Dr. Thompson is the best! He listens, and he is very thorough. My prescriptions are always perfect there. All the rest of the staff always take time with me, and are so cheerful and polite. The assistant that fits the glasses is amazing too! He is my husband’s doctor, and was my mother’s the last years of her life. I highly recommend!

Went to Dr. Thompson today for my annual exam. The staff was friendly and able to answer any questions I had. Dr. Thompson is very knowledgeable with a friendly personality. Also, during this time of the COVID virus, they are taking steps to reduce the chances of spreading it. We will definitely be going back with all of our vision needs.

I was not a patient of Dr. Thompson’s being somewhat new to the area. I called because I was having eye pain and tearing. They got me in the same day and everyone was very professional, and also very nice and helpful. Dr. Thompson examined my eye, found the injury, and I was in and out in 20 minutes with prescription in hand. I was very pleased all the way around. I plan to make this my regular optometrist going forward.

The staff was great and they always do a good of making my glasses but today I thought the Dr. was a little rude. When I said 1 wasn’t much better than 2 when you are suppose to say which was better, he replied “I don’t ask you to tell me the degree of how much better it is, just tell me 1 or 2”.

Went today as a new patient who just moved from TN and everyone was awesome! From the front desk employee (Becca) to the rest of the staff.. including Dr. Thompson they were all great! I feel like they were very thorough with my exam. Will definitely be going there for all of my eye needs!

Great Customer Service and Staff very professional

I will start by saying that Dr Thompson was fine and my glasses are fine. With that being said, I will never go back and would not recommend anyone to go there.With my insurance I should pay 50.00 for exam if I purchase glasses on same day. After picking out my frames I paid 140.00 and was to pay rest when I pick up glasses. Went in to pick up glasses and paid balance, then asked for an itemized receipt. When I got home I noticed that they charged me 120.00 for my eye exam so I called and talked to office manager. She stated that she would look up my chart and call me back. Well she did not call me back, she had a staff member to call me. The one that called me back said that I was charge correctly and she would rearrange the figures and email me a new receipt. When I got the email receipt that is exactly what she did. She lowered the price of the exam to 50.00 and raised the other charges so it would come out to the same amount. Also she included a hand written receipt in the email. Now I had 3 different receipts all with different charges. With my insurance I get 25% off frames and all 3 receipts had me paying a different amount for the frames. I felt like I was being scammed so I called my insurance company and they contacted Dr Thompson office and got me a refund for what I was overcharged. They really need to work on the billing system.

I became a new patient here and also I picked out some new glasses too. The office staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Thompson did an eye exam and he was clearly knowledgeable and experienced with how he smoothly came to my new prescription. I purchased a new pair of glasses and they are nicely fitting and seem to be an improvement over my last prescription. I followed reviews in picking this office and I am pleased.

This is probably the worst health care center I have visited. I have had multiple problems with this place before but figured I would stay positive and give them a chance. I was scheduled to have an appointment in the morning but was running late so I called and let them know. They informed me that I was not allowed to come at all and that I needed to reschedule. No big deal right? Well apparently they didnt have another appointment available for two months. I told the lady no big deal but if thats the case Im going to need a pair of contacts to hold me over because the ones they gave me previous arent built to last that long. The manager then calls me and says that I will not be receiving any contacts, because I missed my appointment??? So I mentioned that unfortunately these contacts will not last two months and that I drive for work and need to be able to see. She never offered me a sooner appointment, and refused to give me any sort of contacts to hold me over. She then accuses me of being irresponsible, and lazy. She just wasnt listening, hung up on me multiple times, cussed me out, told me I was rediculous and needed to grow up and be respectful?? I asked her if she expected me to just drive around blind for two months and she LAUGHSand goes well I sure hope you have a pair of glasses She then told me that she would love for me to find another doctor to visit and that she does not want to see me up there at all??? For asking for contacts?? I dont care about your hurt feelings, if I cant have another appointment for two months, asking for a pair of contacts to hold me over is not rediculous!! I will not be spoken to like a child. Hanging up on your patients, denying them healthcare, laughing at the issue, and telling them to find another doctor is just rude and unprofessional.if you cannot handle yourself as an adult, and if your priority is not your patients well being you should not be in healthcare at all! On top of this issue, I have had one of the nurses assault me during an appointment. I was learning how to put in my own contacts and instead of her telling me that I was using the wrong technique, she smacked me. Yes, she smacked me. Then gasps and says sorry you just remind me of one of my kids. There is no excuse for that. You can use your big girl words instead of assaulting your patients. After dealing with this unprofessional establishment I will not be returning. I do not recommended this place to anyone! Take your money, time, and good heart somewhere else. They do not have your well being In mind.

