Great staff- super friendly. Quiet location not busy at all!

I was so very impressed with the staff here. My husband and I are visiting family in Albuquerque. We appreciate the staff friendliness and eager assistance to help me get my PF app set up on my phone. Thanks!!!

I have been going to PF for 3 years. I have tried several other locations and this is my favorite. Its clean, the staff is always friendly and the parking lot is safer compared to other locations. They follow social distancing criteria and all types of equipment can be accessed.

They have a nice, clean facility with a lot of options, and they would be good for someone committed to a gym routine. I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: I think it is unreasonable to require members to come in-person to cancel their membership, in general but especially considering everything weve all been through for over a year now; They have an absolutely non-refundable annual fee irregardless of any circumstance.

Facility is clean, staff is friendly, and appreciate the COVID safe practices.

The gym was very clean and the manager hooked me up with a day pass since I am here from out of state.

This is definitely one of ABQs more updated Planet Fitness locations. The staff is friendly. The machines are clean. Everybody wears a mask. Its tremendous. My only note is that the machines are pretty close to one another, which makes me a little nervous when the place gets busy. At the end of the day, however, this is a great location to work out at. Keep up the great work PF!

Great location, lots of equipment and not usually too busy. Well I am thankful that they have reopened following the pandemic, it makes no sense to me that people can be allowed to exercise and sweat all over but you cant take a shower? Is covid-19 more transmittable when people are in the shower?

Good gym. Nice staff. Just upgraded to Black card. The lady who cuts hair is very good and you cant go wrong with message chairs and hydro messages after a workout.

I love this gym I just wished they didn’t make us wear mask. The people here are really nice...downside is my sweatpants and tshirt got stolen while I was working out.

Iv been going to planet fitness for a couple years now and never had any problems . But last night we were approached very rudley by an employee , and told we were going to have to leave if my mask kept falling. I quickly adjusted it and continued my work out, 20 minutes later were were approached by the so called manager and asked to leave for no apparent reason other then the employee said he or she was offended. We explained that everything was already settled. Never have I seen such rude and incompetent service. I pay to workout there not to be accausted and spoken too so rudley. Management needs training badly

There was a bald, older man singing out loud and it made me uncomfortable.

Not that great of an experience at pf on menaul. manager and staff could show more attention to towards equality and not judging people which is a contradiction to theyre. Slogan. Judgment free zone

Very nice planet fitness location, it is very clean and the employees are nice. I have never been to a Planet Fitness where there is not a sectioned off side for Black Card members. This means that the massage chairs had their own individual rooms off to the side and the tanning area as well. Overall it isn’t so bad, it’s not busy here at all around 7 so that works for me. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers as well.

Missing equipment and closed showers...masks up during workout🤣🤣😏 Staff gave it the extra star as they where pleasant and consistently cleaning!

I do exercises in this place for more than 4 years and until now I have not had any problem. The workers are very nice and the equipment is kept clean and new. But I had an incident of a robbery in the parking lots. To more than one person including me, our cars were opened breaking the doors looking for something to steal inside. Only more security would be needed in the parking lots.

Everything is machine based workouts besides the dumbbells and weight balls. You pay 10 dallors a month so cant complain. Its a great starter gym.

Everything is cool, its a good gym...until something goes wrong and you have to talk to Tawni, the manager and then youre screwed. The gyms are independent franchises and can do and act however they want, I guess. There are gyms in town the same price, some commitment, only with hot tubs n pools... and better management. Dont give these people your bank info.

Planet Fitness does have great amenities if you choose to go with their more expensive gym memberships, I just wish all of the locations had the same machines/equipment. I moved across town and started going to a different PF and I was sad that they don’t gave two of the machines I had made part of my workout routine. Other than that, the gyms seem to be very well kept and the staff is friendly.

Great gym to workout at!!!

