Governor.
Absolutely the worst to deal with. Tried looking up prescription and history just kept prompting me to log in. Tried calling and everyone I would talk to would say weren’t authorized to look at my account and would transfer me. Just trying to see why a prescription wasn’t being filled!!
I only gave one star, because I had to at least put one. I called this morning inquiring if a medication I was prescribed was covered. Prior to taking this medication, I received paperwork from my insurance carrier, not Express Scripts, stating I needed to do a few things before they would consider covering it. I did what was asked, and my doctor prescribed me the same medication last month. I picked it up, and luckily had a coupon for it, but still paid $100 out of pocket for it. I contacted my insurance carrier to see if the prescription would be covered and they stated I needed to speak with Express Scripts. Why, I have no idea, considering the paperwork I received was from my insurance carrier, not ES. When I contacted ES, the woman I spoke with couldnt answer my questions. She kept skirting around what I was asking. She stated she can see it was covered, but not preferred, and in fact the medication was not picked up last month so it was denied. ??? I told her I picked it up, I have been on it for a month, and now I am due a refill. She stated I needed prior authorization. From who??? She couldnt say. I checked with my doctor, there is no stop date for this medication. I asked her, since she was saying it was covered, I shouldnt be paying the amount I did last month, I dont know, you would need to contact your pharmacy to see how much it will be. THIS is why I DO NOT use Express Scripts. The service was not helpful, when I used it in the past, I didnt get my prescriptions/refills on time and it was just more of a hassle than anything else to deal with it. Why it is something we have to use or even communicate with is beyond me, my local pharmacy, small and friendly have taken far better care of me than ES ever has and ever will.
I have had to use Express Scripts since Obama became president. I hate getting my RXs online. They are always delayed. They send too many texts and emails and even call and leave messages on my phone for nothing important. I dont ever talk to a pharmacist and when I have to talk to someone its because they wont refill an RX without the doctors approval, even though it is not a narcotic and Ive taken it for years. If you dont have to use them, you are fortunate. grrr
This company needs to be rated negative 5, they are terrible. As someone who has used their service for myself as well as patients I would strongly recommend finding a better option. Customer service is terrible and their process is fraught with error. If your health and your Doctors well being is important to you do not use them!
Had issues with Medco before it was Express Scripts, and it only got worse. As another said, it is a crapshoot. It rarely is fast, although sometimes it is timely; it often takes phone calls to figure things out, and then often the person answering doesnt know. Most often, it is quite slow in filling prescriptions, which is what their business is (or should be). I think their online site is pretty good, though.
I was going to switch over to Express Scripts because I could get them for 90 days and cheaper than the pharmacy. I submitted my order online a week ago. I received a notice from Express Scripts saying they were waiting for my doctors approval. I called my doctors office and they said they had not received anything. After being put on eternal hold with Express Scripts, hanging up and calling back again being put on hold, I talked to a customer service person who said the doctors office has to actually retrieve them from the fax. They then explained I could ask for a 7 day refill from my doctor and then wait on my mail order. I just cancelled my order and will continue to go to my local pharmacy. Paying a little higher price is worth not going through the hassle with mail order.
I have used Express Scripts for several years under different insurance programs. I recently signed up for automatic refills for a generic drug at no cost. The worry-free refills program is highlighted on their web site, but CONSUMER BEWARE! The price of my prescription changed, but they did not notify me before sending the automatic refill. I requested a credit for returning the drug (unopened and still vacuum packed), but they will not accept the return claiming this is not their error. I have no recourse with them. I signed up for a certain drug at a certain price, but they upped the price and wont allow a return. After 120 days they will place a hold on my account and will not send any prescription refills, nor will they fill new prescriptions. I will be without medication. I asked for a copy of their return policy and automatic refills policy, but they said they are internal policies and they do not mail or email them to customers. I am shocked at the way they treat their customers, many of whom are Veterans and must use Express Scripts because Express Scripts has signed a contract with TRICARE to serve as the mail order prescription service for TRICARE.
Should be called Crapshoot Scripts. Avoid whenever possible. Website is lame. If you want to add unnecessary stress and complexity to your life concerning prescription refills, this is for you.I bumped to 2 stars because my prescription came in before I ran out. Still took phone calls to be sure what was going on.
Issues iñ covered diabetic supplies and prior authorization
Absolute nightmare of a mail-order prescription company. They constantly talk in circles and mislead their clients on a daily basis because they cannot get all their information on the same page. I will be doing everything in my power to be avoiding Express Scripts and Accredo in the future. They are raping your insurance. I want my money to go to a locally-owned pharmacy that gives back to the community it is in and does not treat their clients like dollar signs
A shady group that will put you in the hospital.Avoid at all costs
The worst company Ive ever dealt with. Hands down. They are immoral, they have terrible customer service, and they cant seem to actually operate as a company. For example, their was an issue with my prescription, and instead of letting me know so I could fix it, they just didnt fill my script. I had to call to find out what happened.
I wouldnt even give them the one star. They suck so hard. Wont be getting my medicine for 2 weeks after Im out. And they call in service is of no help with no surprise. Worst.
As an MD trying to make sure people get their meds is a huge challenge with Express scripts- now the name or number has changed and Im not sure what to do for the patients. SOmetimes people get the medications , other times not. Tamara Singleton MD
