Its so nice. Being a parent and having child care is fantastic. Its clean, the staff is very nice and you have a great selection of equipment. My only complaint...its way too quiet for serious lifters. Youve got to let out some grunts and stuff!

Great gym, been going for around 6 months. Has everything I want and need. Staff and owner are friendly and provide great service and help when you need it. All around very worth it for my money. I dont think many gyms could match the quality of this one, especially not any in the area. Will definitely be sad when I have to move away for college.

After having 3 kids, I was significantly out of shape. Im down 15 pounds and am now able to run 4 miles without stopping.I would like to highlight Ms. Lily in childcare. Shes always so pleasant and friendly. When she is there I feel like Im leaving my boys with family.All the staff has been wonderful and I am so happy to have found a gym that I really love!!

Really clean and safe environment. Been there quite a few times while visiting my family and love the environment and equipment. They have equipment that I wish my gym in Virginia would have. And the people are nice and polite. The bathrooms are kept clean which is a huge plus. I try to make a point to stop in and get my work out on whenever Im in town.

My family and I loved Golds Gym!! The atmosphere was great, great workers and facility!! We go to a different gym now only because it was cheaper for our family, not because we didnt like it. I have a lot of friends who work out here and I know a couple of staff who love it!! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking!!

Love this gym!! Ive tried several gyms over the years and no gym can compare to Golds Gym Albemarle. They have all the machines and free weights you could want/need. Even during their busiest times you never have to wait for a treadmill or machine, which is always a plus! Its so spacious you never have to worry about feeling on top of other people while youre working out. Staff is super friendly and helpful, classes are so fun, and they even have healthy snacks and shakes you can buy. You really cant beat this place! Ill never get a membership anywhere else!

Golds Gym is a great gym; plenty of space, lots of equipment, fun group classes, and awesome personal trainers! They have a separate womens area which is really nice if you want a little more privacy while doing your workout. Also, I really enjoy the sauna, it definitely helps me relax after a long day.

I absolutely love this gym! Ive been to others and never get an experience like I have with this one. Dallas is always so friendly and personable when I walk in the door. Ben is always attentive to all guests, helping in anyway he can with a constant smile on his face. There are more than enough free weights and you will never wait for a treadmill. Kacey, always being nice to look at, makes my gym experience a total pleasure :) If you are looking for personal training, Bartraius is the man to see.

Golds Gym Albemarle is a great place to work on your physical fitness! When you walk in the door the staff is always very friendly with smiles on their faces. The workout classes are fun and the instructors are excellent. There is also a basketball court that I always see people utilizing. There is plenty of muscle strengthening and cardiovascular equipment and I rarely find myself having to wait to use something. The staff makes great protein shakes as well!! I really enjoy coming to this gym after a long day at work to relieve my stress from the day... its just a great place all around!

Committed trainers with most of them competing at high levels of physique and bodybuilding competitions. Knowledgeable management as well that has helped me with any complaints. Would recommend 5/5

Are you paying these people for their 5 star reviews? I have recently sent two emails complaining about the broken ac in your gym amongst other problems that need to be fixed and have yet to get a response. I work out there 5-6 days a week and the temps every day range from 76-78 on the upstairs unit and 74-76 on the downstairs unit. These are set on 67 and 68 degrees. I had to leave one day because the air was so thick in there I couldnt breathe. When I asked the manager about this he said the owner is getting quotes on getting it fixed. Heres the best part..... Talking to an employee several days later about it and they tell me the air has been broken for years but this is the first summer its been real noticeable. Nice job. This place is a breeding ground for bacteria and #1 being MRSA. Im contemplating calling the health dept and see if they will do an inspection. Where are our member fees going? Sorry but not sorry to bring this to Yelp but you ignored me when I emailed you. People in there are not happy about the broken air, the broken equipment and still wondering where all the upgrades are that were promised.

Golds gym is a great place to go. I have been a couple of times and my daughter currently goes there now. I would recommend golds gym to anyone. It is the best.

I have been a member since the beginning. Great hours since I am an early riser. I use the aerobic equipment and they are maintained well and I never have to wait.The staff is wonderful and friendly as well.Great place to workout!!!

Friendly front desk staff. Large selection of machines, free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, row machines, etc. They recently got new equipment in. They also offer classes such as Zuma, spinning, yoga, etc. that are included in your membership. They even have a smoothie/juice bar for your pre or post-workout drink. I have noticed a big difference since I joined; it is nice to have a place to go workout during lunch close to work. Stop by and ask for a free trial. Tell them Matthew Smith referred you!

I have had wonderful experiences since joining golds. Its definitely a satisfying feeling knowing you are doing something to help yourself. The staff are friendly, the other members are friendly and the classes are amazing, but do kick my butt every time.I beleive Golds opening here in stanly county has changed alot of lives for the better.

Recently became a member of Golds Gym and currently participating in the pilates and yoga classes on tues and thurs mornings. Also stretch and strength classes have benefited me as well. Hats off, to the instructors!I just need to get there more often to make more for my bucks each month as to work out on nautical machines as strength & weight baring exercises help my joint issues. Golds Gym of Albemarle is the nicest facility Ive been to! Ive been to many Golds Gyms, Planet Fitness, etc. and the Golds Gym in Albemarle has everything you need to get many varieties of workouts. They also work very hard to keep a clean facility! If you are working for top notch equipment, cleanliness and super friendly staff then you wont go wrong at Golds Gym of Albemarle.

The girls at the front desk are always friendly, especially dallas, and the gym is clean.

I love Golds! I work for an hour or two at a time and never do i have to wait for an elipticl or weights!

My experience at Golds Gym has always been a great one, having been a member there for four years, I wouldnt choose any other gym. One thing that really drew me to this gym besides the nice machines were the spotless bathroom facilities, great sauna room, tanning beds, smoothie bar, and not to mention the full-sized basketball court. Not only does the Albemarle location have great setup, the staff are all very friendly and many know the clients by name. Even though it is meant to be a serious atmosphere for working out, Golds Gym in Albemarle provides safe, warm, environment not typically found at other gyms. Not to mention, the Albemarle location offers a Kids Club for those with young children that need to be supervised while parents workout. I have heard from many parents there kids enjoy their time with the staff everyday and its such a nice getaway. Overall, Golds Gym at the Albemarle location has everything you need: a nice facility, excellent staff, and overall a great atmosphere. I always look forward to getting in my workout for the day (rare, I know :)) because of the great place Golds Gym has become for me.

I was in Albermarle for 2 days and needed a gym so I called Golds. They offered $8/day passes so I paid the $16. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The weights side of things is great...plenty of benches, 2 squat racks, lots of free weights with plenty of space. The cardio side...not so much. The first 2 ellipticals were broken, only one of the t.v. connections worked, the machines were dirty...but I got by for my 30 minutes on a treadmill. The bathroom/locker room was dirty, no hand towels...So in a pinch if you need to get a workout in I would recommend it. When I come back I will use it again, but if I was a paying member I wouldnt be happy.