I have a charge dispute and I was provided an invalid email to contact their supervisors for this location. This gym has been closed during the Pandemic and I was not notified when they would charge me the yearly fee before they were scheduled to charge me the fee and the Gym was closed so I was not able to go cancel my account then. Furthermore; people attending the gym now are not following the mandated order by this state to use a face-mask and the gym is not enforcing it. They are doing whatever they want with everybodys accounts without people having agreed to it and you are not able to get a hold of anybody that can help. Ill never go back to a Planet Fitness. Theyre the shadiest gym Ive ever gone to. I rather support local businesses and have an actual person I can talk to about whatever issue comes up and be able to come to an agreement. for planet fitness you are nothing but an account. Cant even get a hold of their incompetent customer service. Their facilities are ran by kids so good luck not getting COVID.

Staff is friendly, constantly cleaning during covid. It gets packed at the typical times but it’s to be expected.

Walked in and IMMEDIATELY, my child and I were greeted with excellent service!! Didnt think wed get that so quick. I needed some information on membership and the young lady that said hello to us was very kind enough to help me with information and even explain how membership works. There was no pressure on joining quickly. She just happily explained and took her time with us. I recommend this place if you decide to become a member of Planet Fitness. You cant go wrong with this place. I felt comfortable too. I saw different sizes walk in and there were no looks that made you feel awkward. I say go in and join!!

I went in to see if Planet Fitness would be able to fit my needs as an older injured person needing the kind of space to do physical therapy exercises. The manager who showed me the facility was really warm and made me feel it would be a good fit. In fact the staff member who answered my initial phone call was the reason I decided to check the facility out. Besides a basic package, it also offers other great services, massage beds, up to providing haircuts. Unlike a visit I made 5 years ago, the atmosphere was busy, energized, & I felt I would be comfortable there.

Coming to this location again? Yeah that’s gonna be a no for me! Toni or tonya or whatever her name is, the GM... what a STANK attitude. Made my whole experience blah. How she got appointed to that position, baffles me. But whatever.. will not be returning.. strictly because of her. Thanks

Nice & spacious....no vibers....what can I say, aa perfec gym experience....then I get a Sonic burger after a workout across the street.

If you need a place to go and just workout and blow off some steam look no further. No complaints the gym is kept clean the service is always helpful and the machine work. Also they have a shower room and salon thing where if you need a hair cut they can do it. Oh and if your muscles hurt after a workout they have these little spots you go and relax. The price is about the same as every planet fitness so thats not an issue.

Visiting from Oahu and oh my goodness this planet Fitness is not the same at all. It’s creepy and quiet! The people working out look miserable. The staff is weird. The gym is so old and run down. Yeeeeeeesh. No. Not like back home. Not even a little. It’s like they went to the junk yard and pulled out equipment for 40 years ago and slapped paint on it. And why don’t any of the planet fitness’ here turn on their lights?! They’re all so stinking dark. It’s not even worth the 20 dollars here on the mainland.

It is a nice size gym if you are looking to get a decent workout. It can get a little crowded at times, but thats with every gym. There is no sauna or pool. However they do offer massage chassis and tables. You can also sign up for class. Im not exactly sure of the rates for the classes. They also have a cool quick workout section where you can get a full body workout in about 30 minutes. For the price you cant beat it.

I loved planet fitness I workout everyday... and I always seen this guy Jules cleaned the gym, I choose Menaul better than Coors be cause is more clean... Jules it’s a great employee, he makes me feel welcome to workout an a clean place... 👍🏼 Good job boy!!!

They moved some things around to create a more open stretching area which was nice but there is definitely an upgrade needed in the area of equipment. The club was relatively clean but to see the club manager and 2 staff members just leaning on the desk, it could have been much cleaner especially right before peak. The last point that I find to be the most important when spending your money is customer service. This is by far the worst planet fitness I have worked out at as far as basic customer consideration. The club manager walked right by me 3 times and didnt even look up or speak. It makes working out here awkward when the staff are the most non social people in the gym. Cant believe someone is paying these people to just stand around like they do. Seems like its mostly the GM who allows it since he was taking part. Ill be looking for a new place to work out. Planet fitness in Albuquerque anyway, does not pride itself on good customer service at all.

