Ive been going to this clinic for 10 + years! I love Dr R. Aka Dr Fritz. Hes the best. However, I arrived for my 9:15 appointment. Several walking were ahead of me. Signed in, filled out yearly paperwork. Was told when I initially checked, there was one person in front of me. Upon further conversation I was informed there were at least 4 or 5 9am appointments in front of me!!! When I scheduled my appointment I was told there was 1 patient ahead of me. I walked out. I simply dont have the time or desire to sit and wait 30 to 45 minutes past my appointment time! If you open the doors at the appointment time of 9am, youre already starting out behind....absolutely ridiculous, and not acceptable. I wont be back......
Im very disappointed. They lied to me on the phone and said even though my insurance wont fully cover my exam, it would cover the cost of glasses at the store attached to their office. So I pay for the exam and I go next door to find out they do not accept my insurance. My appointment was at 3:30 but I wasnt seen until 4:24. I waited 3 weeks for my appointment but I could have used that time to schedule an appointment with a place that doesnt give false information over the phone and that accepts my insurance. I dont like being lied to and having my time wasted. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Worst service ever. Rude, nprofessional staff and extraordinary wait times. I do not recommend this place to anyone needing to see an optometrist.
My first experience there was great, the staff were attentive and I got a great prescription. A year passed and my frames met with an unfortunate end, so I had to go in for a re-evaluation. This second and last visit was rushed, they needlessly tested my vision, and I left with a bad prescription that I couldnt test until their satisfaction window expired. They refuse to re-validate my previous prescription even if I come in and pay for a re-examination.It turns out that the original staff and doctors working there have left or retired, and the people there now are more concerned about bureaucracy than helping you.The staff dont care about your experience and dont care if your prescription isnt a good fit. Go anywhere else.
I had the same experience as Nanette. The new prescription that he gave me was not right. I called to explain this and the girl on the phone just told me to come in around 3 the following week. I went today and I have been wearing my glasses not the trial contact lenses. They told me the doctor could not see me unless I had the trial pair with me. This was never told to me by the girl on the phone, I drove all the way from the westside for them to tell me the doctor couldn’t see me. I have been going here for almost 10 years and have always witnessed the staff being rude and no consideration for peoples time and money! I will no longer come back here and neither will my 2 grown daughters, so because of this they will now lose 3 customers. I told them to give me the contacts I had already paid for and left saying I am done with this place and their customer service sucks! They must deal with low income people all day so they do not treat people well. Well, I am not poor and I should have rammed my Range Rover through their front door!
I’m an eye doctor who has been working with my fellow optometrist colleagues for the last 16 years; I was in a terrible situation of having traveled to Albuquerque at the last minute without my contact lenses; the office manager at Visualize could have chosen to help a fellow eyecare colleague in this time of need and been understandingInstead she chose to do the exact opposite, she was rude, talked down to me, she refused to let me Rx my own contact lens prescription, I then offered to have a prescription faxed by another rye doctor and she said she had no contacts to sell and could give me a trial pair, ONE pair, if I ordered contactsI run a clinic with 3 locations, if I knew my office manager was treating my fellow eye doctor at my front desk like this I would be embarrassed
I dont know why people give bad reviews to Dr. Rohrkaste and his staff. I was a patient for 10 years thru 2019 and never had anything but the best of care and prescriptions for contacts and glasses. I do so appreciate that Dr. Rohrkaste explains things. He also gave me excellent referrals to ophthalmologists when he discovered I had macular degeneration. If he hadnt done that my eye condition could have deteriorated alot. I have a stable condition now thanks to Dr. Rohrkaste and the ophthalmologists he referred me to.
Staff could be friendlier.. every time i call or go in it feels like they so monotone and dont care.. only gave them 4 stars bc my doctor was phenomenal
DONT GO THERE!Two months and three sets of contacts later I still don’t have contacts. After three tries of getting my contacts right I decided to try one more time. I tried to do a walk in on a weekday and they said come back at 2pm since the walk in list was full. Came back at 2pm and was told that the walk in list was full again for the afternoon. So, I made an appointment three weeks hence. In the meantime, the issue with my contacts is so bad that while wearing my contacts I had to user powerful reading glasses to see my computer screen. Took out my contacts and lo and behold, I can see my screen great without them. So, I just wore my prescription glasses to see distance. Went to my appointment, but since I don’t have the last contacts in, they won’t do the exam. “I can’t just have my vision tested and get fitted for contacts from that starting point?” Apparently, the answer is no. If we are going to do a vision check we need to do the whole exam over including the pre-tests; the eye pressure test, the eye movement test, the depth perception tests, etc. And, would need another appointment for that. Or, “we can make another appointment and you wear the contacts.” You know, the ones we know are the wrong prescription.
