Decided to come to this place for a haircut. I came in with a picture and knew exactly how I wanted my hair to be (layers and curtain bangs). It came out amazing! The stylist was super nice and did a great job. Definitely recommend coming here for a haircut. They’re also a nail salon but I have yet to try it. From what I see in display they look like they’ll do a good job too.

I have gone there for 12 years and my nail tech Tina does not promise the times that are told. I have gone twice and she takes a walk in 10minutes before my appointment so I have to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time. She has become rough with my hands and feet and always seems like she is in a rush. I am not happy that I had to find a new place.

Went to get my nails redone and was quoted $38 but once I have the services done my total came out to $79 I was very disappointed I do like their work but I felt that was very unfair

Absolutely great service! Since becoming engaged this is the only shop I will trust with my nails. This is the most professional place I have been to to get my nails done. They will explain to you that they are not like other shops. They take their time and make is a relaxing experience instead of trying to get your nails done as quickly as possible like some larger shops.Im impressed and after two years of searching I have found a nail shop in Albuquerque that I will go to forever.Id absolutely be back if I need my nails done any time Im in town. Great service, great staff.

I moved to Albuquerque over a year ago and finding a new nail salon was such a challenge until I found New York Hair & Nails. They not only do a great job at gel manicures and pedicures. They get you in and out fast!Though they prefer you to make appointments, i usually do drop-ins and never have a problem getting serviced.The owner is sweet, friendly, good taste in music and does a fantastic job!Highly recommend if youre looking for a new nail salon. Other staff are great too!I would highly recommend this place if you havent tried them yet.

I had a great experience at New York Hair & Nails. My friend and I went together and were able to get pedicures at the same time. The ladies did a great job and really dug in if you know what I mean, which is hard to find. Both of us came out looking and feeling great! They offer both regular and gel pedicures.Everyone was friendly, parking was easy, will definitely come back!

I started going here about a year ago, but Ive started going regularly within the last few months (every two weeks or so). Everyone who works here is so nice, professional, gentle, and good at their job. Ive never been cut or scraped, and I get asked about my nails all the time. Oh my gosh. I have been looking for a nail salon that I can regularly come to for so long and I have now found it. The nail shape, cuticles, and sparkly gradation is up to par. Its literally perfect and it sparkles so much outside.The place is very cozy, but very clean. I really like it because it feels a bit more intimate and the care they give to your nails are more than other big nail salons.I will 100% be back & refer my friends and family!!

I dont really have any negative thing today at about this place... got there on a random Thursday afternoon without an appointment and just had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Their space is clean, not too large, but big enough.My technician was a guy (first time I had a male technician!) and he was the sweetest and friendliest ever! He did a great job on my extra damaged toe nails (I had been traveling for three weeks and my feet were pretty bad lol) and was fairly fast.Overall positive experience and Ill be back!I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone getting their nails done for the first time.

This place is just excellent. Friendly, professional. Hannah in particular is awesome. Very careful work and extremely gentle. I am not always sure exactly what I want when I go in, but she is very patient and guides me to a look I am always pleased with. Make sure you make an appointment, especially on weekends, because this place is always packed.One additional note, unlike other salons in the neighborhood, the staff here treat everyone who walks in the door with respect. That is important to me.

This was my first time at NY Nails and was recommended by a friend at work. I was not disappointed. Tram did an amazing gel manicure and pedicure. The staff was friendly and there were many regulars in there who I could tell had a good relationship with the shop. The service was professional and affordable and no-nonsense. The shop is clean and relaxing. I will definitely be going back.

I Love this salon! The owner Danny has been doing my hair for over five years I only go to him. And his wife Tina has been doing my nails. All the other ladies in there I love as well they are so nice and funny.I feel and am treated like family every time I come. The service is outstanding and the prices are so affordable for a average income gal like me whom still wants to look fabulous. When seeing these other review it just seems like people complaining that you cant satisfy. I see it every time I am there rude, inconsiderate and demanding people. If you have a time issue thats out of their control call in for an appointment! Whenever I am in rush of time Ill call to set up an appointment, as for walk ins well they do have other customers that were there before you and have scheduled appointments. & it is common sense that when you do something such as getting chemicals and all put on your nails no they are not going to be the healthiest after, but hello thats part of it. But when servicing you they take the most care of you and use the best products. It is always a pleasant and most satisfying visit when I go in. Me and my family will always stay loyal customer here! The salon is beautiful, relaxing, the service is outstanding and prices are wonderful! What more could you honestly ask for?