This business has billing practices much like AOL did before the AG stepped in to rectify the situation. Be careful if you try to cancel. You will still get billed. The GM could care less.

Went to this location to work out with my homeboy. Boy were there some nice females and people there are friendly i love working out here I really feel the burn and the weight going down for me here. They dont judge here and they really want you to hit what ever your goal is here with support

Its a standard gym. The changing room is clean and well lite. The shower area is cold but clean. They have the standard array of equipment. Nothing really stands out but at the same time nothing is missing. If you are a black card member, they have hydro massage beds which are nice. I do like the full body treatment booth. Supposedly the light promotes healthy skin. But I like it just as a meditation booth. Being surrounded by light, with wind blowing across my skin is super centering.

Asked them not to renew my contract in advance of my annual renewal date and was told the only way to prevent this was to pay a cancellation fee. Why even bother have the contractual requirement of notifying them 30 days in advance of renewal if they don’t allow you to exercise this option?Update: While I appreciate the response, I have already spoken with a manager. I was told by this manager (JD) that actually Im unable to cancel until after my annual renewal date, which again, doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Ive emailed a summary of what occurred to your clubs email and look forward to speaking with someone on your management team to get this issue resolved.

Great spot if you dont mind waiting in line for the one functioning shower stall after your workout.

Great place to get a good cardio and decent strength training in. Not enough weights for the serious lifters, but enough that you can reasonably work out. I go at 11 and there arent many people there, although I could see how it could get crowded.

All I can say is, 2020 was not a good year.

Best deal in town w the black card!! Love the free trainer too, Im actually getting toned and losing weight! Whoop whoop. And the free haircuts are the cherry on top! Very personable staff as well. Love this gym

Some of the staff is nice and its never too packed but the bathrooms are filthy and only get cleaned once a week (being generous).

Planet Fitness is franchise based. This location is just poorly managed in all aspects. Water fountains are lukewarm. When the temperature rises outside particularly in the summer, they don’t crank up the AC at all-it’s just way too hot. The clock is often off timewise and it takes months after daylights savings time has started to get adjusted. On any given day, many machines are out of service and it can take weeks to get them fixed. Out of their 4 upright sitting cycles, 3 have cycling rotations that are off and erratic and difficult to pedal. Staff doesn’t police machine squatters at all-those people who use some of the machines to just sit and play with their phones instead of ACTUALLY using the machines. Sometimes they have a trainer checking your key fob at the front desk and he NEVER even engages with you-he doesn’t even talk or even say “hi”-utterly rude.So as a follow up they almost immediately responded to my review. Hilarious. Why? Because one, they dont immediately respond to any of the issues there in the past that I pointed out to management on site and over the phone-if they had actually done so, then maybe they wouldnt have a bad review to respond to. And two, they asked me to talk directly to them-duh, all of this is the reason I am no longer a member! Just plain dumb.

I love going to this location. All the staff are so friendly. Its a nice feeling to walk in and they know my name.

There services are pretty great especially if you are a black card member. They have a lot of equipment to work out on which means never having to wait to use anything. They are also 24/5. They open 24 hours Mon-Fri. The thing keeping them from a 5 is their billing company. Even if you discontinue your membership sometimes they continue to bill you. Not the only person its happened to.

To all the people who tried to cancel their memberships. First, before canceling your membership, make sure you know exactly when you have to cancel the membership to avoid being billed again. Make sure to type a letter with the date of cancelation on it sign it at club, and have the manager you are speaking with sign the letter as well, then make a copy of the letter, you keep original! If the next month comes around and your billed again? go back to speak with manager who signed the letter of cancellation. If she/he doesnt do anything at that point, inform him you will be filing a small claims action with the city courts. In your claim, you can put to have the club pay all related court costs! Its that simple! Letter, sign, copy, original. It will take time, but worth it! believe me. You may be thinking, why would I file over small amount? well, its the principal of the matter. Take charge and dont let anybody take your money!