Good doctor but bad service with front desk. Paid out of pocket and upfront. They contacted me the next day saying i still need to pay more for contacts that i already paid off. They did not confirm what i needed to pay off and charged me more. They are so unorganized. Would not recommend.
Walked in without a appointment and naturally the wait time was really long and it was worth every second. Dr. Carter is by far the best eye doctor I have ever been to. He took the time to look at my health history and explain how it could affect my eyes health. He explained the test results and I now have a greater understanding of how my eyes work. He is generally enthusiastic about his job. I highly recommend Dr. Carter and the team there. Well worth the wait.
My experience was great! Dr. Rohrkaste was awesome and explained in depth my eye problem and warned me to be weary of others who may try take advantage of my situation. Very kind and concerned with my well being. Absolutey the best optometrist I have seen. Also, front desk employees were very cordial and helped me with my wheelchair throughout the visit and ensured comfort. They went above and waited outside with me until my ride arrived. The customers were processed fairly quick. I highly recommend this facility because of their professionalism.
Hope you dont need them on Saturday
Front staff is just RUDE!! I have been going here for several years unfortunately the front staff make this place VERY uninviting!! If you ask a question be prepared for eye rolling and asking you RUDELY to wait while they all try and figure things out! Don’t waste your time going to this place NOT worth it at all!!!
I came to this clinic for my scheduled eye exam, and I was treated so rudely by the front desk employees that I turned around and left. I understand scheduling conflicts can occur, and this is nobody’s fault. But, the staff acted as though I were a criminal trying to sneak past them. Unreal. Not as bad as Stanton, but close.
Always knowledgeable and caring toward our family over the past 5 years. He has been accurate with his diagnoses and has been very accommodating ~ even when we did not have an appointment. Yes, his is a very busy practice ~ bring a book to read while you wait; there is a good reason why his lobby is always full! Truly Compassionate! I recommend Dr. Fritz frequently and without reservation.
I happened to be lucky to catch the last walk in appointment. The wait was long and well worth it. Had some viral / bacterial pinkeye problems that urgent care really did nothing about and decided to see a specialist. Richard Carter was attentive, listened, sympathetic and great sense of humor. My prescription was expensive but it is already noticibly helping me in one half day.
Dr. Rohrkaste is nice. Otherwise not worth going here. Be prepared to wait 3 1/2 hours if you get there more than 15 mins after walk-in hours start.
I wanted to get some new glasses before vacation. I called and was advised there were no appointments this week, but they accept walk-ins until 4 pm. I arrived at 2:55 pm and was rudely advised they were no longer taking walkins today. I advised then I was told until 4pm earlier. The receptionist snapped back, thats for a different doctor . The place had one customer waiting and states its open until 6pm. I drove an hour from outside the city, for nothing. Change your hours to 3pm if you dont want to see customers after 3. What a complete joke.
Very nice staff, the doctors are quick and friendly. The price is cheap, the wait time can be long some times, right after lunch hour is the time to go. I always do walk ins and i never have had any problems. Iv been going here for about 7 years.
Customer service is terrible. I have been trying to order contacts for several weeks, and I get told to call back or no one answers the phone.
Im sitting in the lobby right now, referred here by an optometrist to fill a prescription. Ive got the frames. They are treating me like an imbecile because the optometrist didnt send my prescription immediately. Wont come back here.
New to town, I needed to order some contacts after a series of events during travel left me with a single pair of contacts and no glasses. They saw me on no notice, my examination was inexpensive, they stocked my brand, and both the doctor and staff were polite. A month and a half later, while traveling (again), I requested for a digital copy of my glasses prescription, and it was sent hassle free.
I went back into the office to pick up a new contact lens that was ordered for me; I was there during the lunch hour (around 12:30 or 1pm on 3/9/16). The office was very busy with walk ins and phone calls and Leah handled everyone there and on the phone with such professionalism (all alone). Great Customer Service!!
Rude . Tell me about a hour and I say fine I have a appointment in 2 hours. Do still here and the rude girls at desk say its s estimate on your wait. Billshit
Very unprofessional front desk staff. They do very little to work walk-ins in. If you come as a walk-in, expect to be there a LONG time. Also, triple check that they except your insurance. They will tell you you they accept your insurance and then tell you they do not accept your insurance when you get in the office. Then you’re stuck paying there fees or trying to find a different provider. Not good customer service. Are these people checking our vision or trying to sale us a car.
Very pleasant
Ive been going here for about ten years for my annual exams, always made an appointment, never a walk-in. Docs are truly great at exams and lens fitting. However, I dont understand how these pleasant and professional doctors are satisfied to have front desk staff who are so obviously rude, impatient and resentful of patients/customers.