I used to go to this place for years until one day I had my nails done and one of my nails was filed to far to the side. I told the nail tech that I didnt like it and she argued with me saying thats how my nail grew. Instead of saying sorry and trying to fix it or try to make it look better they talked about me in their language. So Afters months of not going there I decided to see if they could repair a nail I broke since my nail salon is closed on Sunday. The lady didnt want to fix it and said they didnt have the same color and didnt even look. I was reminded why I know longer go there!!

Horrible place to go to. Went to get my acrylic nails removed and gel polish. I asked how much it would cost and the gentleman said $19 but then when I asked the actual nail tech she was going to charge $24. Rushed taking my nails off. Didn’t even shape my nails correctly had to ask multiple times for a square nail. She left so much of the acrylic on my nail that I ended up just leaving because putting gel over my nail would have looked horrible. I do not recommend this place.

If your Caucasian you’ll get quicker service. If not then they’ll tell you a 15 minute wait that is actually 45-60 mins. During your wait if their regulars or other Caucasians come in they will have priority and your wait will be extended. Then they will tell you to pick a color but right after that you will have to wait some more. Once you finally get your set done the acrylic is uneven and usually very thick. The techs are often rough and rushed. There is no cleaning or sanitation of tools or stations in between customers and they don’t wear gloves. There’s also drama amongst the techs but they bond over making fun of customers in Vietnamese. There are cleaner and better salons in the same area that do a far better job at a great price. Don’t bother.

I love this place! It is my go to salon and I have lived in Albuquerque for 2 years. The owners is lovelyand friendly and kind people. The entire staff is conscientious and the environment is relaxing and very clean. They spend more time on services than other places but if you let them know you need to get out in 30 mins or 1 hour( they can definitely do it)

I recently moved to the area from an area an hour away. I loved my past nail salon, but I refuse to drive an hour for a mani/pedi. I have been to this location twice and I can only say great things about it. The only issue I had the first time was the wait time. In their defense, it was a Friday night and they were moving people out in a decent amount of time. Just know the great service they provide brings in lots of people. I get SNS nails and a Signature Pedicure and I have NO complaints.

Tweety was great! I have never had my nails done so beautifully. She also did a lip and brow wax for me. She was fast, efficient, and gave my brows a very nice shape. I highly recommend you ask for her by name. I only wish I could find the same service and ability at home in the state where I live.

Not a good pedicure, I am not an expert, but have had other pedicures, didnt really remove the extra skin on big toes and heels... that was 5 days ago and its like I never had a pedicure... seems like it was a fake out! weird, lol

Such a bad place, not clean, the workers didn’t even talk to me and I also left with thick thick nails.. I suggest you go to a nail place in a safer location like Happy Nails.

Everyone there does a good job, but I could not tell that they clean their tools clean that they use on several people. I honestly dont believe they clean the tools between clients. They do not wash their hands between clients either. One of the nail techs put on latex gloves before giving a pedicure, which made me feel a bit more comfortable, but she wasnt my nail tech.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I came in with gel on my nails, I asked for nail polish on plain acrylic- a request that they could not accept, because they insisted on me getting the “GEL polish.” After the fifth “no thank you.” The woman begins with the drill on my nails, asking “let me know when it hurts you.” What? It shouldn’t hurt at all... She uses the electric drill to file off the gel, instead of soaking them in acetone first and jumped right into the glue and acrylic. No buff, no primer, no file, no clipping my cuticle, just glue and acrylic on stripped nails. They upcharged me without permission adding an extra $3 for the solar powder, and by that point I was frustrated, but I just asked if she could clip my cuticle down. She said “No it’s an extra $5.” After that I requested they remove the entire mess and let me leave in peace. The manager says “no we will still charge you $12.” I said no, and they told me to get out. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. ABSOLUTE MESS ON MY NAILS, AWFUL TECHNICIAN SKILLS.