Always friendly staff, nice cool temperature inside, busy but nothing a few polite manners wont fix! Have enjoyed my membership so far, I go 6 times a week! Since December, have made a crazy improvement in my overall fitness goals

I always enjoy going to Planet Fitness, everyone there are so nice and helpful.

No-one bothers me. I do my 1hour jog, do some strength training and leave. The staff is very courteous and the equipment works great. I joined Planet Fitness because jogging in the winter is unpleasant. I will stay after the winter. There is no sales pressure. The pizza and bagel nights are counter productive but I choose not to partake

Excellent place to workout. But you will almost never get that free black card haircut because their barbers kept quitting and it takes them forever to find a replacement. I guess this is how they reduce cost?

This planet location is amazing, super clean and has a larger space for amentities than my home gym does!

Pretty cool... But why advertise 24/5 when its really only 24/4?? Other then that its i love going. Equipment is in good condition. And staff is always friendly.

Good workout floor with cardio, machines and a small free weight area. Men’s locker room is abysmal though. Dirty floors, scuzzy showers. Glad I didn’t forget my shower slippers.

None of the Planet Fitness gyms in ABQ are 24 hr which is a sore. Ive been to numerous PF locations outside of NM this is the FIRST time a gym a scale is NOT equipped. Theres not a PF 360 machine for circuit trainining and the machines are dusty & dirty as well as the floor. A lot of the machines are used ...older (3-4yrs old)

If I could give a negative star I would, this location lacks more than customer service! They like to tie you into a contract that they dont even know how to explain! Im disgusted with this place. If you ever need to quit they get all weird on you and debit these unknown fees and give you hell to get it back! I had emergency surgery and they took out over 40 bucks the next day after I cancelled. I couldnt even stand on my own or work, but they said I needed to cancel 30 days prior to avoid this fee. Dont do it just dont!

Very nice place with plenty of equipment. Kept quite clean and nice. Very nice enviorment to work out in. Its never loud and the staff are super helpful and freindly, I really enjoy the setup.

Always clean. Friendly staff. Nice layout. Sometimes the audio changes to another station with earbuds in, cupholders missing the bottom so my water bottle fell through. But otherwise a good gym.

This is an excellent gym for a great price. It doesnt have all the crazy amenities some gyms have but there are a few. Equipment is well maintained and it truly is a judgement free zone. There are people in all stages of their lives young and old and you never feel out of place.

I have been going to PFs all over town and this is the best location in town. It is big and clean. Even on crowded nights, there are always machines open for use.

Really awesome place. But sometimes people dont wipe the machine after use. The employees are always polite and extremely lazy. They need to scrub the elliptical machine more after.

Best location Ive been to in ABQ!!Signed up for 4th street last year but it hasnt been open for months so have tried several locations around town but this is my fave by far!!The front desk staff are super friendly and willing to answer questions in the day and the eve too! I love the layout of this location, and LOTS of perks.I even got 16 cut off my hair from the girl who cuts hair there and I am SO HAPPY with it!! It was free but I did give her a good tip cause I ended up loving it so much!Clean facility and even the location is a lot safer than I had expected, given the area its in. Ive been at night (11pm-ish) and the parking lot is well lit, there is a security Guard that drives around the property and Ive been told that sometimes the night staff will walk us ladies out if we need.

Do not sign up at this gym! Especially the Manual location as it is a daily crime seen with theft incidents happening frequently. Save your money and the stress of dealing with this area. Managed gyms for several years and this gym has inappropriate sales practices. You will have a significant hassle trying to cancel any membership and there are better quality gyms with more equipment and easy cancellation procedures.