The doctors at Visualize are wonderful. The front desk staff are however very rude, unprofessional and for the most part unpleasant. If you can get past the front desk staff, the remainder of the office visit by their physicians has always been a great experience.
Todays visit and customer service was beyond atrocious. Had it been recorded it wouldnt even be used as a bad example. Over the past several years the customs service has steadily declined. This is my final visit to the great doctors here. Apparently the leadership team does not read reviews, if this were my operation and I noticed the trend of 1stars there would be replies to the guests and changes to the training and or team members. On the tech side of things your entire IT system should be checked for vulnerabilities. Hows your HIPAA compliance? Tons of paperwork around.Dont go here for your eye exams!!!
The doctors are wonderful: and the office staff are friendly & efficient. I would highly recommend!
Very dissatisfied after 22 years of going only to Visualize. The quality and customer service has definitely declined in those years. I waited for almost 2 hours without ever being called back. When I asked for an estimate of how long it would be only one of the receptionists was not rude. The rest of the staff basically were annoyed that I asked. I understand they are busy and dont care whose money they get as long as they are getting money, but they lost my business forever after 22 years. I will never go back.
Waiting room was comfy and my entire appointment took 20 minutes Im happy with my service. 8/23/19.
Randy Carter explains everything with great detail you can tell he enjoys his job and does it at a proffesional level and is there for the customer great service and great communication highly recommended
Be prepared to wait behind other new customers, possibly for an hour or two, when picking up a prescription that should have been in the box and ready to go out the door.
I have heard that the doctors are great...but I couldnt get past how truly AWFUL the people are at the front desk. Rude on the phone, even more rude in person and unwilling to help me figure out my insurance.
Very thorough staff. Lots of services and up to date technology. And the fact that they have a Spanish speaking staff is also a +
THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE !!! We walked in at 2:00pm and waited for almost 3 hours. Not one person apologized for the wait . Had we been informed that it possibly would be that long of a wait we could have left at that point, but since I had taken the day off from work to get some things done, I stayed. I was very disappointed with the customer service I received. I Will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE EVER!!!!!
I walked in for an appointment and was handed a phone # and clip board to call my insurance and figure out what my benefits are. I have used them several times in the past and they have never asked me to do that.
Long wait for an empty office.. 3 hours later the Doctor was great but the front desk staff is incomparably slow. Saw 2 of the girls giggling behind the door and she came out with my file in hand looked right at me while she laughed.. such bad work ethic, it was super awkward and made me feel uncomfortable. Id love to use this doctor in the future but not sure I can handle the front desk attitudes. First impressions were bad, I only used this place because they are in a conjoined building with eyemart, don t let them fool you like they did to me with thier misleading tactics and verbage making it seem they are the same company and really they are not a part of eyemart!! customer service is lacking!! I went next door to get my frames afterward and they are much nicer and customer friendly at eyemart.
Terrable ServiceLong wait timeBad DoctorsMy mom and I came in to this store when they opened, figuring it would a fast and easy place to get my eyes checked and it was the exact opposite. We were there all day from when they opened to about when they closed. The wait alone just to be seen was terrable, every time we asked when I will be seen the receptionist always said about 10 more minuets. After I finally got my eyes checked and they gave us the prescription we went to the Eyemart Express next door and we were in and out. They called us to pick up the glasses after an hour but they werent right, so they tried fixing it after another 2 hours we go again to pick up my glasses and its the same problem. We go back to Visualize Optometry they sent us to Ralph and he just said wear the glasses for about a week to let my eyes adjust and so we did. No improvement so we went to another eye doctor and they gave me the right prescription and said Visualize over did the lens on my eye and thats why I couldnt see right. We went back to get a refund and they said was they can recheck my eyes after they have already been fixed by the other eye doctor. Never going back
I arrived at 4:30 for a walk-in appointment and the gatekeepers at the desk told me they werent doing anymore walk-ins for the day because the Dr leaves at 5. They close at 6. So what do the functionaries do for the last hour, just turn people away? Ill be going elsewhere.
They do not ask what brand of contacts you prefer to wear. I was fitted with acuvue oasys but I prefer air optix. Acuvue oasys are weekly contacts and just so happen to be much more expensive. I cannot purchase any contacts except acuvue oasys, unless I want to go get a refit for air optix. I was told on short notice if you are able to come in today, we are able to see you as a refit for a fee of $30.00. If you cannot make it in today you will need to start over with a new exam and fitting, which will be 108.93.
Ridiculous waiting time, be prepared to sit around and wait. Business appeared slow and all I did was wait around.
The doctors were great but the desk staff were terribly rude.
Very unorganized and dirty