**Dont waste your money!**Worst manicure ever! One of the most we have paid also. My sister and I went in and by the next day, both of our gel manicures were peeling and lifting. Sister went back three days after it was initially done to have it repaired as two of her nails had polish peeled completely off and they were extremely rude and made her wait almost an hour. Normally a gel manicure will last me three weeks, this didnt even make it to one. Dont waste your money, go somewhere else

They can definitely get the job done! IF there Im a good mood, IF its not the end of the day. I was loyal and came every week or 2 weeks. Gel Mani and Pedi EVERY 2 weeks for months! The first time they messed up I never let that nail tech do it again. Had another nail tech do it great next time around different nail tech messed up. Ok not using that one anymore then the next time its one of the owners (the wife) messed up!!! So one last chance I was told I only had to wait 15min i told them i was in a hurry. I walked out after waiting 30min. Went down the street to lantern nails and they did great. Found a new beatiful PROFESSIONAL nail and beauty bar right across the street called paxiano I was astonished and my nails are the best Ive ever had them done! They also give you a discount for your 1st and 2nd time!

Went today to get a pedi. They did not have a menu and to top it off had no hot water. . I froze. ... Then she charges me full price after I did not let her finish since it was so bad. ...Needless to Say I paid but I dont reccomend this place to anyone and especially from being a nail tech and business owner myself. . I would never charge or give service like this. .I would rather refuse the service than give myself a bad name .

I needed a urgent root touch and this place was the only one avaliable that day. I got there and was offered the price. I sat on the chair and the hair stylist spent 1.5 hours complaining and being rude about my bad hair. He kept saying I had too much of what he called bad hair. This was offensive and hurtful. I understand that he has a different culture than mine, but as a professional in the USA, he should know better. Terrible experience!!!

Mislead about doing dip powders. They said they do clear dip powder with gel polish. Ok that sounds normal. I go in and she puts a clear coat of gel polish and dips my nails in her acrylic powder 1 time and puts gel polish on me. I have gel polish which she charged me 30 dollars for. I furious and I feel cheated.

This place sucked! Their skills and techniques are awful! The female who did my nails was so rough and hardly paid attention to what she was actually doing. When taking off my old nails she was so rough and cut my real nails so short that i started bleeding! Then my new nails were glued on slanted plus she had each nail a different size! Worst experience ever! The worst manicure for a ridiculous price! NOT RECOMMENDED!

I have gotten my hair done here before and was always satisfied. These ladies do beautiful work and have good services. However, the last visit was terrible. I took my Mom there to treat her to a mani-pedi. I wanted her to be pampered. Firstly, making the appointment over the phone was a nightmare. Halfway through asking for the appointment, the person on the phone cut me off saying yeah, yeah, yeah and then hung up on me. I had to call back to let them know it was for two people. Then when we got there, they were ruthless about forcing me into more expensive services. No matter who I told or how many times I stated what I wanted, they did what they wanted anyway. I got dirty looks when i asked for just clear polish. They refused 4 times in a row to give me clear polish. The lady insisted on buffing my nails roughly instead. My bill was 3 times what I had asked for in the beginning. If you go, dont let them bully you. I wasnt as assertive because i didnt want to detract from my Moms experience. I wont make that mistake again. And I will always ask the cost before I let them do anything.

My first time coming here i felt right at home. Not only do they have amazing staff they have amazing hands.. I i highly recommend anybody who wants absoulty fabulous hair to come check it out. U will never wanna go else where. Danny did my hair. And i absolutely love i cant descibe the word love. Lol wlk in happy walk out only happier...... I never leave this place with what I ask for. I ask for matte, the lady tells me to get shiney. I wanted coffin, walk out with square. Wanted yellow, was talked out of it snd settled for color #187 which looks purple on the display, but what I ended up with was brick red. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was not happy with my visit was very rude to me and my boyfriends 9yr sister rushed in are toes and my nails are side ways nails polish is chipping away and just had them for a day! They did not ask what shape I wanted nor did they ask how short or long I wanted them! Did not pay attention to my nails they were busy on there phones! I will not be returning sorry... I asked for my money back and refused! I will be finding a different location.