I’ve had the worst experience ever with this facility. I went for a bartholin gland that was a cyst but not infected or bothering me at all. I’m only 23 and Dr McDonald suggested having my whole gland removed. Obviously I listened to his medical advice and had the surgery. I was told it was a minor surgery and he did not tell me how intense the process really was. I had the surgery on March 17th and needed to see him within a few days but he was on vacation and the best part.. NO ONE COULD SEE ME. This resulted in me being in the ER, twice. My leg was numb, I had a bruise that covered my bottom around to my leg and up my back. I was in so much pain. He finally seen me on the 30th just to tell me I’m okay and he’ll see me in 4 weeks. I had developed a huge hematoma from surgery and he told me it was fine/normal. To let it go away on its own. That resulted me back in the ER because it was so infected it was about to burst. I healed from the hematoma but I’m still so swollen. I went to another office to get a third opinion and my new doctor seems to believe Dr McDonald did not successfully remove my whole gland. Therefor I am having the same issue as before because my gland that was supposed to be removed is now filling back up. I have went through this all for nothing now. I am scarred physically and emotionally. It’s been over 6 weeks and I still have stitches. I’m still swollen and hardly any feeling. My new dr told me I just have to wait and see if there’s actual nerve damage. 10/10 worst experience possible and not to mention this surgery isn’t recommended on women under 40. I wish I would have known.

Receptionist very nice and courteous. Good to see Dr Thompson. Wanted my 4 year old glasses tightened but the girl helping was no help. Very disappointed I did not get this done because she informed me she is not responsible for breaking my glasses, which I need for work. I also needed a new case in which she tells me colors - so I chose a color and was added to bill - thats fine but when I saw case its not what I was looking for to have her THEN bring out what to choose from. Why she didnt do to begin with. So then had a refund. 😡. SMH - I hope she is not the one there when my new glasses come in. PS the girl whom helped me w my pre exam is very nice.

Fast service, very polite and genuinely care about your vision. I am super excited to pick up my glasses in about 3 weeks and finally have the correct contacts.

I have been a customer for years and I keep coming back because of the excellent service and the experience of Dr. Thompson. I also love that they have the latest styles of frames and assist you in finding what is right for you. The staff has changed but the great customer service has not missed a beat.

Dr. Thompson is the best eye doctor I have used after being diagnosed in 1995 with diabetes. Adult onset. He is very thorough and checks for any signs of my familys genetic eye problems. This simple thoughtfulness keeps me from worrying about glaucoma and macular degeneration. His staff is very professional and patient with all the insurance questions about what insurance will pay. Chris has always been my favorite eye assistant. I would recommend Dr. Sam Thompson for all your familys eye needs. His group is great with all ages especially senior citizens.

I absolutely love Dr. Thompsons office! They have fit me in anyday Ive needed it to check my eye pressure. They genuinely care about their patience and our concerns. They are the only eye dr I actually feel comfortable going to because I have noticed a lot of the others can be somewhat rude. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I cant have any drops due to allergies. They work with me and dont give me any grief and still manage to do a fantastic job. Will come to them as long as I can.
